Chapter Text
Percy was trying to have a calm day, but the world decided to have a little fun instead.
It all started this morning when he woke up to a loud bang; his cat, Thanatos, had knocked over a large succulent onto the floor. This was at five am.
Percy’s day just got worse from there. At 7 someone spilt coffee on his white shirt. At 10 a kid set a couch on fire where he worked. At 12 he was accidentally given fish, an allergy of his, with the lunch that he ordered.
All of these things were minor things. Alone, they would not bring a person into a rage, but when piled on top of each other... well, Percy was pretty furious to say the least.
The last straw of the day was the ‘villain’ attack that happened when he was picking up his groceries. This society hardly knows what a villain truly is. They have never even seen a god much less the actual Tartarus, pathetic.
This idiot took a kid as a hostage and stood there monologuing. Percy just wanted his eat his ice cream with his cat, watching Disney movies on repeat. That is not how this went though.
Percy saw that no one was helping the kid out. So he, as a former hero himself, decided to do at least one good thing today. He payed for his groceries as well as some zip-ties and a bandana.
Now you might be wondering, what could someone do with zip-ties and a bandana? I’m here to tell you, a lot.
Percy strode out of the store with his bag and walked straight up to the so called villain.
The villain, now known as Slicer, has arms that work as giant knives. From his elbow to where his hand should end, is a knife. One arm is around the kid hostage, the other waving in the air haphazardly.
Percy dropped his bag beside him and said “hey, how are you doing”?
It is his belief that when confronted with any act of kindness, people freeze for at least one second. This is proved when the villain looks at Percy and just blinks slowly. Percy took this brief pause to form a fist and uppercut Slicer.
Fun fact! If you uppercut someone hard enough they will most likely fall unconscious.
So Slicer drop to the ground and the kid went running back to the people surrounding the area.
Now for the zip-ties and bandana. Percy pulled those out of the bag and proceeded to tie Slicers arms behind his back. Tie his ankles together. Tie his ankles and his wrists together with another zip-ties, and finally gag the villain with the bandana and pull out yet another zip-tie to go around his head to secure the bandana.
All in a days work really. Percy got up, grabbed his grocery bag and went on his way back home. Before he left the immediate area though. He called to the people looking at him with awe “someone might want to call the police, I’m also not a hero or anything. Just your regular person”.
He turned back around and went home to Thanatos, definitely not watching Finding Nemo a minimum of 3 times before watching Hercules.
