Chapter Text
"David! David, please wait!" Kim hissed, trying to stop him from interrupting the dinner at the five-star restaurant, where as the night progressed Julia became quite tipsy, but that was no wonder, because Rob just kept her drinking all night long…
"But why should I wait? I can't understand what's the point in waiting at all…"
"I just don't want you to do something stupid, okay?"
"You really can't see what's going on here?!"
"She just have a good time that's all, she's fine!"
"How you mean she's fine?!" he asked with disbelief, "That bastard makes her drinking since we've arrived!"
"But it's not our business, David! We're here to protect her life and not to judge her decisions."
"You know what? I don't care what is my business or not, but I can't watch this any longer!" he stood up vehemently, when she grabbed his arm.
"David, please wait…"
"How long do you want me to wait? Until he rape her right here on the top of the dinner table or what?"
"Oh come now!"
"Just don't say that, okay? You didn't see how much he tried last time!"
"David…"
"I won't let him to do this…" he hissed and stepped to the table, "Excuse me, ma'am! But I think it's really time to go home…"
"What are you fussing about, bedtime is here or what?" asked Rob mockingly, but David just continued to Julia,
"I think you've already drank enough, ma'am."
"…"
"Who the fuck are you?! Just sit back and wait, that's your job after all," continued Rob then he started laughing, "Or maybe you're just too hungry, right?… I can order you something if you want, no problem, I guess the McDonald's will be already closed when you'll get home."
"You bastard…" remarked Julia with disgust, but it was too quiet as she was just taking a sip.
"No, but thank you, sir." answered David calmly. "And in return I have a tip for you… it doesn't matter how much wine you try to drink with her, she will faint sooner than you could take her to bed," said David and she just burst out in laughing,
"I think you're right… I should really go home now," she finally found her voice and tried to stand up, but actually a bit too quickly, so David had to catch her at the last moment, keeping her balance…
"Don't bother with him, just stay and drink a little more…" Rob smirked, but as he tried to reach the wine bottle David grabbed his arm…
"If you'll try to refill her glass again, I'll break your arm… sir."
"I guess that's what they call a final word," chuckled Julia as she was ready to go.
"But you can't go home yet, the night is still so young, come on just sit back…"
"This date is over… next one is starting," she smiled and took David's arm, leaving a very pissed off Rob alone… outside the dining area David offered his help on the stairs, but she was too light headed about this topic, until she realized her steps are not so sure for all those high stairs…
"David…" she called for him and he turned back, "Could you…"
"Yes, of course." he smiled and took her arm, keeping her safe on their way down… on the street the air was cool and refreshing, what she enjoyed so much. It was such a relief to breathe in some oxygen filled night air after those many glasses of wine…
"Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah, just please give me a few minutes… this air feels so good."
"Of course, just take your time." he nodded understandingly, when he was already hearing Rob's voice from behind, "I can't believe it…"
"Can I give you a lift, Julia? You just ran away, so I couldn't even offer to take you home…" Rob tried one last time, but it was not a wise idea, because David turned around abruptly,
"What the hell do you think of yourself?!" he asked angrily and grabbed Rob's shirt, "Listen to me, because I won't tell it again… if you dare to go near her or call her or just…"
"David! David, please don't!" Kim ran over to stop him.
"…"
"Just leave him, okay?"
"…"
"David…"
"Right…" he sighed with resignation, "But make sure he goes home!"
"Of course I'll take care of that, don't worry…" nodded Kim, feeling relief that he finally let him go, so before anything would have happened she quickly waved a cab and pushed him into the car… seeing them disappearing made David relaxed, so he took a deep breath and went back to Julia, who was still waiting next to her ministerial car to get some fresh air,
"So are you feeling any better now?" he asked gently, touching her back to comfort her.
"Yes, thank you. I think I'm much better, but would you mind if we would take a walk? I think this cool night air helps me a lot."
"Sure, then Tom will follow us with the car…" he agreed and motioned to Tom as they started walking slowly on the empty street, what this time of the day bathed in cosy yellow light…
"Hey, what is it?" he chuckled, catching her on staring in front of her and just smiled.
"I just… " she looked up at him, "I just wanna say thanks."
"Thanks for what?"
"For taking me out from there… I guess you just arrived at the right time." she added, but suddenly she missed a step, so David had to catch her again, "Oh, thanks…" she chuckled on her clumsiness, when he stopped them worriedly,
"Gosh, your hands are ice-cold!"
"Really?…" she asked a bit puzzled, just looking at him with those big brown eyes.
"Yes, you're freezing, don't you feel it?"
"Not really… but maybe just about the alcohol."
"Yeah I think so, anyway you need something to warm you up, so here you are…" he quickly took off his jacket and gently put it around her shoulder. The cosy warm feeling immediately surrounded her and not just about his jacket, but about his arm around her…
"Thank you," she smiled lovingly. "It feels just wonderful…"
"Yeah, they say that's how women feel in my arms."
"And now I'm pretty sure of that," she chuckled, just enjoying his closeness. "Gosh, what a night! Two dates in one day…"
"Two dates?" he asked with a grin, could not decide she was just joking or not.
"Yes, walking on the street at night in a handsome man's jacket with his arm around my shoulder, I think it definitely seems like a date."
"You know that I have to keep you in safe no matter what," he smiled as he stroked her arm lovingly, "Even if it means from those bastards like your ex-husband or Rob…" her answer was a grateful smile, then she just took a deep breath, her voice was guilty,
"I… I know I shouldn't have stayed," she looked up at him. "But I was so hungry…"
"It doesn't matter why you have stayed, he shouldn't have made you drinking."
"Gosh…" she suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?"
"That you haven't eaten anything all day long… we have to get you some dinner!"
"No problem I'm fine, really."
"Of course you're not! You have to eat something… and I guess me too, because I need something to absorb this large amount of alcohol I drank." she remarked, then suddenly spotted a familiar neon sign down the street. "Fish and chips! That's simply perfect, trust me you'll love it!"
"Okay…" agreed David with a smile, when she wanted to change direction, "But where are you going now?"
"I just left my wallet in the car, just a sec…"
"Hey, what kind of a date where ladies pays for dinner, hm?" he asked as he stopped her, then she just answered cheekily,
"Oh, so then it's a date now?"
"But of course, it's definitely a date, so come on…" he winked and led them to the well known smell's direction…
OOOOOOOOOO
"Look at that!" cried the older man behind the counter as they stepped in, "My loveliest customer is finally here!"
"Uhm, so do you come here often?" David turned to her with a questioning look on his face.
"Well, actually yes… quite often." she bit her lip as she stepped closer to the counter. "I can't resist, best place in town."
"Lovely words from a lovely lady."
"We're actually on a date." she added sweetly and David's heart skipped a beat.
"On a date, really? While I'm still waiting for my turn, okay never mind…" added the man with a sigh and David could not resist to ask,
"Just from curiosity, how long have you been waiting?"
"Actually…" he was deep in thought, "I think at least for seven years, yes that's right exactly seven years."
"Wow, that's a pretty long time!"
"Yeah, it's almost like a real marriage, right?" winked the man at Julia, then added, "So the usual?"
"Yes, two for take away."
"Yours is free, of course…" he winked, "But for the young man the price is double."
"Okay," chuckled David pulling out his wallet, then he turned to Julia, "And what would you like to drink?"
"Uhm no need, thanks. You know, I have a bottle of wine at home, so…"
"Wine?"
"Well…" she knew he was right. "I mean, please add a bottle of water then."
"Gas or no gas?"
"No gas, thank you."
"And a peach flavored water for me," added David.
"Peach flavored, really?" she chuckled.
"You don't know what you miss until you've tried."
"Okay, then I want the peach flavored too."
"You won't regret it, I promise."
"Here you are…" said the man, then changed to a more serious voice, "And I really hope I do not have to say to take care of her!"
"It goes without saying…" nodded David, losing himself in her eyes for a moment, whispering, "Always…" then he just smiled and turned back to pay, but as he finished she was already outside, "Hey, I've thought you ran away…"
"And do you think I would leave all the food behind?" she teased him, drinking a bit from the water. "Hm, it's pretty good actually… strong flavor, I like it."
"I think peach flavor is a perfect match with fish and chips," he chuckled when she suddenly froze.
"Shit, we've bought fish…"
"Uhm, we were in a fish and chips shop, so I don't know what should I say to that…" he chuckled.
"But it's a date… so what will be about the kiss in the end?"
"…" David tried to process what he had just heard, but she was faster,
"No problem… then we're gonna kiss first!" she smiled and pulled him into a nearby doorway, kissing him right there without any hesitation. David was so surprised that when he began to wonder - that with kissing her - he was taking advantage on her or not, she already filled his senses… her sweet peach flavored lips and the way she snuggled up to him… he felt he couldn't stop kissing her, only Tom's tooting took him back to reality. Fortunately the man behind the steering wheel didn't see much, because they were in a dark corner and David's back hid them from the outside world…
"I think that's for us…" smiled David as he slowly broke the kiss, still holding his head against hers, stroking her face lovingly,
"Yeah, what a shame indeed…" she added sweetly, feeling a bit dizzy from his closeness, when Tom hit the horn again,
"Just a minute!" cried David, turning back a bit.
"We should really go Skip, it's getting late."
"Yeah, I know, but I think it's better if she won't puke in the car, right?"
"Okay…"
"Hey, what are you doing?" asked David, turning back to Julia with a smile, who splashed a bit from her water to the ground as if she would have been puking, "How crafty, I like it…" he grinned and couldn't resist to leaned in and kissed her again, just one last time before he would had to let her go… and despite this kiss lasted only for a moment, they still felt as if the world had stopped spinning… after Julia regained her senses, she just passed the bottle with a chuckle, waiting for a few seconds before she could step out, "I feel much better now, thank you… so I think we can go home."
