"Are you, Pluto?"
Idia stared intensly at you. His fingers clutched onto the berry-red fruit so tightly, his claw-like nails dug into the crimson skin, creating leaks of juice to drip down his bony fingers.
Finally, he smiled; his sharp teeth glistening under the moonlight of the dark, empty dormitory corridor. His smiled so widely, anyone could've sworn he was ripping a facial muscle. But he couldn't help it. He felt so happy; more happy than he had ever been. Mostly because he finally understood this feeling eating away at his heart, and who it was for.
The feeling of wanting to take you away, drag you into his dungeon, and keep you hidden away forever.
.
.
.
It was a lot easier just to watch y/n from the distance.
Because otherwise, Idia's anxiety acted up even worse than usual. He couldn't stand being out in big crowds or talking to people face-to-face. Maybe that's why he chose to spend most of his time online with other gamers, as it made conversating quite a bit more simple.
Still, he wished he really just and went to speak to y/n instead of ignore them. Y/N would sit at lunch with the other students, and chat away with them, and as much as Idia wished to join, his heart did one too many flip-flops just from a distance. Surely, he would have a heart attack if he was in mere inches from y/n.
Yeah, watching from a distance was better.
.
.
.
"On your left ! He's trying to flank you!" Idia shouted into his headset, his eyes glued on his computer, his fingers rapidly pressing and typing a series of buttons, almost creating a steady rhythm as he did; his hand flew around his desk, rapidly clicking his mouse as he foused on his game.
Gaming was always something Idia enjoyed. It was the only time he really felt comfortable with others, really. Talking to people in public made him nervous and uncomfortable, but online ? It didn't bother him. He was simply in the comfort of his own room, enjoying the silence besides the sounds coming from the game— that being shooting and explosions.
And besides from his younger brother, nobody came in here. You could call it his little kingdom. That is, if you considered mountains of empty pomegranate smoothie cups and energy drinks kingdom-like.
Maybe he was a bit of a hermit, maybe Idia just preferred to spend most of his time alone. Which you could argue is the same thing, but he'd disagree.
* DING *
' playerkore777 has joined the game '
That little notification on the upper right of his screen made Idia perk up a bit. Whenever they got on, he always felt his heart skip a little beat.
To be honest, it was hard to find teammates who didn't suck at this game, but you didn't. And whenever you and Idia played together, you both trusted each other with the other's back. Not to mention, you were nice, fun to talk to, and you joked and chatted plenty with Idia, even if it was just on the group's message board.
Idia ran an online group called Underworld Palace, and you joined it a few months ago. That's how Idia met you, and pretty quickly did the two of you hit it off. Eventually Idia even promoted his new online friend to second in command in the group. Sure, he might've been a bit biased with that choice, but nobody really argued with Pluto— whom was highest on all the scoreboards, number one player in the ranks, and was seen as nobody to really mess with.
"Hey, Kore!" Idia immediately greeted.
"Hello Pluto!"
Idia felt his heart skip again.
"So," you popped your knuckles before leaning in closer to your computer screen. "how have you been, Pluto?"
Idia kept focus. And though he was really good at it while keeping conversation to his teammates, it was a bit more difficult around you.
But not in a bad way, of course!
"I'm well.. I guess classes are tiring.." he confessed easily to them, and you laughed a bit.
Idia didn't even know who his friend was in real life; nor did he know they were you— as in you, his classmate. Pluto never really talked about himself, but he didn't get super snoopy with questions when it came to you— even if he had an inner urge to learn everything there was. And the mystery of their real identity behind the screen only made the curiosity grow.
Either way, Idia and you played games until pretty late. Much later than his other game friends, but eventually you said you were going to bed and Idia said goodnight. He played a little longer, but realized it just wasn't any fun without Kore— and turned off his PC.
Idia stretched a bit before standing up, looking around his room before something caught his attention out his window. When he peeked out partially opened blinds, he saw you strolling across the courtyard, chatting with Azul and the twins.
