A beautiful moon blessed the silencing night sky. Its light illuminated the reflections of the calm river. Jiang Yanli stood at the edge of the river, rocking the child in her arms. Her child was given the name Jin Ling. When he came into her world, it was unlike anything she had felt. She felt a bit terrified: would she be a good mother for her? Was she ready? Now she knew. Nobody was ready to be a parent. It was something you had to discover for yourself and she did, she found it difficult but she didn't want to give up. For his sake, she moved forward and look at them, she was smiling. Every time she looked at him, the only thing she felt was love.
Jiang Yanli laid him in his crib and started to sing his favorite lullaby.
My sweet child, you are so full of wonder
Close your eyes
Mommy is with you, always and forever
When tomorrow comes
I'll see your gentle eyes and you see mine
Let's stay together, make dear memories
Sleep now, my everything
"Lovely dreams, Jin Ling." She looked it at him one more time and gave him a kiss to his forehead before she retired to her slumber.