"Certainly, this way ma'am…" smiled David and helped her into the car, "I'm sitting back, Tom… just in case if she'd need help," he explained, while she was just happy to hear it. The journey was definitely pleasurable for both of them, because she took the opportunity to pretend sleeping and laid her head down on his shoulder, enjoying his closeness, while his arm was around her waist all way long, just to keep her safe… and close enough, of course.
When they arrived Julia was already half asleep, but David successfully woke her up,
"Ma'am, it seems we've arrived…"
"…"
"Ma'am?…" he tried again softly, when she opened her eyes.
"Are we there yet?"
"Yes, we've just arrived. Can you walk on your own or I can take you upstairs if you want?" he asked with a smile, but before she could agree to take her to his arms, Tom cut in…
"If you'll take her, then I'll help with the food and the doors," he remarked and Julia immediately responded,
"No need, thanks. I'm… I'm fine, really."
"Yeah, Tom. You can go home, we'll manage it." added David quickly, helping her out of the car.
As they reached her flat on the first floor, after a little clumsiness she successfully opened the door and while he took out all the food and drinks, she just kicked down her shoes and curled up on the sofa,
"Could you bring in some plates and a fork for me?" she asked on a sleepy voice, decided to rest her head on the pillow, just for a single moment… but when he got back, she was already sleeping. David just smiled, then put down everything on the table and took her in his arms carefully, trying not to wake her up and carried her to bed. He was never been in her bedroom before, but he found everything quite quickly and covered her with a soft and fluffy blanket. After she was in safe and warm, he prepared a big glass of water and some aspirin to her nightstand, then he put a plastic bowl right next to her bed… just in case.
For a moment or two, he didn't know what to do… just hesitated between leaving or not, but in the end he decided it's obviously better to stay with her, if she wakes up and needs something… that was the thoughtful thing to do, after all it was his duty to keep her safe and absolutely not because he was just dying to be with her…
So after he decided he'll stay, he just switched on the night lamp and sat down on the sofa with his dinner, realizing she was absolutely right about the fish and chips… it was the best he has ever eaten, hot, spicy and was covered with some crispy batter, simply perfect not to mention that he was literally starving… he could easily eat both boxes, but he rather put her part into the fridge, just in case if she would wake up and feel hungry…
Finishing with the food, he just laid down on the sofa, thinking of all the things what happened that day, from the anger and jealousy he felt in the restaurant until the sweetest kiss he's ever had… he couldn't decide she was just too drank or that was how she really felt, but there was one thing he was absolutely sure of… that if he has the slightest chance to be with her, he has to find out how she truly feels about him…
The night was cosy and quiet, both of them was sleeping peacefully, but after a few hours of rest she woke up on feeling thirsty… opening her eyes she immediately realized the dim light filtering from the living room and the big glass of water on her nightstand… as she wanted to sit up she accidentally kicked into the plastic bowl, but a warm smile appeared on her face, knowing that he takes care of her even in her sleep… after she finished with the water she went to refill her glass and on her way through the living room, she realized that David was sleeping calmly on her sofa… for a few seconds she just watched him and that cosy warm feeling filled her up as always when she was near him, she bit her lip as she was thinking about last night's events… she was awfully hungry, that's why she had stayed at the restaurant first… but as time went by, she could clearly saw the tiny little signs of jealousy on David's face… and she couldn't resist, she had to know if it was real or not, so she kept drinking, but she was far not that drunk as she may had been seen… it was like when you are sleeping and you perfectly know it's only a dream so you can do whatever you want without consequences… and everything what happened after that, was wonderful… his arms around her, his closeness and that kiss in the hidden corner of the street… it was all wonderful and he was still there… so she just took out an extra blanket from the wardrobe, covering him gently and as she went back to sleep she couldn't stop smiling, because against any odds, it felt so right to be with him…
OOOOOOOOO
Next morning as she woke up he was already in the kitchen, making some coffee in an uplifted mood…
"Good Morning…" she smiled sleepily as he turned around, just watching her lovingly for a few moments…
"You know, you're beautiful in the morning as well…" he remarked kindly and handed her a cup of coffee, what she accepted with a grateful smile.
"Thanks, but I… I feel like I'm still in pieces."
"But you do not seem so," he smiled. "So how did you sleep? Any headache?"
"No, everything is fine. Thanks to that water you left on my nightstand."
"That reminds me, do you have any ideas about who put that blanket on me?" he teased her and she just chuckled.
"Sorry, but I have no idea at all…" she answered cheekily and sipped a bit from her coffee, "Sleep well?"
"Yeah, absolutely. It was quite a night."
"Uhm, yes… I've just wanted to say that how sorry I'm about last night."
"…"
"I mean I'm sure I told you so many stupid things."
"No, absolutely not, you don't have to worry."
"Just because I don't remember too much…" she added nonchalantly, hoping he won't spot she's not telling the truth.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I had a serious black out."
"Then you probably won't even believe me if I would say that we had kissed yesterday."
"Yeah, sure!" she started laughing, "Nice trying, sir…"
"What a shame you can't remember, because it was not a forgettable thing at all."
"Really?" she kept playing, "Then tell me, what was that 'kiss' like?"
"Wonderful… sweet… amazing and totally unforgettable."
"I'm glad to hear that…" she chuckled, and started to feel those butterflies in her stomach. "What is it?" she asked, because his expression suddenly changed as he was listening his earpiece.
"Shit…"
"What?" she asked as David stepped to the window.
"That bastard is here."
"Oh, I totally forgot about Rob, I'll have a meeting with him at nine."
"On Saturday and in your flat…" he murmured without thinking, then he added. "Sorry, I did't mean it like that…"
"No, it's okay. You know, sometimes I have to work on weekends too, but probably I shouldn't meet with him in my own home… maybe that's why I can't get rid of him."
"He is a bastard, that's the reason, but you have to know that there's a sure solution to stop him."
"Really?" she asked, concentrating hard.
"Yes, you just need a…"
"Need what?"
"You just need another man, that's all."
"Are you serious?" she started laughing. "Because it's just as easy as that, I can't even go to public anymore and I'll just find a man as a snap, of course."
"You don't have to go anywhere, I can be that man if you want…" he grinned, then he added quickly, "But just if you're okay with it."
"Would you… would you really play the role?" she asked, but it wasn't what he really meant it, 'playing'… he would rather be a real man in her life, but if he can be with her this way, then let it be…
"Of course, no problem."
"But I really don't want you to lose your job…"
"Look, I don't care about that, so you don't have to worry." he smiled, then added. "But maybe it's not a wise thing to do in your position… you know, it would be a huge scandal if it would turn out."
"Oh, Rob would never tell it to anyone. First, he would not be able to admit that he had lost… and second, his payment is so high, that he would rather cut his tongue first."
"So if you're okay with it, then…" he grinned.
"Yeah, sure." she nodded with a cheeky smile, "Let the game begin…"

"Oh, he's already here… could you please open the door?" asked Julia a bit confused as they heard the doorbell ringing, "I think I have to change first…"
"Sure, no problem." nodded David, seeing she's still hesitating.
"But you okay with it?"
"…"
"I mean to start this whole thing alone…"
"Are you kidding with me?" chuckled David, "I simply can't wait for that!"
"Great, then I'll be back in a few minutes…" she smiled, while he just watched her disappearing in her bedroom. It didn't matter it was just a game, but the feeling 'she belonged to him' was still fantastic, so he took a deep breath and went to open the door, trying not to punch Rob in the face as a start…
"What an unpleasant surprise!" remarked David with a grimace as he was face to face with that bastard again.
"I can't believe it…" he rolled his eyes with a sigh, "Are you everywhere I go?"
"That's exactly what I wanted to ask, are you everywhere I go?"
"Well, you know this problem would be easily solved if you would quit your job, just saying…" he smirked, "But tell me one thing, what time did you have to get up to arrive earlier than me? I bet that shitty neighborhood you live in is not here on the corner, right?"
"At least I don't ride a bike…" answered David as an instant, and he really hit home this time as Rob began to lose his patience,
"That's what they call a sporty lifestyle!"
"Yeah, sure!" laughed David, "Anyway, thanks for your concern, but as a matter of fact I just woke up a few minutes ago…" he grinned, but Rob thought he was just joking,
"Good, then you could let me in finally! I really have no time for this…"
"And why on earth would I do that?" asked David confidently, leaning against the door frame.
"Because you're just a pitiful nobody, who works for us? You know, some people has real work to do."
"Seriously… you never give up?" asked David then they were just staring at each other.
"I don't know what you're talking about…"
"You know, no one believes that after sixteen hours of work every single day, there's more left for weekends too. We both know you just want to be alone with Julia to sleep with her!"
"Believe me, what I want from her is nothing to do with sleeping…" he smirked, when David grabbed his shirt, "Julia!…I've just arrived!" yelled Rob quickly, what sounded no different than ridiculous.
"I'm coming in a minute! Why don't you sit down in the meantime?" answered Julia from her bedroom.
"See? She's been waiting for me…" added Rob smugly and David stepped aside with disgust to let him in, "And now, you can finally fuck off! Since I'm here, we don't need you."
"First of all, fortunately you're not the one who'll decide this… and secondly, those bastards like you are the reasons women need security indoors too."
"Look at that, how funny you are!" he remarked mockingly as he started to unpack his things in the living room. "Anyway what the hell are you doing here on Saturday too? Weekends are not service time if I'm correct, you want to collect rewards or what?"
"I don't think I need them… after all I got all of my rewards last night."
