“Ah, that was so buono!”
“Yeah, that new cafe was really good. Just wait for where I’m taking you next.”
“You sure you know where you’re going, Karin-Chan?” Emma questioned, knowing Karin’s below average sense of direction.
“Yes, I practiced this route many times so it would be nailed into my head. Don’t worry.” Karin said, feeling very confident.
“So, where are we going?”
“That’s a secret.”
“Awe, okay.”
Hand in hand, the 2 walked down the sidewalk, a beautiful sunset in front of them. Cool breezes swept by with the occasional sound of tires on the road. After many minutes of walking, Karin stops in her tracks, “Okay, close your eyes.” Emma does just that and begins to be lead away by Karin. A minute later, Karin stops again and stands to the side of Emma. “Ready? Open.”
Emma flutters her eyes open and sees that she’s standing in a field. There are flowers of all varieties and colors sprinkled about. Beautiful, bright green color painted the trees and grass. Emma’s mouth was wide open, staring at the view. It was the most beautiful field she had ever seen, maybe that was because her girlfriend was also standing in it. Emma lets go of her and Karin’s connected hand and bombards Karin with a tight hug. “Karin, this is so amazing, thank you!”
“Its nothing, really.” Karin turned her head within the embrace, her face pink.
“Its not nothing to me. You took me here because you know I love nature.” Emma lets go, quickly kisses Karin, and runs off into the field, spinning and laughing. “Come on, Karin!” Emma shouts, holding her hands out towards her.
Karin smiles and walks over to Emma, taking her hands. Emma starts spinning in a circle, making Karin doing the same. They stay spinning for a while, staring at nothing but each other. Suddenly, Karin slips, causing them both to come crashing down onto the grass, Emma landing on top of Karin. Karin lets out a small yelp from surprise. “I’m so sorry, Emma! Are-“, Karin was interrupted by the sound of laughter from Emma. Her laugh being infectious, Karin starts to laugh too. After a bit, Emma gets off of Karin and lays next to her, grabbing Karin’s hand tightly. They laid on the grass, staring up at the now darker sky. The sky had a few stars scattered across and the moon was staring to show.
“Thank you again Karin.”
“Anything for you, Emma.”