Idia couldn't help but watch for a moment; his eyes transfixed on your figure, your smile as you chatted away to the other three men laughing and holding an entertaining conversation with you— which tugged the heartstrings of the stalker watching you. Idia wished it was him making you smile and laugh like that.
"I wish I had the courage to at least talk to you, Y/N..." Idia mymbled to himself before plopping down on his bed, his tired yellow eyes focused on the ceiling, his long blue hair sprawled across the bed.
"If I could at least say I.. like you.. I'd be happy..."
He hugged one of his many pillows, burying his face into it. Why was talking to people so hard ? He never had a crush before, and didn't know what to do with these feelings. Every time he tried to approach you, he chickened out and ran back into the safety of his room— then cried and called himself a failure at the most simplest of things. It was hard being in crowds, it was hard talking to people— it was terrfying.
If only his social anxiety didn't cause such problems.
But .. what if you and him stayed alone together ? If you and him were the only ones around, Idia wouldn't be so anxious.. No, not at all. Just like when he's in bedroom alone; if it was just you and him..
His fingers ran up the pillow, his imagination wondered what it be like if you were the one in his arms. So close, so near... If you two could be alone forever, just in your own little space, that would seem like a dream come true. No one to watch him or you, no one around; it would only be him there to make you smile and the both of you could chat away, having only the company of each other and nobody else.
"I want you to be here with just me.." He mumbled to himself before falling asleep.
.
.
"Watch out, Shroud-kun!"
* THUNK *
"Ouch..!" Idia felt something his the back of his head, but what was worse was the fact he ended up dropping his smoothie, and got some of the deep pink substance on his striped shirt, making it even dirtier than it usually was.
He rubbed his head and noticed a little glowing golden ball by his feet. He glanced over his shoulder and saw the Leech twins, one looking unamused and one running over— and was probably the one who threw the orb.
"My bad. I was tossing it and didn't see you," Floyd apologized as his brother picked the orb.
"We're also sorry for the mess," Jade added, adjusting his hat. "But we're late for a meeting with Azul, so we need to get going." He didn't actually sound really sorry, but Idia just ignored it.
"I-It's fine.." Idia murmured, looking down, feeling his face– along with his flaming hair– start to turn light pink. Mostly because people were starting to stare at him. So, of course he began to try and make an escape around the corner, but that was a mistake because be simply bumped into you.
Which made his skin and hair glow a dark magenta and freeze up.
"Oh, sorry Shroud-kun.. ! Are you okay?" You asked, frowning with some concern, but mostly because this was the first time you spoke to Idia.... and was close enough to speak to, for once.
However, poor Idia sort of short-circuited. He tried to scrambled up some sort of answer, but it was impossible to. He felt his face heating up, your gaze on him... he panicked. Oh yeah. And quickly ran past you without a word and disappeared out of sight.
"I'm sorry !"
Idia felt his eyes water up with frustration.
"I wish I could talk to you, Y/N.. but if I'm not in my room.. I.. I don't know how to talk to anyone..."
He quickly shut his dorm room door behind him and sighed, leaning against it before sliding to the floor, pulling his knees to his chest. He hid his face under his arms and sighed again. Unless he was in his trusted environment, it just felt so.. overwhelming. The darkness, the quietness of his room... it reminded him of back home and he liked that.
* DING *
That familiar sound that someone joined his game caught his attention, and Idia glanced up over at his computer. He noticed immediately it was you who joined, and his cheeks lit up a soft pink slightly, his tears stopped as well.
"Kore.." he sniffed, wiping his nose with his oversized sleeve before standing up and sitting at his desk. He pulled out his keyboard and was about to type, but noticed he already got a message.
playerkore777: 'Hey Pluto. Hru ?'
Idia paused. Then he smiled a bit to himself before sending back a reply. He didn't neccesarily say what was wrong and get into detail, but did mention he could be doing better.
playerpluto666: ' I'm ok. Just–
Just what ? Suffering from a crush ? He couldn't say that....
Could he ?