"…"
"I hope everything is okay here," Julia stepped out smiling, couldn't stand to change her clothes to a sexy nightgown with a half-opened robe on it, just to hit back a bit for last night… and it worked perfectly as the two men just watched her, both lost in his own thoughts for a few seconds… she was sexy and beautiful, and she was fully aware of it. She really enjoyed her effect on them - for different reasons of course - but it didn't really matter… "I need a few more minutes to get ready, but you should really start it without me…" she advised, then turned to David now, "Do you know where I put my coffee?"
"Of course, here it is… and I added a little honey and cream, just as you like it." flirted David, what got Rob's attention.
"Thanks, that's so sweet of you." she accepted it with a grateful smile, when David pointed towards the living room,
"How long is this gonna take?"
"Uhm, maybe an hour or so… or as you always say, can't say for certain," she added and they exchanged a knowing smile, then David continued on a sad voice,
"Right, if you have to work there's not much to do… but don't forget that you promised Saturday would be mine."
"…" Rob just watched them with opened mouth.
"I know and I'm so sorry," she said guilty, just stroking David's face kindly. "We'll try to hurry, but I'll make it up for you later, I promise."
"Sorry, but have I missed something?" asked Rob, who wasn't able to watch this anymore.
"How you mean it?" asked Julia nonchalant, sipping a bit from her coffee.
"What is between you two?"
"I thought it's evident after what happened last night," Julia pretended she didn't understand.
"…"
"I mean it was quite a fight… at least what I remember from it." she added quickly, glancing at David with a cheeky smile.
"So you two are… together?" asked Rob with disbelief, it physically hurt to ask something like that.
"Yes, of course."
"How you mean 'of course'?! You've known him for only a month for heaven's sake!" cried Rob.
"No, actually that's not true… we've known each other for quite a long time."
"That's right, we've met on a conference abroad…" David improvised to continue, but the other man protested immediately,
"No way! I was on every single conference with her, so it's impossible…" but before David would have realized that he couldn't summon a reply, Julia got well out of the situation,
"Yeah, on every conference and what about the one in Brussels this spring, hm?"
"Oh…"
"So as I started, we met on this conference," added David confidently. "I was defending a dickhead politician in those days, who spent every night with a new call girl in his suite… and speaking about dickhead politicians, I must say he looked quite similar to you…"
"David," she touched his arm to stop him, but she also enjoyed it so much.
"Sorry… so I just wanted to say that I had a lot of free time and one night I decided I'll drink something at the bar downstairs, but when I passed the hallway, I spotted an open conference room with only a few people and a pretty fine buffet table in it…"
"Catching some leftover, how pitiful and shameless at the same time."
"Uh, it hurts so much…" remarked David mockingly.
"You always want somebody else's, right?"
"Rob, please…" she interrupted, so David could continue.
"So I just peeked inside, when a very interesting conversation hit my ear…" he smiled and with one smooth movement he put his arm around her shoulder, what felt just as wonderful as she remembered… and what pissed off Rob even more if it was possible, but mostly the way as she closed her eyes for a moment, showing how much she enjoyed the contact. "… Julia was trying to get rid off an irritating guy, who wanted to have a drink with her, but couldn't understand what 'no' means… like a lot of man nowadays." he looked directly at Rob, "THAT is pitiful and shameless in my opinion."
"Big words from a guy who hasn't done much in his…" tried Rob, but he didn't dare to continue, because his eyes met with Julia's special look, from which everybody was afraid at work, "So… so what happened after that?"
"Although it was a pleasure to listen as she spoke, that bastard didn't want to leave, so I dropped in the ultimate line what always works, 'Sorry dear 'cos I'm late, but the traffic was horrible.'"
"And it really did it's effect, that bloke finally fucked off." smiled Julia, enjoying the irony in David's background story.
"Yeah, then we spent the whole evening together, chatting and drinking."
"It was a lovely night," Julia added with shining eyes, imagining what it would have been a night like that with David. "And I drank quite a lot… you know exactly how I behave when I drink." she chuckled, looking at Rob. "I always lose control, so when we reached my room…"
"I bet you immediately took advantage of the situation!" Rob cut in with indignation, "How disgusting…"
"No, on the contrary, David was a real gentleman." smiled Julia, "He just escorted me upstairs and wished me good night, when I…" she sighed with a smile, "I'm not too proud of myself, but I just pulled him into my room and…"
"You know, I really tried to resist and be a gentleman," continued David, looking at Rob. "But when a sexy, adorable woman like her wants to have sex with you, there's not much choice remained." he just grinned, awfully enjoying to watching that bastard's face.
"What a charming love story…" remarked Rob mockingly, "So you two lived happily ever after that?"
"No, not at all!" protested David as he began to feel the role and Julia just looked at him a bit surprised,
"…"
"When I woke up next morning, Julia was nowhere… she simply packed her things and left."
"That's no wonder," remarked Rob with a laugh, but it was too early,
"Well, I… I didn't think there could be anything from this," she shrugged her shoulders in a sweet way, "So I thought it's better to leave. It was a one night affair and I tried to deal with it like that."
"But she left me a message, saying thanks for the fantastic night," added David with a smirk, "So I immediately started to investigate a bit, to find out who was this gorgeous woman I met."
"He only knew my first name…" they exchanged a smile.
"Yeah, but I quickly found everything I had to know, so after two weeks as my contract finally ended, I went to London and just waited for her in front of her workplace."
"And it was a very pleasant surprise, because I couldn't forget him during those weeks." smiled Julia. "So we exchanged a few words, then I gave my address and asked him to follow me a bit later, leaving a key behind at the back entrance… and the rest of that is really history."
"Uh-huh and he's been working here only for a month," remarked Rob.
"Yeah, I couldn't arrange a job here sooner… however life is so much easier this way. But now, I really have to dress up, otherwise we can never start that work, right?" she smiled in a sweet way and the two men just watched her disappearing… after they remained alone, Rob turned to David angrily,
"And now listen to me!"
"You seem a little stressful, you okay?" smirked David, "Why don't you go home and cry into your pillow?"
"You're just a fucking nobody and if you think I'm taking this shit, you're stupider then I've thought!"
"Do you know what I think?" asked David confidently, "It sounds like sour grapes to me. Julia is with ME, and how they say…" David pretended thinking, "I've got it! NOT with you… so it's better if you just try to process it!"
"Well, in your place…" he smiled contemptuously, "I wouldn't be so sure about who she is with…"

Chapter Text
"I've just remembered…" Julia remarked sweetly as she suddenly came back and headed to David with a smile, "Would you be so kind to look around is there anything for breakfast in? I'm so hungry, but I wouldn't go out if I don't have to."
"Sure, just leave it on me," nodded David kindly.
"I think there's a few eggs and some bacon in the fridge, but I'm not really sure."
"No problem. I'll manage everything, don't worry."
"Thanks, that's so sweet of you…" she smiled and in the next moment, she just leant over and kissed him as if it would have been the most natural thing in the world… and everything slowed down again… although he knew it'll be hopefully part of the game, he was still surprised, in the best possible way of course… while Rob was literally freaked out and murmured a quiet 'what the fuck' as he was watching them…
"…What did you just say?" grinned David triumphantly as they remained alone, it was such a pleasure to watch that bastard as he tried to calm down.
"Never mind…" he mumbled angrily, "But if you have so much time, then you should rather make a coffee for me."
"You really want a coffee, huh?"
"Yeah, it's not that a difficult thing as you may think."
"Oh, really? Then why don't you go down and get one for yourself, hm?" David replied firmly, then turned around and opened the fridge, but instead of looking for something to eat, he was just staring at the food inside, "Oh, shit…" he sweared as he realized the more kisses he wants from her, the more time he has to spend with that bastard and he just couldn't do that…
"What is it? Just not the fridge's door hit your little finger?" asked Rob mockingly,
"If something would be hit, that surely wouldn't be my finger!"
"Oh, so I should be scared now?"
"I would say you should… but it seems I don't have to, because your hands are already shaking!" he replied as Rob suddenly tried to hide his nervousness with not much success… David just rolled his eyes contemptuously then turned back to find something to eat and took out a few things… some eggs, cherry tomatoes, bacon and a pack of pre-grated cheese, but when he wanted to start making their breakfast, Julia'd just finished with dressing and was ready to start the work with Rob…
"I've already prepared everything, so come on and sit down…" smiled Rob jovially as he patted the sofa next to him. He was quite a trigger, because he placed every document the way she had to sit right next to him as always, but now fortunately David was there and he perfectly knew what Rob was doing… so instead of cooking, he rather sat down in front of them with a newspaper and a coffee in his hand,
"I hope you don't mind if I take a quick break from cooking," he grinned. "I'm just running through the news…"
"Well, uhm…"
"No, not at all!" she cut in happily, "You know, how much I love when you're near me…" she added sweetly, feeling relieved and grateful, because she didn't have to prepare to block Rob's approaches this time, so it was such a relief to sit next to him like that.
"I know…" he winked, "And I won't say a word, I promise. Just do the work, at least the sooner you finish, the sooner I get you back." he just lost himself in her eyes for a moment, before turning to Rob, who was pissed off as hell.
"Then we should really start the real work now, okay?…" he asked frustrated, trying to ignore David, but it wasn't an easy thing, because he kept an eye on Rob's movements. It was so nerve-racking, that he could barely concentrate… he always felt David's eyes on him… and it was not a paranoid thing, because David really watched him all the time… so only half an hour had passed when Rob gave up,
"Sorry, but I… I think I don't feel well, we should continue this at another time, if it's okay."
"Are you sure?" asked Julia innocently, perfectly knowing what's going on.
"Yeah, I still has a little hangover from yesterday, so I think it's better to go. No problem?"
