Chapter 1: "A Withering Lotus"

Chapter Text

It was a normal day in Japan for most people. But for a certain girl in her third year of junior high it was the eventful day that her life changed for the better.

A green, fluffy haired girl who seemed to be around the age of 15 was sitting on an infirmary bed in an infirmary room. She seemed to have a few scratches on her face, she also had a sprained arm. They sat there, twiddling her fingers in sheer nervousness. Her eyes were a lightish green and she had white vertical sharp pupils like a cat. She was also wearing a blue track suit that looked somewhat beat up with some burns and tears.

Suddenly an old woman came into the room with a pink skinned girl with pink hair in tow. The girl had black sclera and horns on her head. Her pink hair was fluffy and she had orangish irises.  “Tell me, how do you break five fingers trying to “dance fight” the robots with your quirk?” She rigorously said with a frown and a look of disappointment on her face. She threatened to hit her with her crane.

“Hehe, sorry. I thought it would look really cool, I really didn't expect my fingers to break. Nonetheless five of them... ” She held her arms up slightly in defense of the crazy woman with the crane. “Please don’t hurt me.”

The woman sighed as she turned around and noticed the green haired girl on the bed. She sighed. “Ok, what did you do?”

The greenette sprung up in surprise, not noticing them come in. She was too busy focusing on fiddling her fingers. “O-Oh, I um… I-I sprained my right arm fighting the robots…” She nervously said, holding her right shoulder with her left hand.

“Well, I’ll get you both fixed up.” She looked at the pink skinned girl who couldn’t stop staring at the girl on the infirmary bed. “And I want no more recklessness from you, you got that?” The woman said sternly in her voice one more.

The girl sprung up out of her imaginative world. She looked at the old lady. “Oh, um...sure Recovery Girl.” She said, going back to looking at the girl on the bed. The greenette noticed this and shrunk a bit. The pinkette’s gaze was fixated on her and the very nervous girl couldn’t tell if she was judging her or just observing her. The supposed ‘Recovery Girl’ went up and kissed the pink haired girl on the hand.

The originally broken fingers were now fully healed. The pinkette held her hand up and clenched it, noticing the original pain in her fingers went away. “There you go, sweetheart. Now, you’re next. She said, walking over to the green haired girl.” The rose-colored girl was about to leave the room, not needing to be in the room anymore. The woman swung around and threatened to hit her with the crane.

“I know you aren’t about to leave this room.” She rigorously once more, still holding the handicap in her hand. “The toll my quirk has on you can still tire you out by a large amount. I suggest you wait here before you go out again.” She put the crane on the ground again and made her way to the greenette.

The girl with black sclera sat on a wooden chair beside the infirmary bed as Recovery Girl healed the green haired one. “There you go, you poor thing. Now I think I might have some gummies for the two of you in my pockets.” The short woman said, digging in her pockets in an attempt to find some.

She pulled a lollipop out of her pocket and gave it to the green haired girl. “Here you go.” She said, placing the candy in her palm. “I ran out of gummies, you stay here and I’ll go get some more.” She said, facing the rosey haired girl. She nodded, responding to the short old lady with healing powers. The lady left the room and the two girls were left in the room together.

Alone.

With no one there to watch over them.

The nervous girl shrunk as she met gaze with the pink skinned one. Now that the girl was paying more attention to her, she noticed she had a white short hoodie that revealed her stomach and hips. The hoodie had the word “ACID” in bold, she wore black sweat pants and black and white sneakers. The two stared at each other, doing nothing more than just watching the other blink and staring into their memorizing eyes.

“So...Hiiii.” The pinkette dragged on her greeting toward the girl on the bed. The green irised girl rose her head a bit from shrinking.

“Um, H-Hi.” She softly spoke.

“I’m Mina Ashido, and you?” She questioned, tilting her head at the green haired girl.

“I-I’m Izumi Midoriya…”

The two stood in the awkward silence again as they patiently awaited for the return of Recovery Girl who was going to obtain more gummies for Mina. Midoriya was currently suffering from the tension of the current awkwardness in the room, it felt extremely uncomfortable and she did not like it at all. She had other things to feel uneasy about, such as whether she passed the entrance exam to get into her hero school or not, if her everlasting tormentor was waiting outside for her, what would she do if she failed.

Well the answer to that last question is easy.

Either just jump off a roof and call it quits, or spend a millennium in her room being a depressed lesbian thats a teenager for as long as she lives.

Normal…

Right.

She didn’t really want to talk much because she was extremely nervous and anxious. Besides, there is a pretty girl in the same room. She talked to girls before, but she had never really felt like this, but if she was honest. All the girls that talked to her or she talked to were small talk. Like “Did you do the homework?” or “What's the answer for 23?”. She never really had anyone to talk to as her tormentor scared them all away, making them think that if they got involved with Izumi in any way, shape or form, that he would come and beat the breaks off of them.

To be honest, he was capable of taking on the whole school if he so desired. He was just that strong and powerful.

The last time she talked to a girl for real was….

‘.... Never?’

She sighed as she came to a concluding realization of utter embarrassment.

The other girl hummed in response to her sighed. “So, what's eating at you, girl?” She questioned the greenette who jumped up. She didn’t really know how to respond to this.

“Um…” She questioned a hum. ‘Does she actually want to hold a conversation with me?’ She questioned herself, bringing herself back to the edge of the bed and stopped shrinking. She gasped a bit before answering the pink skinned girl’s previous question. “Do y-you want m-me to answer that...honestly?” She replied to the question with a question of her own, scratching the back of her head with a deep breath.

“Um, let's go with honesty first.” She spoke. “Then out of my own curiosity...tell me the lie you were thinking of telling me afterward.”

“O...kay?” Izumi dragged on. She blinked a few times and took another deep breath. “Alright, honestly...A l-lot of things are eating me at o-once right now if w-we are still g-going by that m-metaphor. B-But, I-I'm mostly worried about m-my results.” She said, rubbing her originally sprained arm timidly. She looked at Mina. Mina gazed back at her. Midoriya was looking at her with a look hoping for approval.

Ashido shrugged. “I don’t know if you did. For all I know I have at least a chance.” She smiled at the greenette. Izumi blushed seeing how wholesome that smile was. It took all her might not to clench her pounding heart. “But, I think you have a chance too. We all tried our hardest on the exam….I think?”

Izumi looked at her and Mina was facing her with a closed eye smile as she faintly scratched her chin. Izumi’s blush died down as she regained her composure. Izumi began to fidget her fingers anxiously again. ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Ask, Don’t Ask, Don’t Ask!’

