Even though Jungkook knew his biggest fear would come to him, he didn’t think he /the alpha/ would come this soon. His parents want him to change universities and study alongside his future Alpha, so that they get to know one another, all Jungkook could think was why him and why now, when there is so much in life he still has to do and accomplish and why not that stupidly handsome alpha who /he/ is being sent off to marry against his will.
Jungkook isn't one to go down without putting up a fight. Even Though he has only seen the alphas photos and stalked his social media, Jungkook agrees that he is the most beautiful and handsome alpha he has laid eyes upon, that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to pay for accepting the proposal. He is going to make him run for his life.
The young omega has dreams, small but still dreams that matter to him. His family never allowed and encouraged him to follow his dream because it's a shame to work for an omega to work, especially one that comes from Busan’s wealthiest family. He is only 20, the minute he turns 21 he will be tied to some stranger he has never met, only heard about from his mother and seen photos behind his parents back, his whole life took a turn into a direction he didn't really want to head in.
Don't get him wrong, Jungkook’s relationship with his parents is beautiful, they love him, he loves them but when it comes to freedom to make decisions that are important for his life, he is ripped off of all the rights as a human. They were a little conservative and behind the times when it came to few things and still are but he loves and respects them too much to say no, so here he is bidding his goodbye to them before taking his private jet to Daegu.

The university dorm is nice and clean and he is going to have so much fun torturing his future mate. Now that he is reminded of him, where is he and why hasn't he shown up yet to welcome him? It’s not like Jungkook wants to see him or something.
So he busies himself in his new dorm which has two bedrooms, one bathroom to share and a small kitchen with a living room at the front. Even though he is excited to meet his roommate, he has never lived with someone just ten footsteps away, never shared a bathroom with anyone ever but it comes with freedom that he never got in their palace like home, living like a prince.
He is going to shop for some marvel posters online to decorate his room later but as of now he is going to sleep off his nervousness and fear knowing that he is alone in this new city with a lot of strangers and there’s no one by his side.
Speaking of his roommate, he did do some snooping and the other room is so messy, like a hurricane came in and wrecked the place, so now he is also dreading the type of roommate the other guy will be because the young omega is a clean freak.
The sound of the main door clicking open and close woke him up from his wonderful dream of shiny and pretty pendants and earrings and chains he was buying. He loves shiny things. Well now that he is up, time to greet his to-be lovely but messy roommate.
The pretty omega with his boba ball face sluggishly makes his way to the living room bare feet, rubbing his eyes.
“Hi-”
Oh my god.
So handsome.
Shiny, without jewels, wow.
What- no, no, Jungkook shakes his head breaking his own chain of thought, he is not handsome, not at all.
The alpha has been waiting for this moment, to see his significant other, the other half, life partner, love of his life, his husband and all the other synonyms combined but nothing can beat the unexpected moment he sees him, drowning in an all black big hoodie engulfing him paired with joggers and messy hair, big round eyes staring at him with that small default pout on his face.
The thing is, he has been preparing for this day for a while, to welcome his omega. He was so excited to meet him that his friends were tired from all the gushing the alpha did about how pretty and handsome and beautiful his future mate is.
The whole university knows about this, because he has been going around, threatening everyone to welcome his future husband,in his mind they are already mates, more like his way of saying ‘stay 10 steps away from Jungkook or you have to go through to me’.
The alpha just wants to make him feel safe in the new environment, to make him feel like it's now his home too. Given his true nature, he can’t help but feel protective of the said omega already and a little possessive too but his reputation gives that away, the people around him already knows the protective and caring side to the people dear to him and it's his future mate, we are talking about, duh. Some may be a little irked by this but most of them are in awe, and get to see his loving side.
Meanwhile, Jungkook is staring at the alpha like he has seen a ghost, standing like he owns the whole world /he kind of does- jungkook world’s but he won't admit/ in his brown slacks and green knitted sweater with signature Gucci loafers.
Both of them are staring at each other, and the alpha takes a step forward.
“Jungkook”
“Taehyung”
The omega can’t help but utter his name, the strange alpha’s name who he is going to marry. Who he thinks is going to be rude, obnoxious and self-righteous like most alphas are, he made the bet with his friends slash house helpers, that he would be.
He was so wrong.
“Hi” Taehyung smiles at him.
Jungkook scoffs at the deep, raspy voice, now why does he have a sexy voice too?
“What are you doing here?” the omega asks instead, no small-talk and exchanging names cause it doesn’t matter now, they are going to wed off anyways.
“I live here.”
“I LiVe HeRe” jungkook intimates him, at least tries to in his deep voice, walking to the kitchen, the alpha chuckles at that.
