Work Text:
A tap, and two, and three. Marius von Hagen sighs at the empty hall, his purple eyes glancing over the door in a search for a sign of his lover. The young man looks at his watch then, trying not to let the tears fall from his eyes.
A drip, and two, and three. Marius is silent as he cries, his feet bringing himself to the door, ready to leave. He wipes his tears away, grimacing at how wet his sleeve is now.
A knock, and two, and three. Marius stills on his place, his heart beating so fast he could almost swear it's going to jump out off his chest. He doesn't move from where he stands, his eyes shining with hope.
A creaking sound could be heard from the way the door opened, and there enters Artem Wing, his usual composure gone as he slowly walks into the hall, catching his breath. Marius tries so hard not to grin stupidly at his lover.
"Marius," Artem starts, and Marius listens.
"I apologize for the delay. I hope I'm not too late?"
The apology made it all worth while, Marius decided, as he closes the distance between them to place his head on Artem's shoulder. He can feel Artem tenses for a split second, before relaxing. Not a moment later, a warm hand is on Marius' head, caressing his purple locks gently.
Marius smiles to himself, nuzzling into Artem's neck, inhaling the smell of the cologne left behind. He left a trail of kisses down the older man's neck, fluttering butterflies in his stomach when Artem blushes prettily. He pulls away then, already missing the warmth his lover has.
"Shall we get started, then?"
He offers his hand, in which Artem gracefully accepted.
Marius leans down to kiss on Artem's hand, a satisfied smile on his handsome face. This waltz is going to be worth it.
