Orange and Shades

Summary:

You come home from a stressful day at work and your boyfriend Bing decides to cheer you up with a bit of fun.

Work Text:

Today was a bit of a stressful day to say the least. Went to work, coworkers were being their usual selves (not that many people would care about that), I drove home and got into traffic. Pressure just boiled over now and I want to relax.

I sighed and opened up my door before going into my house and into the living room, flopping onto the couch and my face landing on a pillow. Turning over, I saw a blob of orange through my fingers. Putting them down, I saw my boyfriend, Bing. With his usual expression and his hair messed up, he was sure a sight.

“Sah Y/N, how are ya?” He leaned over the couch arm to look me straight in the eyes.

“Not right now Bing..”
“Ah, nother rough day I’m guessing” I hesitated before nodding.
“Mind if I sit down, sweetie?”

I sat up and patted the one next to me, to which he immediately plopped himself there.

“So what’s been going on today dude?” He put his hand on mine, interlocking his fingers with my own.

It took a bit to find the words, but once he gave me that goofy reassuring smile of his I got enough confidence to put them out there.

“They were so damn frustrating, I thought I presented myself well-”
“Honey, look at me. Look me right in the eyes dude. You are one helluva man, aight dude? There are normal guys, then you. You- You’re great” He chuckled a bit at the end, which made me smile.

I wrapped my arms around him tightly, which he reciprocated quickly. He’s a very soft and sweet guy inside, a side I get way more than others. He brushed some hair out of my face and kissed my forehead. My cheeks got warm and I just wanted to cover my face.

“You sure are one smooth motherfucker”
“You bet I am! And hey. Those dudes, whether anyone likes it or not, are gonna be assholes. Don’t let them treat you like any less of a cool dude, cause you are one hell of a guy,” He gave me a fistbump.

This made me laugh a bit. He always knew how to cheer me up, even if it was unorthodox to say the least. Whether it was playing my favourite games, watching my favourite shows, at my highest peaks, or even my lowest depths. He has always been there for me when I need someone.

“And those guys can take a hike?”
“Oh hell yeah they can, honey. Now, wanna do something fun?” He grinned.

“Oh yeah? Like what?”
“Watch a movie maybe? Spend some time with my favourite dude, my boyfriend, my guy? Sound fun enough for you?” He layed back, arm around me.

“At this point, I could go for anything” I said, looking at his shades with my arms over the edge of my knees.

“Go get comfy then. I won’t let you have fun without being yourself”

God I loved this man. Everything about him, even his more "annoying" traits. I may have tripped on my way up the stairs, but I laughed it off. It took a good rummaging through my drawers to find something to wear, some nice pajama pants and a sweater.

When I got back downstairs, I saw him in the kitchen making popcorn. I stepped slowly and quietly towards him before hugging him from behind. He jumped a bit before sighing of relief when looking at me.

"Scare ya?"
"No dude, not a chance!"
"Now we both know thats a lie" He sighed at this.

"Oh god I hate it when you're right sometimes...You may be a sweet peach, but you still have one helluva sour taste, honey"

"I'mma go get the couch ready, kay?" I asked, letting go of him and walking away. He gave me a thumbs-up.

I prepared the couch for the super-rad marathon we were gonna have. With some pillows, blankets, maybe a couple of stuffies and some canned drinks from our fridge, it was good-to-go!

I got super comfy and before I knew it, Bing was back with the popcorn.
"Got a movie series in mind?" He got under the pile of blankets and put the bowl in between us.
"Hmmm, maybe a horror bundle?" I don't exactly have a preference for movies. He nodded and I chose whatever was there.

The first one was some movie about investigating a murder of a famous actor with a detective by the main character's side, kind of boring really. The next was a slasher.

One of the killing scenes came on and it was rather gross, so I averted my eyes with the blankets. In the more boring parts, I may have fallen asleep a few times.. The next time I opened my eyes, Bing was asleep on my shoulder. I chuckled and fell back asleep.

Days with my boyfriend are pretty rad, much like him.
