“Chiaki…?” Hajime's voice was quiet and soft - deep still as his dark eyes glanced to his right, noticing the 'Ultimate Gamer' lost in all the stars hanging high above them both as they laid down on the empty field of deep green grass. A smile tugged at his lips, making him chuckle and look up at the stars she was looking at.
Silence fell for a few more seconds, a comforting and soothing breeze brushing through and around the two students. Closing his eyes, Hajime let out a soft and pleasant chuckle before slipping his fingers into the gaps between Chiaki's soft fingers. “You… wanna make this game?” he asked, turning to look again at the gamer with that same comforting smile he always gave Chiaki.
This caught her attention, she gave him a firm nod and smiled with confidence. “First to 100 stars wins,” she said in her usual tired tone, looking back at the night sky and gripping his hand tighter, as a subtle way of showing her focus and determination to win.
“You're on…” Hajime whispered with a soft laugh, locking his gaze on a large collection of stars off to the west of them - smirking as he believed he had the upper hand, glancing at her for a second and blushed before looking up at the sky once more.
Around Chiaki, his mind seemed to go faster and all over the place, like he couldn't control his thoughts…
“Go!”
The sudden call from the Gamer Girl caught him off guard as within a few seconds she let out a triumphant huff. “Found them!” she declared with pride as she smiled wide, her cheeks turning a cute pink colour as she looked at the bewildered Hajime before giggling and shuffling close before pushing her chubby little face into his shoulder.
“If… you want to know how I did it…” Chiaki began slowly, closing her eyes and humming in a quiet yet cosy fashion as she began to doze off once more.
“You are my 100 stars… Hajime…” she used her last ounce of strength to tell him that before falling into another long sleep.
“Chi...aki…?” Despite how cheesy what she just said was, it hit Hajime deep in his heart, a wide and incredibly goofy grin crossed his thin lips before he slowly pressed a kiss against the top of her head while she slept so peacefully in his arms, it wasn't much… but it was enough for Hajime.
