-----SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL 4-----
Item #: SCP-15000 - 黑袍使 Hēi Páo Shǐ
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
Item SCP-15000 is currently contained at Facility ████ near ████. Due to his harmful nature, SCP-15000, also known under Hei Pao Shi or Shen Wei, is supposed to be kept in an alternate universe called Dixing. Said universe is known to be his home, where he has a high ranking role in society. SCP-15000 has to be monitored at all times as he can teleport without using any equipment. (Addentum 15000.1)
The alternate universe can be accessed and left at any time using SCP-15000-1. Item SCP-15000-1 is a black spear and approximately around 2 meters in height and not thicker than 20 centimeters. Due to SCP-15000-1’s special nature of teleportation, it is supposed to be kept in a secured and separated room, not bigger than 2 x 2 meters. The room has to be monitored by at least two armed on-site security officers at all times, as SCP-15000 had been trying to access the room numerous times already. (Addendum 15000.2)
Alternatively Dixing can be accessed via a black, old door situated in a small room inside of the facility ████.
Item SCP-15000-2, Portal to Dixing, is not allowed to be extracted from the room without special precautions and at least 5 guards must be attending the transport.
While SCP-15000 is generally cooperative with most Foundation personnel, outbursts or sudden changes in behaviour are to be met with elevated force. Under no circumstances should any personnel come into direct contact with SCP-15000 during these outbursts. Thus far, no on-site staff has found a way of calming SCP-15000 during these outbursts. Outbursts last around 15 to 20 minutes, rarely more than two hours, as SCP-15000 tries to breach security and walk out of his chamber. Once calmed, SCP-15000 generally becomes compliant, and will return to containment with little resistance.
Due to his high temperament, only Class C personnel selected by Dr. ████ are allowed to access the chambers of SCP-15000.
Temporary Containment Procedure Update: ( Addentum 15000.3 )
Per Containment Committee Order 015000.S18.16.3, SCP-15000 is not allowed to be separated from SCP-15024 for more than 24 hours. In situations where SCP-15024 is not available or not in the facility, security personnel are compelled to start security protocol 347 and keep SCP-15000 secured in Dixing or at his chamber at all costs.
Description: SCP-15000, also known as Ghost King, is a male 1.8m tall humanoid creature dressed in black traditional robes and a similarly black mask. His mask is decorated with golden filigree, an intricate detailing in the form of flowing lines that follow the curve of the mask. A similar design of golden lining can be found on the hem of the robe, resembling ancient Chinese patterns. In his ghostly appearance, SCP-15000 has long, black hair. A small part of his hair is woven into two braids, which have been pulled back into a bigger plait. The hairstyle follows an ancient Chinese hairstyle probably dating back even before the Qing dynasty. SCP-15000 rarely takes his mask off when in his ancient form. He can change his location with a small twist of his wrist. His locations are limited to places he had been or had seen before.
When SCP-15000 decides not to wear his robes, he presents himself as an adult male of Chinese ethnicity in modern attire, seen with or without glasses. Dressed in suits or dress shirts, he looks like a professor or an academic. This could date back to SCP-15000 request and wish to become a university teacher. SCP-15000 normally appears with short hair in this version, which follows an ordinary male haircut. This appearance is the less threatening one and seems to come out whenever SCP-15000 feels comfortable and content. If he feels threatened or is on the verge of an outburst, SCP-15000 tends to take his ancient appearance, making him look more dangerous altogether.
SCP-15000 has proven several times that he is an intelligent and immaculately beautiful entity. He can communicate in several languages but tends to communicate in Chinese if Chinese speaking personnel are around. When left alone to spend his time working in his own chambers, SCP-15000 is seen to draw or write. All his calligraphy is kept in Chinese and seems to be about a certain ████. ( Addendum 15000.5 ) [DATA EXPUNGED] All personnel are strictly prohibited to talk about ████.