He never got to express these feelings to anyone or admit them out loud. Maybe it would make him feel better to do that.
playerpluto777: '–am having difficulty telling someone something.'
He finished and sent it. Pretty quickly, did he get a reply.
playerkore777: ' I'm sorry. Do u wanna talk abt it ?'
And Idia did. He admitted he had a crush on a classmate but didn't have the courage to talk to them. Much less, confess.
playerkore777: ' why don't you ask them to meet up with you somewhere you're most comfortable at ? Maybe you won't feel so overwhelmed. '
Idia held his breath. Would that work? If he asked you to meet him somewhere he was more comfortable at...
"But asking them to come to my room sounds... weird.."
But.. it was worth a shot .. right ?
.
.
.
"I-I'll just ask them to meet me at the door.. I won't ask them to come in– unless they want to, and that's a whole different thing.." Idia murmured to himself, setting a note on your desk before classes started. Since he was in a different class, he didn't see you during this time of day, and had his own classes to attend before they started.
"Okay... " he looked around the empty classroom before exiting it, exhaling a long breath afterwards.
Now, was time to wait.
And Idia did wait. He waited at his bedroom door, awaiting a knock. This was it. He couldn't help but chew his nails with his pointy teeth in anticipation, mentally going over the script he wrote in his brain of what to say.
Idia waited...
And waited...
He opened the door every now and again, to see if you were coming, but to no avail— you never showed up.
".... Y/N.." Idia mumbled to himself, picking at the pomegranate he had been snacking on for a few minutes, but they felt sour now, and inedible. He squeezed a seed and red liquid trickled down his delicate pale fingertips. It kinda reminded of how crushed his heart felt right now.
"I guess.. they were busy or something.." He said to himself, wondering if he maybe did something wrong. Maybe he did and he just didn't know.
Truth is, unknowingly to Idia, he hadn't.
His note just didn't get found by you.
Before class, the note had been found by Azul— whom looked over the note up and down before stifling a chuckle. Did the God of the underworld himself.. have a crush on you ?
"Dear me.. what will Shroud-san say when he finds out Y/N and I are already a pairing ?" He sighed, putting the note in his inner pocket before adjusting his jacket in a gentleman-sort-of-manner and swiftly, yet causally left the classroom. "I suppose for his sake I'll let him avoid being heartbroken.." Perhaps then Idia would come over for advice and Azul could charge him for that. Yes, a deal with Idia Shroud would be interesting indeed.
.
.
After you never showed up, Idia felt heartbroken. Mostly because the poor guy didn't know what he did wrong.
But.. this anxious feeling growing in his heart... along with something else.. started to swell.. It began to feel painful, and Idia wasn't sure what this feeling was called.
He was slouching in his computer seat when he got a text from you via online.
playerkore': How did it go?'
Idia didn't really want to answer. He felt too heartbroken to. And, with a shaking finger, Idia reached and pressed the power button on his PC, shutting it off.
"Y/N... I .." he dug his pointy nails into his desk, scratching through the wood, digging downwards as he felt... so.. so frustrated.
.
.
Next day after classes was when Idia caught sight of you. And God, you were beautiful as always as you sat on the edge of the water fountain, going over your school books so causally, and yet you looked like a flower— something so... delicate , and something so precious..
And he wanted that precious flower. Away from the world, down and hidden away in his hold where only he could see it.
Suddenly Idia felt alarmed of that feeling.
Since when was he so.. scary !?
"I.. I didn't mean it...!" He thought with panic, grabbing handfuls of his hair. There was no way he felt that way about you; there was no way! There couldn't be such a possessive feeling to be in his heart, but it was. He didn't want it ! He didn't want you all to himself; something he didn't need to share with anyone else.
And yet, deep inside, Idia knew he was lying to himself.
But what snapped him out of it was when he noticed someone had sat beside you. A certain and familiar male you had been hanging around with a lot lately: Azul Ashengrotto.
