Work Text:

Hermione looked at the Muggle pregnancy test in her hands and tried to figure out how in Merlin’s name she was going to tell her three boyfriends that she was pregnant.

Her stomach churned just thinking about it.

The four of them had discussed their futures together before, and had even talked about a handfasting ceremony, but none of that had been official. Plus, that was marriage… No talk of children.

“Merlin,” she muttered, wondering how she could have gotten pregnant when they had been so careful. Looking at the test, she huffed. “Obviously not careful enough.” Maybe it was due to the stress of travelling so much and trying to return her parents’ memories? The stomach bug that she contracted in the airport?

She put her hand on her stomach. While the baby was unplanned, it certainly wasn’t unwanted. She already knew her mother would murder her if she even thought about not keeping the baby. Merlin, her parents were going to be grandparents.

There was a knock on the bathroom door. “Yeah?” she called out.

“Hermione, love, you’ve been in there for nearly forty minutes,” Cassius called from the other side. “Are you okay?”

“Shite,” she muttered, not realising that she had been there lost in her thoughts for that long.

“Hermione?” Cassius pressed.

“Can you get Marcus and Adrian? I’ll be in the kitchen in a second,” she said. “I’m fine!” she assured him after a moment.

“Okay.” Cassius stepped away from the door.

Taking a deep breath and steadied herself to tell her wizards. There wasn’t any use in keeping it a secret and stressing herself out more. Finishing up in the bathroom, she tossed the test in the rubbish. Making her way to the kitchen, she was lost in her thoughts.

Would they be mad? What if one of them didn’t want the baby? Would they want to know which one of them was the father? Would it cause tension in their relationship dynamic?

“Hermione,” Adrian greeted, pressing a kiss to her cheek before he pulled her into his arms. “You look flushed, are you okay?”

Hermione looked up at Adrian and felt her eyes water. Looking at Cassius and Marcus, she saw they were also looking at her with concern.

“I… I’m pregnant.” The words fell from her mouth and she froze, waiting for their response.

Adrian tilted her gaze back to him. “Are you really?” he whispered.

“Yes,” Hermione said, nodding.

“That’s amazing!” Marcus shouted, plowing into them and scooping Hermione into his arms. He twirled her around the kitchen in excitement.

“Careful with her!” Adrian shouted before he gently pulled Hermione from Marcus so he could steady her on her feet. He kissed Hermione firmly once she was no longer dizzy.

“Congratulations,” Cassius murmured, coming over to take her hand. He gave it a squeeze.

She looked between the three of them. “You’re all excited?”

“Of course!”

“Yes!”

“Why wouldn’t we be?”

All three of them talked at once. “That’s a relief,” she murmured. “I was worried about your reactions.”

“It’ll be a change, for sure, but we’ll navigate this together,” Adrian promised.

“You’re going to be an amazing mother,” Cassius said, smiling at her warmly.

“The three of you will be great dads.”

“I wonder how big your breasts will get,” Marcus muttered under his breath.

“Marcus!” Hermione screeched, smacking him lightly. “Get your head out of the gutter.”

“Can't, it’s stuck there permanently, you know that.” Marcus shrugged unapologetically.

Hermione looked at her three wizards and felt her heart melt. “Group hug,” she muttered before tugging him all towards her.
