He was in a weird place, it was bright with what you could just call a seemingly endless white road, there wasn’t anything in particular about the place that stood out, and without much sign of nature, if any at all, there wasn't really anything familiar, it felt... Off. Where was he?
He walked aimlessly, trying to make sense of whatever this place was until he started to hear some familiar voices in the distance, that was rather comforting, at least he knew he wasn't really alone.
As he got closer and closer, he noticed that red Puyo hat that no one could mistake, it was Amitie, she seemed to be talking alone.
"Oh? Hey Sig!" The blonde turned around, having a big smile on her face.
It was nice to see a friendly face around, especially if it was her. "Hi Ami."
"Nice to see you here! What are you up to!"
"Uh..." He looked around his surroundings, while replying: "Trying to figure out where are we."
Amitie giggled. "Yeah, makes sense! This is a bit of an odd place."
"I don't know how I got here."
"...Actually, I can't remember either." There was a bit of silence as both of them wondered about what exactly was happening, until an idea popped up in the girl's mind. "What about a Puyo battle?"
"Huh?"
"Yeah! Maybe that way time will go by faster~!" Her attitude going back to her usual happy go lucky, her eyes shining at the idea.
It was nice to see her smile, even though he struggles to express it, he's always enjoyed seeing her happy. Without saying a word, he nodded as the girl just shouted out...
"Puyo battle!"
. . .
Minutes went by quick, the two of them trying their best to win, by the end Amitie winning over him, which he didn't mind nor was surprised by, she had been practicing her magic a lot after class as of late.
"Did you see that?? I think I've never managed to make a chain that well!" Before Sig could even begin to open his mouth, she continued. "Isn't that cool? I'm sure next time I'll make one even better!"
He didn't really reply, but he was happy for her, maybe a small smile was on his face. But there was something that was bugging him, there was something off.
Wings. She had wings. Big feathered wings coming from her back, seemingly white with a soft hint of a pink hue, she looked almost like an angel. But...
Since when were those wings there?
Without stopping to doubt if he just hadn't noticed until, he just walked up close to her.
"Sig? What are you--- AH!?" Upon the boy's clawed hand making contact with the feathers in her back, those became ruffled coupled with a surprised expression caused by the sudden action. "Wh-When? Wings? Since when?"
His head turned away as he spoke with a confused tone. "Huh. I thought you knew."
"Ehhh!? I didn't know until now! I mean- Yeah I think I'd know if I had wings! Since when are these here---"
"I think they're pretty."
"Huh!? OH. The wings. Right!" It was shock after shock. "Phew, for a second I thought you said that--- Nevermind!"
The cyan haired boy was confused, what did she hear? "Amitie?"
"It's nothing! Really!"
"..." He just silently stared at the girl for a few oddly long seconds. "...Okay."
"Hmm... You know Sig? This has to be a dream, don't you think?"
"Why?"
"Well..." She rose up the wings in her back. "I don't think I recall having these!"
"True." Despite that, it certainly felt real, too real in fact. "But who's dream is it?"
"Hmmm..." She made eye contact with him, seeing his signature blue and red eyes, pretty as always. "Maybe... It's my dream?"
"Huh..."
"I mean, after all, Sig wouldn't say I'm pretty right??? That's a sill--"
"But I do think you're pretty." He quickly interrupted. Whether it was his dream or not, he wasn't going to stand for such a lie.
"WHA-" Her feathers instantly became ruffled up, her hat seemed to be in shock, and she was getting red as a red Puyo.
"Huh? Was that bad?"
She was still speechless for a few seconds, then shook her head and quickly spoke: "No no! Absolutely not! It's just, I wasn't expecting that!" Amitie took a deep breath and continued. "Phew. What a dream I'm having today huh."
"Seems like it." He slowly sat on the floor, and gestured to the girl to sit by his side.
Her face was still red as she sat beside the boy, trying to avoid eye contact by staring at his hand, hoping to hold hands one day.
"You know..."
"..."
"I could never tell the real Sig about this but, you know, I kinda like you?"
He stared at her, not saying a single word, listening to a confession he wasn't expecting.
"You know like, in the like-like sense! You're nice to be around, I enjoy listening to you talk about bugs..."
"..."
"...I think you're very pretty too! Your eyes specially! They're cool and also pretty!"
"..."
"I want you to know that I care about you, even though I'm clumsy, and not very good at things!"
"..."
"I don't know how to tell you all of this in reality, it's just, a tad hard you know?" She let out a sigh.
"..."
"I wish I can tell you all of this someday. It's hard sometimes to pretend I don't feel like this." There was a smile drawn in her face, and when she turned to see the boy, she noticed that his face was pink, very pink.
He never knew that she thought all that about him, was that really true?
"Maybe I said too much, oh gosh--"
Sig shyly reached out and held Amitie's hand, not saying anything, the two were blushing, and neither said a word for a bit of time.
"..."
"..."
"...I think you should tell me."
"I want to stay like this forever."
"Me too."
And suddenly, everything went white.
. . .
It was about 9 am, and a cyan haired boy woke up, he felt he had such a sweet dream. He stared at the ceiling remembering the events that had occurred on it.
'It certainly was a dream, huh.'
He reached out his hand towards the ceiling, inspecting his hand, it all felt so real.
Turning to see the window he stared at the clear blue sky, wondering if Amitie would really feel that way about him, or if it was just a dream showing him feelings he hadn't figured out too well towards her until now.
. . .
Somewhere else, a blonde girl woke up from her sleep, her face was red. What kind of dream did she have last night? So glad it was a dream, but also so sad it was a dream.
She grabbed a pillow and buried her face on it, as the thoughts of what she said stood in her mind.
At least she knew one thing, she was right that it was her dream.
What she didn't know was, it was not only hers.