"No, of course not. Just go… I've already promised Saturday would be David's anyway." she added with a smile, what was rather a slap in his face.
"Fine, then… then see you on Monday," he murmured and finally left her apartment…
"Wow, it was quite a morning!" sighed Julia with relief as they remained alone.
"Yeah, first round is over… and I really hope he will never come back."
"I wouldn't bet on that, but you know there's always hope!" she chuckled, then added, "What do you think, did he believe us?"
"Well, actually I'm not really sure…" answered David with his boyish smile.
"That's why I thought a kiss would be a good idea, you know making things more believable. I hope you don't mind…"
"No, of course not!" protested David immediately, "I've just wanted to suggest it."
"Great," she smiled happily, when she spotted Rob on the street. "What on earth…"
"It seems he's heading to that coffee shop over there," added David, peeping out of the window too.
"Yeah, because you denied that coffee from him." she chuckled.
"Or rather because he doesn't believe us, and… yes, he sat down at the window, just to keep an eye on the house."
"You mean he wants to know you leave or not?"
"Uh-huh, if we are together, I'll stay and if we're not, then I'll leave, so…" he turned to face her with a cheeky smile, "I think it would be better for me to stay… but just if you have nothing else to do."
"Actually I haven't, but…"
"…"
"I don't want you to waste your day off."
"Don't worry, there's really no place I would rather be." he added and their eyes locked for a moment.
"I think I'm glad to hear that…" she smiled, feeling those butterflies again. "So what would you say for breakfast? I'm pretty hungry."
"Sure, I've just wanted to say that I found quite a few things in your fridge."
"Well, that would be a miracle, but show me…" she chuckled as they went to the kitchen and opened the fridge, "Hey, there's still a box of fish and chips from yesterday. Why didn't you eat it, wasn't it so good?"
"No, on the contrary, it was really the best, but… I just wanted you to have some food if you would wake up at night."
"Oh, that's…" she just looked at him with a grateful smile, "That's just so thoughtful, thank you." she whispered, feeling she loved him even more,
"And we should throw it away now…" he took it out from her hand.
"But why?"
"Well, maybe it's only my thing, but I think fish is a bit dangerous to eat the next day, so…"
"Oh okay," she nodded and let him to throw it out. "Then look what's more inside here… uhm, these are not bad for an omelette, but unfortunately we don't have any bread in."
"And what about that baguette over there?"
"That's hard like a stone, so I think it doesn't really count."
"Just leave it on me," he winked and took it out. "I will slice it, adding some butter and cheese and put it into the oven for a few minutes."
"Wow, that's a great idea… so tell me, what can I help?"
"Uhm, could just chop those tomatoes while I prepare the bread?"
"Yeah, sure…" she agreed and they started cooking, both doing their part in silence, when she had to admit something, "You know, I… I still haven't say thank you."
"Thank you for what?" he turned to her with a smile.
"For staying with me last night…"
"You don't have to say that, I just didn't want anything bad happen to you… hey, you're smiling like that again."
"Yeah, because I think I could really get used to this."
"Having me here every single day?" he flirted, but then he suddenly stopped.
"…"
"Sorry, have I said something wrong?"
"No, not at all. I just remembered what was it like to be married." she sighed sadly, "Oh, please don't misunderstand me, I don't miss Roger, just it was good to come home to someone."
"Yeah, I know that feeling very well."
"You'll probably think I'm mad, but…"
"Just tell me…"
"When I have to pop down for something, I usually leave the TV and the lights on… so when I get back I can feel like I'm coming home to someone." she didn't know why she told him, it was quite embarrassing. "It's a stupid thing, I know…"
"No, absolutely not. Going home to the quiet and empty flat is one the most depressing things, so believe me I know what you're talking about."
"…You're missing your kids, right?"
"Yeah, awfully." he nodded with a sigh. "They fill the house with life and laughter… but there's another thing what makes a house a real home… the woman you love."
"Oh, yes… yes, of course." she agreed, but her mood changed in a flash, "Well, I think I should really start to set the table…" she murmured and left him in the kitchen at a loss. He didn't know what was wrong, just he said something what upset her…
While Julia was setting the table, she felt so stupid… she knew what has happened recently proved the opposite of it and she felt the chemistry between them more than ever before, but she still couldn't get rid of the thought that probably he's missing his wife… missing the kids, missing Vicky and their old life together. Maybe he's just trying to find some solace in another woman's company… another woman, who pulls him into a doorway and just kiss him right there, gosh…
"Hey, you okay?" asked David softly as he stepped next to her, putting down two glasses.
"Yeah… yeah, of course."
"No, I think you're not." he added, what made her look at him. "I know I said something wrong, but I don't know what it was."
"No, you said nothing wrong just…" she didn't know how to tell him, "I was just thinking on family life, what it can be like if you miss your kids and… your wife." she shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, but realization hit him like a brick.
"Oh, no… I'm not missing Vicky!" he added quickly. "It's already over, we're just friends now!… I just wanted to say that it's a great thing to go home to a woman you love, in general."
"In general, really?…" she asked and he just watched her for a few moments, then he started smiling suspiciously… suspiciously, because he realized she's jealous.
"…"
"What?"
"Nothing." he shook his head with a chuckle, "Just something popped into my head…"
"Really? Then you should rather watch the oven…" she pointed behind him, "Other way all the food will be ruined soon."
"Oh, shit!" he turned around as a flash, while she just felt an incredible relief what mixed with a little worry, hoping she didn't reveal that she's maybe… probably… just a tiny little bit… jealous.
Breakfast was nice and tasty, while they 'accidentally' touched each other quite a few times… sending those pleasurable vibes to the other, what they both enjoyed so much…
"So how was it?"
"Uhm, very delicious…" answered Julia, when she realized that he was watching her with that suspicious smile again,
"Yeah, I can see it."
"…"
"You're still hungry, right?"
"Why…" she cleared her throat, trying to be nonchalant, "Why do you think that?"
"Are you kidding with me?"
"No, it's just a simple question." she kept her poker smile.
"Because…"
"Yes?"
"Because you eat every little morsel on your plate?" he chuckled and she finally gave up.
"Right…" she admitted it, "Maybe I'm a bit hungry."
"Then why did you let me eat most of the omelette, hm?" he asked her lovingly. "I asked if you wanted it or not…"
"I know, but…"
"…"
"Okay…" she gestured, "I just saw how much you can eat and I didn't want you to remain hungry, if you already stuck here for the day."
"First of all, I love being with you…" butterflies came to life in her stomach again, "And second, I think that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard." he just smiled and before she could realize what's happening, he just took her hand and kissed her palm lovingly. "I guess that's what they say 'a match made in heaven'."
"How you mean that?" she asked sweetly, still holding her breath a bit from the touch of his lips.
"You know, yesterday the fish, and now this… we're really like in that movie Curly Sue, where the father and daughter want the other to have food."
"That's the movie where they're homeless, right?"
"Yeah, this scene always makes me so touched."
"I didn't know you watch this kind of girly movies, it's quite a rare thing." she smiled warmly.
"I grew up with two sisters, so what should I say?" he chuckled, "But now tell me, what would you like to eat?"
"Knowing the content of my kitchen, I think there's not much choice remained for me."
"Don't bother with it, I'll pop down and bring whatever you want."
"Whatever I want?" she flirted.
"Yes, anything."
"But…"
"Yeah?" he leant a bit closer, hoping for… whatever,
"But then Rob will see you…" she finished with a chuckle, biting her lip.
"Right, then I'll use the backdoor."
"Uhm, actually… he can see both doors from the coffee shop, so…"
"Then we should order something."
"Of course, why haven't I thought about this before?"
"So what do you want?" he asked and took out his mobile, opening the food ordering app. "Something traditional or burgers, or Chinese food? I know you love Chinese…"
"Yeah, but this time I should eat something different. Just give it to me…" she asked and grabbed his mobile, "Let's see what you usually order…" she smiled and checked the ordering history. "Wow, it seems you really like pizza, right?"
"Yeah, it's a great kind of food… and you can put it into the fridge for later," he winked.
"Very funny…. right, then we should order some pizza, this 'Memphis' you usually order seems nice… BBQ sauce, cheddar, roasted chicken, bacon and onions."
"Cool, then I'm ordering it," he took back his mobile, "Do you want some soft drinks?"
"Yes, a light coke please… hey, what are you laughing at?"
"Looks like you're one of those girls…"
"Which girls?"
"Who orders a family sized pizza with tones of cheese, a cake with ice cream… and a light coke."
"Hey, it's totally normal!" she chuckled and slapped him playfully. "And speaking about pizzas, I have an idea… what would you say if we would make some popcorn and would watch a movie together?"
"Of course, I'm totally in! But in that case, we should also order some ice cream…"
"You can order ice cream too?"
"But of course, you do not order regularly right?"
"No, I just buy it on my way home or…" she didn't want to say it aloud, "Or Rob brings food."
"I see…" he nodded with a sigh, "But now, we're gonna order it, so what kind of ice-cream would you like?"
"Is there a coffee flavored?"
"Yeah sure, and what would you say for a little raspberry and vanilla to it?"
"I'm already loving it…" she agreed happily.
"Great, then I'm just adding your address…" he flashed a cheeky smile, "And it's done… it says 60 minutes."
"That's okay, and you can find some cash at the door." she added, but he just chuckled.
"I’ve already paid by sending the order."
"Ah, but…"
"We're starting this again?" he smiled, finding her independence cute and funny.
"Yesterday was a date, so it was okay that you paid, but…"
"So it seems you can remember what happened yesterday," he grinned and she just blushed, adding quickly,
"Just a little bit…"
"Uh-huh," he grinned. "So yesterday was a date, so I paid… but now, it's more than okay for me to pay, because we already moved a level up."
