Chapter Text
-March 12-
It was a normal day for the Earth Defense Club: Atsushi was reading a book, En was half asleep, Yumoto was cuddling Wombat, Io was checking his stocks, and Ryuu was texting on his phone. Everyone was minding their own business, no signs of any monsters.
"GAAH!!! Another fail! How many is that now?!" Ryuu shouted out. Tomorrow is his birthday, and he seems to be unable to get a date. For someone who has dates pouring into his phone, he got nothing.
"What's going on?" Replied En as he looked up, that seemed to wake him up. Ryuu started messing at his earrings, a clear sign of stress. "I wanna try to get a date for tomorrow night, but no one seems to be around! And it's my birthday too, so I wanna do something special!" He kept his eyes on his phone, trying to get another girl to go out with him. "I heard that some boy band was playing downtown tomorrow night, so they're probably all going to that." Said Atsushi. He was probably right.
"AGAIN?!?! WHAT'S WITH MY LUCK LATELY?!?!" Ryuu shouted out with frustration clearly written over his face and voice. Just then, Io closed down his laptop as he looked up. "I know someone who can go out with you tomorrow night." Blurted out Io, everyone looked up at him. Io didn't seem like the type who would know people like that. "Really?! Do you know when she'll be able to meet up with me?" Replied Ryuu with excitement in his voice. He was starting to become eager knowing that he had found a date. "Yeah, tomorrow night at 7:30. There's a movie playing you can go see. She'll meet you outside at one of the benches." Ryuu walked up to Io and gave him a hug from the back. "Thank you so much Io! I owe you one!" He got up and walked towards the door, "Well, I have to get going now, see ya!!" Ryuu left the room with a smile across his face.
"YAY! Io-Senpai to the rescue!" Shouted out Yumoto, even know he had no idea about what just happened. Io smiled at the blonde and went right back to his laptop.
"Hey Io, that was oddly specific. How do you already know a girl who has those exact plans for tomorrow night?" Questioned Atsushi. Io looked across the table at him, his face slowly turning red. "Oh, I don't-" "WHAT?! Ryuu's gonna be crushed tomorrow!" Shouted Atsushi in a panic. "Let me finish! I don't know a girl, I'm going on the date with him."
