A bright flash of purple fury shocked the room as the mutated lawachurl got sliced in half like it was nothing.
The sound of thunder ringed through everyone's ears as the lawachurl fell to the ground with a loud thud. Then, after the initial loudness of the short fight, the room became silent.
Blood trickled down her face as her eye patch fell to the floor. She clutched her eye, and looked at the purple god in anger and fear.
The god simply untensed her body and took a single step.
"Don't you dare come near me."
Her eyes which already glowed in anger, only flared up even brighter in unbridled rage.
"You dare come into my land," she took another step, "dare to order me around like a tool," another one, "and dare to attempt to hurt my eternity,"
The kitsune's eyes widened in shock.
"And then expect me to not get angered?" Her eyes glowed even more fiercely than before as her short steps turned into long sharp strides as she closed in on the fatui.
"H-hurt me and your precious little Inazuma will be destroyed!" Signora shouted, taking a short step back. However none of her attempts even slowed the archon down.
Their eyes narrowed in glares before one finally snapped.
"The fatui will reign forevermore! All of Teyvat will kneel in our grasp! No matter what you do! We will win!" She yelled as she started to dash towards the archon, and raised her hand.
"FILTHY RATS! ALL OF YOU!!"
Schling
Her body fell to the floor in a heap as it began to disintegrate. blood slowly started to pool even as the golden ash flew away. And with one final graceful movement, the god retracted her sword into her bosom.
Then just as quickly as the room went silent, a resounding "Ouch!" From a certain pyrotechnic was heard before the sound of wind being blown and the sound of clothing sliding on the floor and in a flash of teal light the small tanuki clad ninja rolled her way into the pink kitsune's arms.
"Guji Yae!" She tearfully yelled, hugging the fox tightly.
Yae made a choking noise before attempting a response, "S-Sayu I know that you were scared b-but please, don't hug me so tightly I can't breathe."
Sayu slowly but surely loosened her grip on the priestess while sniffling, "I-I'm sorry I just... I just.." she couldn't finish her sentence before she started to sob again, but this time making her Muji-Muji Daruma to start healing Yae.
The kitsune sighed in relief and thanked the tanuki ninja to then look towards the goddess that was slowly slinking away.
Yas stood up.
"Where do you think your going?" She said as the archon was about to make the portal back to her plane of Euthymia.
There was silence before the goddess responded, "Back to my solitude."
A low growl reverberated around the room. "No you are not."
Eyes widened at that, no one has ever spoken to the Raiden Shogun in such a tone before, least without consequences, but even with the demanding tone the portal that the goddess had created slowly closed and she turned around.
"Here. Now." The kitsune pointed to the ground in front of her and narrowed her eyes at the purple god.
The god simply continued staring at the ground but did walk towards the fox.
With one final click of Ei's heels the room went back to a tense silence, bar the soft blowing of wind as Sayu continued to heal Yae of her injuries. Yae's body tensed and relaxed with unspoken words and feelings just waiting to be let free. Feelings of anger, feelings of sorrow, feelings of happiness, but most of all, the feeling of abandonment.
"Ei." She started, the only form of response she got was the smallest of flinches from the goddess infront of her. "Ei, look at me." A lump began to form in Yae's throat as Ei simply continued to look at the floor.
"It's been over five centuries." She took in a shaky breath, "Five centuries and yet you still can't find the guts to confront your mistakes." She was met by silence. The god continued to stare at the floor in shame, simply clenching and unclenching her hands as the only indicator that she was even paying attention.
Yae took in a deep breath before continuing. "Why now." She began, tears nearly flowing down her face. "Why now after five hundred years do you come?" The room held a tense silence, only broken by the short, sharp breaths Miko let out.
"Is this simply because the traveler came to drag you out?" She says, sharp enough to make the Archon flinch "Were you really about to stay in that.. that plane of yours even as I got crushed?" Her voice wavers remembering what had just happened, her clothing, hair, and fur still being stained red with her blood. "Had the traveler not gone to fetch you would you of never came? Would I of just... Died as you sat there for all of eternity?"
Anger had started to seep it's way into her voice and expression, the silence of the one infront of her breaking her calmness the longer the goddess stayed quiet.
She let out a breath and threw her arms up, "I could of died, Ei! And you would of done nothing!" She dropped her arms and abruptly took a step towards Ei, "You would of never even known if I had died would you? Or would that—that... Celestia forsaken Puppet of told you, three centuries later?!" She pointed her finger to Ei's sternum.
"Either way, I hope that you know that my blood would still be on your hands." All the while Ei has done nothing to respond to the kitsune, only just looking towards the floor and keeping quiet as Yae spoke.
After a good minute of silence the fox spoke again.
"And yet you still haven't found the guts to speak."
And with that, Yae Miko put down her hand and walked away.