"Moved a level up?"
"Yes, because we're in a relationship now."
"We're in a… in a what?!"

Chapter Text
"In a relationship…" he repeated confidently, but she was still at a loss.
"…"
"You know, since morning…"
"…" she was concentrating hard,
"We've been trying to convince that bastard that we're together."
"Yes…" she answered hesitatingly,
"And he is still sitting at the coffee shop right now, watching the house."
"Uh-huh…"
"And I just don't want to fall out of the role…" he explained with a grin, "So I need these details to feel this whole thing, you know…"
"…"
"Just as you needed that kiss this morning, right?"
"Okay, okay I see…" she rolled her eyes with a sigh.
"You should have seen your face, it was priceless!"
"Really? I'm glad you have so much fun, but now you should rather come and choose a movie to watch…" she advised, then suddenly got up and sat on the sofa, followed by him, "Oh, and don't forget to let me know if you need anything else… you know, to feel the role." she added with a challenging smile on her face.
"Actually…" he couldn't help to tease her, "There's really something."
"…"
"I think you should move a bit closer… I mean we're together, so you shouldn't be that far as you're now, mostly if he sees us from across the street."
"Right…" she agreed with a sigh, and sat a bit closer. "Is it good enough?"
"Uhm, not really…" he smiled and pulled a cushion right before him, "Look, I'm putting this here... so you can lean against it."
"Okay…" she answered slowly, perfectly knowing what he's doing… and as she moved closer, he picked up the blanket what was still there from the previous night, "A blanket, are you serious?"
"Just for… you know," he answered with his boyish smile and gently wrapped it around them.
"Yeah, of course. It's pretty cold in here…"
"Uh-huh… So how does it feel, comfortable?"
"Well, I'm not really sure…" she pretended she was thinking, enjoying that she was the one who surprised him now, "Actually, this cushion is not so convenient, usually my back is aching if the surface is too soft, so I think it has to go…" she added cheekily and threw it onto the sofa, leaning against his chest with a sigh, "Hm, much better now…"
"You know, I've never thought MY workout will be good for YOUR back," he chuckled as she suddenly felt his arm around her waist, pulling her closer, "Just because it's much safer this way…"
"Of course…" she tried to hide her smile.
"It's very easy to fall down from a sofa."
"Yeah, I heard that too…" she agreed and just enjoyed his closeness… sinking in his arms made her feel simply wonderful, and she was sure in his arms was the place where she wanted to spend the rest of her life in… his embrace around her waist felt strong and gentle, but mostly loving as he was stroking it unconsciously, while he just lost himself in the sweet scent of her hair and the softness of her body against his… feeling her in his arms, made him more and more relaxed, because he finally had her as close as he always wanted her to be… so they were completely lost in their own little world and neither of them could have told how much time has passed, when they were still watching the dark screen with the controller in her hand…
"Is there a chance we'll watch something?" he teased her softly, as he regained his senses.
"Uhm yes, yes of course. I just wanted to settle a bit…" she tried to pull herself together, "So what do you want to watch?"
"Just choose anything…"
"I don't think it would be wise, because if I choose, that will be a romantic movie for sure."
"But that's no problem, I like these kinds of films."
"Really?" she turned a bit to see his face.
"Yeah, I used to watch tones of romantic movies with my sisters and their friends on every Friday night."
"Why, you didn't have other things to do?" it just slipped out before she could think.
"Of course I would have," he chuckled. "But they always begged me to stay, so I couldn't do much…"
"Uh-huh."
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Come on, just say it if you've already started…" he teased her.
"They wanted you to stay, because…"
"We were fine together?" he cut in with a smile,
"No, rather because all of them was in love with you!"
"Oh, come now!" he laughed up with disbelief.
"Gosh, you can't be so naive, David…"
"…"
"Okay, then tell me one thing, how many of them did you date with?"
"Well, actually…"
"So?"
"As I come to think of it… with all of them."
"What?!" she turned around, when she realized he was joking.
"You really should have seen your face…"
"Very funny."
"Thanks, I know!" he replied with a grin, "But seriously, why do you think they were in love with me?"
"Why? Because every teenager girl is in love with her friend's hot brother, that's why…" she laughed instinctively, when she realized what she'd just said, but before she could say anything else, he cut it,
"And would you have fallen in love with me too?…" he asked as a sudden, and she didn't know what to say for a few seconds… then she decided she'll choose honesty,
"Yeah, probably yes…" she declared, surprising him with her answer.
"…"
"Hey, what is this conceited smile on your face?" she asked, slapping him playfully.
"This is not my conceited smile, but my happy one."
"Oh, your happy one, really? And why are you so happy?"
"Are you kidding with me?" he chuckled, "You've just admitted that you're in love with me…"
"What?!" she laughed up from the bottom of her heart, "I've never said something like that…" she denied with a smile, when the doorbell was ringing from downstairs and she jumped up to answer it.
"Hey, where are you going? We haven't finished yet!" he got up quickly and went after her,
"Someone has to bring up the food."
"So is it not true?…"
"Do you want me to go down for the pizza or what?" she stopped at the door, holding the keys in her hand.
"No… but we're not finished!" he repeated, grabbing the keys, but she just bit her lip with a smile as she was watching him hastening downstairs…
A few minutes later he got back with a big pizza box, a plastic bag with full of ice creams and drinks… and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
"What's that?" she asked, staring at the flowers in his hand. "Is this the new gift for the orders?"
"Not exactly…" he smiled and put everything down, except the bouquet, "I've ordered this for you."
"For me? But… but how? Don't say you can order everything from one place."
"No, I just left a note when I sent the order, 'big tip for flowers'… and it seems it worked, so it's for you…" he smiled and handed it to her.
"…" as she was staring at the flowers, her smile was unreadable and a bit absent minded.
"So do you like it?"
"Is it for Rob, to see it?"
"What?"
"You ordered it for Rob, to see you get me flowers, so we're together?" she asked with her poker face.
"Do you like it?"
"Just answer the question, please."
"Uhm, it's not useless that way too, but… it's mostly for you."
"For me?" she looked up at him, toying with the wrapping paper in her hand.
"Yeah, it's just a little kindness… something you'll hopefully like," he added softly.
"Then… thank you, it's beautiful." she smiled a bit shyly, hoping it really meant what she longed for.
"Or do you think it's too old fashioned?" he asked, suddenly pulling her back to reality.
"…"
"Giving flowers…"
"It depends on what it really means," she couldn't help to say it aloud, and he knew the answer was important to her…
"It's just a simple gesture, a man gives flowers to a woman… in the most common sense." he smiled, and found in her eyes what he was looking for.
"I think I have to get a vase…" she remarked sweetly and stepped to the kitchen counter, while he just watched her as she was taking down a vase, got some water and started preparing the flowers… He found this scene so utterly cosy and comforting, actually it was one of the most simple things in life, but he could watch her like this forever… for a moment or two he even wandered off what it would be like at home with her on an average day… at home with her… "Oh, look at that! There's also a card in it…" she remarked as she found a little piece of paper amongst the flowers.
"…"
"So is it a stolen flower then?" she chuckled, finding funny that he was so lost in his own thoughts.
"No, not at all!" he regained his senses and picked it out from her hand, "This card is from me…"
"From you, really?" she asked surprised.
"Yeah, but… I think you should only open it when I left."
"But why? What did you write on it?" she asked with a cheeky smile.
"Just… just don't open it right now, okay?"
"Yeah of course, if you want…" she tried to be as nonchalant as she could, but she was awfully curious, "But now, please give it back to me."
"I think I rather put it up here on top of the cupboard…"
"Hey, I can't reach it from here!"
"Yeah, that's the point in it," he smiled. "It's safer this way, because I'm sure you would open it as soon as you can."
"That's not…"
"True?"
"Well, okay… maybe I would try to open it," she admitted, what made him chuckle, "I said MAYBE…"
"So we both agree on, it's the perfect choice… and if I can remember you still haven't answered to my question…"
"What question?" she asked nonchalantly.
"Please, don't start it again…"
"Okay, then why don't we eat instead, hm?" she suddenly changed the subject, picking up the pizza box with a cheeky smile and went back to the living room…
"Uhm… don't you need a plate or anything?" he smiled as she tore up the box, then stopped like a kid caught in the pantry with an opened jam jar in her hand.
"Why are you asking it?"
"That's why…" he chuckled and pointed as a drop of pizza sauce landed on her hand, "Wait, I'm getting you some sort of napkins… here you are," he handed her a paper towel and joined her on the sofa.
"Thanks," her smile was grateful. "You know it's pretty good, I should order pizza more often."
"A little variety after all those Chinese food, right?" he smiled and took slice for himself,
"Yeah, that's for sure… so what do you wanna watch?"
"Anything you want, just pick a romantic movie, no problem. I've almost seen all of them anyway."
"That was a bit conceited, wasn't it?" she laughed with disbelief.
"Don't you believe me?"
"Well…"
"But why would I not tell the truth?"
"Because you surely just want to impress me…"
"Really? And why do you think I want to impress you?" he enjoyed the little blush on her face.
"Because that's what men are like…"
"Uh-huh," he watched her with a smile, "Then you know what? Let's make a bet!"
"What… do you really wanna bet?" she asked with disbelief.
"Yeah, choose a movie and I'll find out which one it is from only the summary."
"Okay, if you think so…" she agreed, having no doubt it will be an easy win.
"But you have to use an official summary, not the one you'll create…" 'damn it' she thought, he already knew her to well, but she tried to be nonchalant,
"Why do you think I would create a new one?"
"Because I know how politicians and lawyers can talk, so…"
"It seems you don't have a good opinion of me at all…" she remarked with a laugh.
