Princess

Summary:

Nemu finds a dress that makes her look like a princess.

Chapter Text

“Onee-chan!” My younger sister came running up to me. She was the only thing that brought light into my world…I still wasn’t over the death of our parents, even though our household was violent and abusive…I had to take care of her myself, and I did my best to make her happy.

“Nemu, what is it?” I asked her, seeing her twirl around.

“I found a super pretty dress in your room, and it’s just my size! Can I please, please wear it?!” Shit. As a transgender boy, I attempted to get rid of all my old clothes, yet clearly I missed some spots. However, seeing her smile made me unable to say no.

“Alright…” I sighed, taking her along.

One we were in my room, Nemu grabbed the dress off of the hanger, and I helped her put it on. She looked beautiful…

“Nemu, you look like a princess.” My comment was in good faith, yet then she started to pout. “Was it something I said…?”

“I can’t be a princess yet!” Nemu squeaked. “First off, princesses must have crowns…!”

Huh…a crown… “I think I have a small tiara around here somewhere…” I dug around in our rooms, and I found a tiara under Nemu’s bed. Once I returned, I gently placed it on her head. “Now you’re a princess.”

She gasped with an expression of pure joy, and shouted “Let’s go outside and meet a prince!” I giggled at her wild imagination, but I wanted her to have fun.

——

When we went outside, there was another boy who seemed to be about her age, with jet black hair and heterochromatic eyes. Nemu pointed towards him and yelled “There he is, a prince!” I chuckled lightly, thinking that she would just choose the first boy she met off of the street. She rushed over to him and did a curtsy.

“I am Princess Nemu the 3rd…! I am the heir of the Aohitsugi family!” she introduced proudly. The boy giggled as she asked “And what kingdom are you from?”

“I’m not a prince,” he sighed. “I’m Ichiro Yamada…just a regular boy…it sure is nice to meet a princess…”

“Well, once we marry, you can become a prince!” she cheered. However. I wasn’t so fond of having her declare marriage.

“Really?!” the boy asked as his eyes lit up.

“Okay, Nemu, that’s enough,” I told her. I started to drag her away from the house.

“Onee-chan! I was having fun…!”

——

When we went inside the house, Nemu told me “Onee-chan! Do you want to be a princess, too?”

I guess this was the time to tell her. “Nemu…I’m not your older sister. I’m your brother. Call me your big brother from now on, alright?”

“Okay! You’re my onii-chan from now on! And you can be a prince!” I was glad that she was able to accept me for who I was without questioning it. But there was just one thing missing.

“Woah, woah, woah. Didn’t you forget something?” I asked her.

“Wait, what?”

“First off, princes must have crowns.”
