Peppermint Cookie sat atop their whale.
It was midday now. The sun was shining, the weather was warm, the waves were calm, and the soda oceans sparkled with radiance. Even the seagulls flying overhead seemed to have respected this peace, not making a sound other than the sound of their delicate wings flying in the way.
Peppermint Cookie sat waiting.
It had been quite some time since they had seen a friend of theirs. It had probably been weeks, maybe even months, since they had last crossed paths. However, after being allowed by Captain Ice Cookie, they rushed over to a familiar part of the ocean.
There was a small sandy island nearby, with a single coconut tree. The island itself was pretty small, only being big enough for a few cookies to stick around. However, this island held significant value towards Peppermint Cookie, it was a spot that they used to play, Peppermint and their friend. The cool oceans, the warm sand, the joy and the memories.
Peppermint waited.
Seconds began to pass, then minutes, and hours. Soon, the sun was just peeking out above the waters, barely being seen, turning the sky into a bright golden color.
Saddened by the time, Peppermint began to return home. But before telling their whale to do so, something began to surface from the water beneath them. Soon enough, a cookie with a shark’s tail was floating in front of the whale and the cookie.
“Well, it’s been a long time, hasn’t it?” the cookie said, as Peppermint began to cry tears of happiness.