"Believe me, I have the best opinion of you, but I know it wouldn't be a fair play."
"Well… okay," she knew he was right.
"But you can skip the actor's names."
"That's correct, but now let's talk about the prize…" she added quickly, and he could saw the excited gleam in her eyes.
"If I win, you'll answer a question for me."
"Gosh, do you really think I'm that stupid?" she laughed up, while he just asked innocently,
"Why?"
"I think we both know what you want to ask."
"It can be anything."
"No… find another thing."
"Right, then you'll do something for me."
"…"
"Isn't that good either?"
"It depends on you will be a gentleman or not."
"A gentleman? What do you think, what will you have to do?" he asked with a cheeky smile on his face, seriously interested in her answer.
"I don't think on anything, I just remarked that I hope you'll be a gentleman, that's all."
"But of course, and if you still think my choice is not okay for you, you'll have a veto."
"That's acceptable, and if I win…"
"I think you don't have to think on that, it's a waste of time."
"Okay, Mr. Self-Confidence!" she laughed up, "But we'll see… so if I win, YOU'll do something for ME."
"Sure, and I'm just saying that you don't have to hold yourself back, because I'll do anything," he flirted.
"Really? Just don't be so sure of that!"
"But there's no way I can lose, so…"
"Okay, then let's see!" she smiled and picked up her phone with her free hand while she was still eating her pizza. A few minutes had passed, when he couldn't help but teased her,
"…Are you so afraid you'll lose?"
"What?" she looked up from her phone with a chuckle, "Where are you getting that from?"
"You have such a hard time choosing, it seems you want to go for sure."
"I just can't decide between two movies, but right let's pick the harder one… I hope you don't mind?" she asked with a challenging smile, but he was just as confident as before.
"Of course not!"
"Fine, so the summary says… a superstore magnate man and an independent shop owner woman fall in love via the internet - both unaware that he's trying to put her out of business…."
"Are you kidding with me?" he asked with a laugh.
"Why?… Don't say you already know it."
"It's too easy…" he enjoyed to see her face, "So is there a chance this movie has Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in it?"
"What?!"
"So it's You've Got Mail… just as I thought," he grinned.
"You're cheating!"
"Cheating?!" he laughed up with disbelief, "How could I cheat?"
"I don't know, maybe my mobile's screen is reflecting on the TV or something."
"Just accept you've lost."
"I can't believe it!"
"So?"
"Okay, then tell me what you want…" she shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, but he just smiled.
"…"
"Well?"
"…"
"Haven't you figured it out yet or what?" she chuckled and sipped a bit from her coke, just as he finally answered with a confident smile,
"I want to spend the night in your bed…" he said, and she spat her drink like a fountain…

Chapter Text
"Hey, it's not funny!" cried Julia, trying to keep a straight face, but it wasn't an easy thing as David just couldn't stop laughing…
"Yes, it is! It's awfully funny!" he was shaking with laughter, "… But wrong timing, sorry."
"I think 'wrong' just isn't the word to describe it…" she finally let herself to smile, while she desperately tried to find some napkins, "Everything is covered with coke!"
"Look on the bright side, at least it was light coke…" he remarked as he handed her some paper towels, but she didn't get it,
"…"
"Not so sticky."
"Yeah, much better really…" she nodded with a chuckle as she was wiping down the table, "And you have to know, that was a cruel joke."
"…"
"You're always teasing me…" she added, but he didn't answer, so she turned to face with him.
"…"
"What…"
"Actually…" he answered hesitatingly, "It wasn't a joke."
"Are you fucking kidding with me?!" she threw a cushion towards him, couldn't decide he was that hot or that shameless to ask such a thing.
"Why?"
"Is this what being a gentleman means to you?"
"I said nothing wrong…"
"Nothing wrong, really?! You've just said you wanted to have sex with me!"
"That's not quite true…" he denied it.
"So you don't want it, right?"
"Well… actually, it's a tricky question."
"…" she raised her eyebrow.
"I mean of course I want it, who doesn't?" he tried to lighten the moment, but her expression didn't change. "However, I never said something like that."
"I see… so maybe you meant you will sleep in my bed, while me on the sofa, right?"
"Uhm, not exactly… I meant we would both sleep in your bed."
"Okay, so before I would think on anything else…" she took a deep breath, "Could you explain me how did you imagine this whole thing?"
"Sure…"
"So?"
"So we would both sleep in your bed… fully dressed of course," he added quickly.
"…"
"And you would be on one side of the bed… while I would be on the other side."
"Uh-huh, and?"
"What 'and'?"
"That's it?" she asked at a loss, "I mean what's the point in this whole thing?" she asked, but before he would have a chance to answer, she continued, "Oh, I see! You must think I'll jump on you after a while, right?"
"What?"
"Yeah, because I won't be able to resist you."
"I've never thought something like that," he said with his boyish smile, thinking better not to mention 'like yesterday on the street'. "But I must admit, that if it'll still happen, I surely won't protest…" he grinned, but it wasn't a good idea as the soaked paper towel landed in his face, "I just wanted to make things clear…" he grinned as he removed it.
"You definitely don't have to worry about that!"
"Okay, it's just better to clear."
"Uh-huh… and now, you have one last chance to tell the truth."
"So you don't believe me?" he smiled with disbelief,
"They say do not trust someone, when you know you would lie in his place… and if you come up again with this 'you just want to feel the role' thing, I'm gonna punch you in the nose."
"Okay, okay I see."
"So?" she asked with her well known questioning face.
"I just love being with you…" he shrugged his shoulders with his boyish smile and she couldn't help but softened immediately, "And this whole day was so much fun, I truly enjoyed every minute of it… and I don't really want to go home."
"…" she was just staring at him.
"I would love to stay a bit more and… and I think it would be exciting and fun, it doesn't matter what happens or not," he seemed so honest and cute, she didn't know what to say for a moment,
"… Exciting and fun, right?"
"Yeah," he answered fondly. "And if you want it, I promise I won't touch you… otherwise, you can throw me out and I'll go home."
"…" her gaze was a bit suspicious.
"I swear," he affirmed with a smile, then she bit her lip and he knew it was a good sign, so he added, "But if you do not dare to spend the night with me in the same bed, I do understand that also."
"Do not dare to spend?" she repeated, her eyes filled up with challenge.
"Yeah, no problem if you feel that way. After all the temptation would be… well, you know."
"You really think that, right?"
"I just think you're afraid that you can't resist me, that's all."
"Really?" she knew what he was doing, but couldn't resist to take the challenge. "So you can't touch me…"
"As you say."
"I mean you SWEAR you won't touch me, right?… and before you answer, you have to know that giving your word is a very important thing to me."
"Yes, I solemnly promise so to do." he nodded, then added only to himself 'even if I die'.
"So let's say you're so sure of it… that I don't know," she tried to be nonchalant, "Would you even bet on it?"
"Uhm," he knew it was a trap, but he had to be confident. "Yeah, sure."
"Okay, so if you'll break your promise, I'll throw you out immediately and send you home."
"That's right."
"And…" she added with a smile, "You'll have to spend a whole day… with Rob."
"What?! No way!"
"But you don't have to worry, right? I mean you swore you won't break your promise, and you're that kind of bloke who keeps his word."
"But of course." he answered as an instant, then added quickly, "And what if I win?"
"Well, in that case…" she bit her lip on a sexy way, "I don't know yet what your reward will be, but you will enjoy it, that's for sure."
"How much?" he flirted.
"Very… very much."
"That sounds great."
"Fine, then it's a deal…" she held out her hand and they made it official. "And since we already have our late night program, maybe we should watch that movie… unless you want to go to bed right now," she said with a challenging smile.
"No, of course not." he smiled, "So… you want this movie, what you have read the summary of?"
"Uh-huh."
"Fine, then just give me the controller and I'll find it in the video library," he offered and as she gave it to him, he couldn't resist to ask, "What do you think? Don't you want to sit a bit closer?"
"Well, actually…" she pretended thinking, then just smiled, "I think I need a little space for eating… you know it's much more comfortable."
"Yeah, sure." he accepted with a sigh, feeling a bit sad, but he was also happy that she didn't throw him out already.
While the film was going on TV, they seemed like who was watching it, but both of them was lost in their own thoughts. She made a whole battle plan for the night, because she so wanted to teach him a lesson… to teach him, that it surely won't be her challenge, but his… while David was lost in his own world, couldn't resist to fantasizing about what could happen in the best possible version of the night. When they regained their senses, another movie was already playing, but none of them have realized it.
"I think I'm bringing in the ice creams. Where are they?" she asked, but he didn't respond.
"…"
"David?"
"Sorry, what did you ask?"
"Where did you put the ice creams?" she repeated as she stood up,
"Uhm, on the kitchen counter, because they were too frozen… but wait, I'll give you a hand," he jumped up and went after her.
"So let's see them… a bit melted, but just right for eating," she remarked as she took off the caps, then grabbed the coffee flavored one and two spoons, "Could you bring in the rest of them?"
"Yeah sure, but no need for bowls or anything?"
"Why? We have two spoons, that's perfectly enough. I'll start with the coffee one and you with whatever you like, then we'll switch later, right?" she just smiled cheekily, and he loved this carefree side of her so much. Eating ice cream somehow smoothed everything between them and at the end of the second film, she was already sitting on the sofa with her legs across him, while he just massaged them gently.
"Well, I think it's getting late…" he tried to be nonchalant, although he knew it sounded a bit funny.
"Are you kidding with me?" she chuckled.
"I mean it's already dark outside and I have a sleepy feeling."
"Uh-huh, so you think we should go to bed soon, right?" she asked and couldn't help, but felt those butterflies in her stomach again.