“S-So, what's y-your quirk Ashido?” Izumi asked and she felt herself cringe on the inside. ‘Why did you ask!?’ She cringed to herself. Of course her quirk fanatic/obsessiveness would come in like this. She had no choice now but to go along with the conversation. Just as long as she doesn’t go on a question spree that will make her bored and such…

“Oh, My quirk? It's called Acid.” She replied to the greenette. Opening her eyes and placing her pink hands on her knees. She leaned back a bit. “I can secrete a um...what is the word?” She hummed as she put her finger on her chin.

“Wh-Which word? Acid?”

“No No, I know that word. But what is the word that you say that makes acid worse? Like...more acidic?” Mina asked and Izumi gasped.

“Oh! You mean Corrosive?” Mina nodded with a smile.

“Yea! That's it! I-”

“Wait, hold on.” Midoriya got off the bed as she went to her bag and pulled out a pencil and a notebook. Mina tilted her head as Izumi went over and sat back on the bed, opening the book to an empty page then looking at the pinkette. “Okay, go on…” She placed the pencil at the top of the page.

“Ok, I can make a highly corrosive acid from any part of my body. I can change how acidic it is. My body became naturally resistant to it after I got my quirk and it changed my hair and skin color, that's what the doctors said at least. The horns are still a mystery…” She dragged on and then she popped up with an ‘Oh!’. “Funny story actually, I didn’t have shoes on. I used my acid to slide on the floor. Swooooshhhh.” She said, making a sound effect at the end of her sentence. “That is how I actually broke my fingers…” Mina explained, Izumi wrote everything down in the process.

“How corrosive can your acid be exactly? Like what's the toughest thing it burned through?” She asked with a smile on her face, not even stuttering while doing so. Mina smiled at her feeling more at ease.

“I think burning clean through a robot is enough to say how corrosive my acid can get. Haha.” She said, scratching her chin again.

“How much can you secrete at once? Is it infinite?”

“Um...No? I think? I haven’t tried to see if I can produce an infinite amount…”

“Is it possible for you to control it after you already made some? Like changing its shape?”

“No, sadly not. But man it would have been really cool to make an acid dinosaur…” She complained. Then she pouted afterwards, sulking in the wooden chair as she did so. She crossed her arms.

“Well, maybe with some training you might be able to do that.” She said, trying to cheer up Ashido which seemed to work. “Can you shoot acid out at high speeds? Like throwing a ball?”

“I think so?” She said, Beginning to think a bit before giggling. The giggling turned into light, wholehearted laughter. Izumi tilted her head in curiosity, wondering why the girl was laughing.

“You know, for being a girl who stuttered a lot when first talking to me. You sure do have a lot of questions.” Izumi felt herself shrink again. She looked away from Mina and looked down at the floor with a sorrowing look on her face.

“...Sorry for bothering you.”

“Huh?” Mina looked at the girl with a raised brow. She was now seeing that Izumi was a little down. Did...she say something she shouldn’t have? “Hey, you didn’t bother me. I actually enjoyed that. Don’t sweat it, sweetie.” Mina said and Izumi looked at her with a light blush on her face. Mina noticed that Izumi looked like she was still feeling regretful and she sighed.

“How about as payback. I can ask you about your quirk then?” She said in a wholehearted tone. Izumi smiled a bit hearing this, Mina smiled back.

“W-well, sure. My quirk is ‘Nekopyro’. I-I can g-generate red fire cat ears on my h-head and two tails. They increase my mobility and flexibility, a-allowing me to run on all fours and have r-really good reflexes. M-My flames are s-strong enough t-to burn through the insides of a robot. My f-flames are fueled by the amount of oxygen in my body. I-I can also decide if I-I want my flames to set something on fire. O-Oh, and I have a really really high heat resistance.” She stuttered while explaining, scratching the top of her head as she did so. She noticed Mina didn’t say anything and Izumi felt a nervous shiver down her spine.

“Hot.”

“...What?”

“Huh? Oh nothing.” Mina said. “Your quirk sounds amazing, I have no doubt you made it into U.A, Midori.” She said with a smile. “So do you have nine lives or…”

Izumi lightly giggled a bit, Mina growing a light dust of lilac on her face. Her giggle was so wholesome and adorable . Not something she expected at all. Ashido could just kiss her right then and there for that giggle.

“No. Th-That would be cool though.” Izumi sighs, rubbing her arm with a wholehearted smile. It's been awhile since she smiled like that and it not being fake. “I can run on the side of a wall for a short amount of time though.”

“Awesome.” She said before speaking once more. To be honest, Izumi was also enjoying this a lot as well. She could talk to Ashido her whole life. Only if she could though, real shame. “So, what do you like to do in your free time?”

“Hm…” Izumi hummed, trying to disregard the fact that she basically gets tortured most of the time. She nervously huffed a bit to the fact it was the first thing that came to mind. “I like to study heroes and write down facts about their s-strengths and weaknesses and how they can improve. I-I also draw them…”

“That's really cool!” Mina said with stars in her eyes. “I bet you have a lot of stuff about a lot of quirks. Do…Do you mind if I look at your book?”

“Um…” Izumi held her book to her chest. She never really trusts anyone with her book. She was very self aware of them and she likes to keep them at arm's length. “Sorry, Ashido...”

Mina waved her hand. “It’s fine. Your books probably mean a lot to you. So I won’t poke you around about it. Don’t worry about it, Midori.” She smiled at her and Izumi looked at her with a light smile. She was expecting the black sclera girl to be somewhat disappointed, but Mina had proben her wrong again. “So, what’s your reason for being a hero?”

“W-Well, I-I want to be s-someone who can save a-anyone with a smile on my f-face to show th-them that when I-I am there, everything will be alright. B-Being a girl w-won’t stop me from doing th-that either. I-I...I am striving to be number one, and no one will stop me!” She spoke with encouragement, pumping a fist into the air. She had a nervous smile across her face and her eyes were closed. Mina was astounded by Izumi’s goal, she wanted to be number one? She is really something else huh…

Mina grew a light dust of lilac on her cheeks. Izumi opened her eyes and smiled. “And what about you Ashido?”

“O-Oh? Hm? Uh...Well. I want to be someone who can protect people from others that they can’t protect themselves from. Maybe change the mindsets of the bad guys and make them realize what they are doing is wrong. I want to make the world a better place for everyone to live in. That’s what I want, and I don’t care if I can’t be in the top ten pro heroes.” Mina smiled after she told the greenette her reason for her desire to be a hero. She hates it when people pick on other people, it just isn’t right.  She looked down at the ground. “All I want is peace and harmony really.”

