It was your normal afternoon on the Boiling Isles, the sky was a odd mix of red and blue, and odd birds squeaked instead of squawking.
But there was also a group of friends, 4 to be exact, that were having a sleep over at the time. Willow, Luz, Amity, and Gus sat in the Owl House chatting and laughing excitedly about their lifes and some of their goofy classmates. Well the witches were, the human, Luz Noceda, was guled to her horizontally turned phone tapping to and fro on the bright screen, that was chiming with pleasing music.
"So, have you seen Bosha lately, is she still bothering you?" Amity asked, with a slight edge in her tone.
"No, actually, well, yes I have seen her around campus! But she's stopped bothering me! At least not as intensely..she still does small things like plucking at the side of my head, but that's it really!" Gus replied, in relief and enthusiasm. He waited for Willow's response, half expecting she wasn't as lucky with the Bosha situation, but his attention was diverted when he heard a loud "KYAAOOO!" come from where Luz was sitting that make him jerk a little.
"Oop- sorry Gus! Didn't realize it was that loud..heh!" Luz apologized.
"Its fine!" Gus answered, "What are you doing anyways?"
"Playing Cookie Run: Kingdom!" Luz responded.
"Cookie Run..wha?" Gus asked before he inched over to where Luz was sitting and settling down beside her, leaning into her slightly to get a look at her phone.
"Cookie Run: Kingdom. It's a video game about cookies..in a kingdom! That's probably not a good description, maybe I should show you! Check it!" Luz responded, before showing Gus her phone screen.
"Oooo!" Gus said at the brightly colored screen glancing at the kingdom Luz had made and all the cookies she had collected.
"They're all so cute!"
"I know right! That ones Kumiho, that ones called Vampire, GingerBrave, Strawberry, Peppermint, Werewolf, Princess, that ones Pomegranate! I dont like her she's stinky." Luz said sticking her tongue out the screen in the direction of Pomegranate, earning a chuckle out of Gus.
Luz named a few more cookies she had in her kingdom, before zooming out her screen to show Gus her kingdom build, which Gus said that Mattholomule, a member of the Construction Coven, would be proud of.
But then she focused on the screen zooming in and out, seeming to be looking for something. Gus watched for a few moments glancing away to see a amused Willow and a small, spazzing, angry, King with a puffed up tail before turning back after hearing Luz say.
"FOUND YA!"
He flipped his head back toward the screen to find a new cookie dressed up like a pirate, he hadn't been shown before dangling lazily in the air before Luz let them fall.
"Gus, I'd like to formally introduce you to Sorbet Shark! My favorite cookie!..Besides Wizard that is, they kinda tie in rankings."
Gus's eyes lit up with joy.
"He's...so..ADORABLE!"
"They.", Luz corrected him kindly but also with a little sternest sense in her tone.
"They, They are so adorable!" Gus apologized.
"I know! Their so squishable and cute, I wish I could give em a big hug! Their a biiiig comforter for me." Luz said, with a slight hint of sadness as she said her last sentence for some reason.
"Hhhhmmm..." Gus, hummed mischievously.
"What ya thinking bout?" Luz asked him.
"I have an idea! Can I see your human scroll- I mean phone for a sec?"
"Sure!"
Luz curiously handed over her phone and watched Gus set it in his lap, staring at Sorbet who was watching a crab scurry by their feet, before turning to ask Luz a question.
"What do they sound like?, Sorbet, that is."
"Oh, lemme juuust" Luz said as she tapped on the shark cookie earning a "OooOOooOO!" Out of the cookie "Does that help?"
"Yep!" Gus responded before tapping a few more times and drawing a luminous circle of blue with his finger, causing a small whizz of blue light to launch onto the floor in front of him and Luz.
The fizz of light slowly grew as Gus circled his finger in the air, to just about the size of a, cookie! The light slowly formed in to the shape of a small humanlike being, causing Luz's eyes to sparkle in amusement and joy.
The shape shifted to a rosy light brown color, then sprouted sapphire blue hair, and clothes of a swashbuckling pirate, before flashing white floating a few inches into the sky and allowing a cheery shark pirate to drop to the floor.
"OOOOOO!!"
Luz gasped in denial and joy, clapping her hands as a stim of happiness, scooping up the cookie, thanking Gus, and rabbled off to the cookie and how much she loved them. Earning happy "OOOoooOoO!"'s in response While the proud illusionist sat to the side and admired his work.
