Summary:

Let's take a dive into Annie's emotions.

Chapter 1: OVER IT. (1)

Chapter Text

It's almost like...like notes on the piano.

Life goes note for note, trying to make sense in song. At least, that's how Annie viewed it. If not that, then, her life was throwing her around like a ragdoll.

Annie’s life is definitely one that doesn’t make much sense. It’s the opposite of normal. But, she is also the opposite of normal. Could she even complain?

Not that she meant to. In fact, she wasn’t at all...right? She didn't like the mundane anyway. That shits for the birds. Feeling her feet on the ground, music blaring in her ears, she began to wander off into a world that made sense to her. Brighter colors, emotions that made sense, somewhere where she wasn’t...stressed. She wondered if that world could be brought into this one.

Her hands swept across a fence on her right, her gloved hand somehow not getting caught.

People in her past thought she was stupid for having so many emotions. She was too emotional for a lot of people, she’s gotten used to being told that. She couldn't tell if she was still angry at them or not. She held a lot of anger in her tiny body, she wasn't even sure from what. Maybe... at everything,

But...just for once. Just for once, she would love to feel like...she wasn’t so annoying to everyone.

At least music was fun to listen to. More than fun, actually.

She didn't mind being labeled as the kid in the back with her earbuds in. Some people seemed to like that mysterious side. And, though she has lots to say, Annie is never sure how to say it or get any point she has across. So, she just...wasn't sure.

Annie had the whole street to herself. The stars were starting to come out, she better head home quicker.

Garcello would...definitely start to worry about her by now.

To be quite honest, Garcello was the only person Annie could stand at this point. As she turned a corner, she messed with her hair and brushed it out of her face. She huffed a sigh, noting the end of the night getting to her. But, she still had stuff to do. She was oddly motivated. Even if she was in a bad mood…

She was kinda over being in a bad mood all the time.

Just.

Over it.

Slumping on her bed, the girl stared at her ceiling for a moment. Her bedsheets fluffed around her. It was quite comfy. She was also glad she was changed out of her jeans and into her favorite comfy sweatpants and tee. Hah, a moment of peace…

…But, why did it feel so negative?

The good thing was that she was in her room, a place of comfort for her. But, Annie wished she could have a break and not feel this way.

She rubbed her face, smearing her eyeliner a bit. Oh well, she’ll fix that later. If she remembered. After a big stretch, she decided to take a swig of some cold water.

...The feeling was almost as good as taking a swig of The Liquid. But, nothing would beat that.

She sat down at her desk. Was she gonna draw, write a song, animate, play some games?

Who knew? She sure didn’t.

Her mind went to Garcello, who wasn’t home yet.

She was getting a bit impatient. He texted her earlier, so that was good. She just wanted a damn hug from him already.

After moments of figuring out what to do, she suddenly realized she had been spaced out.

Annie laughed at herself. Damn, maybe she needed to rest for tonight.

Well, maybe not…

"Focus, Annie..."

Wow. She kinda hated that sentence.

The girl was torn between so many options, she chose none. She decided to eat some food and get some more energy.

Yeah, that would help...