[static sound] Hello? Does this stupid thing work? [static sound] God, I hope it’s recording. Researcher [REDACTED] security number [REDACTED] speaking. Where do I start at best? To whoever hears this- maybe a future me - excuse my rambling. I’m still a bit shaken after what occured only minutes ago. [a small pause, then some ruffling and exhaling of air can be heard] So… Uhm… Many parts of the facility [REDACTED] thought that SCP-15000’s classification was inappropriate and over the top. He neither looked nor acted as if he would need the object class Keter. Well… [Researcher ████ is clearing his throat] SCP-15000 snapped. He has gone… crazy. [small pause] In a few seconds, the entity has not only thrown me on the ground but has also breached security. I’m currently hiding inside a secure space and away from SCP-15000 as all security personnel are on their way to find him and bring him back into his chambers. [ruffling sounds of clothes can be heard] I don’t know what made SCP-15000 act out so suddenly. I have been watching him busying himself inside his chambers. [pause] There was nothing out of the ordinary in his behaviour! Just like always, he walked out of his universe and began changing his appearance. He walked to the small kitchen counter we installed after he requested it, and began cooking a meal. [pause] Oddly enough, he does this all the time despite not needing to consume any food. It is something we still don’t know the reason for. It’s just so odd… [clearing his throat] Well, back to the topic. [pause] After cooking all the food, he went to a table and started drawing. He always draws and it’s always the same person [short pause] just… in different styles and some small changes in appearance. We don’t know what he is doing with these drawings but he is signing all of them in Chinese. I think it’s something like Hei Pao Shi? I’m sure there is more information about this inside the file somewhere. [Researcher ████ is clearing his throat] Anyways, I wanted to ask SCP-15000 a few things about his paintings and what they are. Protocol says that all behaviour has to be written down correctly and according to the rules. Since we were wondering who he was drawing for a long time already, I and [REDACTED] were obligated to write about the behaviour as well as the person in his drawings. As I was asking, SCP-15000 looked me dead in the eyes. His normally reserved but friendly demeanor has suddenly become surprised and… distant even? It seemed as if this question was especially difficult for him to answer as his eyes darted down on the drawing again. You know… It was weird that he didn’t answer right away. It wasn’t as if SCP-15000 wasn’t sophisticated. He is able to speak in many languages - mainly in Chinese - in an academic and sophisticated way. As one could see in all the interview data we have collected with SCP-15000, he normally would answer small questions like that in a calm and collected manner and within seconds. This time though, I had to ask several times. It seemed as if he was contemplating if he wanted to answer the question, as if… as if this person was dear to his heart and he didn’t want anyone to know about him. [pause] After I asked for a fifth time, he finally answered me. “Someone important.” It was clear SCP-15000 was stalling time and was trying to stop me from asking. Obviously I asked who exactly he was. It was protocol and this information could give us insight into SCP-15000's mind and behaviour. In retrospect…[loud sigh followed by a short pause] I probably shouldn’t have asked. His name is…or rather was, Kunlun. Since I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it, I asked again. Me asking again made him furious, his whole body became tense and still as if he was trying to calm himself down but failed miserably. I repeated the word just to be safe. I probably shouldn’t have.. [pause] Kunlun. It was only one word and SCP-15000 started screaming. It seemed as if a switch had flipped inside his brain. I have no idea what happened, but it was scary, we never had him lose his cool this badly. All the years SCP-15000 has been inside the facility, he has been behaving calmly and rarely became dangerous. But at that moment he seemed like a completely different entity, as if this wasn’t the SCP-15000 we held captive for such a long time but a dangerous version of what had roamed and lived inside our facility for a long time. Apparently this word has brought out a painful or hurtful memory embedded inside of SCP-15000’s mind. We don’t know what will happen the next time someone says the name around SCP-15000. This time he spared me and let me live, but the next time… [pause, harsh exhale] No. I don’t even want to think about it. END OF LOG --- BACK TO MAIN FILE? YES/NO --- |
Discovery:
SCP-15000 lived as a regular citizen without much traffic outside his inner circle or contact outside of his workplace. Only after the incident [REDACTED] did the facility find out about his existence. Only after this did the foundation discover SCP-15000 in an academic facility located in Dragon City, teaching students about Chinese literature. Apparently, SCP-15000 had been teaching inside the facility for many years under the name of Professor Shen Wei.

