Seungyeon was blinded by the summer sun as she adjusts her glasses. She checked her phone and it’s already 11:11 AM and right on-queue, the music starts as she puts her phone on her pocket and looks at the people walking towards her as she recalls the headaches that she went through prior to this.

It was a nice winter afternoon and Seungyeon has been lazing it out at home since she’s on holiday break and all she wants is some peace and quiet even just for a couple of days as she worked her butt off the whole year but her younger sister Jeongyeon is making it difficult for her as she continuously troubles her older sister about her feelings about a certain timid Japanese girl that she works with and she never stops.

Jeongyeon has been hesitant about Mina’s feelings for her. She knows that she likes the girl since she met her and been almost borderline simping for her that the other members are sick and tired of Jeongyeon’s indecisive ass. The younger girl responds well to her so called advances but she doesn’t want to assume as she knows that the Japanese girl is nice to everyone.

Even at home, she never stopped thinking about the girl that even her sister is getting tired of her and always scolding her to man up (don’t know if that’s even possible. LoL) and confess to Mina. They’re daily bickering’s consists mostly of Jeongyeon’s scared ass that Seungyeon just had enough.

She tried to think of ways of talking to the Japanese girl as she is known by the other members but it will be too obvious and as much as she wants to tease her younger sister, she doesn’t want her to be placed on a situation where she is cornered and most probably will chicken out when it matters most so she came up with a perfect plan, to discreetly ask Mina as a fan. 

Seungyeon has been secretly collecting Twice’s merchandise behind Jeongyeon’s back to get a chance for a hi-touch with Mina to gauge the younger girl’s feelings for her sister as she read that idols sometimes even divulge personal stuff as this is just a one on one event and outside the company or anyone’s prying eyes so idols are more comfortable on it.

Every comeback of the group, Seungyeon is actively participating on the buy and sell sector since she buys a lot of albums just to get the hi-touch ticket and sells or even gives away some when she has spares. She’s quite notoriously known to the point that even the managers of Twice are aware of her buy and sell account on social media.

Jeongyeon was at first suspicious of the boxes that always comes in whenever they have a comeback and they always fight about it as Seungyeon doesn’t want Jeongyeon to know because she knows that she will scold her for spending too much when she can just give it to her for free and she will be teased since she told Jeongyeon that she’s not really into Kpop but since she started her quest for the hi-touch ticket, she listened and fell in love with the group. She disguised the boxes as her reading materials knowing that Jeongyeon is not a book person so the younger girl won’t mess with her stuff.

Seungyeon has bad luck since ironically, the hi-touch tickets that she gets is for Jeongyeon and since she doesn’t have any use for it, she gives it away.

One time during the group’s break, one of the recipients of her giveaways messaged her and gave her a hi-touch ticket on Mina’s solo photobook shoot which made Seungyeon jump in joy. She quickly heard footsteps’ approaching her so she quickly closed her browser as the person is standing behind her.  

JY: What happened that made you giddy sis?

Seungyeon looked behind her and her suspicion was right that it was Jeongyeon. Good thing that she learned early to be quick on her toes ever since Jeongyeon saw Seungyeon’s digital diary about her childhood crush that she liked for the longest time and didn’t hear the last of it until Seungyeon finally confessed but things didn’t work out. Seungyeon made a permanent mental note to not let Jeongyeon see whatever she wants to keep secret.

SY: Nothing Jeong. I’m just hyped on a clip that I saw earlier.

JY: Are you watching porn again sis?

Seungyeon quickly stood up and slaps Jeongyeon’s shoulder as the latter winces in pain.

SY: What the hell Jeongyeon. Why would I watch that?

JY: Your hair is getting longer. Nayeon said that the best way to get longer hair naturally is to watch porn.

Seungyeon eyes Jeongyeon, unimpressed.

SY: I don’t know what you kids are snorting but that just doesn’t make any sense.

Jeongyeon is still rubbing the shoulder that Seungyeon slapped. Jeongyeon tries to check on Seungyeon’s computer as she was shocked to see that her desktop wallpaper is Twice.

JY: Since when did you put our group as your wallpaper?

Seungyeon panics for a bit as she tries to come up with something fast as Jeongyeon knows that whenever she responses slowly, she’s lying most of the time.

SY: I mean, I have to support my sister one way or another. Even though I’m not a big fan of your stupid face, I think your group mates looks lovely.

Jeongyeon puts her hands on her waist as she eyes Seungyeon.

JY: So much for being supportive sis.

Seungyeon laughs as she stood up and pushes Jeongyeon out of her room.

SY: I still have stuff to do so you can leave me now. Besides, do you not have any things to do as well?

JY: We are still on break sis unless you forgot. And I do hope that you didn’t forget our trip on the 6^th right?

SY: Of course, why would I forget a trip with my favorite baby sister (She totally forgot about it until today)

Jeongyeon sighs as she leaves Seungyeon.

JY: I hope you don’t left me hanging there sis.

SY: Of course I won’t.

As Jeongyeon left, she went back to her computer and re opens her browser and was sent the information for the online event. She excitedly checks the details on the ticket but her excitement was cut short when she saw the date of the event, it’s on the 6^th at 3pm. Seungyeon panics as she knows Jeongyeon won’t be pleased if she suddenly cancels their plans so she tries to think of a solution.

Seungyeon researched how hi-touch events works so she knows that it will take some time for the initial registration and queueing for the winners so she needs a lot of time for this. She stood up and went to Jeongyeon’s room as she saw her sister playing with her cat, bomb.

SY: Yo Jeong. Something came up on the 6^th. Would it be ok if we somehow move it to dinner?

Jeongyeon turns around and grabs bomb with her.

JY: Let me guess, you are totally lying earlier and you didn’t really remembered our plan on the 6^th.

SY: I remembered. (Just now. LOL) Again, something just came up so I’m unavailable until around late afternoon.

Jeongyeon moves past Seungyeon and went downstairs.

JY: Whatever sis. I’m good as long as it’s your treat.

Seungyeon didn’t really have a choice at the matter so she just sighs in defeat.

SY: Fine. It’s my treat. Just find a place and we’ll meet there. I just hope you don’t find a place where I’ll use most of my paycheck like last time. I’m not as rich and famous as your group are.

Jeongyeon laughs as she places bomb down and gets something to feed the cat.

JY: I’ll try sis. But you know my standards.

Seungyeon hisses as she walks back to her room.

SY: Standards your ass. You just don’t want to spend anything so that you can buy gifts for Mina.

Jeongyeon quickly turns and shouts at the empty corridor upstairs.

JY: Shut up!

Loud laughter was heard from Seungyeon’s room as Jeongyeon grabs the bowl with food for bomb.

The 6^th of December came and Seungyeon was scrambling as it’s her first time on a video call event so she’s not really sure what’s going to happen. She was given a checklist of the girl who gave her the code as she has experienced a video event first because of her. She made sure that her phone is fully charged and her SNS apps are on snooze, also restarted their modem to make sure the connection is good. As she checks everything, she was startled by a knock on her door.

JY: Sis, are you busy? Can we talk for a bit?

Seungyeon panics as she is already set up for the event and of course, Jeongyeon is not aware of what her sister is doing or even the intention of it. She scrambles to hide her setup as she opens the door to her room and saw a somewhat troubled looking Jeongyeon.

SY: What’s cooking, good looking?

Jeongyeon sighs, unimpressed with her sister’s antics as Seungyeon notices that her sister is holding 2 sets of clothing with her.

SY: Well that’s new. Are you thinking of dressing up for our dinner date later?

Jeongyeon looks at her sister cheekily as she looks at the clothes that she is holding.

JY: You wish. Besides, I’m gonna pig out later so I’ll be on my tracksuit. I’m just seeking advice here as you’ve been the most reliable person between the two of us regarding fashion.

Seungyeon looks puzzled at first but she knows that Jeongyeon usually can handle her fashion well unless the latter is either going on an event or be doing something very important. She checks her clock and it’s already 1:45 PM and she needs be logged in at the site at 2PM.

SY: I don’t have much time Jeong. What is this about?

Jeongyeon hesitates at first as Seungyeon notices the redness starting to show on her younger sister’s face.

JY: Mina invited me to hang out tomorrow since it’s been a while that I’ve been with them and I’m wondering what to wear.

Seungyeon should have seen it coming. Of course it’s about Mina. She looks at the clothes. One is a simple black shirt with short sleeves with a beanie and the other is a long sleeved polo that also has a red scarf hanging on the side.

SY: What are you two going to do by the way so I can somewhat decide from your usual crappy options here.