Idia watched, almost memorized as Azul sat so close to you, gently combing his fingers through your hair before kissing your forehead; he muttered something in your ear and you blushed before shyly looking away, and that's when you noticed Idia was watching.
Suddenly turning pink, Idia looked away, feeling his eyes water up. It didn't take more than two brain cells to understand what was going on between you two.
"Shroud-kun–" you were about to call out, but Azul held a finger to your lips, silencing you before sending you one of his handsome, yet sly smiles; his shiney silver-blue eyes glinted behind his frames glasses.
"Let him be." Azul said to you. After all, eventually Idia would come crawling to him, asking what to do. He was a big ball of almost always nearly broken nerves, and probably would beg for advice... At least, that's what Azul's ego told him.
Still, you sensed something was wrong with Idia, and your good nature tugged at your heart, making you feel anxious to go check up on him.
"I'll just ask if he's okay." You said before Azul could say anything, pecking his cheek before running off. It didn't made Azul really pleased to see you worry for someone who most definitely liked you, but oh well, he supposed.
"It's not like he has the courage to say anything, anyway.." Azul murmured under his breath with satisfaction before pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
.
.
Idia had ran back to his room; no surprise. He slumped against his door, pulling his knees to his chest and hugging himself.
Damn it..
Damn it...!
"Why did you have to go out and like someone else..?" Idia thought, biting his lip, his fiery blue hair and equally blue skin, now turning a dark, deep red. His nails, sharp, began to claw at the woven threads of his striped– and stained— sweater, unraveling the threads, but he didn't care.
"Why...why Y/N...!? Why couldn't I at least have a chance !?" He shouted out to himself, but to no avail; he was alone in his room, suffering in the silence until their was a knock at his door.
"Shroud-kun..? Um.. It's me , Y/N.." you hesitantly called out. It was clear just by your tone you were worried.
Worried for him.
And that thought made Idia's color change from a red to a light pinkish color. He scooted closer to the door, pressing his ear against it as he listened to you.
"You looked a bit upset–" Well, really upset actually. "And I got worried. .."
Idia didn't say anything. Mostly because of how.... in awe he was.
"They were worried... ! They were worried...!" He thought nonstop to himself, a smile growing on his face.
But you weren't aware of how happy you were making him. You just felt anxious for him and were nervously fiddling with your school jacket as you tried to come up with conversation. After all, you and Shroud didn't chat much— if at all.
Oh! Right. You suddenly remembered something Shroud's little brother told you.
"You play Call of War , right ?"
That question made Idia freeze.
"I do too–"
Suddenly the bedroom door opened, and Idia stepped out, revealing himself; his tall figured hovered yours, but that didn't stop your curiosity of asking another question.
"You play Call of War ?" He asked quietly and you nodded.
"Your little brother told me you play.. and well.. I got curious and downloaded the game.." you began to explain, hiding your hands behind your back as you blushed with some embarrassment. "You never talked to me much at classes, and I thought maybe if we played online you'd talk to me more and I could get to know more about you.." you sighed, bit your lip then smiled sheepishly. "I know you're kinda.. shy in real life, so I didn't want to scare you away.."
And as you said all that, Idia was totally dumbfounded. Mostly because he found his crush liked the same game he did. And how the early moonlight began to light up your features in the semi-dark hallway...
"I'm actually playerkore777.." you finally confessed and it was like the world went silent for a second. You were worried Idia might find you weird for knowing him online but not saying anything. However, that was the least of Idia's problems. His crush, his love, was also his best online friend. It made so much sense now ! Why he was always excited to play online with Kore— because Kore was you ! What a coincidence. What an amazing coincidence..
Idia didn't even notice he began to tighten his grip around the pomegranate he was holding.
This was top much of a coincidence. Surely, by this point, you two were fated to be together. You two were perfect for each other.
But you had one more question. You still didn't know for sure if Idia was..
"Are you Pluto?" You finally asked, though you were 100% sure. "You are, right?"
