Chapter Text
Spring 1st, Year 1
What a miserable winter. My holiday "bonus" was barely enough to get me out of the city. I arrived at my new home, a torn down dump filled with garbage. That Mayor Lewis is lucky I'm not the confrontational type. Not like I'd have energy to chew his ear off anyway. I cleared some space, planted some seeds, and we'll see how this goes.
Spring 2nd, Year 1
The old mariner, Willie, invited me down to the docks today. He gave me his old fishing rod. I dunno what to say, really. I left my rod with Dad, so I'm glad to have one for myself. He and I might get along.
Spring 3rd, Year 1
NO ONE TOLD ME THERE'D BE MONSTERS ON THE FARM. Almost died out there. This place is even worse than I thought...
Spring 5th, Year 1
Lewis told me about an old community center in town. It's a shame to see things so run down, but I guess that's customary in this town. Half the businesses are failing and the other half are shady as hell.
Spring 6th, Year 1
When I was fishing in the river, I saw a redhead girl caught in the rain under a tree. I guess she must've been napping with a book when the sky let up. She looked cute.
Spring 8th, Year 1
I've been here a whole week and the town smells of beer and smoke. I can't tell if it's everybody or just that Sebastian guy.
Spring 10th, Year 1
Who the hell takes Wednesday as a day off? Just as I needed seeds too. Could've gone to Joja, but those seeds are expensive. I'll just wait for a while longer.
Spring 13th, Year 1
Today was the egg festival. I met that redhead from the other day. Her name's Penny. I gave her a daffodil. She seems to be as reclusive as me, so maybe we have something in common.
Spring 16th, Year 1
Isn't it supposed to rain in Spring? It's been over a week since the last rainy day. I could use a break from watering all my crops.
Spring 17th, Year 1
Yep, the weatherman said we're going through a drought. It's been so long without rain.
Spring 18th, Year 1
I found out Penny teaches the kids in town. At least she's doing something philanthropic with her time. Can't say the same. Hmm, that community center could use some fixing...
Spring 22nd, Year 1
Finally! Rain! Sweet rain. Oh I caught a haul today. Even snagged the Ol' Legend. Man, I'm tired.
Spring 25th, Year 1
Penny's been on my mind of late. I've tried talking to her, but she's not of much words. And I'm not of much words either. Our conversations never go anywhere. At least she likes the flowers I'm giving out as I pick them.
Spring 28th, Year 1
Summer's just around the corner. I've made a lot of sprinklers. Like hell am I watering anything ever again.
