“I hope Tsukasa doesn’t mess up your date,” Kou handed Nene a bag of plain donuts they had just finished making.
“Me too,” Nene nodded, looking in the bag and smiling gently. She blushed suddenly and glared at Kou, “And it’s not a date!”
Kou raised his eyebrow, “Are you sure?”
Nene nodded, “You wanted to make these donuts for Hanako too! It wasn’t just me!”
Kou smirked, “That was the first time. You were the one who brought up making donuts again the second time.”
“But I knew you’d agree!” Nene argued, putting her hands on her hips and turning away. “I don’t have to deal with this.”
He watched her as she left the home economics room, grinning. Finally! An actual date between senpai and the ghost!

“Yashiro!” Hanako tackled the girl, wrapping himself around her shoulders, “Yashiro!”
“Hanako-kun!” Nene tried pushing him off, “Get off!”
“Thanks for visiting me!” He hugged her head before floating back to the floor.
“I brought you something,” She held out the bag.
Hanako eyed it curiously before taking it. His golden eyes shone even brighter after looking inside. He floated excitedly, turning cartwheels in the air, “Thank you, Yashiro! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” He held the bag up in the air, “Donuts!”
“I wanted to make up for last time,” Nene looked up at him, “You know. Because your brother showed up. And the donuts….” She trailed off.
“I’m sorry about that,” his face was only a few inches from hers, “I’m really sorry for ruining all your donuts.”
“No!” Nene shook her head, grabbing his hand, “It’s okay! I hope you really like these donuts. They’re plain, homemade. The way you like them.”
Hanako blushed. He sat in the air comfortably and began biting into a donut. “Mmm!” He spun in a quick circle, “Yashiro! You have try this!” He held out the donut to her and she took a small nibble. “It’s delicious! Thank you!” He crammed the rest of the donut into his mouth, “These are the best donuts I’ve ever had!”
“You like them?” Nene didn’t know why her cheeks were hot or why her heart was pitter-pattering in her chest.
“They’re amazing, Yashiro.” He complimented. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek, leaving faint traces of sugar. He pulled away, looking at her adoringly, “Just like you.”