"Yeah, if you agree with it." he nodded with a smile, "But I would like to ask something first and I only hope it won't be too much…"
"Really?" she laughed up, "I'm all ears to hear what you want after you said you wanted to share the bed with me."
"Actually, I couldn't take a shower for two days…" he started, "So I would really like to have one if it's okay."
"... Gosh, sure," she answered as she regained her senses, she didn't expect such a thing. "Sorry, I didn't really think how long you haven't been at home, so…"
"No problem."
"Then, uhm… you'll find some clean towels next to the washbasin."
"Great."
"And in that cabinet over there…" she pointed above the bedroom door, "There's a few brand new packs of T-shirts and boxers. I bought them for Roger before we… well, so I just never gave it to him."
"Thanks," he smiled gratefully and took them out from the cabinet, "Then I'm just…" he smiled, pointing towards the bathroom, but when he wanted to go in, her cheeky remark made him stopped,
"And I'm sorry if I ruined your plan…" she smiled wildly, when he turned back at a loss,
"What plan?"
"I think it's obvious... to running here up and down only in a towel around your waist."
"You have to know," he shook his head with a smile, "That even the supposition is offensive…"
"Uh-huh…" she nodded with a winning smile and watched him disappearing in the bathroom… as the door closed behind him, she immediately headed to her bedroom to find some sexy nightgown for the night, because he had to pay for his shameless confidence… she selected a lot of things, then in the end she chose a long split nightgown made from pure black silk with a very sexy v-neck cut out covered with lace… she was highly satisfied as she checked herself in the mirror, then she just applied a few drops of her favorite perfume which she used only for seduction, and as a finish she put on a big white robe to hide what she wears underneath… just when she realized that the little card from the flower is still up on the cupboard and this is the perfect opportunity to take a look at it… so she was in the kitchen in a flash, quickly pulled over a chair and jumped on it, then stepped onto the kitchen counter from where she could easily reach the card… while she was opening it, a lot of things were running through her mind… but as she finally could read it, she caught her breath for a moment… because the little note on the card said,
'I can't help falling in love with you'…
To be continued…
Chapter Text
Julia just stood there with a dreamy smile on her face, while her heart was beating faster as she was reading the note on the little card in her hand over and over again… despite she couldn't help but smiled, she secretly prayed… prayed, because she didn't want to be disappointed, just not this time, just not with David… she wanted to believe him, she wanted to trust him and wanted this whole thing with him so much… but she also had plenty of bad experiences and Roger was still a vivid memory in her mind… all the things he said and did, and what all turned out as a lie… making her more careful with any possible new man in her life… a new man, like David… but fortunately deep inside, she had a feeling that it's something different now.
As she was thinking on this, she heard as the water stopped flowing in the bathroom, but first she didn't attach any importance to it… until she suddenly realized, it could mean only one thing, that David finished with his shower and he'll appear anytime soon, so she immediately put the card back and literally jumped down from the kitchen counter with quite a big noise…
"Is everything okay?" asked David from inside, his voice was worried.
"Yes, yes of course!" she answered immediately and put the chair back with one swift movement, just when he exited from the bathroom.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, just… just stumbled in this chair, that's all." she answered with a smile, trying to be as nonchalant as she could.
"And is that why you're seem so happy?" he asked with a chuckle.
"I'm just laughing on my clumsiness… but how was it?" she quickly changed the subject.
"What?"
"The shower…"
"Oh, that was a lifesaver and I must say the selection of shower gels in your bathroom is quite impressive."
"Yeah I'm a bit obsessed, that's true," she chuckled. "But unfortunately there's no man fragrance amongst them."
"I would say… fortunately," he flirted, and her smile was very promising. "Anyway, in the end I chose a lavender fragrance one, just to be stylish." he chuckled.
"Actually, I bought that one as a joke… but then I just fell in love with it."
"No wonder, it smells really nice and if you lean a bit closer, you can even feel it…" he remarked with a smile, but she just shook her head with a chuckle,
"Nice trying, sir…"
"Why is that you always suppose the worst about me?" he laughed with disbelief.
"Because I see right through you, that's why."
"Really?" he grinned, "And what do you see exactly, hm?"
"A man in a very tight T-shirt…" it just slipped out, on a far more flirting way than she wanted.
"And tell me, do you like what you see?" he asked with his inviting smile, stepping closer and in the next moment her hand was on his chest, instinctively trying to stop him, but the sudden contact was just oil for the fire. For a moment or so she was wondering how her fingers fitted just perfectly to his body, and how hard she found to pull them back to lose contact,
"I must say that you're getting closer to your way home…"
"What? You touch me and I'm the one who have to go home?" he asked with a chuckle, "It's not really fair, if I can say so…"
"Life is not fair, the sooner you learn it, the happier you will be." she bit her lip and shrugged her shoulders on a sweet way, while he was just lost in her eyes for a few moments.
"Uhm… did you change your clothes?" he suddenly asked as he noticed she was wearing a robe.
"Have you just realized it?" she chuckled.
"I do apologize, but my attention was a bit diverted…" he flirted, "So I've thought we'll sleep dressed up, that's all."
"In our clothes yes... I mean we'll wear clothes, but I do not want to sleep in a suit, you know." she smiled.
"Sure, then in this case I would stay in this," he said, pointing to his T-shirt and boxers combo. "Just if it's okay for you…"
"Yeah… yeah, of course." she nodded, but looking at him she was wondering that the clothes he was wearing didn't help too much compared to a simple towel around his waist, because he was hot anyway and she perfectly knew it'll be a hard night…
"… Is he still there?" he asked for the second time, when she finally regained her senses.
"Sorry, who?"
"That bastard… Is he still there at the coffee shop?"
"I have no idea, but do you really think he hasn't gone home yet?"
"Who knows?" he asked with his boyish smile, "He totally seems like who would do such a thing."
"Yeah I think you're right, then just let me check it quickly…" she smiled and headed to the bedroom, where the lights were off, so it was easier to see what's outside. "I can't believe it, but he's still there…" she chuckled as she got back.
"Then I think the time has come to open the window a bit and show myself around." he winked.
"Great idea… but you should take off your T-shirt as well," she smiled, but suddenly stopped, because he seemed a bit confused and she knew she didn't think just said what was on her mind… again. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…"
"No, I'm sorry." he stopped her quickly. "You said nothing wrong, it's just me…" he sighed and she could see how hard was for him to speak about it. "I've never told you this before, but… during the war I was wounded."
"Yeah, I read it in your file." she remarked softly.
"So I… I got some marks on my back," he took a deep breath, "Actually, a part of my back is a huge wound… and I just don't feel comfortable to show it around, that's all."
"It's okay, really." she answered as an instant, just stroking his arm instinctively, "I totally understand it… and I'm so sorry."
"…" he just smiled warmly, when she realized her hand was on him again…'shit', she thought. "Then I just…" he pointed at the window, while she just nodded with a bashful smile…
"What happened?" she asked as David started laughing, but the curtain hid him, so she didn't know what was going on.
"He's just fell off his chair…" he laughed as he freed himself from the thick material.
"What?"
"He fell off his chair as he saw me." he laughed.
"Gosh, then I really hope he'll finally give up and go home."
"Yeah, me too." he agreed with smile, "But now, fortunately there's only the two of us here, so I think we should…" he pointed towards the bedroom then added, "But just if you don't need anything else for the night of course."
"No, I'm fine… so just go," she nodded in agreement… and soon they were standing at the doorway, feeling a bit puzzled,
"Uhm, where do you usually sleep?"
"Actually… in the middle of it."
"Oh."
"But you can have the right side, while me the left one."
"That sounds great…" he nodded happily, then after a little hesitation they started to arrange the pillows and as he wanted to climb into bed he just froze, seeing in slow motion as she was taking off her robe… as she was standing there only in that black silk nightgown, he couldn't do anything just staring at her, because he was completely enchanted by the view.
"Are you okay?" she asked with a chuckle, as he tried to regain his senses.
"What?"
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, sure. I just lost my senses for a few moments, because the view is simply mesmerizing from here."
"…" her smile just encouraged him more,
"And I'm sure this night will worth the ticket no matter what… if I can see this view all night long."
"Well, I really hope so…" she remarked on a flirting way, feeling happy that she had such a great effect on him. "Then we should…" she suggested with a smile,
"Yeah, sure."
As they got into bed, they were laying on their sides, facing with each other and she couldn't help, but pulled the blanket up a bit, because she needed some protection against his longing gaze on her.
"So what are you gonna tell me about?…" she asked from nowhere, and he was just staring at her.
"How you mean that?" he smiled at a loss.
"You said it would be exciting and fun."
"Oh… well, actually I can't imagine anything more exciting than this… being in bed with you." he flirted, then added quickly. "But okay, then just ask whatever you want to know."
"You were kidding with me quite a few times…" she started, while he just tried to figure out it was good or bad.
"…"
"So now, I can't decide when you're joking and when you're not… and I was just wondering, why you said you didn't want me to know what's on that card… you know, from the flower."
"Well, I just…"
"I was thinking on what if it's just another joke, and that's why you want me to read it only after you're gone."
"No, actually that's completely serious," he answered as an instant. "The note on the card, that's definitely not a joke, but… wait a minute," he suddenly realized it, "Have you read it?"
"Actually… yes, I have." she answered with a sigh, seeing the hope in his eyes,
"And what do you say to that?"
"…"
"Like it? Hate it? Or… neutral?" he asked, holding his breath and waiting for her answer.
"I think I do like it…" she answered a bit shyly, and his eyes were full of happiness.
"And I'm so glad to hear that, so…"
"Hey! What are you doing?" she cut him off as it seemed he was moving a bit closer.
"Don't worry." he chuckled. "I'm just trying to find a more comfortable position, that's all."