Mina looked up at Izumi. “Hey, why are you crying?”

“H-Huh?” Izumi touched her left cheek and felt tears falling down. “I-...I guess I am crying…” She said as more tears fell down her cheeks. This made Mina a bit more nervous as she watched Izumi let tears fall down her face. “H-Huh? Th-They aren’t stopping...why won’t they stop?”

Mina stood up and walked over to the girl who had tears falling from her face and wiped those tears away. Izumi blushed at this. “There ya go. My bad, wasn’t trying to sound emotional at all. Nonetheless, make you cry.” She said as she wiped the last tear from Izumi’s face. She moved her hand away and Izumi’s face was exploding with a deep crimson, you can call her a literal tomato at this point.

“Haha, bruh you lookin’ like a tomato.” Called it.

Izumi giggled a bit as she called down. “Thanks, Ashido.”

Mina glanced to the side a bit, biting the inside of her lip. She had a brittle look on her face. “Hey, can I borrow your phone really quickly?”

“Hm? Oh! Sure.” Midoriya said as she unlocked the phone then gave it to Mina afterward. Ashido looked like she was doing something, then she began typing something else. Izumi tilted her head in question. Mina then pulled out her own phone and smiled, putting it back in her pocket.

“Here you go.” She said as she gave the phone back to the green haired girl. Izumi looked at her phone and she looked speechless.

“...Y-Your number?”

“Yep!” She said, making her hand the form on a phone by sticking out her thumb and pinky fingers. “Call me or text me anytime. Maybe we can hang out sometime if you want.” Mina said, sticking her tongue out. Izumi very faintly blushed as she looked down on the phone and looked a bit confused.

“...”Penguin Princess”?” Izumi confusly said, reading what Mina put as her nickname on Izumi’s phone. Mina put her index finger on Izumi’s mouth.

“Shhhhhhhh.” Mina hushed Midoriya. “Now, we should get going Midori. I’m guessing she got lost… or probably forgot about us.” Ashido scratched her cheek. “All well, my mom will probably get worried.”

Izumi got up as well and the two exited U.A high. “Alright...Wanna go on...Oh crap.” Mina said in realization. “Shit. I was going to say that we should ride the bus together, buuuuut…” She dragged on. “I left my bag. I’ll be back in a flash, Midori.”

Izumi saw as Mina bolted into the school in search of the bag she brought with her. Izumi would love to ride the bus with her, giving her more time to talk to the girl. But Izumi couldn’t shake the feeling of butterflies fluttering in her stomach when she thought of the pink skinned girl.

“Oi Deku...I got a few damn words for you. You Flaming Piece Of Shit.” Izumi jolted hearing that nickname and that voice. Her breathing became trembly and her body quivered. She turned around to see an ash-blonde boy who stood about a whopping 6 inches taller than her.

“O-Oh, h-hi Kacchan. Wh-Wh-What a-are you d-doing here a-at th-this hour.” She stuttered extremely. She was incredibly nervous, it was her tormentor after all. Tormentor of eleven years to be exact. Just non stop torturing. Eleven years.

“Don’t fucking “Oh hey Kacchan” me you stupid bitch! I told you not to apply to U.A highschool and I told you even after that not to take the stupid fucking exam. Now I’m going to beat your ass for ignoring me, You Little Stupid Bitch!” ‘Kacchan’ said.

‘..Crap…’

.

.

.

“Huh...where did Midori go?” Mina said as she was now outside of U.A again with her bag at hand. She sighed. She probably went home before she could get in trouble for being late. Can’t blame her though, it was getting really late. Mina has her number now so she could ask to hang out whenever.

“All well.”

Mina began walking down the hill from the hero school she and Izumi took the entrance exam at. She was confused about these feelings she had every time she saw Izumi being enthusiastic. She wondered if this was what love really felt like. She was a sucker for playing cupid in other people’s lives, but she never actually experienced what love actually felt like.

Playing cupid and spilling tea were two of her favorite things to do in her life. They are what make up part of her personality. Also helps that her mom was the same as well. But she never depicted herself as a lesbian though, but she probably was as well, maybe even bisexual. She never experienced what love actually felt like before, so maybe she was not as straight as she thought she was.

She spittook at that. “Man, that should’ve been the first thing I said to her. I want to see her reaction to that. Maybe I can try to say it to her when we decide to hang out.” She said as she thought for a bit. “Maybe not right away-”

“I told you not to fucking apply!” An explosion was heard and it had Mina alarmed.

“A villain?!” She semi shouted, looking around a bit before another explosion came around. But she didn’t see it. “Where could it be?” She said as she looked around. She was in the city part of Musutafu, she had gotten off the hill a little while ago.

She turned the corner and heard another explosion, but it was a bit louder this time and she heard a yelp of pain. She then heard fists hitting skin and small yelps of pain were heard after each impact.

Mina looked down an alleyway and a look of shock and disgust covered her face. She saw some Ash Blonde Bastard beating Izumi without holding back.

“I warned you, didn’t I?!” He shouted, punching her again.

“B-But, K-Kacchan-!” He unleashed another explosion to her face.

“Shut the fuck up!”

‘Kacchan? Wait, does she actually see him….as a friend?! Oh fuck no!’ Mina thought, her face showing her absolute disgust and hatred. Her blood began to boil at a hundred degrees. Now she understood why Izumi was crying uncontrollably, it was because of this worthless bastard. “Hey!” She shouted, getting the ash blonde’s attention focused on her. A small whimper came from Izumi. “Who the fuck are you?! And what in the nine rings of hell do you think you are doing?!” She said, walking deeper into the alley, stopping only a few feet away from them.

“A-Ashido…”

“Who the fuck do you think are talking to, Raccon Eyes?!” He said, his focus completely on the pink skinned girl. “You wanna fucking die?!” He threatened, sparks flying off the palms of his hands.

Mina’s frown grew on face. “You don’t have the balls, pussy.

“The fuck you call me?!” He charged at her preparing an explosion. A blur appeared in front of Mina as the explosion connected.

“Eh…?” ‘Kacchan’ said, flabbergasted on seeing this. Mina had her eyes closed when she saw the blur but she slowly opened them to see Izumi using herself as a human shield. Her back facing the attacker.

“Midoriya, what the fuck…” Mina said in shock, seeing Izumi burnt and beaten up. How many explosions did she have to sit through? Was this a usual daily thing? She had fire resistance...a high one at that. Was that bastard abusing that fact?! Using her resistance against her to beat her to a pulp without actually killing her?!