Jeongyeon crosses her arms as she looks angrily at Seungyeon.

JY: My fashion sense doesn’t suck. I just don’t want to be extravagant looking as we’ll just be hanging out, maybe gonna go to a café and shop maybe?

Seungyeon nods as she checks the clothes one last time.

SY: Well if that’s the case, I’ll go with the black shirt. It’s better to be simple and comfortable than flashy but feels crappy.

Jeongyeon nods as she smiles at her sister as she placed the black shirt in front of her. 

JY: I suppose you are right sis. You’re the best.

Seungyeon smugs as she looks at the clock and it shows 1:55 PM.

SY: Your style just sucks. I need to go now. Talk to you later.

Before Jeongyeon can even respond, the door was shut in front of her as hears scrambling noises inside.

JY: That was weird.

As Jeongyeon steps away from Seungyeon’s room, the latter is scrambling to log in to the site and input her information. She made sure that everything is correctly encoded to ensure that things will go smoothly. She sighs in relief when she got the confirmation on her screen and was given a queue number and an ETA for her 1 on 1 with Mina.

She waits patiently as she takes small sips of water as she doesn’t want to parch herself but also doesn’t want to make her bladder explode as her call time is almost up. She checks her timer and it’s down to 15 seconds. She quickly fixed herself and looks at her phone as she awaits Mina.

She jumped in surprise when she heard a buzzer on her phone and a message that shows “Kindly get ready as the artist will be here shortly”. She fixes herself one last time and in a few seconds, Mina showed up on her screen waving at her and she can’t help but smile as she looks at the younger Japanese girl and figured why her sister is head over heels for this girl as even for a first time meeting her, she’s just too damn pretty and she exudes very homey vibes, a feeling of comfort for people that you’ve been with for a long time. She gulps as she tries to collect herself from being overwhelmed by the beautiful lady in front of her.

SY: Hi.

Mina noticed the nervousness from Seungyeon’s face so she initiated the conversation.

MN: Is this your first time doing this?

Seungyeon looks at Mina and was amazed that an idol can be this kind to a stranger.

SY: Yes. I think you can tell. I’m so sorry.

Mina smiles tenderly at her and she quickly noticed the gummy smile that is one of the biggest assets of the timid Japanese idol, calming her down.

MN: No need to apologize. Just imagine that you are talking to your younger sister.

Seungyeon snorts as Mina was puzzled by the sudden reaction from the older girl.

SY: Sorry, I just can’t imagine that to be honest.

Mina was still puzzled as it’s her first time getting a reaction from someone. Mina laughs weakly as she also doesn’t know how to proceed with the conversation which Seungyeon noticed.

SY: Never mind that. I’m a new fan and I love your music. Will you be releasing a new song soon?

Mina was silent for a bit but then she suddenly pouts as Seungyeon was devastated by the girl’s duality of elegance and cuteness.

MN: I’m sorry. I can’t disclose that information so you just need to wait for it.

Seungyeon quickly recalls the main reason for this video call so she needs to move fast as she already ate up half of her time being flustered from the Japanese beauty so she gulps and ask her right away.

SY: I simply can’t help but notice that you are extremely close to your members especially Jeongyeon. Do you like her by any chance?

Mina was shocked by the sudden question but she quickly collects herself and Seungyeon notices the sudden redness that is running to the younger girl’s cheeks. Mina drank from her water bottle as she tries to calm herself down but Seungyeon has a knack of knowing when people are flustered even when they try to hide it and what’s in front of her is a very beautiful flustered mess. Mina gulps deeply and clears her throat then looks back to Seungyeon.

MN: I love all the members since they’ve been supporting me since we started and even during my break. Jeongyeon ~

Mina pauses for a bit as her smile never left her face.

MN: Jeongyeon has been very kind to me. She always asks if I’m ok even during our trainee days. She took care of us and made sure that we are always taken cared off. Even when I was in Japan, she never failed to update me and always asks if I’m ok so my recovery went smoothly thanks to her.

Seungyeon notices the glimmer on Mina’s eyes as she continuously tell her about what Jeongyeon did for her. She feels that Mina is a sucker for small things and Jeongyeon is quite a consistent simp for her so it worked pretty well for the both of them. Mina’s speech was cut off when the buzzer rings signaling the end of their session. She noticed the disappointed expression from the younger girl as she felt that she wants to tell her more so she felt that she need to cheer her up somehow.

SY: I’m so happy that Jeongyeon and the members are treating you well. Our time is up so I hope I can talk to you again in the future Mina. I had fun talking to you.

Mina frown turned upside down when she heard what Seungyeon felt about their conversation.

MN: I also had fun. I hope next time we can talk longer.

SY: Don’t worry. I’ll buy more albums so I can get more chances of talking to you.

MN: You don’t have to ~

Before Mina was able to finish, the session got cut off and now shows “The session is over. You can log out now. See you again next time”

Seungyeon closes the application as she also turns her laptop off and stood up. It was quite a tense moment for a bit but since Mina was very accommodating, her first time hi-touch event went smoothly and she wants to talk to the girl again.

As she walks outside her room, she saw Jeongyeon playing with her dogs.

SY: Yow Jeongmeo!

Jeongyeon looks at her while she rubs Tan’s belly.

JY: What’s with you and your humor today sis?

SY: For someone who has the worst sense of humor in the world, you don’t have a say about how I do things.

JY: Whatever. Are you done with your stuff?

SY: Yeah, it ended pretty quickly so I’m free for the day.

As Seungyeon walks down the stairs, Jeongyeon stood up and drinks from her bottled water.

Jeongyeon was about to finish her water when Seungyeon grabs Tan and plays with him.

SY: Did you confess to Mina already?

Jeongyeon spats her water in front of Seungyeon and Tan that it made Tan run away. Jeongyeon quickly wipes her mouth as she runs to get a mop as Seungyeon wipes her face.  

JY: What the hell sis? Don’t blabber stuff like that all of the sudden.

SY: Don’t change the subject Jeong. Did you already?

Jeongyeon got back and starts mopping the floor.

JY: Not yet.

Seungyeon crossed her arms and looks at Jeongyeon in a very unimpressed manner then she closes her eyes and massaged her temples.

SY: My God Jeongyeon. You’ve been together for more than 6 years. How long will you keep her waiting?

Seungyeon on her frustration said something that she should have not said. She hopes in the Gods that her dumb sister won’t ask her further as she tries to think of something to follow it up but her thoughts was cut off when she noticed that Jeongyeon stops mopping and sat down and her face became serious.

JY: I’m afraid sis ~

Seungyeon was about to ask further but she saw tears starting to build up on Jeongyeon’s eyes so she quickly rushed to the girl and hugs her.

JY: I don’t want to lose her. What if I get rejected and then we feel awkward to each other? I’m not even sure if is she is open to that kind of relationship.

Jeongyeon buries her face on Seungyeon’s shoulder as she hugs her sister tighter.

JY: I want the best for her sis, I really do. And if by any chance that we got together, I can’t fathom what’s going to happen to us and what the public will say about us. I don’t want her to be exposed to that kind of danger.  She just ~

Jeongyeon shakes as she tries to wipe her tears as Seungyeon rubs Jeongyeon’s back to comfort her very distraught sister.

JY: I was so afraid when she was on break. I felt that I could have done better. That I should have protected her better and took care of her. I felt helpless at that time as she was overseas and if something happens, I can’t be there for her. I failed her.

Seungyeon made circles at the back of Jeongyeon and recalls what she just talked about with Mina.

SY: Why are you so stupid Jeong?

Jeongyeon didn’t respond as she continues to whimper on Seungyeon.

SY: Why do you blame yourself for something that you don’t have control of? Everyone has a breaking point and no one can do anything about it. What you can do instead is to be there with the person as they heal and get themselves back up and I believe you did that with her right?

Jeongyeon nods slightly while still leaning on Seungyeon’s shoulder.

SY: Then that’s the best that you can do for her. You see her happy now and healthy and you are a part of it so you better credit yourself for that.

Seungyeon noticed that Jeongyeon is not shaking anymore as she continuously rubs her younger sister’s back.

SY: You can’t take everything by yourself. Look at you blaming yourself for this and for things that might not even happen in the future. Did you consider Mina’s feelings? Do you think she blames you for what she went through? What do you think Mina will feel if she knew that you think this way?

Seungyeon moves back as she weakly laughs at the sight of a crying Jeongyeon  and quickly wipes the latter’s tears and looks at her.

