"What are you doing here? Go back to bed".
"I don't wanna, you're not there", Nat answered sleepily, sliding onto the chair next to Wanda, wrapping her arms loosely around her waist and laying her head on her shoulder.
"Your hands?" She asked to which Wanda quietly murmured "Yes".
Natasha admired and hated at the same time how her girlfriend pushed herself during training. Her determination was great, but resulted in sore arms and tender palms more often than not.
Sometimes to the point of Wanda not being able to move her fingers without immeasurable pain.
The redhead retraced her arms from Wanda’s waist to gently take her hands from the hot tea mug and kiss them better. There was not much she could do to help the brunette, but she could do this.
It always seemed to help, albeit only a little, but Nat was willing to take every small victory she could.
She cradled Wanda’s palms in her hands and bent a little to them not wanting to add to her girl’s pain, only wanting to lessen it.
Natasha gently kissed the brunette’s sore hands, taking great care to trace her lips across every vein and bone she felt underneath Wanda’s skin.
She tapped her nose on Wanda’s knuckles taking in the smell of her girl’s warm skin. Natasha ended her journey with a playful little nip to the tips of Wanda’s fingers and looked up from her position at Wanda who was already gazing at her with tired, grateful eyes. Natasha was rewarded with a small smile and a gentle squeeze to her palms.
The redhead sat up straight, the bend position proving to be too uncomfortable after a while. She slowly, delicately brought Wanda’s hands to her face not wanting to add to the brunette’s discomfort
and kissed her hands some more for good measure.
“What can I do?”, she whispered nuzzling into Wanda’s delicate hand.
“This is helping”, Wanda answered, but upon seeing Natasha’s look she sighed.
“There’s nothing to do, but wait for it to pass, my love”.
Nat still frowned, even though she knew that would be Wanda’s answer.
“I don’t like seeing my girl in pain”.
“It’s not that bad, detka”, Wanda murmured.
“I can always tell when you lie, little witch”, Natasha smirked and brought the brunette’s hands to the tea mug covering them with her own.
Wanda leaned her forehead against the redhead’s and breathed her in, letting herself be enveloped in her girlfriend’s comfort.
“Thank you for always taking such good care of me, Nat”, Wanda whispered, kissing Natasha’s nose.
The spy scrunched her nose and pecked Wanda’s lips in response.
“I’m so tired, love”, The spy felt a dull pain in her chest at hearing the witch’s tone.
“Come back to bed with me, Wanda. I’ll hold you and we will put a pillow against me, so you can elevate your hands a little, like the last time, remember?”
“Yeah, I remember”, Wanda smiled.
She did remember falling asleep quickly, although she’s not really sure if the pillow helped or sitting for two hours at the kitchen table simply exhausted her beyond measure before Nat woke up and
came to collect her back to bed.
Either way, cuddling with Natasha was always a good idea.
“Let’s go, little witch”, the redhead helped Wanda get up.
Wanda kissed Natasha’s skin wherever she could reach from her position beneath the spy’s chin and with both of her hands on the extra pillow resting against the redhead’s side.
Natasha traced her fingers delicately over the brunette’s shoulder and arm, kissing her hair from time to time, lulling her girl to sleep. Turns out it wasn’t the pillow or tiredness, it was Nat, it was
always Nat.