Izumi’s tormentor scoffed. “Whatfucking ever. Watch your ass at U.A, bitch.” He walked off.

Mina didn’t bother snarking back at him as the greenette collapsed into her arms. “Midori, what in the living fuck were you thinking….I’m calling 919. I’m not letting hi-”

“Please...Don’t tell on him. It’s not...it’s not fair to him.” She breathed as if she was barely grasping on her life. Mina slowly slid onto the ground and Izumi did as well due to the fact the pinkette was holding her.

“...What the- Why wouldn’t I? Midoriya, Imma be very honest. But you sound very fucking stupid right now.” Mina replied, not approving of just letting this slide completely.

“He’s better th-than this...please…don’t do it…”

Mina looked at her with a concerning look as her frown completely died out. She scoffed and closed her eyes. “Ugh...fine!” She dialed the three numbers she needed to call.

“Hello?”

.

.

.

Mina watched as Izumi walked out of the hospital room she was in. Mina was a bit startled that she got out so quickly, the heat resistance she had must’ve been insane. Then she noticed the bandages wrapped around the girl’s forehead followed by the white eyepatch she had on. Under that eyepatch was a layer of gauzes.

Looks like Rikka’s eyepatch.

Wait, an eyepatch?!

Why the fuck-?!

Wait...where’s her mom?

Izumi held up her phone. “It died…” She wasn’t necessarily happy. She didn’t really feel that great either despite her heat resistance. Mina looked at the girl, not knowing whether she should smile or pity her. “Y-You...didn’t tell th-them what h-happened, right?”

Mina sighed in self-disappointment. “...No. Even though I should’ve.” She gritted her teeth. “Shit like that isn’t okay…Like, what the hell are you going to tell your mother?”

“U-Um...I got really hurt in the entrance exam?”

“...That would be lying.”

“I-I….I know. It’s just th-that I don’t want her g-getting worried.” Izumi looked down in sorrow and shame. Mina did not enjoy seeing this, not one bit, I mean. Is lying to make sure someone’s emotional state is good, a good thing?

“Alright...but. Midori, I need you to answer me this…” She dragged on, catching Izumi’s attention. “Do...you need me to walk you home everyday after school? There is still a month left of school, I don’t want him on your case anymore. Okay?” Mina offered, Midoriya was flabbergasted to say the least.

Izumi nodded in response to her offer, holding her arms out asking for a hug. Mina stood up and hugged the girl. “Please…” She whimpered. Izumi couldn’t lie, she felt...safe in Mina’s arms. She didn’t know how else to describe it really other than that.

“Shhhh…” Ashido patted the girl at the back of her head before coursing her fingers through the girl's hair. “Let’s just enjoy the moment.” She said, she still felt a hint of disappointment in her heart. It was the fact that she probably will never be able to stare at both of Izumi’s beautiful, cat-like, light emerald eyes anymore. Just the one. But as long as she is well and safe. That's all that really matters.

Mina broke from the hug. She patted both of Izumi’s hands.

“Now, how about we get to the train station.”

Chapter 2: "Pinky"

Chapter Text

It was the day after Izumi had taken the entrance exam for U.A high, her dream hero high school. It was also the day after she had met Mina Ashido, the girl who she believes would change her entire future just as much as her going to U.A. And it was also the day after, she lost the usage of one of her eyes.

It was almost the end of the school day for her. It was the last five minutes of her last period. She sighed as she placed two fingers over her eyepatch. It hurt when she put too much pressure on it, but it barely stings right now as she lightly pressed her middle and index fingers on it.

She heard some rumors talking about how it was most likely Bakugo that did it to her, but her testimony saying that she got the injury from the entrance exam has them unable to snitch on the ash-blonde. She doubts they would anyway, they would be too scared to actually do anything to him considering what he does to Izumi everyday when classes concede for the day.

For some reason, Izumi really wanted school to be over. She usually dreaded it, after all, the beast with the explosive hands was always waiting outside to tear her a new one. But now...Mina is the one that's going to be seeing her outside of school, and Izumi could not imagine anyone else walking her home from school as a protector and a friend.

With her one eye, the greenette looked to see Bakugo, patiently tapping his fingers on his desk, probably also waiting for school to be over as well. He expects to be beating up Izumi again. He always does. It was a routine after all. Even if she lost the ability to use one of her eyes.

But she really thinks he can change. It wouldn’t be hard really. At least she thinks it won't be hard. She hasn’t really thought of a way to make him change his ways, but she knows its definitely possible. She just has to figure out how she is going to do that. Maybe Mina can help? Probably...hopefully.

Well, right now, she just wants to bell to ring. She just, wants to spend the time she has for the rest of the day with her. Ashido was the first person who directly held and conversation with her and defended her when Bakugo was beating Izumi up. Hell, she called him a pussy to his face! Like, Mina must have some balls of steel if she did that to the person who was brutally bashing a lesson into Izumi’s skull.

Izumi Midoriya did have a pyrokinetic quirk much like ‘Kacchan’, but she didn’t want to use it against him despite him using her quirk inorder to repeatedly use explosions on her. She knows that Katsuki is just doing anything he can to make sure he gets the number one hero spot, he is just trying to shoot her down so she couldn’t get back up and try being a hero again. Well, at least she thinks that's the case. She just hopes that he might stop after they get into U.A high.

That's if she passed the exam that is. She probably didn’t, but Mina said she believes in the fact that she probably did. If Mina did really believe that, then Izumi has to try and believe that she did too.

That way, she could spend the days of training to be a hero along with her. That’s if something doesn’t happen to the two that will separate them during that time period. She hopes that won’t happen. It can’t happen. She would never forgive herself.

The bell for school to be over rang and everyone in her class rose up from their seats. They began to walk out of the classroom. Bakugo looked at Izumi with a raised brow, she usually was the last one to walk out of school. She began to speed walk out of class quietly, she wanted to try and avoid Bakugou. She tried this before, but Katsuki had always found a way to get ahead of her.

She made it outside of school, walking down the gate to the exit. She glanced back with her one eye, she saw him looking at her with a scowl on her face. She looked back in front of her and she exited the Aldrea campus.

She looked around, but didn’t see her anywhere. But, she said she would be here before she got out of school since she gets out earlier than her. But she was nowhere to be seen. She then felt two pokes on her cheek and she swung around and saw Mina there behind her.