SY: I hope that you get this through your thick skull Jeong. And don’t think about too much as it’s not healthy at your state. And regarding your other concerns, other than thinking about it, why don’t you ask her? There’s no use being bothered with things that are not yet there. I know that she will be glad to help you if things go south and besides, you got your best sister here to back you up so you don’t need to worry. Like what they say “Don’t problem the problem. Let the problem problem you”.

Seungyeon fixes Jeongyeon’s messy hair as she smiles at her sister.

SY: Just get your stupid face there and tell her you love her already. I want to meet my sister in law already.

Jeongyeon’s face turned beet red as she tries to slap Seungyeon’s shoulder but the latter was able to avoid it.

JY: That doesn’t even make any sense sis.

Seungyeon laughs loudly as she moves back.

SY: Like your stupid face.

Before Jeongyeon can chase after her, Seungyeon went upstairs as she goes to her room.

SY: Get you sorry ass ready, we are going out now.

As Seungyeon closes the door on her room, Jeongyeon smiles as she looks at her sister’s room and got reminded again how her sister loves her even if they bicker a lot.

As she goes to her room, she recalls the time that they were kids when their mother kicks them out when they pee on their bedsheets and Seungyeon is always the culprit but not because she did it but because she covers for Jeongyeon until that one time that they are caught red handed so Jeongyeon was the one kicked out and Seungyeon just has to take a picture of the poor kid which resulted to the be one of the younger idol’s iconic pictures.

As the sisters spent the whole afternoon strolling around, they noticed a book store so they went in. As Seungyeon checks random fashion magazines, Jeongyeon went to the cooking section to check for any books that might interest her.

As she browses through the books, she noticed a small table at the corner with different colored bookmarks and as she checks it, it was scented bookmarks. She went through the bookmarks to see if she can buy some for the girls when she noticed a purple bookmark and as she sniffs it, she felt at ease. She’s not sure what scent it was but she was quickly reminded of Mina so she bought the bookmark.

The sisters spent the evening eating on a ramen joint and then stayed at a coffee shop after as they relaxed and chatted away.

As Jeongyeon sips her tea, Seungyeon noticed the item that Jeongyeon bought earlier from the bookstore.

SY: Found something in the bookstore Jeong?

Jeongyeon looks at her puzzled as Seungyeon points on the tip of the bookmark that is showing from Jeongyeon’s bag.

JY: Oh. It’s just a bookmark sis.

SY: You don’t even read books Jeong.

JY: It’s not for me.

Seungyeon smirks as she tickles Jeongyeon that startled the latter.

JY: Stop it sis!

SY: You and your useless gay ass again can’t stop simping for my sister in law.

Jeongyeon started blushing as she hides the bookmark inside her bag.

JY: Stop it! Don’t call her that, you might jinx it.

SY: You stop it! I’m already claiming her as my sister in law and you just have to make it happen or else, I’m going to abandon you and kick you out of the family.

Jeongyeon looks at her all mightily as she grabs her tea.

JY: And who gave you the rights to do that? You know that dad won’t allow it since I’m her favorite daughter.

SY: Favorite daughter your ass Jeong. Once I tell him about your molasses like progress with Mina, he will definitely side with me as she wants her “favorite daughter” to settle already.

Jeongyeon puts her tea down and moved closer to Seungyeon.

JY: Don’t blurt her name here for crying out loud. Someone might hear you and make an issue about it.

Seungyeon smirks as she leans on her chair and sips her coffee.

SY: Then make your move so that it will not be an issue but a fact.

Jeongyeon rubs her temples as she can’t with her sister.

JY: Don’t make this hard for me please.

SY: For crying out loud Jeongyeon, even Nayeon is already pissed at you.

Jeongyeon was surprised at the sudden mention of Nayeon.

JY: The hell? Are you two talking about me?

SY: Well, we do communicate regularly like with Sana and she also updates me if you did something stupid again like overexerting yourself and forcing yourself to join in activities.

Jeongyeon was shocked as she’s not fully aware that Seungyeon is closely monitoring her when she has activities or at work. She smiles as she was once again touched by her sister’s love for her.

JY: You don’t have to do that sis. I’m already old to take care of myself.

SY: Take care yourself your ass. Look at your sorry ass self and tell that to my face again.

JY: You don’t have to be that harsh sis.

Seungyeon moves forward and grabs Jeongyeon’s hand.

SY: I need to be Jeong. Look at what happened to you. Have you even considered our family’s feelings or mine? We gave you the freedom that you want and all we asked before was for you to take care of yourself and look where we at right now.

Jeongyeon noticed the seriousness on her sister’s face.

SY: Did you even thought about what I’ve felt when I suddenly saw you one day with a neck brace and you even have the audacity to try to hide it from me. 

Jeongyeon felt Seungyeon’s hands shake.

SY: And low and behold, your company just announced that you will be on break and they usually announce that kind of stuff when things are severe. I was scared shitless when I heard the news and even mom and dad are furious to the company that they want to sue but I stopped them because this is your dream and I don’t want anyone to take that away from you.  

Seungyeon looked at Jeongyeon, teary eyed.

SY: You don’t tell me if I’m harsh because you are much worse, hiding this from us, from me. We are sisters for crying out loud Jeongyeon. Like what I told you earlier, you don’t have to take it all alone. I’m here Jeongyeon, talk to me please.

Seungyeon’s tears finally fell as she looks at Jeongyeon and caresses the young girl’s hair.

SY: Have I told you that I’m very proud of what you have accomplished Jeongyeon?

Jeongyeon’s eyes quickly tears up as she looks at her sister and realizes her mistake of hiding her condition to her family, all the pain and worry that her family have experienced because of her negligence. She thought that being an adult is to be able to tackle everything by her lonesome but she learned that it was not the case.

JY: I’m really sorry I worried you sis. I thought that I can handle it.

Seungyeon tries to wipe Jeongyeon’s eyes but tears keeps flowing.

SY: I’m sure you will eventually. I believe in you Jeongyeon.

Seungyeon smiles as she continuously wipes Jeongyeon’s eyes.

SY: I already told you my experience when I tried to be an idol. You are aware of what’s supposed to happen and will happen so that you are not caught off guard. Even though our parents are not happy at first at this, I supported you because this is what you want. All I ask for you is to take care of yourself because as much as I want to punch you in the face, you are always my baby sister and nothing in the world can change that. I’m always here for you Jeongyeon. Please always remember that.

Jeongyeon nods as she lunges herself to Seungyeon which surprised the latter. Good thing that there are no patrons on the coffee shop at the moment or someone might have seen the intimate moment between the sisters.

SY: You better treat me to dinner next time. You made me puff my face from too much crying today.

Jeongyeon laughs as they both wipe their tears.

JY: You bet.

As they both cleaned their faces, Jeongyeon looks at Seungyeon tenderly.

JY: Thank you sis. I love you.

Seungyeon barfs as Jeongyeon’s expression changed to an angry one and Seungyeon laughs as she looks at her sister.

SY: Don’t start being sappy to me Jeong. But I love you too.

Jeongyeon calms down as Seungyeon stood up and looks at her sister.

SY: And I also want you to say that to Mina.

Jeongyeon quickly stood up as she tries to grab her sister but was quickly evaded.

JY: I told you to stop it!

Seungyeon laughs as she runs outside the coffee shop with Jeongyeon behind chasing her.

The day after, Jeongyeon is pacing as she waits near their designated meetup place. She should not be this anxious since it’s just the girls with her but it’s been a while since she saw Mina and she can’t stop herself from being excited. As she is deep in her thoughts, she didn’t notice someone coming from behind and covers her eyes. She shrieks in surprise as she struggles to get the hands of her face.  

??: Guess who?!

JY: For the love of God Nayeon, take your gargantuan hands of me. It smells.

Her vision went back as she turns around and sees her good friend and group member Im Nayeon smelling her hands.

NY: Hey Yoo! My hands don’t smell.

JY: It smells like an old person.

Nayeon was quick to slap Jeongyeon’s shoulder as the latter winces in pain. As Jeongyeon massages her shoulder, she heard a familiar giggle beside her and as she turns to her side, her world stopped.

The noise around her was changed to a comfortable calmness as a homey feeling hugs her and for the love of everything holy, she felt blessed seeing an angel in front of her and her name is Mina.

Jeongyeon didn’t notice that she’s been staring for a while and Mina is starting to get flustered as both of them are trapped in their own world. It just sucks that someone nearby is not pleased watching a love struck hopeless romantic ostrich and an ketchup faced penguin so as much as she doesn’t want to ruin the fun, she must put a stop to this or she will endure a whole day staring contest between her two companions.  And since she can’t hurt her precious junior, she went with the only other option as she raises her hand and whacks her out of her trance resulting to a whine of pain from one side and a shocked expression on the other.

