Years ago:
You stared in awe at the beautiful necklace that was delicately placed in your hands
“Happy Birthday (Y/N)!” Your mother chirped happily
It was your birthday, you were sitting in the living room with your mother
“Do you like it? The necklace?” She asked
You smiled and nodded “It’s beautiful!”
Her smile widened “I’m glad you like it, A very precious person gave it to me a long time ago, and now I’m giving it to you, So..”
She took the necklace from your hands and placed it around your neck “You are the most precious person to me.. and when you find the person you love the most, I want you to give the necklace to them” She said, smiling
“You mean…When I have children of my own?” You asked
She chuckled “Whoever you feel like you should give it to, the one you love the most”
You smiled and hugged your mother “Thank you, mommy. I love you”
She hugged you back “I love you too, sweetheart”
You heard your father walking down the stairs with your 3 year old sister (S/N) in his arms
“You two ready?” He asked
“Yes” Your mother answered and took (S/N) away from his arms
You were going to go celebrate your birthday at your grandmother’s house with the rest of your family. You all got in your father’s car after putting all your luggage in the trunk. You put on your seatbelt and stared out the window, admiring the blue sky and fluffy clouds behind the tall buildings of Detroit
You pulled your necklace from under your shirt and admired it, it was very beautiful and you were so happy your mother decided to give it to you. You tucked it under your clothes again and looked up only to see a large white truck out of control speeding towards your car.
You closed your eyes and braced for impact.