“Sup, Midori.” Izumi sighed in relief. She really thought she had left her to deal with this all by herself, but now, she was realizing how stupid that was. Ashido was not the person to leave someone alone like this. Ashido was a really good person, on the outside and on the inside, she could tell.

“Hi, Ashido.” Izumi said with a light hearted smile. Mina stared at Izumi’s eye and she stared back. It was hard not to stare into each other’s eyes for some reason, and it was equally as hard to break the stare.

“What in the fuck are you doing here, Raccon Eyes?” The ‘staring contest’ was interrupted by an all familiar voice. Mina sighed in sheer disgust, knowing who the angry voice belonged to. She turned around with a scowl on her face, of course, why wouldn’t be him.

Katsuki was now in front of the two. Izumi shrunk behind Mina in fear. She did it on instinct. Mina grew a light dust of lilac, feeling that Izumi had trusted to protect her, due to the face she felt her nervous breathing on her neck. “I’m here to walk her home, piss off. Pussy.”

“Oh no the fuck you do- Gawk?!” And in that moment, when Katsuki went to approach and get into her face to intimidate her to leave, Mina kicked him in the dick. Hard.

Izumi hissed in her mind, she could feel the force of the nut shot Mina gave him. But she could only think one thing at that time. ‘...that...was hot.’ Izumi rose up from shrinking behind Mina and everyone had seen Bakugo get his ballsacks absolutely destroyed in one blow. And the fact that he was now on his knees, forehead on the ground, and hands over his crotch, just made it all the worse for him.

Katsuki groaned in pain as Mina spat next to him as another way of saying, “Eat shit.” She looked at the greenette who she had protected. She smiled seeing that she was timidly surprised. She smiled at her. “Alright, let's go. Midori” She said as she took Izumi’s hand and they walked off.

As they began to walk towards the train, Izumi had the sudden urge to squeeze Mina’s hand, which caught the pinkette’s attention. She raised a brow at her for the sudden action that took place. “What’s up?”

“...I...Didn’t expect th-that.” She softly spoke to Ashido. Internally, she was scared that Katsuki was on her shit list now, that he was going to attack Mina instead of Izumi. She didn’t want that, she doesn’t want to see Mina get hurt like that. But, does Mina feel the same about that? Maybe...that's why she kicked Bakugou in the forsaken realms of the nether? No, it couldn’t be, Izumi is just Mina’s friend. I mean, it is Mina’s dream to create peace in the world, so maybe she was just sticking true to her dream?

Mina smiled. “Eh, don’t worry about it. Asshole need to be put in his place.” She then had a small jolt of realization. “I really need to stop swearing. I realized that since I swore yesterday, I kept doing it.” She said, while giggling and scratching the back of her head. “My bad, an old habit of mine.”

Izumi shook her head. “N-No, it's fine. You don’t have t-to apologize to me.” She said, looking at Mina with a smile that probably would have sent Mina to heaven. Ashido took a deep breath.

“Well, I don’t want to hear you swearing.”

“Wh-Wha-?”

“I want you to stay as a cinnamon roll.”

“...”

Mina booped Izumi’s nose. “You stay pure, white as snow.” She said, lightly sticking her tongue out at Izumi who merely giggled. If Mina was honest, there was a small feeling in her gut that made her want Izumi to be her cinnamon roll. A cinnamon roll that could be the first thing she sees when she awoke in bed every morning.

“So, wh-what hobbies d-do you do, Ashido?”

“Think about you.”

“...You said what?”

“What?”

“....”

“....What was the question?”

“I-...” Izumi assumed that she was definitely hearing things a few seconds ago. So she repeated herself. “Hobbies.”

“Oh! I like dancing and drawing. I call it DAD.” She joked and Izumi put on a fake smile, she got the joke, but it stung her a bit. Her dad was abroad at sea when Izumi was born, she never got to meet him, hell, he never sent her any letters at all.

Mina wasn’t fooled by the fake smile and mentally kicked herself in the face. She hissed a bit and gritted her teeth. Yea, she said something wrong. “Ooooh, you….you don’t have a good relationship...with your dad.” She put a hand on her face as she looked down. “I...I am so sorry.”

Izumi squeezed her hand. “I-Its fine, I...I got used to K-Kacchan making f-fun of m-me for it anyways.” Ashido looked at her with a face of shock and disgust.

“He fucking what?”

“...” She looked at her, not wanting to say anymore. “...Weren’t you not s-supposed to swear.”

“...Shoot. Ok, good point. But don’t try changing the subject.” She sighed. Knowing that this ‘Kacchan’ guy does this to her daily was really getting on her nerves and made her blood boil to astronomical levels. She hated bullies with a passion, but she always seemed to be able to change their ways. But this guy, there was no changing him. He was born an irritating dickhead.

She looked at Izumi who seemed like she was a bit nervous. She was probably not ready to outwardly talk about all her problems. Hell, she is still in the dark about her father. They have only known each other for a good two whole days, she shouldn’t press her with questions. Mina never really had outstanding grades in class. Little bit of Bs, mostly Cs and the rest Ds. Mostly because she doesn’t really study.

She isn’t stupid, she just needs to study more, and pay attention in class. She knows that she shouldn’t press Izumi. ‘Inch by Inch, Pinky. Step by Step.’ She sighed. “Sorry about that. Don’t worry about having to talk about it.” She saw Izumi look at her and Mina had a smile on her face. “Now, you need to pick up some hobbies, anything in mind?”

“...D-Does watching shounen count?” Midoriya asked and Mina looked dumbstruck.

“Wait, you watch freaking shounen?!” Mina barely shouted in excitement. She had the biggest smile on her face. “I love shounen and romance!”

“S-Same, have you watched Demon Slayer?” Izumi said with a smile, looking like she felt outstandingly better from the previous topic. Mina smiled and nodded. Stupid and Rookie question from Izumi’s part. I mean, who hasn’t watched Demon Slayer. “Naruto?”

“Of course!”

“I hate Sakura.”

“I can see why.” Mina giggled. “Black Clover?”

“Astaaaaaaaa.”

“Yessir.”

“You know…” Izumi trailed off. “B-Black Clover was actually the reason I never gave up being a hero…” Izumi said and Mina was all ears. “A few years ago, I thought if I just quit...If I told K-Kacchan that I quit being a hero, then he would s-stop bullying me. But, th-then someone gave me the first v-volume for the Black Clover manga in secret when I secretly gave them the answers to their homework.” Izumi explained taking a deep breath. “I-I didn’t really expect the gesture but I read it...and it lit a spark in m-me again. I-I...I know, it sounds stupid.”

