Chapter Text
"So, I'm guessing that I died then." Looking around the apparent library of the afterlife where every book was a different person's life. Not so much of a shock, it was expected when the last thing seen was people huddling around in shock and fear after the crash. "It seems so, how unfortunate for such a young soul to leave the world so soon." When people say they see a bright light they wouldn't be wrong since there is a bright light apparently talking right now. "So are you supposed to be god or something cause you seem to be just a ball of light by the looks of it." She wasn't wrong.
"Hah" the orb laughed. "Well I take the form of the religious or traditional figure the person believes in but seeing as you don't have one, I am currently a orb of light."
"Are you able to take the form of anything?" She questions the universal being. "Well yes, do you have something in mind, young one." The orb questioned the young girl in the room.
"How about a red panda? They were always my favorite animal and I think it would be better than just being an orb of light" With that response a light took over the library for a second before a giant red panda took the place where the orb once was. "Does this seem fitting to you?" The now red panda asks, looking down towards the girl.
*So adorable* The girl says in her head while looking at the giant red panda in front of her. Snapping out of thought she looks towards the panda. "Perfect. So what happens now, do I move on, get reborn or does something happen?" The panda takes a moment before answering, trying to find the words for it. "Well many things can happen, you could move on to the afterlife or be reborn into the world again or even in a different one if you like it wouldn't be the first time..." They trail off at the end looking as if to be in thought of a different event.
"Actually if it’s possible, which I think it is since you said a different world, can I be reborn into an anime world at like, any point of time or will it be at the point it was left off from?" Emphasizing the any part seem to be crucial to the decision that has to be made. "Well yes it's possible, although some things might change depending what point of time you are looking for but non the less it is possible. Do you already have something in mind?" Looking over to the girl you can see the bright smile on her face already.
"Well, I want to be reborn into the Netherworld of the anime Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun! Preferably 9 years or so before the show started to change some things up, if it’s alright with you of course." Sheepishly looking up to the chuckling panda. "Well you definitely know what you want and of course it’s not too much. It is your new life we are talking about here. If memory serves me right, the Netherworld is made up of all types of demons so to be born into that world you would need to have a body of a demon and of course some magic, let's see what we can come up with." Motioning the girl to follow they make their way towards a holographic screen.
"Here we will come up with the basic look for the new you. All you have to put in is the type of magic you would like, if you would like either horns or a tail or even both and what age you would like to be." Looking at the screen, it displays the options for the missing traits listed. Scrolling through the magic option looking for one that won't get her mixed up with other demon families she decided to put in her own magic. As well as choosing both horns and a tail for her appearance and deciding to put 5 years for age. "All right, is that everything?" Looking over to the panda viewing all the information.
"Yes, everything seems to be in order for your new life. Soul magic huh, sounds quite a lot like the abilities of a certain error character wouldn't you say" Looking at the direction of the girl you can see the embarrassment in her face. "W-well I didn't want to have magic that could cause confusion between demons and it was all I could think of." Admitting it seemed to worsen the redness in her face quite a bit.
"Heh-heh" Chuckling, they waved a paw towards her. "I'm only teasing there's nothing wrong with it. On that note were ready to send you down now, so all you have to do is say the word"
"Well time for my new life huh. Guess this is goodbye, hopefully I don't see you soon cause that would mean I died again." She laughed at the end.
"Yes that would be true, well goodbye and good luck in your new life May."
"Of course you would know my name." Rolling her eyes she looked at them once more. "Thank you for this."

Opening her eyes to see twisted trees in front of her was a good sign that she was in her new life now. Standing up, May noticed 3 things. One she is in a body of a 5 year old if her height has anything to say about it, two she is near a road and three she can hear what seems to be hooves hitting the ground. Taking a few steps forward she is imminently face to face with a pair of demon horses and what appears to be a carriage behind them. Taking a step back she notice a familiar pair of red cat ears.
"What seems to be the problem Opera?" A voice from inside the carriage called out to the now known Opera. "It appears to be a child Lord Sullivan, one that is all by itself seeing that there is no other demon in sight." Opera responds.
"A child? Now why would one be out here of all places" Stepping out of the carriage Sullivan glances down to where May is currently standing. *What an adorable child.* He thinks of it while making his way towards May. "Now why are you here all by yourself in the middle of the road little one, don't you have someone looking after you?" Sullivan asks while crouching down.
Deciding that it is better to lie then explain the truth May shakes her head not trusting her voice right now. "Well that's no good, we can't leave you here alone but I have a meeting to attend now as well, mmh what to do?" Shaking his head in though he picks up May and turns toward Opera. "I've decided! We will simply take her to the meeting and decide what to do later. Isn't that a great idea Opera." Sullivan says cheerfully.
"Are you quite certain my Lord, will his Majesty allow it?" Opera questions, showing no facial indication of it except for a simple head tilt. "Now, now Opera don't fret so much Derkila once brought a scropilion to our meeting, a child will do no more harm than the scropilion." He says with joy in his voice. "Now let's continue on, we mustn't be late now!" Stepping back into the carriage and closing the door, all with May in his hands, Sullivan makes himself comfortable once more. "Of course my Lord.'' Taking the reins of the demon horses once more, Opera mushes them to continue the journey.
"Before I forget, can I know your name, little one?" Sullivan asks once the carriage begins to move again. "I-it's um May, L-lord Sullivan." Comes a shutter response not knowing how to address him.
"There's no need for that, just call me Sullivan alright, no need to be so polite." Looking for a response, May simply nods her head in agreement towards him.
*Didn't think I would run into them so soon, but I guess this isn't so bad. At least I didn't get run over. But now I'm on my way to a meeting with the King Derkila himself! This day can't get anymore complicated.*