JY: Why do you keep hitting me Nayeon?!

Nayeon looks at her, unimpressed.

NY: Sorry Jeong. As much as I love seeing you simp for Mina here, I would highly appreciate if I can also enjoy our trip here.

Before Jeongyeon can respond, Nayeon fled to the nearby store as the two were left alone. Both were silent at first until Mina albeit still red faced, went to Jeongyeon and looked at the older girl’s face, startling her.

MN: Are you ok Jeongyeon? I hope Nayeon didn’t hurt you that much.

Jeongyeon laughs nervously as she somehow felt the pain went away when Mina approached her, thinking that it’s natural for an angel to have a healing effect or something.

JY: Don’t worry Mina. I’m fine. You look beautiful as always.

When she thought that she already recovered, Mina went back to her flustered self and without thinking, she hits Jeongyeon on the same shoulder where Nayeon slapped her earlier making the latter wince in pain yet again.

JY: Oh God my poor arm!

Mina panics as she absentmindedly holds Jeongyeon’s arm and massages it.

MN: Oh my God. I’m very sorry Jeongyeon.

Of course, Jeongyeon was not hurt as Mina, even on her earnest, can’t hurt a fly. She concluded that that that is how divine Mina’s touches are unlike Nayeon’s hellish slaps.

JY: I’m joking. I’m good Mina.

Mina sighs in relief as she made sure that there is no redness on Jeongyeon’s arm.

MN: Please don’t startle me like that.

JY: I’m sorry. You’re just cute when you are flustered.

MN: Jeongyeon!

Jeongyeon laughs as she walks forward then stops and looks behind her, giving her hand to Mina.

JY: Come on Mitang. That old hag might blow her fuse if we don’t go to her right away.

Mina smiles as she grabs Jeongyeon’s hand and they went to the store where Nayeon went, both red faced and still trapped in their own tiny world.

Seungyeon was reading a magazine when she heard the door open and saw a very smiley Jeongyeon enter their house. She quickly tossed the magazine away and went to tease her sister.

SY: Someone is happy. Did you confess already Jeong?

Jeongyeon’s smile faded when she gets welcomed with her sister’s teasing.

JY: You just have to kill the mood sis. Ugh.

Seungyeon grabs Jeongyeon by the hand and drags her to the couch and pushes her on it as she sits beside her.

SY: Seriously? I thought we already discussed about this Jeongyeon. What’s your excuse now?

JY: I need to prepare for that sis. Besides, Nayeon is with us so you know that it’s utter chaos with her.

Seungyeon rubs her temples as she looks at her younger sister.

SY: That blasted bunny. You should have told me that she was there so I can drag her away.

JY: Come on sis. Even if I hate her guts, Nayeon is my good friend and it’s actually good that she was there so at least I know that Mina will have someone to accompany her back to our dorms.

Seungyeon leans back as she grabs the magazine that she was reading earlier. Jeongyeon stood up and was going up to her room but was suddenly stopped by Seungyeon who is still browsing on her magazine.

SY: Did she like it?

Jeongyeon smiles as she grabs her bag.

JY: Yes, she said she liked it.

SY: That’s good. Now get your stinky ass cleaned so we can have dinner.

Jeongyeon sniffed herself as she walks upstairs.

JY: I’m not stinky for your information.

As Jeongyeon left, Seungyeon throws the magazine and looks at her sister with a smile on her face.

Comeback season came and Seungyeon, like always, went ahead and crawled through the buy and sell sites to get albums to have an opportunity again to talk to Mina and as if lady luck was on her side, she got 2 for Mina so she has more time to talk to her.

Since it was her second time, it was smoother this time and she knows what she needs to do and she also has to be quick since unlike her photobook hi-touch, the member hi-touch for their album is much shorter. Good thing that Jeongyeon was part of the event so there’s a very minimal chance of her being exposed. She just hopes that Mina is not seating beside Jeongyeon or she’ll be busted.

She readies herself as the timer counts down and as the screen clears out and Mina’s face showed up, the younger girl was ecstatic to see Seungyeon again.

MN: Oh gosh. I remember you.

Seungyeon smiles as she also felt the very familiar homey feeling from the younger girl.

SY: I told you that we’ll talk again.

Mina displays her signature gummy smile as she looks at Seungyeon.

MN: Thank you for supporting us. I really appreciate it.

SY: No worries. I like you guys.

Seungyeon went directly to her objective since time is already ticking.

SY: So how are you? Did anything happen recently that’s exciting?

Mina tilts her head and Seungyeon noticed how this girl caught her sister’s undying attention as she is just too adorable even when she is thinking very hard.

MN: uhmm, nothing much really. I went strolling with Nayeon and Jeongyeon a couple of days ago and I enjoyed that since it’s been a while since we’ve seen Jeongyeon.

Seungyeon smiles as she now has the perfect chance to transition to her objective.

SY: Do you miss her?

Seungyeon noticed the sadness on the younger girl’s eyes and she wonders if it’s because of her question or because their time is up. Seungyeon waves as she smiles to the girl.

SY: I’ll get your answer later. Talk to you soon.

Before the screen fades, Seungyeon saw the puzzled expression on Mina’s face. Well, she would also feel the same if a stranger suddenly asked you something that’s too personal.

Seungyeon waits for her turn again since her second ticket was queued later than her first one.

The girls was on break for a bit since they’ve been doing the video calls for a while now and as Mina sips her water, she pans around to see what the others are doing. Nothing out of the ordinary as Chaeyoung, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung are browsing some funny stuff on their phone while Momo and Sana are talking about their plans later and Jihyo rubbing her temple as she is between Jeongyeon and Nayeon as they bicker on random stuff like any other day. She smiles as she sees Jeongyeon smiling and it makes her happy that the girl is with them after a while. She knows that they just went together a couple of days ago but her longing for the older girl can’t be quenched that easily.

As their managers informed them that their break will be over in 5 mins, the girls fixes themselves and starts to go back to their respective seats. Mina was looking at Jeongyeon intently that she jumps in surprise when the older girl was able to finally notice that Mina is looking at her. Jeongyeon smiles as she waves at Mina, making the younger girl blush a bit as she reciprocates with her gummy smile to the older girl. Their eye contact was interrupted when their managers asked them to reopen the application that they were using for the event.

As Mina talks to multiple fans, Seungyeon’s question lingers on her mind. The answer to the question is quite apparent and she can’t wait to talk to the girl again. As her last call just ended, she checks her bag and a familiar bookmark is inside it, making her smile more as she recalls the flustered Jeongyeon giving it to her a couple of days ago. She didn’t expect anything from the older girl and it’s quite nice that it’s in her favorite color and the scent is also one of her favorite scents and wonders how Jeongyeon knew about it.

Mina was pulled out of her trance when she heard the alarm indicating that another fan will be talking to her and was shocked and happy to see a familiar face on the screen, it was Seungyeon again.

SY: Miss me?

Mina smiles as she nods on the older girl.

MN: I never thought that I’ll be talking to you this soon.

SY: Told you I’ll get your answer later and here I am now.

Mina suddenly recalls their earlier conversation as she quickly grabs her bag and like a kid showing her mom her drawing from class, she excitedly shows Seungyeon the bookmark that Jeongyeon gave her a couple of days ago.

Seungyeon smiles as she saw the glimmer on Mina’s eyes and felt that the young girl’s earnest feelings for her dumb sister. She’s a bit frustrated that it’s so apparent that Mina has feelings for Jeongyeon and is already thinking of ways to make her sister finally do justice to everyone and confess to Mina.

Mina moves the bookmark around that it’s already blocking the camera and Seungyeon can’t help but laugh how cute an excited Mina is. She knows what it is but she just played dumb to see what the younger girl will say about it.

SY: It’s blocking the camera. What is that?

Mina moves the bookmark back as the camera shows half her face and the other half is the bookmark.

MN: Jeongyeon gave this to me when we were together a couple of days ago.

Mina’s cheeks started to blush as she recalls the memory.

MN: Jeongyeon gave this to me out of the blue. She told me that she was with her sister and when she saw this, she was quickly reminded of me.

Mina’s smile widens as she continue on.

MN: This is just so Jeongyeon. She surprises me out of the blue with random stuff but she always told me that it somewhat reminds her of me and ~

Mina hesitated for a bit as she looks around and moves forward towards the screen.

