Chapter 1: Tension

Chapter Text

Nairobi put down her red marker. They had made another million. Everything was going well. Although well might be a bit of an overstatement. Denver had shot a hostage. Sure she wasn't dead but does a flesh wound make it better. Berlin had lost his mind, nearly killing Denver and then Rio. And not just that he had dared to throw her onto that table, squeezing the air from her lungs. Just thinking back to that moment had her throat close up. Would he have killed her? There was no doubt in her mind that he would have been capable of taking her life. That thought alone was enough to chill her to her core. There was nothing for her to do but hit him over the mans head. A small smirk settled on her face. She had to admit it felt good, dealing him a well deserved blow. It also felt good to be in charge, to see a tiny flicker of respect in his eyes as he gave the reins over to her. That had been their relationship from the start. Or so Nairobi liked to think. Now she wasn't so sure. Shaking out her hair she let out a long breath. Fuck ,it was getting hot in here. Quickly she peeled herself out of the top half of her red jumpsuit, knotting it at her waist. As soon as the cool air hit her skin she let out a groan. That in turn made her hiss. Damn it, her throat still hurt. Carefully she started to touch her neck, trying to determine how bad it was. But the only thing she felt was the ghost of Berlins hands on her. Nairobi didn't know how long she stood there, hand on her neck, however it was long enough for her to be surprised by the voice that was cutting through her thoughts.
It was dark and sent a shiver down her spine, even though all it said was ''Nairobi.''

As Berlin rounded the corner he started to slow down and eventually came to a stop. Nairobi had disrobed herself to her hips, leaving miles of tanned skin on display. Gradualy his gaze wandered upwards until it halted at her throat. Even though her fingers were covering it he could see the redness that has taken over her complexion. It wouldn't take long for the bruises to form. Bruises, he knew, that would stay for days. His lips formed a cruel smile. There was a part of him that purred in satisfaction, knowing this Goddess of a woman would have to wear his marks. That she couldn't hide them or what happened between them. Berlins smile softened at the memory. Even as he had held her down on the table. As he had felt her pulse fluttering under his fingers, she had fought back. She had never intended to simply lie there and take his rage. Nairobi would never back down from challenging him, something he had to admit he found quite appealing. Not that he would ever admit that to her. Something told him that she would not be  appreciative of the fact that he found anything of hers 'appealing'. Banishing these thoughts he finally stepped forward and made his presense known ''Nairobi.''
Immediately her hand came down to rest on the gun strapped to her thigh. She simply looked at him with a blank expression ''Berlin?''
''I just came for the check up. Everything running smoothly?'', he asked.
''Of course.'', Nairobi replied.
For a second there was silence between them. His eyes wandered back down to her throat. Berlins fingers itched to reach out and wrap themselves around it again, in pleasure this time. Images flashed before his eyes. Her hands in his hair, her legs around his waist, her voice whispering sweet nothings into his ear. How would it feel like, he wondered, to have Nairobi surrender to him.
''Anything else?'', she asked raising one brow.
The older man couldn't resist to let his eyes travel down to her ankles, only to slowly drag them back up. Over her long legs...her waist...up to her breasts...to, once again, her throat and to her eyes. A suggestive little smirk found it's way on to his lips. ''No.'', he answered, his voice dark.

His voice washed over her like a wave, ready to pull her in. The finger she had on her gun twitched. Just for a second she imagined the Satisfaction of shooting him. What in the world was he thinking looking at her like that, letting his eyes wander over her so shamelessly. A part of Nairobi wanted to cover up, pull her jumpsuit back on so he Wouldn't be able to see so much of her. At the same time she didn't want to show that he'd gotten to her. For a moment it seemed, as though she could feel the trail Berlins eyes had left behind. Not only that, she could practically sense the way his hands would feel on her body.
With narrowed eyes, she banished any kind of thoughts along these lines and said ''Shouldn't you go back to your station then.''
The smirk on his face only seemed to widen ''Yes, I suppose so... unless there is anything else you want me to do?''
Heat rushed through her. There was no mistaken what the man meant, even in that one sentence. There was a fire in Berlins eyes, Nairobi knew all to well. She was another challenge. Something he wanted to conquer...steal if you will. Which was something she did not want. She was not something he could circle around, look at from every possible angle until he had the solution. She absolutely refused to be another conquest in any way, shape or form. And yet...she couldn't deny that Berlin held a certain appeal. While he was attractive, it was his mind that really made him what he was. It was as sharp as any knife and just as dangerous.
She was keeping her voice steady, as she answered ''There is nothing you could do for me.''
Berlin raised one of his brows as he took a step forward, trapping her between him and the desk ''Nothing?''
Refusing to be intimidated, Nairobi simply raised one of her brows in return ''Nothing.''

Berlin had to keep himself from grinning. Despite her best efforts, he could see a spark in her eyes. She might hate him, or hate the effect he was having on her but it was there. Feeling brave, he took another step forward. They were so close that he could feel her breath on his lips. He immediately knew that she wouldn't back away from him, which made this little game all the more fun. If Berlin  leaned forward just the tiniest bit he would be able to taste the womans lips. Something he realized, he wanted more than anything in this moment. Berlin bit down on his bottom lip, wishing it was hers instead.

Nairobi couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like. Having Berlin biting down on her bottom lip. Having Berlin biting down on other places. Bastard. However, two could play that game. Slowly she leaned back, slightly arching her back. Nairobi even went as far as baring her throat. Which, she noted with delight, drew his gaze downward. The fire she'd seen in his eyes before was replaced with something like...hunger. After what felt like hours Berlin lifted his gaze. Nairobi let out a gasp, she felt rooted to the spot. Without her permission her fingers found their way to his suit, slowly pulling the zipper down. The noise it made was deafening in the space between them. Once it was down far enough, both her hands sneaked inside his suit, resting on his hips. Wetting her lips she closed the last bit distance between them. There were touching from head to tow. The one bit that remained untouched were their lips. Berlins hands were on her hips, the heat of them burning through her suit, making her want them on every part of her body. One of his legs was between her own, rubbing against her. Her breast were pressed against his chest. She could feel every breath he took. Time seemed to stand still. Never once did their eyes look away. Nairobi brushed their lips together in the barest hint of a kiss.
Smirking she whispered ''On your knees.''
