The knock sounded loud and urgent. Daniel dropped the shirt he was about to don and rushed to answer it. Flinging the door open he found Vala grinning mischievously. His eyes did a quick scattered inventory to be absolutely sure there was no horrific emergency. Nope. She was wrapped in a satin robe – barely a millimeter thick - clung to every, every curve, indention, rise, dip, hollow...everything.
"Oh, lucky timing for me! The elusive shirtless Daniel. Anyway, darling. You asked me out on a date... again and thank you very much, but you forgot to tell me where and I was so excited I forgot to ask so I have absolutely no idea what to wear...and that's that."
Sometimes there was something about her body that stole his every thought, word, action. When she wore something particularly clinging, or scant, he'd have a flashback...the Prometheus, peeling that damned Super-soldier suit painstakingly slowly off of her. And the images would flash like some paparazzi frenzy illuminating the fact that there was not as much as a piece of lint under it and the damned thing clung as if it had been glued to her thereby revealing that soft, luminous, pale skin inch by grueling inch.
"Daniel?"
"Hmm?" He was in the middle of said remembrance, eyes unwittingly mapping every curve, indention, rise, dip, hollow...everything.
If he'd been a bit more sane, paid a tad bit more attention, he would have realized Vala was, in fact, very much enjoying the view of his naked chest. "Where?" She took a deep breath and slowly, loudly let it out. "You know, since we are both halfway to naked, we could skip the date, remove the rest of our..."
"Oh! Er. Uh...sure. I...I mean. Ah, what?"
"Where are we going for our date?"
"Sushi."
"Alright," Vala nodded, "that's a start. Nice sushi or sit on a stool and drink sake sushi?"
"Then...meet up with...er...for …" Obviously Daniel had forgotten that he was not only shirtless but that his jeans were only half zipped.
Her eyes dropped as she licked her lips. "Such a pity. Alright, meeting the gang? Does it require sparkly? Dressy? Comfy? Or nothing at all?"
"Okay."
She gave him a huge smile. "Alright, sort of comfy dressy. I do so hate to leave our little mutual admiration party, but I need to finish my hair and a few other things."
"Huh?"
"Shut the door, Daniel."
Vala stopped halfway to her room realizing that she hadn't heard his door shut. She turned slowly to find that Daniel stood with one hand on his door and the other one pointing inside his room towards his bed.
"Oh," She whispered as she slowly approached. "I see we are a bit overdressed."
Once she got close, Daniel lightly but firmly grasped her wrist and all but slung her into his room. The door slammed shut, the security lock clicked. "Don't." he said when she grasped the tie to her satin robe. "I'll take care of that." Then he gently shoved her onto the bed. At that point he pulled his phone out of the back pocket and sent a group message. "Don't wait for us." Then tossed the phone aside, and opened her robe.
He stood as if frozen for what seemed a very long time. His gaze wandering.
"Daniel? Do you need help?" She teased.
"In a minute."
"What!"
"Not sure where I want to start." Slowly he fully unzipped his jeans and stepped out of them.
"Excellent choice."
Daniel crawled over her onto the bed stopping when his mouth lingered over her moist lips.
Vala took a deep breath, "Are you going to kiss me?"
"Everywhere."
"Grrrr."