MN: I know Jeongyeon does this with the other members as well but it always excites me whenever she does this to me. I know it’s childish and all but I don’t know, somewhat I always look forward for the next thing that Jeongyeon will remind her of me. And coincidentally, the bookmark is jasmine scented which is one of my favorite scents as it soothes me and now, I will remember Jeongyeon when I smell this.

Seungyeon can’t help herself but smile earnestly as the young girl is comfortable with her, baring her feelings for her younger sister and it’s obvious that this girl is so in love with her sister. She told herself that she must do drastic measures to get this two together as they are wasting time skedaddling into their feelings. 

SY: That’s so amazing that Jeongyeon was able to make you smile like this. I hope that she continuously makes you happy and I hope that you will have a great relationship together.

When Seungyeon thought that Mina can’t be redder than she currently is then she was proven wrong as the girl looks like she is about to explode as her cheeks puff with cute redness as the young girl checks her surroundings and moves forward and whispers to Seungyeon.

MN: I hope so to.

And just like that, Seungyeon got all marks checked as this young girl is definitely in love with her sister. As the timer beeps, she saw Mina’s smile fade away again. Seungyeon already knows what to do so she smiles as she waves to the young girl.

SY: Well, I had fun. I’m rooting for you two. I’ll talk to you again in the near future.

Mina smiled as she is also happy talking to Seungyeon and for some reason, she is getting a familiar feeling of excitement to converse with the older girl like how she feels towards Jeongyeon.

MN: I also had fun. I’m looking forward to our next conversation.

Mina waves at the screen with her gummy smile as the screen shifts to the notification that the session has ended.

If her first conversation isn’t enough evidence that second one is. She knows that she must do something for those poor souls to finally find each other and she needs to do it fast or else, things might go for the worse.

Amidst Mina’s interview, Nayeon is beside Mina and was able to see a glimpse of the younger girl’s and was intrigued on who she was talking to that made her feel that way. She checks the screen but she only saw the screen a second before the call ended and only saw that it was a girl but she wasn’t able to distinguish Seungyeon. She looks at Mina and the latter was able to feel the older girl’s prying eyes on her.

MN: Hey Nayeon. What’s up?

NY: Who are you talking to? You seem very happy with her.

Mina smiles but was quickly switched into a face of confusion.

MN: Now that I think about it, I wasn’t able to ask for her name. She was a new fan that I started chatting during my photobook event and I just felt comfortable with her.

Nayeon’s brow rises as she checks how the young girl shines after her last fan conversation.

NY: I see. That’s nice to hear that you have a fan that you look forward to talking again.

MN: I don’t know why but we just hit it off. She’s so fun to talk to. I wish that we could talk longer as I feel comfortable talking to her like I talk to you and the other members.

NY: Well, she might be really special if you of all people enjoy talking to someone.

Nayeon checks the other members around as she stood up and took her belongings.

NY: We did great today Mitang. Get your stuff so we can go home.

MN: Thank you Nayeon. I’ll be there shortly.

Nayeon has thoughts running to her head as she checks her surroundings and Mina is just doing her business, not minding the prying Nayeon beside her. Nayeon’s assuming ass is getting the best of her and she knows that she needs to let a specific someone know about this, not knowing that  the reason that Mina is happy talking to that fan is because  she can share her thoughts freely and safely of that same person that Nayeon is tediously looking for.

Nayeon smiles at the young girl as she left her and looks for a specific member to check upon. Nayeon quickly spotted her and quickly run to her as the other person is still cleaning her stuff.

NY: Yo Jeong. How are you feeling? Are you tired?

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon and smiles.

JY: I’m good Nabongs. Thanks for asking. Are we going now?

NY: Not yet. Mina and Chaeng are still on their tables.

Nayeon checks on Mina then looks back at Jeongyeon.

NY: By the way, I just want to tell you something about Mina that you might be interested.

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon but then went back to cleaning her belongings. Nayeon was irritated with the disinterest of the latter so she just blurted it out.

NY: I think Mina is in love with one of her fans.

Jeongyeon quickly stops what she is doing and looks at Mina then at Nayeon as the older girl smirks at her.

NY: Told you that you’ll be interested.

JY: What do you mean?  How did you know? Did she tell you or you forced her to tell you that?

Nayeon sat beside Jeongyeon as the latter looks at Mina nervously.

NY: Why would I force her to tell me something like that? I just know by looking at her. I noticed earlier that she’s very eager on her last call today. We’ve been together for a while now and I rarely see Mina this enthusiastic talking to a fan other than kids and us.

Jeongyeon gulps as she finishes fixing her stuff and she stands up and looks around nervously.

JY: Maybe they just have a common interest Nabongs. I also have fans that I also enjoy talking to.

Nayeon stood up as she grabs her bag and was about to leave but looks back at Jeongyeon.

NY: Whatever you want to believe Jeongyeon. I just want to let you know. I just hope that Mina doesn’t fall in love with her since you take too damn slow to get your act together.

Before Jeongyeon can respond, Nayeon turns around and quickly runs to Chaeyoung and pesters the younger girl.

Jeongyeon stood still as she was deep in thought but was awoken from her daze when she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder and as she blinks, it was Mina looking worried at her.

MN: Are you ok Jeongyeon? Did our event tire you out? Is there anything you need?

Jeongyeon shakes her head and looks at Mina.

JY: Why are you all so worried about me? Earlier it was Nayeon and then now you?

Jeongyeon was still on edge after what Nayeon told her as she slaps herself internally when she saw the younger girl expression dampens.

JY: I’m so sorry Mitang. I didn’t mean to.

Jeongyeon rubs her nape as she calms herself down.

JY: Maybe a bit tired but I’m ok. Thank you for asking.

Jeongyeon didn’t know what to do so she just held Mina’s hand which surprised the latter as she looks at her.

JY: Sorry about earlier. Shall we go?

Mina’s smiles at her as she felt at ease seeing the younger girl smile again.

MN: Ok Jeongyeon. Let’s go.

The two went ahead outside the venue not knowing that Nayeon is watching them from afar as she smirks and chats with Chaeyoung before leaving with the younger girl.

Jeongyeon went directly home after the event and sat on their couch as she rests her eyes while still thinking about what Nayeon told her earlier. She didn’t pry about it to Mina as she doesn’t want to make a big deal out of it but low and behold, she’s being bothered by it to the point that she didn’t even notice that someone just came in to their house.

As Seungyeon enters their house, she quickly notices her younger sister sitting on the couch and she wants to surprise her but as she approaches Jeongyeon, she noticed the frown on her sister’s face so she ditched her initial plan and just goes straight to her.

SY: Hey Jeong, you ok?

Jeongyeon was startled for a bit but calms down when she saw Seungyeon’s serious face looking at her.

JY: I’m fine sis. I’m just tired from the event.

Seungyeon sat beside Jeongyeon as she puts her palm on the latter’s forehead.

SY: Seems normal. That’s good.

JY: I told you I’m fine sis.

Seungyeon felt Jeongyeon’s irritation and as much as she doesn’t want to, she needs to know as this might affect her sister in the long run if the latter chooses to hide her feelings again to her.

SY: What’s wrong Jeongyeon?

Jeongyeon stayed silent as Seungyeon observes her younger sister. She waited for the younger girl as she saw Jeongyeon’s hands shake. She quickly holds Jeongyeon’s hand as she rubs circles on it. Seungyeon stayed silent until she saw Jeongyeon’s expression slowly calms down.

Jeongyeon was hesitant but she remembers her discussion with Seungyeon before so she collects herself and looks at her older sister.

JY: I know this is stupid but Nayeon told me earlier that Mina was talking to a fan earlier and for some reason is that she is very happy talking to that person.

Seungyeon thinks for a moment as she looks at Jeongyeon’s worried face.

SY: Isn’t that normal? I mean you should have at least a couple of fans that you get to talk often and all.

JY: I know. But Nayeon said that Mina told her that she was so comfortable to that person like how she is comfortable with us and that is quite unusual for her as she put a line between her and her fans.  

Seungyeon knows that Jeongyeon is still not saying everything so she puts a mental note to talk to Nayeon later if the latter doesn’t open up to her.

JY: And Nayeon said to get my act together or Mina might fall for that person.

Seungyeon holds Jeongyeon’s hand as she looks at her poor sister. She facepalmed internally and scraps her earlier mental note and makes a new one. Strangle that annoying bunny when you have a chance.

Seungyeon moves her hand to Jeongyeon’s face as she moves it to make it face her.

SY: Did Mina mention anything about this fan to you?