“No, it doesn’t.” Ashido rebutted. “Manga or Anime, especially shounen, can be inspirational for a lot of people. I heard even people in America love watching or reading shounen.” Mina smiled as they were approaching the train station. “To be honest, a lot of things can have a positive effect on people. That ‘Kacchan’ guy could have been that, but he is an a-.” Mina stopped herself for a small moment. Biting the inside of her lip. “-a bad person.”

Izumi giggled a bit, knowing that Mina had intended on swearing but caught herself. “N-Nice save.”

“Thanks.” Mina pouted as they reached the train station and conventiantly, the train was already there. Sheer luck I’d wager.

They got onto the train and they sat next to each other, not saying a word, just, enjoying the silence as the train doors closed and it began to move down the rail. Their stop wasn’t too far from where they were but Mina had to take the train regardless due to the fact that she came from a different part of Shizuoka. Thankfully, they were neighboring cities in the prefecture and Izumi lives at the edge of it, so it took Mina usually less than forty minutes to get there.

The train moved along and the two were still silent. Izumi had moved her hand around and subconsciously held Mina's hand. The black sclera looked at Izumi’s hand that was over her’s. Her heart skipped a beat. Why? She had no idea. She had thought that she was gay yesterday, but as a joke. Because again, Mina had never really felt love before, she only played matchmaker. So she doesn’t really know if this is how she is supposed to feel when she is in love.

The train in the real world moved along as Mina kept the train in her mind moving along as well. Eventually, she felt Izumi squeeze her hand. Her mental train came to a halt and she looked at the greenette.“...W-We’re here.”

The two got up, still holding hands. They exited the train and Izumi started walking them to her place. But she also noticed that Ashido seemed a bit off. “H-Hey, are you okay. Ashido?”

“Hm? Oh, I’m fine.” Mina replied, booping Izumi’s nose. “Though, I do have a question.”

“O-Ok?”

“You...want to hang out saturday?” Mina questioned, hoping the green haired girl would agree to her request. She scratched the back of her head as she thought.

“Sure. Wh-Why not.”

“Yay!” Mina jumped up in joy. Izumi smiled, she adored Mina’s personality. She is always so happy and energetic, and seeing her happy makes her happy. “So, Saturday at….?” She dragged the question with anticipation.

“...One o’ Clock?”

“Deal!” She jumped in joy again.

They reached Izumi’s apartment building and before the greenette left, she waved her friend goodbye. Mina did the same as she went to a different train station that took her home.

.

.

Mina walked into her room and threw herself face first on the bed. It was the first thing she did when she took her shoes off. But this behavior wasn’t really Mina like. She was usually the one to alert everyone she was home, but right now, she was conflicting herself with her sexuality.

She sat up on her bed, putting herself in the fetal position as she stared out the window. She heard her door open and her mother, Rika Ashido, walked in. A bird flew over her mother’s head and flew to Mina who held her arm out. The bird perched on her arm. It was Mina’s pet Amur Falcon, Azul. She had always wanted one as a kid and three years ago she finally got one.

“So, wanna tell me why the sudden change from your everyday attitude?” Her mother asked, raising a brow. She knew her daughter all too well and Mina knew that. The pinkette sighed as she petted her bird.

“...I…” She started. “I think I’m gay.”

“...” Rika blinked at her and Mina blinked back at her. Both staring at each other for a short amount of time. “What a way to start a conversation huh. What makes you think, you’re not straight?”

“That’s the thing. I don’t know.” Mina replied, throwing Azul up and letting him fly around the house. She looked back at her mother as she sat at the edge of the bed. “Remember why I was really late yesterday.”

“Ooooooh, is it about the girl that you started walking home because she got bullied?”

“Yea.”

“Did you kick the guy in the underworld?”

Mina chuckled and smiled a bit. “Heh, yea.”

Rika said beside her daughter. “So, what makes you think that you are gay for this girl? Izumi Midoriya, was it?”

“Yea, and I’m going to be completely honest with you mom. I...never really experienced what love feels like.” She explained and her mother looked at her somewhat surprised but understanding.

“Oooooooh, so you like. Really need my help.”

“Yea…”

“Well, tell me what you feel.” She placed a hand on Mina’s shoulder to reassure her. “I would never judge you for your sexuality, Mina. But if you really feel like you are gay for this girl, I would feel appericiate it if I knew.” She explained, telling her daughter she supports her all the way for the path that she chooses. Even though she can’t expect any biological grand kiddies, her daughter’s happiness is what matters most.

“...Thanks, Mum.”

“Anytime, now…”

“Right...The thing is...I want to see her more often than doing anything else. She is nice and pretty. Her smile… Oh god her smile... I feel like I'm going to die by next year out of adorableness. But-”

“And that concludes it.”

“Wha- but I did-”

“You are not as straight as you thought you were.”

“I- how in the f-”

“Language.”

“-reak, did you-.”

“It was obvious. You want to see her more often and you said her smile was going to kill you from adorableness. Then, right after that you said “But” meaning there was a third factor. Three strikes out, you are now identified as not straight. And being that Midoriya is the first person that you have caught feelings for…”

“...” Mina paused for a moment. Her mother is way better at this than she was. Mina giggled a bit. “I’m gay.”

“Yep or bi...or pan.” She trailed off. “But, my advice. Take it slow. You don’t even know her sexuality yet.” Mina nodded at her mother. She hugged her and Rika hugged back.

“Thanks, Mom.”

“Anytime. Dinner will be ready in a few. I’ll call you when it is.” She got off the bed and walked out of the pinkette’s room. Mina could only smile. She knew it was only a matter of time before her mother got involved with this, but she wasn’t necessarily complaining.

‘Saturday it is then.’

Chapter 3: “Floofy Buddies”

Chapter Text

“So, when were you planning on telling me that you were going out?”

Rika was looking at her daughter who had a short denim jacket with a shirt that only reached just above her belly button. She had no pants, just her panties on, but she was in the process of putting on some none droopy sweatpants. The adult looked at the daughter with crossed arms. “So?”

“Um….” Mina looked at her mother, unsure what to say. She had completely forgotten that her mother was not aware of her plans with Izumi. There was a reason that the “Ka” in her name means fire, she is as scary as fire when she is not pleased. “Haha, funny story actually…”

“Go on.” Mina gulped.

“Well, we actually had this planned on monday when I walked Midoriya home from school…” She said as she finished pulling up her pants and tightening them. “And well….I forgot to tell you.”

“Hm...ok?”

“So….?”

“...” Rike looked at her with a raised brow. Mina blinked a few times and then she sighed.