Idia stared intensly at you. His fingers clutched onto the berry-red fruit so tightly, his claw-like nails dug into the crimson skin, creating leaks of juice to drip down his boney fingers.
Finally, he smiled; his sharp teeth glistening under the moonlight of the empty, dark dormitory corridor. He smiled so widely, anyone could've sworn he tore a facial muscle. But he couldn't help it. He felt so happy; more happy then he ever been because be finally understood this feeling in his heart and who it was for.
"Y/N..." Idia finally said, ignoring the fruit his grip was abusing in his hand, and how the bloody seeds began to fall onto the floor. "I have something to admit, too." He confessed, taking a step closer, putting his hand on your cheek, whic made your breath hitch.
Idia felt...cold. Surprisingly cold. Like death; ironic since his hair was literal flames. His smile never wavered either, and he leaned in very closer, stil towering over you even still.
"I.. I like you, Y/N. I have for a long time.." he confessed, his words so genuine, and yet the tone wasn't warm; it sounded... icy, and desperate
"That's why, I want you to be mine. You can.. can't you, Y/N?" Idia asked, leaning in closer, too close for comfort, for sure.
"I-I..." you were shocked, frozen, and weren't sure how to react. Finally you gathered some working vocal cords. "I have a boyfriend, Shroud-kun.. I'm sorry—"
"But if you didn't you would, right !?" Idia asked hopefully. "If you didn't have a boyfriend, you'd let me be yours, right !?"
Now you were really shocked. You were about to try and step away, but Idia already dropped the butchered pomegranate on the floor and grabbed your wrist.
"S-Shroud-k-kun—"
"Right!?"
"I-I can't —"
"But if you didn't have a—"
"I said I can't!!"
Your voice raised and it made Idia flinch back. You didn't mean to sound so harsh, but he.. he was really starting to scare you right now. Hence why you held your hands to your chest in a protective position and backed away a step.
"M-Me and Azul-kun.. are going out.." you muttered, keeping your gaze away from the blueblue-headed male. "S-so.. so I can't. I'm sorry." You turned your face away and ran— ran down the corridor and out of sight, leaving Idia alone standing by his door.
You didn't even realize how out of breath you were until you finally collapsed outside the Ignihyde dormitories, panting heavily as you clutched your chest.
You.. had never seen the other look so... so...
"He looked so.. scary .." you breathed, putting your hands to your face as you felt your eyes water up. Just what happened back there !?
"If you didn't have a boyfriend, you'd let me be yours, right!?"
That question is what rattled your mind the most. Just what was Idia's intent behind it ? It made you shiver even more, and your clutched your arms, hugging yourself as your sniffled and cried a bit. Never had you thought Idia would've grabbed onto your like that, and ask such startling things. And that look in his usual tired, soft eyes... was so sharp, cold, and possessive...
.
.
After that night, you didn't touch your PC. You didn't go back playing Call of War nor did you talk to Idia. Actually, since that night, you hadn't seen him.
Not that you wanted to.
You even unintentionally began to push Azul and your friends away. Just that.. you had this unsettling feeling of someone watching you; you felt like Idia was there, but he wasn't. When you walked past a window or mirror, you could almost always swear you saw him. When you were alone, it felt like someone was watching you from the shadows.
Eventually you began to lose it. You couldn't be alone and always tagged along with one of your classmates. You couldn't even go to the bathroom in fear of being alone. And forget sleep; you hadn't slept right in the last week now. You just tossed and turned, waking up in cold sweat, and having the same nightmare: You would be standing peacefully in a beautiful field of flowers under the bright summer sun, admiring the flourish around you when the sun would turn black, and suddenly the flowers would began to wilt in waves, and the ground would break open, and there was Idia. He would grab your wrist, pulling you down into a dark, deep pit, and no matter how much you tried to fight it, he always succeeded in dragging you down and dow , further and further away until you couldn't see anything but total darkness.
.
"-N... Y/N...?"
You snapped out of another daze when you realized Floyd and Jade were staring at you. They had been chatting away at something but stopped when they noticed you weren't paying attention.
