Red.
Blood poured down from the sky as Blake, stranded, desperately attempted to fight the cold that not even his jacket could shield. Everything was being covered with blood and the smell was unpleasant.
Blake got annoyed with how he couldn't really see where he was heading over to since the blood got on his glasses. It wasn't much use to wipe it away since he still couldn't see that much and him being nearsighted topped it off.
It felt like Blake wasn't heading anywhere in the endless void of blood raining. He felt so hopeless just trying to walk somewhere that would lead him to nowhere.
He sighed to himself and continued to shiver while the rain relentlessly poured onto him. The jacket that he wore continued to get stained with the rain filled with blood since no umbrella could come out of an empty void to protect him.
Blake looked up to see the setting suddenly switch over from raining blood to a snowstorm.
A building in front of Blake appeared, it was St. Sybil Catholic high school, the school he used to attend. Afterall, Blake was just really fucking cold from not only the rain, but from the snow. He decided to go inside rather than freeze to death out in the open.
Everything looked the same, just like his hallucinations from Temple gate. The school wasn't so cold like the outside, it was a relief that Blake didn't shiver so much.
He really needed to clean his glasses, especially after the whole blood rain thing. Blake felt somewhat relieved when he found one of the restrooms and cleaned his glasses which were free from blood.
Finally, he can see along with his vision not being blocked from something so horrifying.
He wandered around the school and Jessica's voice wasn't coming to Blake. Classrooms, lockers, and stairs were all there but he just couldn't hear Jessica's voice call out to him.
Blake didn't even move on from all of this, it was too hard for him to just let it go.
Blake slowly went up the stairs, although he felt somewhat frantic and began looking around him. The thought of Father Loutermilch chasing him around the school terrifies him.
His mind tends to play tricks on him and Blake's mind tricking him into thinking that Father Loutermilch chasing him is the worst trick his mind could play on him.
Blake decided to look for the music room since he remembered that him, Jessica, and Lynn would spend so much time there. The three of them were like a small group that just couldn't be separated from each other.
Although the memories that brought him joy didn't last long, his mind brought up the memory of him and Jessica staying after school that one time. Father Loutermilch found the two and Jessica was already scared of him.
Blake didn't like to remember that Jessica begged him to stay and Father Loutermilch pushed him away while he could do the worst to Jessica. Blake didn't like that he had to walk to the school exit and then run back for him to be too late to save Jessica.
Her dead body haunted him and it wasn't pleasant when he saw her on the stairs with her face all bloodied with a bruise on her broken neck or her body hanging in different places when it came to hallucinations.
Either way, it left a scar on Blake's mind and thinking about it already brings his mood down. He then remembered about the hangman pictures and how Lynn and Jessica would play hangman together.
Was the hangman wall still there?
So many things rushed around Blake's head which was too overwhelming for him to comprehend everything. He sighed to himself and stepped out of the music room to find no Father Loutermilch outside.
Blake was still cautious and kept looking around to see no one in the hallways. He began looking around for the classroom that had the projector in it.
The layout of the school was somewhat familiar to him since he always had the flashbacks. Now they just reoccur in his nightmares that constantly come back to him. It always leads to him waking up with Miles comforting him early in the morning.
It took him some time and eventually he opened up the door to the classroom to see the projector already on. The hangman picture was already there and displayed on the whiteboard.
"U N F O R G I V E A B L E"
"Yeah that sounds about right." Blake said as he read the words on the whiteboard and things slowly came back to him.
He began to remember the other hangman paper that spelled out almost all of the word strangle although two letters were still missing which were r and e.
Something just didn't feel right to Blake, he wanted to leave this place but he just couldn't bring himself to do so. Blake wanted to know if this all real or not and maybe pinching himself on the arm doesn't work out.
He walked out of the classroom to look for the restrooms but unfortunately they were locked.
Confusion quickly rose up to Blake since the last time he went to go inside the restrooms, he was able to clean off his glasses perfectly fine.
"Fuck." Blake muttered to himself.
He can't just let fear overcome him just because the restrooms were locked. Blake took a couple of deep breaths in and walked away from the restrooms to keep himself standing and worrying there.