“.... sorry .” Her mother smiled.

“Alright, just make sure you aren’t late. And if you want, invite her over. I’d like to meet her.” Rika said with a whole hearted smile, allowing Mina to bring her ‘crush’ over. Mina was a bit nervous about that, because she is going to tease her and embarrass her relentlessly. “By the way, you don’t get to say no.”

“Fine….” Mina sulked as she grabbed her phone and other belongings.

“Great, I’ll be gone for a while after you leave but I should be back by four or five.”

“Ok, Ok.” She grabbed some socks from her drawer and put them on as her mother left the room. She looked at herself in the mirror and winked before rushing downstairs.

She made it down stairs and Azul cawed at her. Mina petted him for a bit before running over to the door and putting her shoes on with a big smile on her face. She was hanging out with Izumi today, so of course she was happy. She looked down on her phone and unlocked it as she opened the door. “Be back soon!” She shut the door behind her.

She began to message Izumi.

Penguin Princess - “Hey, Midori! I’m omw to pick ya up!”

Fountain O’ Hope- “O-Oh! Ok! I’ll be at my place.

Mina smirked seeing the text.

Penguin Princess- “There you go stuttering on text again.”

Fountain O’ Hope- “...”

Mina giggled at this as she put her phone in her pocket as she continued to walk to the train station. She smiled knowing she was going to have a great time. Though, she hopes Izumi will also have a fun time.

When she got on the train, she waited patiently for the train to arrive at the stop where she had to pick up Izumi to go out. Though, there was one thing she had hoped for from Izumi.

…Mina had no idea where to go after picking her up from her place. She honestly never thought to bring that question up to her while she walks her home. Well, she did want to bring up the question, but always forgets.

She sighed as she had remembered that she forgot to bring up said question earlier, all well. She just hopes that Izumi knows where to go.

She hit up Izumi on the phone when she had made it to her place. When Izumi had come out of her apartment, Mina felt her heart sink as she blushed. Izumi wore a light blue hoodie with the zipper open, she wore a black shirt with a white heart on it. She wore a dark blue skirt with brownish shoes and black thigh highs.

Mina gasped a bit, not loud enough for Izumi to hear. Izumi was already cute, but this made her so much cuter and a hundred times hotter than her usual school uniform.

…Ok maybe that's a lie, but holy shit those thigh highs.

“H-Hey, um….Ashido?” Mina came to her senses after hearing her name. Izumi seemed a bit worried despite her having a single eye. “Y-You okay, you were staring at me for a while…”

Mina closed her eyes with a single sweat drop and a smile, her blush slightly died down but it was still present. “Don’t worry about it, I only spaced out for a bit.” She spoke. “So, shall we go?” Izumi nodded as they began to walk together.

As they walked together, Mina felt Izumi once again search for her hand subconsciously due to their knuckles grazing. Izumi eventually grabbed hold of her hand and they interlocked their fingers. The pinkette glanced at her and still no sign of embarrassment. Ashido knew Midoriya to be the very shy, introverted and half of the time embarrassed girl so she knew she did it without thinking.

After a while Izumi spoke. “H-Hey…” She began. “Do you know where we are going?”

Well shoot.

“Well um…funny story actually…”

“You don’t know.”

“….Nope.”

“Well….I have a suggestion.” She stated. “Wh-Why not go to the Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo?” She suggested with a smile. She then squeezed Mina’s hand slightly. “We get to see a bunch of animals, it might be a small zoo but it will be worth the cost.”

Mina jumped up. “Yea! Let’s go!” Izumi blushed a bit seeing Mina as her usual self. She didn’t know why, but she just wanted to spend the rest of her life with Mina. When Mina looked at Izumi, she was staring at her.

Mina rose a brow. “Hey, Midori…You okay?”

“…You’re gorgeous.”

Mina lit up, wide-eyed. Izumi said it so smoothly and effortlessly. It was as if it was the only thing on her mind at the time.“H-Huh?”

“What?” Midoriya questioned, clearly not knowing what she had said out loud to her. She was confused and Mina was basically exploding. How….did she…? No, what was she going to tell her now?

Mina took a deep breath to calm her heart down. “Forget it.” She spoke up, still blushing. She really wanted to take that as if she found her attractive, but there was also a chance that she was saying it to be complimenting. She didn’t want to take that risk.

“O-Ok.”

.

.

.

Izumi and Mina had made it to the Zoo and were actually having a bit of fun. Mina had left Izumi at the lion enclosure and the greenette admired the lions as she awaited her friend's return.

The more she thought about her, the more she began to realize how starved she is of kindness from a source outside of her mother. She feels like Inko has been the only person who was ever kind to her before Mina came around the corner. This was mostly because everyone was scared of Bakugo and never wanted to talk to Izumi unless she was helping them with homework, which they always give her something in return so it looks like it was just trading, but Bakugo wasn’t the only person who took it that way.

Now that Mina is in her life, she doesn’t want her to disappear or leave her behind. Yet, she feels like more than that to Izumi in some type of way.

“Yo.”

Izumi turned around to see Mina wearing tiger sunglasses and a lion cap. She was sipping a straw from a cup that was decorated with plastic alligator scales. “FBI, hands up.” She joked and Izumi giggled.

“Oh no, what will I do?”

“Going to see the seals, I lied about the FBI part.” Izumi giggled with a light blush again. She held the cup to Izumi. “Want a sip? It’s doctor pepper.”

“U-Ummm…but-.” Izumi thought for a minute while blushing heavily. “Um…sure.” Izumi took a quick sip from Mina’s cup as they both blushed.

“So um…seals?” Ashido asked and Izumi quickly nodded, still blushing.

.

.

.

The two girls had a lot of fun at the zoo. They petted seals, they chilled as they watched the red pandas doing their own thing, they went down a roller slide that was on top of a small mountain, and they did a couple other things.

But now, they are starving…

“Man…I’m so hungry…I could kill for some food…” Mina complained, Izumi was equally hungry. They were both on a train on their way back to Musutafu.

“Well…I know a pizza spot.”

Mina looked at the greenette with all seriousness. “Can I kiss you?”

Izumi flushed up immediately. “Wh-What?!” She didn’t fully register what Mina just said, but Ashido did.

“I said “can you take me?”!”  Mina corrected herself immediately, her face flushed with lilac. What the hell was that?! Why did she just say that? ‘What in the flip flop click clock were you thinking?! Idiot!’

