Professor Venomous has many strengths. Having the common sense to bring a flashlight with him in the middle of the night while wandering a graveyard, however, certainly isn't one of them. He stumbles as he steps on a rock below his feet, yelling out as he just barely catches himself before he falls. Venomous takes a deep breath and holds his arms out to his sides to steady his balance before continuing onward. The faint moonlight that's just barely peeking out through the clouds is his only source of light.
A voice from behind speaks to him, "hey."
Venomous startles and quickly whips himself around to face the source of the sound, only to be met with nothing but empty space. He shivers as a feeling of dread and uneasiness washes over him, sucking in a sudden breath through his teeth as his heart begins to pick up pace. Going to a cemetery at nearly two in the morning is something most people would have second thoughts about, but here he is anyway, unsure entirely of what else he was expecting.
"I'm over here."
He yells out in surprise and takes a step back, nearly tripping over one of the tombstones behind him. The voice groans and mumbles something under its breath before a ghost appears directly in front of the Professor's face. They press a finger up against his mouth and shush him before floating back just enough to give him space, allowing him time to steady himself again before they continue.
"Are you lost?" they ask, tilting their head with curiosity. Professor Venomous shakes his head and sighs, "uh, no," he says, pausing for a moment to think of what to say without stumbling over his words, "I'm actually here to visit a grave. Kaio Kincaid. You wouldn't happen to know where it is, would you?"
The ghost's expression softens slightly, and they glance around the graveyard for about ten seconds, before pointing toward where it was. "Keep going straight, then take a left when you see a tree stump. You should be able to find it down there; if you see a giant pile of sticks, you've gone too far."
"Okay. Thank you." He shakes off the uneasy feeling from moments before and follows the instructions he was given, trying his best not to trip over any of the headstones. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, he still trips on one of them and lands on the ground with a thud. A quiet groan escapes his throat as he pushes himself up and mumbles a "sorry" before he glances back at the grave just long enough to read the name and date embedded into the stone: Kaio Kincaid; 200X - 201X. "Oh. I found it."
He suddenly falls silent, and a heavy feeling forms in his chest as he stares at what was undeniably where his son's body was buried. Immense amounts of intense, pain-filled emotions wash over him, and he sits there with no idea how to deal with any of them in the slightest. "Oh," he whispers, "I found it…"