You shook your head, smiling weakly at them temporarily. "Sorry. I, um.. I think I'll head back to my room. I'm not really feeling well.." you mumbled apologetically.
The two twins frowned, seeming awfully disappointed you were leaving. "Aww, but Y/N-chan, I wanted to show you a design I sketched for you." Floyd awed, holding up a sketchbook of fashion designs.
"Sorry. I promise to look at it later," you promised, but Jade looked a bit more serious.
"Are you really okay ? Ashengrotto-san seems to miss you lately."
Floyd gasped. "Did you two break up?!"
You swallowed. True, lately you've been making up excuses to avoid Azul, but truth is, you hadn't been hanging out with anyone. You were only here with the twins because they pretty much followed you no matter what when Azul is busy.
"I just.. haven't felt well.." was all you could come with, as lame as it sounded. You just didn't want to be around anyone. But especially Azul. Because no way he wouldn't notice something was wrong with you. He was just clever and detailed; Azul would eventually figure out something was wrong. Maybe you were embarrassed, maybe you were scared Idia might really do something if you told Azul.
Was Idia.. really that jealous ? He couldn't be, right ? But you were scared of taking that chance. Taking the chance of upsetting the God of the underworld and him taking it out on your boyfriend.
"I'm gonna go." You told the twins quickly before speed walking back off, exiting the school grounds and heading outside. Yeah, being cooped up in your room was all you've been doing besides heading to class. So some fresh air felt like a nice change.
Eventually you stopped at the garden. You took a seat at a nearby bench and sighed, trying to relax your nerves. It was difficult with being alone out here, but.. if you thought about it, Idia didn't really leave his room so you should be alright here.
And.. it finally felt a little peaceful. You closed your eyes and focused on your breathing.
Eventually, you found yourself dozing off, and you fell asleep, right there, laying on the bench with your arms positioned comfortably under your head.
Maybe it was the sweet scent of the flowers, or maybe the peaceful silence of the evening; it was quiet in the garden with classes over and students heading towards the dining hall. That was nice, and it eased you, and your sleep-deprived body, to sleep, and into the most nicest and pleasant of dreams: you and Azul were laying in a patch of flowers and you were resting in Azul's lap; he smiled down at you as he played with your hair .
"I love you."
He whispered and you smiled, and though the sun made your vision blurred of his face, you smiled back knowing you was there.
"I love you, Y/N.."
You shifted a bit before starting to wake up; your eyes opened. Then you realized you weren't laying in a patch of flowers with Azul. No, you were still on the garden bench, and you weren't resting in your boyfriend's lap.
Azul wasn't looking down at you at all.
It was Idia; he was running a hand through your hair as he smiled widely down at you.
"Ah, did I wake you? Sorry.. I was talking to myself.." he apologized casually, as if you didn't just go petrified in sudden fear. Mostly because you have no idea how long Idia was here while you slept.. touching your hair and face and ... when did he move your head into his lap—
Idia noticed you weren't speaking and smiled a bit sheepishly. "What's wrong? Did I startle you–"
"Floyd! Jade!" You shouted out, making Idia's smile pause.
Was Floyd and Jade still nearby? Could they hear you if you called out for them !?
"Azul—" you began to call out Azul's name even louder, about to sit up, but Idia put his hand over your mouth and pushed you back down.
"Don't..." he started, his tone as cold as ice. "..don't... say his name... please, Y/N.. It upsets me.." he muttered, and his hand squeezed your face unconsciously.
"I'm going to move my hand, Y/N.. please don't yell again.." and he slowly retraced his hand, but even still you couldn't breath. It was like a rope of fear was strangling your neck, tighter and tighter, and you couldn't catch any air.
"Hey, I got you something, Y/N," Idia mentioned, pulling something out from behind him. It was a shiny red fruit, it's outer skin was glossy and color vivid; the fruit held an ominous aura, however. It was almost a tempting object, and yet your gut told you to stay far, far away from it.
