Sleeping Beauty

Summary:

Alternate universe where Moon-jo just wants to take his drunk boyfriend home but Jae-ho is rude.

Wrote this because this fandom needs some fluff.

Work Text:

“Jong-woo my love, honey, sweetie, darling, please just help me out here.” Moon-jo wheedles, pleading and a tad frustrated, as he tries to heave his boyfriend onto his back.

Jong-woo, unhelpfully and unsurprisingly, does not help and instead continues to slump in his chair. All dead weight and no movement whatsoever. Moon-jo internally curses the creation of alcohol and the birth of all of Jong-woo’s co-workers, as he once again tries to lift his unconscious boyfriend out of his chair.

Just as Moon-jo is almost successful in hauling his completely drunk boyfriend into his back someone grabs his arm. Surprised, Moon-jo jerks back and Jong-woo slumps back into the chair. Moon-jo groans audibly.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Jae-ho asks.

Moon-jo looks up at the other man, blinking in surprise as he looks up at his boyfriend’s boss, “Taking Sleeping Beauty here home.” He replies, gesturing to Jong-woo.

Jae-ho scoffs, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll make sure he gets home.”

Moon-jo’s eyes almost roll back into his head, knowing that Jae-ho could absolutely not be trusted to get Jong-woo home. He knows that in the past Jae-ho would simply toss an unconscious Jong-woo into a taxi, give the driver some half-assed directions and continue on his way.

There was absolutely no way in hell Moon-jo was handing his darling over to him. No way.

“I think you’ve done enough for one night.” Moon-jo hisses, grabbing Jong-woo and pulling him onto his back, “We’ll be going now.”

Jae-ho steps in front of him, “No.” Jae-ho takes another step forward, crowding into Moon-jo’s face close enough for him to smell the alcohol on his breath. Jae-ho jabs a finger into Moon-jo’s chest.

“Who do you think you are? You think I’m just going to let you walk out of here?”

Moon-jo opens his mouth to reply.

Jae-ho cuts him off, “Hell no! Put him down you creep!”

Moon-jo opens his mouth once again, about to unleash an onslaught of ‘choice words’ onto the other man but before he can Ji-eun appears, seemingly out of nowhere, and grabs Jae-ho’s arm. “Oppa! What are you doing?”

Jae-ho looks affronted and gestures to Moon-jo, “This creepy dude is trying to kidnap Jong-woo!”

Ji-eun lets go of Jae-ho’s arm and rolls her eyes. Then she sighs and gestures to Moon-jo, “Oppa, I’d like you to meet Seo Moon-jo, Jong-woo’s boyfriend. You know, the boyfriend he has a picture of on his phone’s Home Screen? And the boyfriend I called and asked to pick Jong-woo up? And also the boyfriend you have literally been introduced to before?”

Jae-ho’s mouth slowly begins to form an ‘o’, at least having the grace to look a little embarrassed. Ji-eun groans again, “Oppa…. I told you to take care of Jong-woo, not get him drunk and insult his boyfriend who is doing everyone here a favor.”

Jae-ho looks at floor and Ji-eun smacks his arm, sending him a meaningful and rather scathing look. “Sorry.” Jae-ho grunts, glaring at the floor like a child who’s just been put in time-out by his mom.

Moon-jo plasters the best smile he can muster onto his face before nodding his head and speaking with a sickly sweet voice, “If that’s all, we’ll be going now.”

Ji-eun smiles apologetically at him and says, “Goodnight, sorry for the trouble.”

Moon-jo just nods back, adjusts Jong-woo on his back and starts the walk back home, feeling annoyed and tired. Despite being fairly strong, his arms were starting to hurt from carrying his boyfriend and the little spat with Jae-ho left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Just as Moon-jo huffs out an irritated sigh, Jong-woo gurgles something incoherent into his ear. Moon-jo laughs softly, frustration turning into affection for his boyfriend, despite him being knocked out cold and probably drooling all over the back of his shirt.

“We’re almost home, darling.” He replies.

After finally trekking all the way home, up the stairs, and struggling with the key to open the door to their room, Moon-jo finally deposits Jong-woo onto their bed and lets out a relieved breath.

Moon-jo hears his phone buzz and watches as multiple apology texts from Ji-eun pop up on the screen. He types a quick response assuring the girl that it’s fine and he and Jong-woo are home before sighing and lying down the bed.

Jong-woo finally stirs and looks at Moon-jo through half-open eyes, “Hyung?”

“Yes, darling?” Moon-jo replies, turning and affectionately brushing the hair out of Jong-woo’s eyes.

Jong-woo looks around sluggishly, “When did we get home?”

“Like two minutes ago.”

“Oh.” Jong-woo nods slowly, before planting an alcohol-scented kiss onto Moon-jo’s forehead and burying his face into Moon-jo’s chest. “G’night.”

Moon-jo huffs out a laugh, “Are you going to sleep with your shoes on, darling?”

“I’m sleeping with you not shoes.” Comes Jong-woo’s muffled reply. Moon-jo feels his chest began to ache with affection. He kisses the top of Jong-woo’s hair before moving, much to Jong-woo’s chagrin, to change both of their clothes.

Once having changed both of them into pajamas and getting Jong-woo to drink some water, Moon-jo settles into bed next to Jong-woo and collects the smaller man in his arms.

After a minute or two, Jong-woo speaks, “Hyung?”

“Yes, darling?”

“Sorry for being a pain.”

“You aren’t a pain…..your boss is though.”

Jong-woo snorts.

“Don’t let them coax you into drinking so much again, okay? Just come home after work.”

“Okay, hyung.”

……

“…hyung?”

“Yes, darling?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too, darling.”
