The world seemed to be asleep at such an early hour, only the honking of cars were heard in the distance
Sometimes he thought about wearing headphones for his runs, but he didn’t like the idea to not hear his surroundings or possible, approaching footsteps.
As Neil made his way to the room he shared with Kevin, Nicky and Andrew, he got a glimpse of a familiar figure, leaning carelessly in the doorway. Without noticing, his footsteps quickened and then stopped, as he was an arms length away from hazel eyes, glancing back at him with a tedious expression.
“You forgot something,”Andrew said, his gaze falling on Neil’s right hand for a second, before he pushed himself up and strolled inside the apartment.
Neil stared at the spot where Andrew’s eyes had lingered on only seconds before, frowning in confusion. “Was I supposed to call?”
He could feel Andrew rolling his eyes, even though his head was turned away from him, back facing Neil, who had to resist the urge to press himself against him.
“I told you to leave the ring here when you’re going on runs. Rabbits lose stuff quickly, did you know?”
Neil’s mouth quirked at the corner as he rounded Andrew, carefully leaning closer, always without a single touch.
He looked at Andrew intently, his eyes holding a thousand unspoken promises.
“I’m not going to lose it.”
Andrew leaned in too, breathing out as Neil breathed in.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Josten.”
This bothered Neil more than he wanted to admit, but he kept his voice calm and firm as he repeated,” I’m not going to lose it.”
Andrew stared at him for a second.
Then he shrugged and took a step back, looking Neil up and down with a studied gaze before walking back into the bedroom where Kevin’s irresistible snoring expanded from.
Neil was left standing there, perplexed and unsure if he just got a sex invitation, or if Andrew wanted to look at his hidden dick for fun.
