Ricky knew Lucy was his angel and that she would always be. The moment he saw her he felt sparks and he had never felt them before with any other girl he had been with. So as he stands here watching her lay in the hospital bed trying too hard not to leave him he knows he has to do the hardest thing in the world right now and that's to let her go. He bends down and tells her he will be alright and she can let go and how he would see her before she knew it. He knew as soon as he told her that she was finding the peace to let go and wait for him on the other side.
