"Jojo?" his voice came out a little low as Jotaro's nickname bounced off his lips.
"Yes?" he replied normally, with the same stoic face as usual.
"Do you think that when we die we turn into stars?" [name] turned his head in a questioning motion, his eyes continuing to be coated in the sparkles of the stars on that cold Egyptian night.
"What kind of stupid question is that?" Jotaro said rudely. If [name] was someone else he would surely be offended or saddened by the answer, but it was Jotaro's way of normal conversation.
"Well, considering how many people have died, every living being, that could be, right?" She gave a small giggle, making Jotaro smile with innocence "If I die before you Jojo, do you promise to look for my star?" she looked excitedly at him.
Jotaro just smiled under his hat as he leaned his head back on the cold stone, trying to sleep and prepare himself for another day.
Jotaro and [name]'s relationship were strange to say the least. They were opposite "friends", she had a dreamy head, even very creative. Jotaro was closed off, his face in a scowl as he smoked his cigarette. [name] never approved of him smoking that way, but understood when he took his first drag after a tiring fight.
Jotaro was in love with the young woman with [hair color] hair, ever since she appeared together with Kakyoin to kill the same, he fell in love. Most of the time he would hate loud women, but, she was different. She didn't have the usual dislike of others, the bigotry for her looks. She was loud, but sweet to him.
The first time Jotaro noticed his feelings when Steely Dan appeared. The vile man took hold of Jotaro's head, and the resultant made him do actions against [name] so that his grandfather wouldn't die. Obviously she didn't know this, since she had gone out to buy one of the supplies for a few days.
Jotaro doesn't know how it happened, but his face was already a complete sea of tears. They were pouring copiously down his cheeks. He never meant to hurt her, but he had to because of the situation. The insults that came out of the man's mouth, he didn't care when they were with others, but with her, it was like a thousand rocks falling before his back. He had committed a sin against an angel, that was the feeling.
Of course Steely Dan got what he deserved later, Jotaro loved the feeling of him feeling all the pain he deferred to you indirectly.
That same day, Jotaro pulled [name] around the waist with a nervous face. Then he bent down until he could feel their breaths together. Jotaro's warm lips reached the cold lips of [name], due to the tears shed earlier. It was a more passionate kiss that anyone could see. The feel of the woman's smaller hands running down Jotaro's neck; or the way she stood on her tiptoes to kiss him.
After that, the two of them did not unglue. In [name]'s half paranoid mind he thought one moment he would get tired, but no, every moment he was there holding her hand, kissing her soft cheek until it turned pink from shame.
But he can't do that when he separated from her during the fight against Dio. The old man had promised him that he would protect [name], but he cannot fulfill that. Jotaro looked at [name] body a few meters away from Kakyoin's body. He remembers when Dio said "[name] wasn't so easy to kill, she was so beautiful." That was when Jotaro collapsed with hate, his friends were all dead, and even more so, the love of his life.
Jotaro looked once more into the closed eyes of the smaller woman beneath him. Praying, if there was a god, that he would return his beloved. But he knew that was not possible, the hole in his heart was the answer to that. So he looked up at the sky above, with tears in his eyes, trying to look for the new star in the sky.
The years had passed. Jotaro married a woman he met on campus. She was kind, calm, looked like 'her'. But it wasn't her, there was no way any woman in the world could be like her. So at the age of 21 he had Jolyne. Jotaro was happy, having a daughter early was not in his plans, but he loved her.
Jotaro loved to take night walks with his daughter around his family's private islands on vacation. Usually the sky was so clear, it's as if there were no clouds. Once again he would look up at the sky, looking for 'her' star. This did not go unnoticed by his own curious daughter.
"Daddy, why do you look up at the sky so much?" Jolyne asked in a cute little voice.
"It's just that once Jolyne, dad had a friend" He leaned his head against the sand, laying back in comfort.
"Did papa have any friends?" The question seemed to hurt Jotaro, but he smiled at her innocent question.
"Yes Jolyne, and she was beautiful, she sounded like you" He smiled as the image of [name] came into his mind "She once asked me if when we left, we turned into stars".
"I believe so!" The daughter jumped up, looking at Jotaro in conviction.
"Oh yeah? Why?".
"Is that papa, good people need to stay in nice places."
Jotaro's eyes widened at his daughter's answer. She didn't know what death really was, nor her pain, but she spoke in a way that death was, or at least after it, something beautiful.
It was when a few years later, fear began to haunt Jotaro, the fear of stands affecting his family began to make Jotaro make wrong decisions, some of them being: stay away from his family; not keep in touch; not even care about the wrong things that Jolyne did. Then he looked to the sky, looking for her star, trying to find the answers to his problems, but they were in vain.
The sea swayed, the waves violently rocked against the bodies of Jotaro, Jolyne, Emporio, Anasui and Hermes. Pucci acquired his so famous power, Made In Heaven. The first to die was Anasui. Then Pucci landed a blow against Hermes, who ended up catching Jotaro after trying to save Jolyne from the rain of knives.
His face split down the left side, practically decapitated. Flash of memories passed by his eye. All his mistakes, hits, fights, cigarettes and even his family, when the last images were of his deceased passion.
Before Jotaro could close his eyes, in a flash of seconds, a star appeared, only it, in front of the sky, now he had finally found it.
Found her star.