LOG WRITTEN BY ████
20.01.████ 16:00
SCP-15000 suddenly appeared in the room without using SCP-15000-2. Personnel was confused but quickly wrote down that SCP-15000 has teleportation powers far above the strength we have believed before. SCP-15000, still dressed in his black robes, collapsed to the ground. Class C personnel have to go inside and check on SCP-15000.
20.01.████ 16:20
SCP-15000 is still unconscious. Personnel have removed SCP-15000 from his collapsing point and have put him on a hospital bed. Due to SCP-15000’s classification, he cannot be transported this way out of his chambers and instead a nurse and a doctor have to stay close to SCP-15000 until he awakes. Six Class C Security Personnel are on site and available in case of emergency. Nobody knows how SCP-15000 will react when waking up. Personnel therefore need to be ready for possibly restraining SCP-15000.
20.01.████ 16:25
SCP-15000 woke up and looked around in panic. A nurse had been checking his vitals the moment he awoke, and started screaming, making SCP-15000 jump up in shock. Nurse got extracted from the room immediately.
20.01.████ 16:26
Still in his black cloak, SCP-15000 began rapidly teleporting throughout the room multiple times. Motion cameras cannot follow him when he is teleporting and any infrared equipment is not helping Security to track SCP-15000’s location either. Doctor and nurse were transported to a safer location in case of SCP-15000's security breach.
20.01.████ 16:50
After teleporting around the room multiple times, SCP-15000 suddenly disappeared from his chambers. We do not know where he is. He could still be inside the facility or back in Dixing. All security personnel are currently searching for SCP-15000 as he could possibly be anywhere.
20.01.████ 17:40
We have finally found SCP-15000. After almost an hour, ████ found him inside SCP-15024's chambers. It seems he had stayed there for the past 50 minutes but we cannot be sure. SCP-15000 was calm and had been in his academic clothing. Since SCP-15024's chambers are on the other side of the facility and on another floor, it was by pure accident that we found him so quickly.
20.01.████ 17:45
SCP-15000 has been detained. He was neither aggressive nor did he try to stop the detainment. Instead, SCP-15000 cooperated with the security personnel and was easily brought back into his own chambers. We do not know why SCP-15000 was inside of SCP-15024's chambers. Was it an accident or was this teleportation place planned?
20.01.████ 18:00
SCP-15000 is finally inside his chambers again and has started pacing around. It seems as if he is not happy but the vitals don't show any higher pulse or anything. Doctor ████ will speak with SCP-15000 tomorrow. We need answers.
20.01.████ 18:25
SCP-15000 has calmed down now and has started his evening routine. He cooks something only to throw it away afterwards, and then starts reading a book.
Even though we do not know how and why SCP-15000 has breached security today and how his teleportation works, the breach showed us that SCP-15000 is far stronger than he let us believe till today. Not only is he in no need to use SCP-15000-1 The Spear to teleport, he also is strong enough to teleport through dimensions or at least from Dixing to our dimension.

Protocol about SCP-15000 and SCP-15024
Encounter protocolled by Dr. ████
12.08.████ 08:00
SCP-15000 wakes up like any other day. He walks over to the kitchen and begins cooking, despite not needing to consume any food. Class C personnel Arnold ████ enters the room with SCP-15024 right behind him. SCP-15024’s arms are restricted by platinum steel handcuffs and a short chain which Arnold ████ is gripping tightly.
12.08.████ 8:10
SCP-15024’s cuffs get taken off and Arnold ████ leaves the room, meaning SCP-15000 and SCP-15024 are alone in the room. “Do you want to eat something, Zhao Yunlan?” SCP-15000 asks and looks over to SCP-15024, who seems rather confused about all of this. Unsure about what to do, SCP-15000 fiddles with his glasses and lays them on top of a small bedside table.
“What am I doing here, Shen Wei?” SCP-15024 looks around confused, rubbing his no longer restricted arms and then meets SCP-15000’s eyes.
[Monitors in the research chamber pick up a slightly higher heartbeat not only on SCP-15000 but also on SCP-15024. All personnel have to stay put in case of an emergency.]
“I requested your move into my chambers. Have I… misunderstood something?”, SCP-15000 asks with a slight tint of red on his face but still meeting SCP-15024’s eyes.
