...though, of course, these are all generalizations. Nonetheless, it is the case as of current that no pure human has ever recorded a level of ichor exceeding one part in two million.
The Wielder is another story entirely. It is this ichor which gives him his powers, though the level of ichors and the corresponding powers associated with his Wielderdom.
The level of ichor in any given Wielder is largely dependent on the whims of the Worldbuilder who appointed him. Of course, there is an average: between one part in five and one part in twenty of a Wielder’s blood may be comprised of ichor. This range is the effective upper and lower limit on who can be considered a Wielder and who cannot. Within this range, the powers of each Wielder remain fairly constant. If the level of ichor is lower, it will quickly degrade over time, until there is essentially none left, making the human just that-- a human. Of course, some ichor may remain in the bloodstream of the human in question. This is, no doubt, what led to the greatest level of ichor discovered.
This should serve as a stark reminder of the differences between Wielders and humans. The Wielder has a level of ichor many orders of magnitude greater than even the most anomalous human. Of course, humans can inherit a level of ichor, but this is essentially negligible compared to supernatural acquisition.
What happens, then, when one exceeds the upper limit of one part in five? Many Wielders seeking power have attempted to do so, but none have succeeded without dying. It seems to be the case that the bodies of homo sapiens cannot sustain such a level of ichor. However, in theory, one would obtain a power even greater than Wielders, able to inflict pain even on Worldbuilders. Since none have attained this power yet, it has yet to be named.
