Hinata POV:
First day of high school and I didn’t think I would see a familiar face, especially if it was him. ~
I was just getting my memories back of my sibling and I and our adventures in Narnia and all our family and friends, it really put me in a funk for a month after remembering not knowing when I would see my family again. It really shocked my current family as from my past memories of my current life I was a really happy kid, I couldn’t exactly explain my situation so I tried making excuses that I don’t think anyone would believe half of it. I had entered the gym and saw him with two other males, and I froze in shock, not knowing what to do as I saw a boy he remembered facing the previous year. We didn’t get to talk much before our senpais found us, but there was something about one of them that seemed familiar. I wasn’t so sure until I saw him winked at me, WINKED I was close to freaking out until the one of the boys started talking. And that was the end of that.
We were challenged to a practice match against the other two first years and one of the senpais to test our skills out without a lot of negotiating and compromises me and Kageyama managed to work together and with Tanaka to be able to beat the other team.
I learned a lot from my senpais and managed to improve in my volleyball skills, I noticed that we were missing some positions on the team and asked Suga-san, he explained that one had quit the team due to personal reasons and the other was suspended.
It took another few weeks for me to actually talk to him by then I was sure I knew who he was, but it wasn’t until break between their practice , he managed to corner him,
“{Redacted}? Is that really you?” he asked almost fearing it might not be.
The other just smiled, “how’d you know?”
“I don’t really know it’s just a feeling,” I shrugged.
“Very well, it is I {redacted},” they said in return.
“Have you seen any of the others?” I tried again.
“I’ve seen them yes, but it seems that they still hadn’t gotten their memories so I decided to leave them be, you know you’re the to remember? I hopeful that the other will remember ”
“Oh…” I said sadly.
“Don’t worry too much, if you remember too that means they will too. So just wait for them yes? We better get back,” they said while turning back to walk back to the gym.
“{Redacted}?” I tried before we entered the gym.
“Yes?”
“Thanks.”
“Of course.”
And they walked back to the gym in silence, upon questioning they just answered that he needed tips on volleyball even though he knew enough, but the others seem to buy it.
It didn’t take long for me to meet another familiar face…

Hinata got off the bus to the Aoba Johsai where they had the first match of the year, one of Japan’s powerhouses Aoba Johsai. As he got off the bus he felt like something would happen, he had a fair idea of what but he didn’t want to get his hopes up. He glanced briefly at {redacted} but got a smile in return, he turn away and followed his team mates to the school.
He saw two members of a school that seems to be Aoba Johsai walking up the same walkway seemingly in deep convo, one of them seemed familiar but he wasn’t sure if it was from his days in Narnia or from his current life.
He turned back to the others as they loaded off the bus, he went to help and grab his stuff as well. He saw three of his team mates take the lead and started talking to the other school members but they eventually caught up.
They finally entered the gym and saw the rest of the Host school warming up in the gym, they greeted each other. Hinata took a quick trip to the washrooms to get rid of some nerves before the match but saw the same two that were outside when they arrived still having a conversation. They tried so convince him of Kageyama still having the same attitude as middle school but he didn’t let it deter him, Hinata then remembered where he saw one of them he faced them in Middle school. But pretended to be intimidated and was saved from further goading from Tanaka then all of them returned to the court to get ready for the game.
Hinata tried to calm himself down from his nervousness but his team mates weren’t helping with their commentary, it wasn’t a good play as he kept getting in the way of his team mates and it didn’t help him in any way when it was his turn to serve.
Aoba Johsai won the first set as they were clumsy and kept making mistakes, Kageyama had a talk with Hinata to try and get his head in the game. He got another pep talk from Tanaka which seemed to lift his spirits a bit.
Then it was the second set, they seemed to improve a bit but had a rocky start. But managed to get a point in, he lost himself and forgot his role on the team but managed, they called for break and gathered themselves for the next round. It was a close points for the rest of the game, he couldn’t shake the feeling from earlier but he still didn’t know why.
They team won their current set and took a short break, but Kageyama warned that the setter that they faced wasn’t the main one that was used, the point was proven when they heard cheering behind them. Kageyama’s widened when he saw a new person was among the Seijoh team, Hinata narrowed his eyes in thought when we saw a tall player in a Seijoh track suit chatting with the other teams coach, the player was named Oikawa. He narrowed his eyes at the player thinking that his aura seemed familiar.
Kageyama gave some info on him when asked as he seemed the only one to know more about the new player than the rest of the team. Hinata widened his eyes when he saw Oikawa turn to greet Kageyama like an old friend, he turned slightly to {redacted} in surprised and saw them nod and shook his head. He sighed as he figured out the silent message signaled to him, that he was one of them but he hasn’t yet recovered his memories. He missed his siblings but he knew one day they would reunite, he just had to be patient; he rose an eyebrow when he saw the little exchange between Oikawa and Kageyama. They played a bit and warned a few points and were almost at the wining point when Oikawa entered the court and targeted one of his team mates and did an analysis of them. From there everything went downhill, Seijoh kept winning until by chance they managed to win. They finished the match that day in good spirits and on mostly good terms, Hinata noticed that there seemed to be an undercurrent tension between the four that were in the same middle school but he couldn’t put a finger on it.
They did receive some ‘advice’ from the Seijoh captain on their way out but it didn’t seem to deter their captain as he had pointed out that they were still a few members short, and that the team guardian would be back by the time the two teams meet again for an official match.
~Meanwhile~
As he finished up his work at the gym, Oikawa couldn’t help but feel like he was missing something. The feeling stronger when he was looking at the two members of their opponents that day, despite his encounter with his former kohai he couldn’t get the other two off his mind for the rest of the night.
Who really is Hinata and Oikawa? And who is the mysterious upperclassman and what do all three of them have