“No, I was just...confused. It’s nice to see you again, Shen Wei. You haven’t visited me for a long time.” On SCP-15024’s face a cocky smile appeared as he moved a few steps forward.
“That is true. I was stripped of my spear and this made teleportation harder for me.”, SCP-15000 stopped in his own steps and started smiling slightly. “Yet I am glad the authorities allowed this visit. I was dearly missing you.”

Addendum 15000.5:
Interview between Doctor ████ and SCP-15000
Dr. ████: How do you feel today, SCP-15000?
SCP-15000: Please call me Shen Wei.
Dr. ████: Good, Shen Wei. Would you mind answering some questions?
SCP-15000: I’m happy to be of service. How may I help you?
Dr. ████: I’m glad to see you in a cooperative mood today.
SCP-15000: [SCP-15000 begins to smile] Am I not always cooperative, Doctor?
Dr. ████: The last time we spoke, you barely answered any questions and proceeded to breach security only a few hours later. I was wondering if I had said something that upset you?
SCP-15000: [ No answer, SCP-15000 keeps smiling at Dr. ████ ]
Dr. ████: I count that as a yes. SCP-1… I mean Shen Wei, how do you feel today?
SCP-15000: I feel good as I have made a good friend inside this facility.
Dr. ████: [ Dr. ████ seems to be searching frantically through his notes until he lands on the page he was searching for ] Are you talking about SCP-15024?
SCP-15000: Yes. I have felt his aura the last time I breached security.
Dr. ████: You were in his chambers when we found you, right? You were talking to each other.
SCP-15000: His face and body reminded me of someone. Someone who has lost his memories of the life he lived before this and of many more, and someone whom I have been searching for centuries already.
Dr. ████: Are you telling me that SCP-15024 has lived as long as you have?
SCP-15000: No. If he is the man I believe he is, then he lived even longer. He may not remember it, but Zhao Yunlan wasn’t always the man he is now. His...his powers and his strength to use dark magic is embedded in a long and painful story I would rather not share today.
Dr. ████: Is the story painful for you or for him, Shen Wei?
SCP-15000: [SCP-15000 keeps quiet]
Dr. ████: You call him Zhao Yunlan. Why?
SCP-15000: It’s the name chosen by his family.
Dr. ████: But SCP-15024 has no family.
SCP-15000: How would you know? I heard he wasn’t sharing many details with the facility or any personnel, so it’s impossible for you or anyone besides himself to know about a family.
Dr. ████: [Dr. ████ stays quiet for a while and nods] You are probably right. SCP-15024 hasn’t been sharing any information regarding his family or his ancestors. I was wondering… Why have you been searching for him?
SCP-15000: [SCP-15000 stays silent]
Dr. ████: I repeat again. Why have you been searching for him, Shen Wei?
SCP-15000: [SCP-15000 stays silent and proceeds to look Dr. ████ dead in the eyes]
Dr. ████: SCP-15000. Answer the question. Why have you been searching for him?
SCP-15000: He was my lover and mentor when I myself have only been a little ghost king. Unknowing of social behaviour or societal norms, Kunlun helped me learn them. He has freed me from my miserable and dirty life and made me into the person I am today. Before he found me, I was just...dirt, belonging to all the other waste in Dixing and wishing for this world to burn. But Kunlun...he made me love this thing called Earth. He showed me the reason for everyone's life, he showed me what it meant to live.
Dr. ████: It seems you have very strong feelings towards him and what you believe SCP-15024 to be.
SCP-15000: That is correct, Doctor. That is also why I want to request something.
Dr. ████: What is it, Shen Wei?
SCP-15000: May I live with, or at least closer to, Zhao Yunlan?
Dr. ████: Shen Wei. I am not sure if we can allow it. SCP-15024 is currently under classification, and if you as well as another dangerous being would live together, you both might breach security and try to hurt people.
SCP-15000: I never hurt people willingly, Dr. ████! I never-
Dr. ████: SCP-15000, I can understand your request and can see if there is a possibility for that change, but - and I mean it - I cannot promise you anything. Maybe the foundation will accept your request, or maybe it will not.
SCP-15000: Thank you, Doctor.