"Uh-huh, but it won't change the rules for tonight, okay?"
"Yeah, sure." he smiled, he was too happy to protest against it. "So you can ask anything else if you want…"
"Anything?"
"Yeah, anything at all." he answered confidently.
"Right… then tell me something I don't know."
"Oh, okay." he was a bit surprised, then he realized it's the perfect opportunity to share something with her. Something, what he really wanted to tell her for a long time, "So I know we got off the wrong foot, arguing quite a few times at the beginning… but I want you to know, that… when I was at home or just wasn't near you… I always found myself thinking of you." he looked at her with his boyish smile, "I was thinking of what you were doing, how you felt… I know it's just…"
"… Sweet." she finished with a smile, and their eyes locked for a long moment…
"So… then I think it's my turn."
"Fine."
"Do you remember what happened yesterday?"
"Wow! Just cut to the chase, right?" she remarked with a chuckle.
"Well, if you don't want to answer… that's an answer too." he flirted, but she didn't realize it,
"… Actually, yes I do." she admitted softly.
"And did you regret it? I mean kissing with me…"
"No!" her answer was so quick and honest that his heart skipped a beat. "Not at all…" she added and he couldn't help, but flirted,
"I can only hope you enjoyed it as much as I did…"
"Yeah, it was… very delicious," she bit her lip instinctively, recalling the sweet memories when she realized he moved dangerously close to her lips. "Hey, do you really want to go home?" she teased him, while she clearly could see the desire in his eyes.
"Why do you think that, hm?" he asked confidently, remaining still so close to her.
"Because it would be a thoughtless move from your part."
"Thoughtless, really? I would rather say a pretty brave thing…" they exchanged a smile, then she just pulled back a bit,
"And speaking about brave things… there's something I would like to ask."
"Sure, anything." he nodded.
"But it's something serious."
"Okay."
"… No," she shook her head after a while. "It's nothing, sorry…"
"You know you can ask anything…"
"…"
"There's nothing I wouldn't tell you… or do for you." he added softly.
"Then… could you…"
"…"
"Could you show me that wound on your back?" she asked and could see the instant fear in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, that was a stupid idea…"
"No, it was not." he answered and knew he has to take the risk. "It's not about I wouldn't want to show you, I'm just afraid…"
"Afraid of what?" she asked as she instinctively started stroking his hand… and his answer was barely a whisper,
"That… that you will be disgusted by me,"
"What? Never!" she protested immediately, "That can never happen, believe me…"
"I… I can only hope so." he sighed, then after a little hesitation he slowly sat up and turned his back to her, sitting out on the edge of the bed… as he took a deep breath and pulled up his T-shirt, his heart was beating rapidly… he didn't dare to breathe as he was waiting for any kind of reaction from her, trying to prepare that within a minute she'll send him home with various excuses… he was thinking on this, while Julia slowly sat up and moved closer to him, just staring at his back with a warm, soft look on her face… she was just staring at the wound, then slowly, very carefully reached out to touch it and started stroking it tenderly… she just ran her fingers over the scarring on his body a few times, until she couldn't hold herself back anymore and leant closer, placing a kiss on it… her kiss was feather like and barely sensible, but he felt it intensely… it was the most comforting thing he has ever felt, making him fall in love with her even more. So many feelings and emotions were running through his mind as he slowly turned to face with her, then stopped only inches from her lips… they were just staring at each other for a while, hearing their own breathing and saw the love in each others eyes what they were longing for a very long time, but couldn't find it with anyone… then he slowly closed the distance between them, trying not to startle her, as he just reached for her lips, and finally kissed her... first just gently, then a few moments later their kissing became passionate as they wanted to feel each other more and more with every move... their kissing was heated and demanding, but as they finally took a break and tried to breathe normally, she couldn't resist to say,
"I… I think we should stop this now, David."
"What?… Do you want to kill me?" he chuckled, thinking she was just kidding and tried to catch her lips again, but she pulled away playfully.
"No, I'm just helping you to keep your promise." she answered teasingly, "Because it seems you're about to failing soon…"
"I think we're already far beyond that." he remarked with a smile, his eyes never leaving hers.
"It was just a little stumble from my fault, that's all."
"Uh-huh… maybe it was a little more than that." he suddenly kissed into her neck, what made her moan instinctively.
"Hmm… please, stop it."
"You moan like this and do you want me to stop?" he looked into her eyes with a grin.
"It was instinctive…"
"Instincts are good, they always say trust in your instincts." he smiled.
"And my instincts tell me to stick to your promise."
"…" he just sighed with a smile.
"Hey, I'm just helping you."
"So you don't want me to fail, right?"
"I just want you to keep your promise," she just looked at him sweetly. "And it's quite important to me… do you understand that?" she asked, while he just shook his head with a smile.
"I can't say I do, but because it's important to you, then it's important for me too." he answered with his boyish smile, while he was gently stroking her face with his thumb. "You know that I could do anything for you…" he added fondly and kissed her as an affirmation, then she just let herself to hid in his shoulder for a few moments, enjoying his closeness as he was holding her tight. Being in his arms was still her favorite place on earth and what she felt there was something indescribable, a feeling what was like a drug to her.
"But actually... there's something more," she pulled back a bit, loosening her hug on him.
"Just say it…" he braved her, still holding her close to him.
"I would like to ask something, but if you find it disturbing in any way, please say no."
"…" he couldn't imagine what it could be, but she seemed serious.
"Maybe… it's a mistake to ask such a thing."
"Just tell me."
"Could you…" she didn't know how to say it, but she pulled herself together and asked, "Could you hold me?"
"But I'm holding you right now," he smiled, couldn't understand her.
"I mean through the night, while we're sleeping."
"Oh, of course."
"But if it's too much, please do tell me. I really don't want to make offense."
"No, absolutely not. I'd love to hold you… you know, a few days earlier I couldn't dare to imagine that anything can happen between us and now the thought that I can hold you for a whole night, it's a dream come true."
"Really?" she asked, and her happiness was undeniable.
"Yeah, I wish I could just hold you forever." he whispered, kissing her on the lips lovingly.
"Thank you… for everything." she answered sweetly and slowly laid down, turning her back to him, then he carefully laid behind her, pulling her into his arms completely. His face was hidden in her neck, breathing in her sweet relaxing scent, while his arm was holding her tight and Julia just lost herself in his closeness, feeling completely safe and loved.
"You know… I think this is what I miss the most," she remarked softly, breaking the silence.
"… the hug?"
"Uh-huh… I mean of course I miss sex, but… when you haven't been held in a long time, sex isn't what you miss the most." she felt a bit vulnerable as she said it aloud, but he just hugged her stronger and answered,
"I know what you mean… feeling your closeness is really the best in the world," he smiled into her neck, then just kissed it tenderly, whispering, "I love you…" she couldn't believe she was awake and not dreaming, while those butterflies literally gone mad in her stomach, because hearing those three little words aloud was more intense than reading it on a piece of paper. So she just pulled his hand closer, placing a long kiss on it as she whispered back, "I love you too…"
They just laid there in each others arms, what was the most relaxing, but also the hardest thing for both of them. Julia knew it was a sweet torture for him, but it wasn't an easy thing for her also. She wasn't sure she can make it, she was trying really hard to hold herself back from turning around, loosing herself in his arms and making love all night long. She realized that speaking about jumping on him earlier was a Freudian slip, because she really felt she could lose control in any moment. In one hand she didn't want to fail to honor her promise, and on the other hand she was curious if he keeps his promise or not, because she literally felt how hard was for him to hold himself back.
They were completely lost in their own thoughts and in the sweet feeling of each others closeness as they finally fell into sleep… despite they usually wake up during the night, this time they slept for long in the morning, what was a very pleasant surprise for both of them…. During their sleep they changed their position quite a few times, but they never lost contact, so when Julia woke up, David was laying on his back, while she was still nestled in his arms, just resting her head on his chest peacefully…
"Good morning," she whispered, placing a kiss on the tip of his nose.
"Hmm morning…" he murmured with eyes closed, smiling as he felt her so close to him. "Do I feel right that I won in the end?"
"Yes, you did… but only now you'll really feel it." she flirted, kissing him on the lips as he finally opened his eyes, looking at her lovingly.
"That's sounds exiting…"
"I really hope so, because I think I finally know what your reward will be."
"And what do you think…" he flirted, "Will I enjoy it?"
"I'll definitely do everything to ensure that," she just stroked his chest on a teasing way while she was talking, "But I will need your help as well, of course."
"You can count on me, that's for sure." he squeezed her waist instinctively, just ready for anything…
"So what would you say if we would spend the whole day in bed?"
"Watching movies from here?" he asked jokingly.
"Well, if you want it… but I think this show here will be more exciting." she chuckled and just closed her eyes with enjoyment as he started kissing her neck.
"You know, politicians always just make promises…" he teased her, while he couldn't stop placing small butterfly kisses on her neck.
"Well, I have a very interesting program if I can say so…"
"Uh-huh," he murmured, as he was lost in her neck.
"But I do not dare to describe it… otherwise I'm sure I'll lose my most important voter at the very beginning." she whispered into his ear, driving him more crazy.
"Why do I feel that I will be a Tory to the end?" he asked with a smile as he stopped, looking deep into her eyes.
"A Tory?" she chuckled, then added on a flirting way, "Come now, you won't even remember your name, not that you could vote."
"My gosh…" he sighed, feeling he was losing control as she just continued,
"So I was thinking on, we could make love all day long… unless you have other things to do of…" she added, but couldn't finish it, because he was suddenly fully on top of her, and amongst sweet kisses they slowly started to lose themselves in their own little world…
… and on Monday the impossible happened… Julia Montague took a day off.
