December 7th
“Happy holidays everyone!” Gingerbrave cheered on top of the castles archway, Wizard and Strawberry cut the rope to the large building, allowing everyone to come in.
The castle was decorated head to toe with lights, Christmas decorations, and a whole lotta red and green.
“Thanks for the help Mister Espresso, your levitation magic really made this place look more enchanting” The young gingerbread cookie smiled as he walked towards the mage, he glanced up to look at the candles and lights that where floating in the air.
“Yes, it was no problem, please tell me to get them down afterwards though, their a fire hazard.”
“Yeah! Uh huh!…..Wait.. fire hazard?!”
“I’m just messing with you, happy holidays Gingerbrave” The mage chuckled as the younger sighs in relief, nodding him off as the other cookie waved a goodbye to go and hang out with his group of friends.
Ah,how he enjoyed Christmas, though, most Christmas(s?) he stayed at home working on projects, it’s not like he liked the holiday for the festivities, he just enjoyed the peace and quiet.
“‘Spresso!”
Aaaand now its ruined.
“How In earthbread did you manage to find me at the back of the castle” the coffee mage sighed in exasperation. The knight just smiled and shrugged.
“Whatever, what do you need, I have a tight schedule”
“We both know that’s not true, you’re just standing here with a cup of coffee afterall!”
Espresso looked around and groaned, he has no other excuse, all he can do now is listen to this obnoxious knights blabbering for one or two more hours about something completely irrelevant.
This annoying ass knight
With his annoying ass voice
And his annoying dumbass cute face
And his annoying way of caring for the mage and comforting him whenever he’s under the weather or ill.
And how he protects him in battle and always makes sure he’s safe..
And the stupid way his touch lingers on Espressos skin after he hugs him
And how he feels oh so safe when the knight is near
What?
Espresso could of sworn it just got extremely hot out here in negative 10 degrees weather.
And what was Madeleine talking about?
“And then! He fell into the river! So I had to jump into it and save the poor boy!”
Why is his heart beating so fast?
“But he was already being pushed down the rushing water!”
…
“I swam after him! As fast as I could!”
Madeleine…
“After a few seconds of panic I finally caught up to him!”
He needs to shut up.
Before the mage knew what he was doing he pulled the knights collar in and kissed him roughly, a surprise gasp came from the taller.
The mage breathed in the warm smell of vanilla, letting go of his collar and wrapping both arms around his neck.
It felt so right, so comforting, yet.. so wrong
He was only brought back to his senses when he felt a large hand wrap around his waist, with that he pulled away immediately.
“My apologizes… I don’t know what overcome me, please excuse my actions” he panicked, the knight is probably disgusted, he probably hates him now, he-
“No worries sunshine, but, it’s improper etiquette to not finish what you’ve started isn’t it?”
And with that, chapped lips met his once more and he was pulled into a rough kiss.
It’s also improper to have a make our session outside in the snow at a public party but don’t tell him.