“How can you live here? We can’t live together before marriage” he lightly blushes at the thought. “Besides alpha and omega can’t live together, isn’t that university rule?”
“Yes ba-”
Ugh. Taehyung needs to get a grip, they haven’t even spoken to each other properly and he is already throwing the B word besides it seems like omega hates him.
“Yes, jungkook but we are supposed to live together. Our parents have talked to the university and they thought it would be good for us to live together, it would make you feel safe too.” he explains calmly, looking at the omega who is stuffing his mouth with salted chips, sitting on the kitchen counter. So cute. And the alpha especially filled the pantry with his favourites for his pretty and buff omega but he didn’t think the sight would be so cute.
He is so cute, like an angry eating bunny.
“There goes my plan to make friends,” Jungkook mutters to himself.
“Pardon?”
The omega glares at him with furrowed eyebrows then goes back to eating.
Taehyung sniffs in the air, the strong strawberry smell coming from his omega. Fuck, strawberries are his favourite and now his omega smells like strawberries, he is dying inside to scent him but he can not until he knows what’s on his omega’s mind.
God, he already sounds so in love.
So he takes a step forward, then two until his omega is just in his reach.
“Would you like a tour?”
“No”
“How about going to a cafe and looking around?”
Again the bunny omega says no, scrunching his nose.
“Then netflix and chill?”
“How dare y-you- say something like that when we just met, knew you would be like this”
Jungkook gets down from the counter, stomping his way to his room when taehyung stops him.
“Wait- no jungkook, i really meant watching something and not that- “ he tries to explain but the omega is ready to leave.
“Yeah sure” and he just left, leaving the older alpha alone, cursing at him cause he really didn’t mean like that but who is gonna explain that to the-not-so-angry-omega-but-just-too-much-to-handle but he can handle him quite carefully.

The next morning when Jungkook comes out of his room to take a shower, the smell hits him, the smell of the first rain, too strong, too addictive yet so warm and comforting.
So Taehyung was wearing scent blockers yesterday, Jungkook nodded to himself at the discovery but couldn’t move, like the scent of /not his/ alpha is calling him. He wants to drown in his scent but no- he can control himself, he can control his omega very well. Yes.
And that moment Taehyung decides to come out of the shower, the towel hanging low but gave away everything anyway cause ugh, he really didn't want to ogle at the alpha that too in the morning.
So jungkook being jungkook, slides past him, knocking him on the shoulders on his way just to show him who has the upper hand.
Taehyung just shouts that he will be making their breakfast and leaves him alone, smiling to himself.
The whole shower, the younger omega could only think about the alphas toned and tanned torso, the alpha with those sharp collar bones and thick neck, totally drool worthy. This is not good for him but oh well he got abs too so maybe he could show off in front of the alpha too.
They both got ready for their classes, eating toast and strawberry that jungkook thought was too bleh for his taste and while throwing comments like “knew you alphas don’t care about these cause you got it served in bed” but he knows he is a hypocrite when he got the same treatment, given both their families are probably the wealthiest, maybe that’s why they want their sons to get married, so they could get wealthier while maintaining their status.
Rich people are getting richer and the poor, poorer.
They take off to the college together bickering like an old married couple. Since Jungkook doesn’t know a thing about the outside world and has never been to his college, Taehyung insists that he will show him around and take him to classes in the name of their parents but it's really just Taehyung, wanting to spend more time with him.
The alpha helps him get his schedule and when a student got appointed to give Jungkook a tour, Taehyung took it in his hands saying ‘he could show him around better’.
Meanwhile Jungkook feels like everyone is staring, he gets it though, he knows he is pretty and he owns it but it's overwhelming, the attention is just too much. That doesn’t mean he is going to thank the alpha for fetching his schedule or giving him a tour, common that’s the least he could do for him after agreeing to marry him.
When one student out of nowhere asks if he is ‘jeon jungkook’, he flinches. Nobody ever dared to come to him directly, he is so used to having his attendants and helpers to do this for him, this all seems foreign to him.
Taehyung senses his discomfort and decides to offer Jungkook a hug to calm him down, it doesn't matter that they are standing right in the middle of the corridor, Jungkook gives in after thinking of pros and cons for a minute. What could be highway anyway, they are literally fiances.
The omega takes a hesitant step forward, wrapping his arms around the alphas neck, hiding his face in his neck and from everyone.
There stands Taehyung and Jungkook wrapped in each other arms, alpha caressing his back to soothe and calm him, just them against everyone.
“Okay that’s enough now” younger omega breaks the hug to head to his first class leaving taehyung standing there, mouth agape at the abruptness of mood change of his jungkook.
He has a feeling, he is gonna see this ‘mood change’ more often now while chuckling to himself.