Jeongyeon shakes her head.

SY: Then down worry about it. It’s normal for people, even the distant ones, to find someone to talk to comfortably. They do say that sometimes, it’s better to talk to strangers as you can get their genuine reaction to the stuff that you talk to. Maybe Mina is like that. Besides, I don’t think anyone else can make her happy like you do.

Jeongyeon quickly looks at Seungyeon, puzzled.

JY: How do you know sis?

Seungyeon panics for a bit, thinking of the best way to thread through this without exposing herself. It’s apparent that Mina has feelings for Jeongyeon and Jeongyeon needs to know this one way or another. She just went with the most genuine answer and hopes that Jeongyeon doesn’t question her more.

SY: I know you Jeongyeon. You strive to make the people around you happy and treasured. You prioritize everyone before you and you don’t take anyone for granted. As much as my guts hates me to say this but you are one of the most nicest people that I know and for someone that you care for like Mina, I know that those efforts are tenfold.

Jeongyeon nods as she rubs her hand for a bit then looks at Seungyeon seriously.

JY: Sis. I’m afraid to lose her.

SY: I know.

JY: I think it’s time.

Seungyeon’s eyes widen as she looks at the determined face of her sister.

SY: What do you mean?

JY: I’m going to confess to her.

Seungyeon stood up and jumps for joy as she grabs Jeongyeon, making the latter stand up as well, as she hugs her younger sister as they both jumps around.

SY: Oh my God Jeongyeon. I’m so happy for you. Don’t worry. I’ll be here to help you out.

JY: Thank you sis. I’m still afraid but what scares me more is the thought of losing Mina.

SY: Be brave. It will be a rough road but you are not alone. You got the best wing woman in history.

JY: I don’t know if I’ll be at ease or more afraid knowing that.

Seungyeon pushes Jeongyeon to their couch.

SY: Hey! If I’m not happy right now, I’m gonna spank your sorry ass but you better get that ass working instead so get ready, we’re gonna go all out.

JY: Please calm yourself sis. I don’t want to make a ruckus about this. I want to do it as discreetly as possible.

Seungyeon looks at Jeongyeon as she places her hands on her hips.

SY: Of course. We’ll do this as quietly as possible.

Jeongyeon looks worried as she sees Seungyeon’s face like a criminal mastermind thinking of doing the greatest heist of all time.

JY: For the love of God sis, calm yourself.

SY: Nope. I’ve waited a long time for you to finally get your act together so I’ll make sure to make this work, one way or another.

Seungyeon grabs her bag and starts walking upstairs to her room.

SY: Rest up Jeong. We’re going to do a lot of planning to get my sister in law. I’ll just change and then let’s eat something shortly.

Jeongyeon leans to their couch somewhat regretting her trigger happy mouth but a part of her is also excited and optimistic after what Seungyeon said earlier.

Seungyeon went out of her way to ask her fellow actresses for tips on how to court as she is also inexperienced on it but she has to help Jeongyeon one way or another. Mostly given tips are just being themselves, focus on the small things since it makes a big difference, just be with the person when they are in need and such, so basically she didn’t get any help at all.

Jeongyeon, even if by little steps, starts to be more attentive to Mina than usual that the younger girl was surprised by it at first but likes it nonetheless. The younger girl loves how the older girl held her hand and even if the other members are teasing them, she doesn’t let go.

As the girls do to their regular dance practice, Jeongyeon visits them and the other girls already knows that the only reason that she’s there even if she’s on break is because of Mina.

While the others are doing their own business, Jeongyeon is sitting beside Mina as she just sits idly just holding the younger girl’s hand. Mina looks at Jeongyeon who is deep in thought as the latter is still thinking about what Nayeon told her on their previous video call event.

MN: Hey Jeongyeon, are you ok?

Jeongyeon was awakened from her daze by the soft voice of Mina as she looks at the younger girl and continuously hold’s Mina’s hand.

JY: I’m ok Mina. Don’t worry about me.

MN: You know that you don’t need to be here since you are still on break right?

JY: I know. But I don’t have anything to do. Besides, I miss you.

Mina’s face reddens upon hearing what the older girl said.

MN: You miss me?

JY: Yeah. I’m used to seeing you every day and now that it’s not possible, I keep thinking about you and its driving me nuts so might as well be here so that I can keep myself sane and so I can see you, 2 birds one stone I guess?

Mina chuckles as she looks tenderly at Jeongyeon.

MN: I miss you too Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon can’t help herself from smiling brightly which made Mina happy as well.

As the two are having their moment, an ominous presence approaches the two.

NY: I’m sorry to disturb you love birds but as much as I enjoying puking my guts out seeing you two being all lovey dovey and all, Jihyo told me that we’ll be resuming our practice in a few.

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon who’s smirking at her as Mina quickly stood up and let go of Jeongyeon’s hand.

MN: I guess we’ll be practicing now Jeongyeon. Talk to you later?

As much as Jeongyeon felt sad when Mina let’s go, she smiles at the young girl as just being around her makes her day already better and she doesn’t want to make the young girl sad.

JY: Yeah. I’ll hang around here for a bit. I’m also trying to learn the choreography just in case.

Mina smiles as she grabs her drink and waddles her way to the other members.

As Jeongyeon looks at how Mina cutely went to the other members, Nayeon is still behind her as the latter has witnessed the exchange between the two.

NY: Looks like someone is finally making a move.

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon as she stands up and stretches her back.

JY: I still have doubts with what you said before during the video call event but you made me realize something Nay, I don’t want to lose her.

Jeongyeon was shocked when Nayeon suddenly hugs her.

NY: Oh my fucking God Yoo Jeongyeon. I’m so happy to hear that from you. Just let me know if you need my help or anything, you know I have my way to know things.

Jeongyeon smiles as she hugs Nayeon back since as much as a drag being Nayeon’s friend, she knows that the older girl loves her like her sister.

JY: For the love of everything holy Nayeon, don’t go and snoop around her. I’ll do this my own way. But thank you as always.

Nayeon was puzzled by what Jeongyeon said, not knowing that Jeongyeon is thanking her for always taking care of her especially during her hard times.

NY: Anytime Jeongyeon. I’ll be going now. Just grab a chair and see how I nail this choreography faster than you.

Jeongyeon laughs as the two lets go of their hug.

JY: You wish old hag. You know you are as much as bad as me on this.

Jeongyeon laughs as she saw Nayeon’s pissed expression as she goes to the other members.

Since it will be their first comeback for the year, they are utterly busy. And even if it’s a sad thing to happen, working on their birthdays is not that unusual for the group. It happened last year for Chaeyoung and now, it was Mina’s. Even if they are dead tired from their practice, Mina decided to do a birthday broadcast since it’s one of her small ways to give back to hers and the group’s supporters.

As the members went home, Mina stayed on the company building as she went through her broadcast not knowing that someone is watching her from just outside the room where the youngest Japanese is sharing her special day with her fans.

The live broadcast went like usual, the fans saying that they love her, asking her to sing, asking for some spoilers for the next comeback, some asking for the other members. As the girl outside watches the broadcast from her phone, she notices some comments asking Mina to try to call the other members. The girl outside became restless as Mina did this on her birthday broadcast last year as well and Mina noticed the comment as well and since it was already almost midnight when she started her live broadcast, she politely declined to do it since she knows that all the girls are tired already and most probably already resting on their dorm which made the girl outside sigh in relief.

After an hour or so, Mina says her goodbyes to the fans who were with her throughout the broadcast. Since it’s already midnight, most of the lights are already turned off on the building other than the lights that is left on for her so it’s a bit dim. 

As she traverses to the dim corridor, she was surprised when something light up in front of her. As her eyes adjust to the sudden change in lighting, she saw the candles that were light up on top of a small cake shaped like a penguin and Mina smiled as she saw the person who is holding the cake who is also stupidly smiling back at her. She waddles her way towards the one who is holding the cake and as she is in front of her, she displays her signature gummy smile which made the other person smile as well. It was none other than Jeongyeon.

MN: Why are you still here Jeongyeon?

Without answering, Jeongyeon dips her finger on the side of the cake and quickly pokes Mina’s nose, leaving traces of icing on it making the younger girl pout as she laughs gleefully which made Mina smile afterwards as she loves seeing the older girl laughing.

Shortly, Jeongyeon grabs a tissue and quickly cleans the icing off Mina’s nose. As she puts the used tissue on her pocket, she looks back to Mina.

JY: Happy birthday Mina. Well more on belated since it’s already late and all but you know what I mean.

