“You’re staring again.”
Snapping his gaze away from you, Spike didn’t have to look to know who was talking to him. “What are you on about?!” He didn’t think he would have been caught, he tried to be discrete about it but apparently he wasn’t very good.
“You were gazing…rather longingly I might add at y/n.”
“Y/n has a pretty face why wouldn’t I.” Stopping himself Spike quickly placed a cigarette between his lips as Jet let out a loud laugh.
“I’m not sayin it’s a bad thing kid….why don’t you…ya know try asking y/n out?”
Spike scowled, the unlit cigarette dangling between his lips. “I can’t do that…then what would happen?” He could easily ignore his budding feelings for you, but he couldn’t risk losing you if you happened to fall for him.
“You only live once Spike. I think you deserve some happiness and well…for what it’s worth…y/n tends to stair at you too.”
“Huh?”
Spike didn’t get a chance to ask him what he meant by that as Jet walked away but it finally hit him once finally looked over at you.
You were giving the same longing look but once you finally noticed he was returned your look you quickly looked away, your cheeks coloring.
Chuckling, Spike stood up shoving his hands in his pockets. Maybe Jet was right, maybe he spent to much time gazing at you.
“Hey y/n? Wanna grab a drink with me?”
Blinking you weren’t sure you heard the man correctly but his gaze was still lingering on, waiting for an answer. Turning your body ,you gave Spike a soft smile. “I’d love to Spike.”
