Hello all my dearest friends and readers! I have returned with a brand new one-shot for you all. I hope you enjoy it!

War For Your Love

Warmth…

Happiness…

Enjoyment of life…

It all used to come so easily to him. But now it seemed like he had to fight for it. In his current age, Joey Drew lost hope every single day that it would come to him again.

Confined to a wheelchair, Joey could only go so far before he gave up. The cane became useless after the constant strain on his body could no longer hold him up.

Thankfully, the accident that confined Joey to the wheelchair happened around his most compassionate employee.

Miss Allison Pendle.

Joey had to admit that despite his age at the time, he did find her to be quite beautiful.

She was always polite to everybody at the studio, even to those who weren't very polite to her. If an employee was having a bad day (which was usually everyday unaware that he was the reason why) Allison would be there to lend a comforting hand if they needed it. She made friends easily and always followed the rules and protocol that had been set.

But as time went on, several of the male employees had also seemed to take an interest in her. He didn't blame them…with her beautiful voice and charm, it was basically impossible to not do so. To Joey's relief, she wasn't interested in either of them.

Well…except one and it wasn't him.

It was the lead GENT worker, Thomas Connor.

The man had always been known to not having a nice bone in his body and was always in a bad mood. Yet, somehow managed to win Allison's heart.

Joey had also taken note that Thomas had become very protective of Allison, which had also been noticed by the other employees as well.

Everybody saw a side of the GENT worker that they had never seen before.

Whenever Allison was alone, Joey would try to charm her away from Thomas, but no matter how hard he tried, she wouldn't fall for it. Allison wasn't like Susie Campbell at all…who he was able to charm away from the other employees (the main one being Sammy Lawrence) with little to no effort.

But after a time, Thomas had dropped by his office and bluntly told him that not only is he quitting but he is also taking Allison with him. So, at the end of the day, he lost two employees and never heard from them again.

That is until six years later when he had received an invitation to their wedding.

As Joey looked at the reservation card, several emotions came to him at once.

Jealousy (although he hated to admit it)

Envy (also hated to admit it)

He never wanted to be jealous of his employees (especially the GENT worker) yet the latter made it happen.

After a few moments, Joey picked up a pen and gave Thomas and Allison his answer.

Regretfully Declines

But after sending out his answer, all the emotions he felt vanished because he had something planned for the both of them.

And Thomas Connor would be the first one to see it.

Notes:

There have been hints that Joey may have had a crush on Allison based on what he wrote about her in his announcement, him declining the wedding, and how he described in the end of his memoir. Also, it seemed that she was the only employee that he was on good terms with as she was probably unaware of the Ink Machine experiments and the abuse he put on the employees.

I am thinking of writing a similar story to this only from Allison's point of view. Let me know if I should do it!

I also decided to try and write stories where Joey is more of the victim than the villain. But I guess this one went both ways a little bit.

I hope you enjoyed it!