Mina laughs as she can’t get enough of the older girl’s humor, even if the other members are pointing out that Jeongyeon’s sense of humor is so bad and Mina is just too nice.

MN: Thank you Jeongyeon. You should have told me so I ended my broadcast earlier.

JY: Nah, if I tell you then it won’t be a surprise then right?

MN: I suppose.

They looked at each other for a bit then Jeongyeon moved the cake in front of Mina.

JY: The candles are starting to melt. Better get your wish now.

Mina nods as she closes her eyes as Jeongyeon looks at the girl in front of her and thinks that even with the dim surroundings, it’s still impossible to hide Mina’s beauty.

Jeongyeon was awoken from her daze when Mina opens her eyes and blows her birthday candles as she looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: Seriously Jeongyeon, I really appreciate it. I’m not expecting anyone to show up since we are all dead tired from earlier. As much as I am happy that you are here, you could’ve done this on our dorm instead so you can at least rest up especially on your case.

Jeongyeon smiles as even though it was Mina’s birthday that they are celebrating, the younger girl is more concerned for her. Jeongyeon holds the cake with one hand as she moves her other hand on Mina’s head as she head pats Mina and thinks to herself “I will do anything for this girl”.

JY: Don’t worry Mina. I’m not that tired since I’m not practicing as hard as you guys. Besides~

Jeongyeon pauses for a bit as Mina looks at her.

JY: I want to do this just between the two of us.

Mina blushes as she noticed the serious expression from Jeongyeon who is looking at her like she is looking through her soul.

Mina nervously laughs as tries to keep her composure.

MN: I see.

Jeongyeon quickly smiles as she felt the younger girl tense up which made the younger girl smile.

JY: By the way, I’m not sure if you will like it but I got you something.

Jeongyeon quickly grabs a small paper bag on the bench near where they are standing and gave it to Mina.

Mina gleefully accepts the gift as excitement kicks in like when you open a gift for Christmas. She gently removes the packaging and a perfume was inside the paper bag. It was an Ikat Jasmine floral fragrance perfume by Aerin Lauder.

Just when Jeongyeon thought that Mina couldn’t get any brighter, the smile that the girl shows can just light up the whole world in a cloudy night.

MN: Oh my god! I’ve been looking for this specific perfume for quite a while now. How did you know that I love this?

Jeongyeon might just be the luckiest girl in the world. She was just looking for similar scents like the bookmark that she gave Mina before and this specific one has good reviews and referrals from people that she knows and one of them is Seungyeon.

JY: To be honest, I don’t know. I just thought that since you mentioned that you liked the scent of the bookmark that I gave you before so I looked up similar scents like that and that’s how I found that.

Mina placed the perfume back to the paper bag as she looks dearly at Jeongyeon.

MN: Thank you very much Jeongyeon. I really love it.

Jeongyeon absent mindedly mutters ~

JY: I love you too.

Jeongyeon panics as she realizes what she just said. She looks at Mina nervously as the younger girl placed the paper bag on her side. Fortunately for her, Mina was still overwhelmed by her gift so the younger girl looks at her.

MN: I’m sorry. I spaced out for a bit. What did you say Jeongyeon?

Jeongyeon sighs deeply as she looks at the clock and its past 1am already.

JY: I think it’s time to go home now since we still have some practice later.

MN: Ok. Thank you again Jeongyeon.

JY: No problem. Let’s go.

Mina nods as she held on Jeongyeon’s arm as they both walked to the elevator.

As the next comeback went through, the fans were happy to see that Jeongyeon was able to participate on some music shows and appearances. It was rough for Jeongyeon since she’s still not 100% fine but with Mina on her side, the other members support and the love that the fans gave her made her power through it.

Unfortunately, she has to miss the latter part of the promotions as Jihyo and Nayeon noticed Jeongyeon’s is already having a hard time and even the fans are starting to notice it so they all decided to halt her participation which was accepted by everyone and the fans showered her with mind blowing support as they wish her to get well soon.

After the local comeback that they had, they have a couple of weeks to prepare for their overseas comeback so the group was given some off time after their recent promotions and also to rest up for their upcoming overseas release.

It will be another overseas comeback and that only means that there will be another video call event and like with the previous events, Seungyeon frantically looked around for another opportunity to get to talk to Mina and unlike the previous ones, even the people that helped her before wasn’t able to secure any video call slots as the company has decided to lessen the amount of fans that will get a chance for it to not exhaust the girls of their already hectic schedule.

She scoured for days and also bought an already larger quantity of albums than usual in her desperate attempt to talk to Mina again. The overseas comeback already started and she still hasn’t secured any video call slots. She thought of asking Jeongyeon but that would just be too obvious so she didn’t go through with it. It was only a few days away from the video call event and Seungyeon did everything that she could but to no avail. She was about to give up when a familiar name popped out of her phone as she quickly answered it.

SY: Hi. What’s up?

She silently listens to the person on the other line.

SY: I see. Thanks for letting me know.

She thinks for a moment.

SY: By the way, would it be possible if ~

The girls are frantic as usual since it would be another video call event and even if the quantities of fans are lessened, it will still be exhausting. They have mixed feelings about the sudden change because even though they are already tired as it is, their fans gave them energy and with all the things happening recently, they can’t meet up with fans face to face so this kinds of events are their only means to personally keep in touch with their fans other than social media.

It will still an almost whole day event since even though the quantity of fans are lessened, the duration of each talks are extended to compensate for the small number of slots.

Unfortunately, Jeongyeon won’t be able to attend as they decided to let her rest instead so it’s just the 8 girls on the venue as of the moment. Even if she knows that it’s for the better for Jeongyeon to rest up, Mina just can’t help but long for the older girl since they are still on a state where she doesn’t see Jeongyeon that often as she is currently resting and missing most of their activities.

As Nayeon is fixing her make-up, she noticed the gloomy feeling surrounding the girl sitting beside her. She quickly sat up and went to the girl in question.

NY: Hey Minari, can you help me with my make-up?

Mina looks at the older girl as she nods and grabs a small chair beside her to let Nayeon sit as the older girl gave Mina her make-up kit.

As Mina tinkers with Nayeon’s make-up kit, Nayeon observes the younger girl. Mina grabs a blush on and starts putting it on the older girl’s face. As Mina is applying the make-up, she can definitely see the sadness on the younger girl’s eyes so it piqued her interest and for everyone that knows Nayeon, they know that the older girl doesn’t let any stones unturned when she gets curious.

NY: Are you ok Mina?

Mina suddenly stops as she looks at Nayeon for a bit as she smiles then continues on applying the make-up on the older girl.

MN: I’m ok Nayeon. Why do you ask?

Even though Mina looks like an angel as always, Nayeon knows each member’s personalities and even if they try to hide it, she always knows. Behind the usual staple smile that Mina shows her, she knows better. She knows that the younger girl is hiding something. Nayeon always has a knack of knowing if someone is hiding something as her curiosity is through the roof and sometimes, it gets her to trouble as the other members aren’t a big fan of Nayeon not minding her own business.

NY: You can’t fool me Mina. I know that face. I’ve been with you for almost 7 years so I know you are hiding something from me Mina. You know that you can talk to me about anything right? Well, unless you don’t want to share it then it’s fine.

Mina stops on what she’s doing as she puts down Nayeon’s make-up and placed her hands together on her knees.

MN: I’m just sad Nayeon. That’s all.

Nayeon gave herself an internal high five as she knows that she still has it but disregarded her celebration right away because of what she just learned.

NY: Why? Is there anything that I can do to help you?

Mina shakes her head as she sadly smiles at her senior.

MN: Don’t worry about it Nayeon. I’ll be better after talking to our fans later. I hope.

Mina sadly chuckles as she tries to grab again the make-up but was stopped by Nayeon.

NY: Is there something bothering you or someone?

Mina puts her hands on her lap as she looks down again as Nayeon leans forward so that she is looking directly at Mina’s face which startled the younger girl for a bit as she leans back to her chair.

MN: I don’t want to make a big fuzz about this but ~

Mina looks around nervously to check if someone might hear her and as soon as she determines that there will be none, she looks back at Nayeon.

MN: I just terribly miss Jeongyeon for some reason.

Nayeon was shocked for a bit as the younger girl almost never opens up about her feelings as she prefers to keep everything to herself. She is quite touched that Mina opened up to her other than the times when Nayeon pesters her to the point that they almost had a fight.

Nayeon sighs deeply then laughs looking at a flustered Mina who’s trying to make the older girl stay quiet. Mina is somewhat panicking as she thinks if it’s a bad idea to let Nayeon know about this as the older girl can be utterly loud most of the time.

