The cabin was warm from the fire in the corner, it had not been long lit yet the warmth it gave suggested that it had been burning for hours. Druig's glare, however, was the polar opposite.
"Why are you here?"
"I need help," (Y/N) said hesitantly, looking at the door. "You know, I should probably go. I'm sorry to bother-"
Druig reached across to stop (Y/N) from moving towards the door and back into the woods. "With what?"
"Ikaris has been enraged lately. He had inflicted much pain on others. I had mentioned it to him to try and stop this madness but he..."
"He shifted this rage to you?"
(Y/N) nodded as Druig placed his fingers under her chin, lifting her face to look for any signs of bruising or wounds. "It isn't the first time but I just thought that I shouldn't be around him for now. It didnt feel safe."
Druig sighed as he moved away from (Y/N) and towards a cupboard as he retrieved a blanket and a few pillows, dropping them down on his sofa. “You can stay here until you feel safe, but no longer than that, understand?”
(Y/N) smiled in thanks. She knew that Druig would allow her to stay well beyond that. As much as he would deny it, the man could use some company, or at least company who knew the turmoils of being immortal like he did.
"Thank you."
"Anytime."