"Isn't it pretty ? The ones here just aren't the same as the ones like this from my home. I got it just for you, Y/N." He said, holding the pomegranate with both hands and breaking it in half.
"Now.." the bloody liquid trickled down his hands, a drop dripping on your forehead.
"Try a taste, Y/N~" he whispered.
And as much as you squirmed and struggled, Idia had unnatural strength, or maybe your muscles just forgot how to work. Either way, you couldn't do a thing as Idia forcefully pryed apart your mouth open, and squeezed the pomegranate juice down your gasping, screaming throat.
And after that, you saw black, and fell unconscious, unaware as pink dribbled your lips, across your S/C cheek, like a tear Idia wiped with his thumb and licked away.
"Don't worry, Y/N.. I promise, from the depths of my heart, I'll take care of you from now on.." he promised, kissing your forehead, his kiss leaving a temporarily blue-ish mark on your skin before it vanished after a moment.
Idia had a lot to do; he needed to get rid of Azul somehow. Though that be difficult, but Idia had his ways. Sure, he may be a social havoc, but he was smart.
And so very much in love with you.
He wouldn't let another man kiss you, touch you, or love you. You were his; you were Idia's precious flower. Something so delicate and beautiful — he couldn't let someone trample on you, ruin your potential and beauty. He'd protect you, savor you.
You might not understand at first, and that was okay ! Idia was new to love, too ! Whatever you considered with Azul wasn't real anyway. Azul was a businessman with no heart or conscious. Idia had those things ! Idia wanted to spend each moment with you, and he would give you everything you could ever need.
All he asked was for your love in return.
.
.
.
[A FEW WEEKS LATER]
The restraints on your wrists kept you tied to the head of the bed, and the gag kept you from screaming. Not that you could scream anyway even without the gag; you're throat was beyond dry. Perhaps it had something to do with how dehydrated you made yourself.
The first few days you cried your eyes out. You begged for Idia to let you go.
By the end of the first week, you felt yourself start to plummet into despair. You refused any food or water, terrified of Idia feeding you anything again. And so, your body began to wilt, and began to suffer more.
Idia never did anything harsh to you. All he did was watch you. Like a kid with a toy they were too afraid to use of fear of breaking. And he was somehow content with that.
"You're beautiful, y'know.. even when you kill yourself like this.." he sighed to himself, dreamily staring at you as he had the last couple hours.
God, he could stare at you for days straight. The only reason he didn't was because he had to attend classes. If you and him both disappeared, it would cause suspicion for him.
But whenever he finished classes and went back to his dorm was his favorite time of day. He'd rush to see you, to tell you about his day and ask you about yours— not that you could answer. Your throat was too dry and you didn't have anything to tell him. It wasn't like you ever got to leave his room.
"Hey, Y/N, if you talk to me, I'll undo the restraints for awhile ..!" Idia tried to tempt you, hoping you talk to him, but you didn't say a thing; he frowned. Then Idia sighed and scooted over closer to you, cradling your face ever so gently.
"If you say something.. I'll..." he trailed off, his bangs covered his eyes, so it was hard to tell what sort of expression Idia was making at the moment. "I'll.. " he gritted his teeth.
"WHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO DO !? I LOVE YOU... I.. I love you so much and you don't even notice..." his voice ranged from sudden, small anger outbursts, to long sniffling mumbling. Like now.
But it was okay. Yeah, he got this. "It's.. it's fine.. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.. I.. I shouldn't have raised my voice..." he whispered, his eyes tearing up as he hid his face in your shoulder and cried a little.
"We'll get through this, right ?" He asked, as if you'd answer and tell him. His fingers clutched onto the front of your shirt, and Idia trembled, hugging onto you, his dying, starving prisoner as if you could protect him, answer his worries and assure him everything would be alright.
"We'll.. learn together. ." Idia muttered, looking up at you. He tracing a fingertip across your lower lip before taking bith your hands and holding them close to his face. "How to love each other correctly..Right..?" He asked, leaning in.
"Y/N....?"