Izumi was also panicking right now. She didn’t know whether she heard it right, but it sounded like Mina wanted Izumi to kiss her. Now Mina is saying otherwise though, so maybe, she was just imagining things. Yea….like she will ever be blessed with the honor of kissing her anyways. Maybe staying as friends would be for the best for someone as amazing as Mina and someone who is a total wreck like Izumi.

Mina took a deep breath. The blush still present on her face. ‘Deep breaths, in and out. Stop being an idiot.’ She looked at Izumi who looked like she was having an internal conflict. “Hey, are you okay?” She questioned, she didn’t hear her the first time…right?

“H-H-Huh?” Izumi jumped out of her thoughts, lightly panicking a bit. “O-Oh, I-I’m fine. It’s just that I th-thought I-I-I heard y-you ask me permission f-for you to kiss me…”

“Oh no, that wasn’t it, haha.” Mina awkwardly chuckled with a light sweat drop. She clearly just lied right now.

Izumi awkwardly chuckled in embarrassment. “Yea, I could never see myself kissing you.” Mina felt a light sting in her heart after hearing that out of Izumi’s mouth.

‘Guess she doesn’t swing that way after all. Welp…’ Izumi had just registered what she had said as Mina looked defeated and had faced away from her.

She didn’t mean for that to slip out her mouth. It was an accident. She didn’t mean it! “I-I-I…Ashi…” She couldn’t find words to explain to her that she didn’t mean what she said. Just say it! “I-I-I’m sor…” She was lost for words as she felt herself rising into a panic attack. Tears were dwelling in her eyes as she clenched her shirt over her heart and she began to hyperventilate. She didn’t want her to leave her…

Mina was a bit occupied, thinking about what to do about these feelings she had for Midoriya. She was too clouded with her own thoughts to hear her friend and crush having a hard time breathing. It was only until she slowly turned around was when she noticed it.

She reached out for her arm but Izumi flinched a bit before Mina grabbed her wrist. She pulled the panicking girl into a hug and rubbed her back to try and calm her down. She might have been none directly rejected, to be honest. She might have been referring to herself considering how she has been treated by her old friend. But she doesn’t know, it doesn’t matter now.

“Hey, Hey…it's fine…it’s fine…” She said as Izumi had subconsciously buried her head into Mina’s chest. Seeking the closest comfort to her. She was choking under her sobs, unable to speak. Mina just did her best to calm her friend down. Mina looked at their next stop and it was her city in Shizuoka. ‘…Fuck it I can just order it.’

Once they had reached her stop, they got off the train and Mina helped Izumi stand up, still hugging her in the process. Izumi was sobbing but she wasn’t sobbing like before, it was more quiet now. Her body was hunched over and she was still clenching her chest.

When they made it to her house, they walked inside immediately and went straight to Ashido’s room. Mina had sat Izumi on her bed and it seemed the greenette had calmed a bit. Ashido had walked to her counter and grabbed some napkins and walked back.

Izumi looked absolutely wrecked. Like she had just seen someone die. Her face was full of tears, more tears threatening to fall from her only eye. Mina held the napkin and wiped her face. Mina smiled at her to try to bring the mood up.

“I’m…sorry.”

“What?”

“I-I’m I-I….I d-didn’t mean it…” She started as her hands began to shiver. “I d-didn’t mean it…I-I-I don’t…I d-don’t-…”

“Hey, Hey. It’s fine I know you didn’t really mean it in any bad way. If anything, I should be the one to say sorry for even saying what I said…” She sighed as she pulled out her phone. She opened Croogle and looked at Izumi. “What was the Pizza place? I can order it and we can just…chill.”

“…Shouko’s Pizza.”

Mina opened the site and placed the order for a pepperoni. “I’ll put it on me okay?”

“But-.”

“Hey, no.” Mina booped her nose with a pout. “I’m paying.”

“Ashido-“

“Also don’t call me Ashido. Call me Mina.” She requested, still pouting. She wants to improve their relationship to its highest point if they couldn’t be together as a couple.

“B-But…” Izumi looked at Mina, still looking defeated. “Ok, a-and you can call me Izumi.” Mina clapped her hands with a smile on her face. This caused Izumi to smile again. Maybe, Mina wouldn’t leave her after this whole thing. That’s what makes Mina so awesome.

“Thank you so much, my! Besto Friendo!” This caused Izumi to begin giggling a bit loudly. Mina had a big smile on her face. She was really good at bringing up the mood when needed. She needed to show Izumi what she said if it was an accidental rejection that it wouldn’t change them from being friends. “So…want to watch something on my tv?”

Izumi nodded in response as she rubbed the only eyes she had. Mina looked at her eyepatch and pouted. She got up and went to one of her drawers and began digging in it. Izumi tilted her head in response. Mina came back with a sticker of some kind. She showed it to Izumi and it was a green heart emoji sticker. “Can I?”

Izumi leaned her face forward a bit, allowing Mina to put the sticker on. She did it and Mina gave her a thumbs up as she threw herself on the bed and grabbed the tv remote.

Izumi grazed the sticker on her eyepatch and her heart skipped a beat for some reason. She looked at Mina who was deciding on what to watch with her friend. Midoriya really wanted to tell her that truly didn’t mean it, she wanted to kiss her. She wanted to feel her lips on her own, but she knows she doesn’t deserve it after today.

She fucked it up and now she feels like she needs to face the conciquences. She was just lucky that Mina was the kind of person who would never abandon someone in their time of need. After all, that's what a true hero does.

“Ey yo?!”

Izumi jumped at the sound of Mina shouting. “The new Demon Slayer Movie: Infinity Castle is on this site now!”

“…Y-You’re lying….”

Rika Ashido came home, fully expecting to see Izumi, Mina’s friend, in an hour or two. Rika was out helping her friend rearrange the house. But then she noticed Mina’s shoes and someone else’s shoes at the front door. ‘They got home already? That was kinda early…’ She thought as it was only 4o clock, she thought they would’ve been away later than that. But she shrugged it off.

She went up to Mina’s room and slowly peaked in, she heard credits of some kind of movie playing music. But she saw something that could make her barely hold back a squeal.

Mina and Izumi were both sitting up straight, resting the top of their heads on one another. She couldn’t care less that they ate a whole pizza box. But this was just outright adorable, both of the top of their fluffy heads were pressed up against each other as they slept.

Rika slowly crept into the room and turned off the tv. She put a blanket over the two and she witnessed Izumi’s head slide down to Mina’s shoulder and Mina’s head resting on Izumi’s. Rika smiled at this, they have gotten close.

She slowly crept out of the room as she looked back with a smile on her face. “I’ll leave em like that for an hour or an hour and a half.”
