everytime you take my breath away

Summary:

“You always know what to say, don’t you?”

Artem laughs softly once again, nuzzling into Marius’ neck.

“Perhaps I am just used to you, Marius.”

Work Text:

When Artem Wing woke up, it was to the feeling of soft fabric draping over him, and the prostitute then opened his eyes slowly. Artem blinks, trying to focus his sight before he feels a hand caressing his cheek softly. He leans towards the hand, enjoying the touch of the gentle, cool hand on his face. It was not until a minute later, Artem was fully awake.

The prostitute shifts his position, his blue eyes looking up towards the other man.

“Good morning, my king.”

Marius von Hagen smiles, adoration and love in his eyes. The younger man leans down, keeping his hand on Artem’s jaw to tilt the older man’s face towards him. Their lips connected, the kiss deep and sweet. Marius stays in the position even after breaking the kiss, making their foreheads touch. Artem sighs in content, not wanting to move either, but he knows better now not to trust Marius with the time, even more so in the morning.

“Your Highness, I suppose you do not have anything scheduled this morning?” Artem asks, his voice heavy with sleep. Marius leaves a light kiss on Artem’s jaw. “No, I don’t. Why? Do you dislike spending time in bed with me that much?” The king chuckles, his other arm curling around Artem’s waist and pulls the man towards him.

Artem’s response is a small laugh escaping from his pretty lips, leaving Marius breathless at the sight of the man. (Marius knows, even if he’s the king, there’s always something that he can’t have. Like this exceptionally beautiful man in his arms.)

“I wish I could keep you here with me forever.” Marius whispers, hugging Artem tightly. He can feel Artem’s breath hitches, and the younger man grits his teeth.

“You can for now at the very least, Your Highness. For I am and always will be yours.” Artem replies, tucking Marius’ purple locks away from his face. Marius sighs before smiling lovingly at him.

“You always know what to say, don’t you?”

Artem laughs softly once again, nuzzling into Marius’ neck.

“Perhaps I am just used to you, Marius.”

The way his name rolled off Artem’s tongue makes him feel warm, and Marius forces himself to not jump on the older man again, remembering how much they did it yesterday.

“I hope you won’t hate me for that, then.”

They both know they can’t stay this way forever in their own little dream bubble, but at least for now, they’re just Marius and Artem, not two people with different weights of the world on their shoulders.