Blake did think about how disturbing the stick figure was drawn in the hangman pictures. The stick man was always drawn with the expression of being dead and whenever others played hangman, he never saw many people give the stick figure a dead expression until it came to Lynn and Jessica.
Although he found it quite strange he was thinking about how the stick figures were being drawn, shouldn't he be worrying about something else?
Blake immediately turned around to find nothing behind him and he felt somewhat scared. He's too focused on Father Loutermilch being behind him and trying to chase him.
Well it was more of the demon who shared qualities like Father Loutermilch that tormented him. Either way, Blake was still terrified and now he can't calm himself down with some deep breaths.
His hands are shaky, he's constantly looking behind him, and flinching whenever the lockers open by themselves.
Blake wondered if he was just being paranoid or his mind was actually trying to trick him about Father Loutermilch trying to do something horrible to him.
"Lord, please give me one chance." Blake softly said as he made his way to an exit door.
Although something was stopping Blake from opening the door and he just couldn't bring himself to open it. He felt like something bad would happen if he opened it and slowly stepped away from the door.
He looked behind himself to make sure he didn't miss the steps and get injured.
Whatever it was, Blake's bad feeling about the door grew stronger to the point where he had the urge to run. He felt so scared and took the chance to run away as fast as he could to go somewhere far away.
Blake was right to run away from the door.
Looking back isn't a good thing to do and Blake couldn't help but look back to see him. He was horrified to see the demon with arms all around his body looking for Blake to do something horrible to him.
Blake was full of fear and he could've sworn he entered his fight or flight stage. He doesn't have the strength to go against the armed demon and running away is the best he can do along with hiding, considering how good his agility is.
He didn't spend his time standing around and ran around to get his way to the exit. Blake passed by the lockers opening and closing which nearly distracted him and would have alerted the armed demon he was running from.
The armed demon was getting closer and Blake was running out of breath whenever he ran as fast as he could. The adrenaline rushed through his body when he began to run again and the armed demon began to pick up his pace as well.
Blake finally saw the school's exit but things turned to hell when one of the demon's arms latched onto Blake's hand.
He was absolutely terrified.
Blake was scared for his life and the demon arms continued to latch onto him and was yelling for his life. He was twisted and turning to desperately get himself out of the armed demon's grasp.
It took him some time to finally free himself from the armed demons' terrifying grasp. Blake didn't hesitate to run straight to the school's exit and immediately leave from not only armed demon, but from the school itself.
It was lightly snowing and Blake was starting to shiver again while the armed demon did nothing but stare at him from the exit. The feeling of dread was latching onto Blake, he had no way of prying it off of himself.
Blake told himself to not look at the armed demon, it'll do nothing but scare him. It took him everything to not look back and spot the armed demon staring at him from the glass exit. A combination of fear and shivering from the snow is not something Blake favors, especially in a nightmare.
Blake was twisting and turning around in his sleep which he was pretty close to falling off the bed since he was away from Miles. He jolted awake from his nightmare that felt like it lasted for a long time.
He then took a deep breath and picked up his glasses from his nightstand. Blake put on his glasses. It was still dark outside and Blake got himself up to head over to the bathroom that was next to his room.
He turned on the lights which made him feel somewhat uncomfortable. Turning on the lights whenever Blake woke up was one of the worst feelings that he didn't enjoy and it felt like a disturbance to him for some reason.
Blake then stared at himself in the mirror and slowly touched his face. It was regular for him to do a reality check whenever he had a nightmare and that happened quite a lot.
He sighed to himself and then turned off the light in the bathroom to go back to his room.
Miles looked over to see that Blake wasn't lying with him and then looked up to see him come back. He felt concerned for Blake since he always wakes up from a nightmare early in the morning.
"Is everything okay?" Miles asked.
Blake shook his head and put his glasses back on the nightstand. He then layed down next to Miles and covered himself up with the blankets.
Blake just didn't feel like talking about his nightmares and Miles was able to pick up on this. Miles hugged Blake and he did hug him back as he held the urge to not break down.
It was hard for Blake to fight the urge and he did end up crying for a bit. Miles was there to comfort him and he didn't leave his side whenever Blake was going through a nightmare.