MN: Please Nayeon, don’t be too loud. People might be curious or something and I don’t want to make this a big deal.

Nayeon quickly stops laughing as she smiles and looks at the younger girl.

NY: Why are you so cute Mina? I don’t want to disregard your feelings at all but I was worried for a bit but it turns out our tiny penguin is missing her stupid little ostrich.

Mina’s looks around nervously as she already regrets opening up to Nayeon but was shocked when the older girl’s smile fades as she looks at her.

NY: I’m sorry Mina. I’m not making fun of you or anything or so it seems but I’m just happy that you opened up to me and also about the reason you became this pouting mess. You should have told me earlier so I was able to do something about it.

Mina was confused for a bit as she tries to calm down and also ponders about what Nayeon told her. 

MN: Like I told you Nayeon, it’s fine. I don’t really know why. I just miss her presence. I don’t really understand myself lately. I just always think about her for no apparent reason.

Nayeon held Mina’s shaking hands.

NY: Then why don’t you call her? I don’t think she is doing anything recently as far as I know.

MN: I don’t want to bother her. She should be resting right now.

Nayeon smiles as she looks at the troubled Mina in front of her.

NY: Do you think that she will be bothered at all if you call her? I bet you she will be ecstatic if you call her.

MN: I don’t know. I just don’t want to ~

Nayeon squeezed Mina’s hand halting the younger girl from continuing what she is saying.

NY: Mina, don’t ever think that you are a bother ok? We are a family here. If you need to talk to anyone, don’t hesitate to call us. For crying out loud Mina, we’ve been through this. We already told you way back to not bottle everything on you own right?

Mina noticed that it was Nayeon’s hand that is shaking.

NY: After what happened to you before, I’ve contemplated hard on what could have I done. I felt so useless since I’m with you all this time yet I can’t even be there when you needed me the most.

Mina notices the tears forming on Nayeon’s eyes.

NY: Mina, I love you like a sister as I love that stupid ostrich, that dancing machine airhead, that gay snake, that loudmouth midget, that chocolate loving tofu, that rebellious tiger and that very scary tower of an angel that we have as our youngest. Don’t even think for a second that you are a bother to us. I’m here for you as all the girls are.

Nayeon wasn’t able to stop her tears from falling as Mina is also teary eyed as she scrambles to look for a tissue to wipe Nayeon’s tears.

Nayeon shakily laughs as she tries to compose herself.

NY: Oh God, now my make-up is really ruined.

Mina gives Nayeon more tissues as the latter is trying to carefully salvage the remains of her make-up.

MN: I’m really sorry Nayeon. I don’t know what I’m thinking. I’m so used on bottling everything up that I didn’t notice that you are worrying about me.

Nayeon finally was able to stop crying as she quickly took a mirror and look at herself for a second the looks at Mina afterwards that made the latter laugh which shocked Nayeon.

MN: I’m really sorry Nayeon but you look funny.

Nayeon looks at the mirror again and laughs.

NY: Dang it, just when we are about to start the event.

Mina quickly gets some make-up and moves forward to Nayeon.

MN: Let’s get your face pretty again Nayeon. Again, I’m sorry.

Nayeon puts the mirror down and looks at Mina.

NY: I’m always pretty so there’s really nothing we can really do about that.

Mina shakes her head as she laughs at the older girl.

MN: I guess you are Nayeon.

Nayeon leans forward to let Mina help her fix her make-up.

NY: And no apologies needed. Just talk to me or anyone if you are bothered about anything ok?

Mina nods as she quickly fixes Nayeon’s make-up. After a couple of minutes, Nayeon picks up the mirror and looks at herself.

NY: Thanks for this Mina.

MN: No, thank you Nayeon for what you said earlier. I will definitely think about talking to Jeongyeon later.

Nayeon ponders for a bit then looks at Mina.

NY: No worries. Let’s go out later after the event since it will be our day off tomorrow. I already have a thing in mind.

MN: That’s fine with me Nayeon. Do you want to invite the other girls?

NY: Nah. It’s just you and me.

MN: Are you sure? Where are we going?

NY: It’s a surpise. I’ll just talk to our manager for a bit.

Nayeon quickly stood up and left Mina before the latter can respond. Mina thinks for a bit the takes her phone out and sent a message.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) Hi. Are you busy? If it’s ok, I just want to talk for a bit later.

Mina hesitantly pressed send on her phone and looks at it for a couple of seconds. She was about to place it on her bag when it suddenly vibrated. She quickly unlocks her phone to check what it was about.

JY: (To Mina) Hi Mina. I would love to talk to you. Just let me know when but aren’t you on the fan event right now? Wouldn’t you be tired later? We can talk tomorrow instead so that you can rest first.

Mina quickly taps her phone to respond as they were signaled that the event will start soon.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) I’ll be ok. Don’t worry. I’ll give you a head’s up later since Nayeon told me that we’ll be going somewhere first after the event so it might be late but let me know if you’ll be sleeping already so that I won’t bother you.

Mina sat on her chair as she sent the message. She’s already set for the fan event and the phones are already set up in front of her. It will be a few minutes more before the event and she’s starting to get anxious like she always do but a buzz on her phone took her attention. She quickly unlocked it and smiled when she saw Jeongyeon’s name on the notification.

JY: (To Mina) Nayeon invited you to go out? That’s good so that you’ll be able to relax after the event. Don’t worry, I’ll be here all day so just let me know when you will be available. Just remember to relax and have fun. I know you get antsy on these events and unfortunately, I’m not there to help you out but don’t worry. The fans will be happy to talk to you like always. I’ll be feeding our pets now so I’ll need to go but I’m excited to talk to you later. Fighting Minari! (Fire emoji x 5)

Mina felt better after reading Jeongyeon’s message. The tall girl really knows how to make her calm like she always does. Even if the other members are always there for her, there’s really something about Jeongyeon that makes her feel at ease so she really appreciates the older girl. She was about to respond but they were notified that the event will start so she wasn’t able to respond anymore.

The fan event started as each members talk to the lucky fans that was able to get a special pass by buying their albums. It’s been a known fact that getting this video call event doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to buy a bunch of albums. There are situations that that are the case but sometimes, it’s just based on pure luck.

Seungyeon is already on her room as she waits on queue to talk to Mina again. It was extremely hard to get on this specific fan event as changes were made making the participants less and when she thought that grabbing one before was hard, it was definitely harder now. She’s was glad that a last minute ditch effort worked out so she can grab this opportunity. She felt guilty since she got here through special means but she has to do it for her sister so she’s willing to do anything.

As she is already a veteran of this, she already knows what to do. She just made sure that her door was locked and her phone is on silent to make sure that no interruptions occur during their conversation. She also asked Jeongyeon to get her something from a far-away store to make sure that she won’t get caught red handed doing this.

She sometimes ponders on why she is doing this but she’s already invested on this and she also likes to talk to Mina so it’s hitting two birds with one stone. She wants to talk to Mina in a stranger’s manner so that she can see what her sister is getting crazy about and Mina didn’t fail to charm the oldest of the Yoo sisters as she already approves and marked Mina as her sister in law while only talking to her only for a couple of minutes.

As her timer goes down, her excitement to see the girl escalates as she felt giddy just talking to the timid girl. She checks herself one last time on her mirror as the screen changes on her laptop. After a few seconds, the sight that she’s looking forward to see is in front of her, shocked to see her and was welcomed with the warm smile that she was always welcomed with since she first started talking to her.

MN: Hi. It’s you again. I’m glad to see you after all this time.

SY: Hi Mina. I’m glad to see you as well. How are you doing?

MN: I’m doing fine. I’m really happy to see you again. I’m actually looking forward to talk to you since it’s been a while since our last talk.

Seungyeon can see the eagerness from the timid girl as she also can’t help but smile at the sight.

SY: Yes, it’s been a while. I’m also happy to talk to you again. So about what we talked about last time.

Mina quickly caught up on what Seungyeon is talking about as she leans forward to whisper on the phone.

MN: Between you and me, Jeongyeon surprised me on my birthday and she gave me something that I really love. It’s a perfume that I was looking for quite some time and she just got it out of the blue and it was just so funny that she didn’t even asked me about it and just looked for a random scent that is familiar with the scent of the bookmark that she gave me earlier.

Seungyeon internally shouts as she celebrates giving the perfume to Jeongyeon. Little did Mina know that Seungyeon was the one who suggested to Jeongyeon to get that specific scent for Mina on her birthday as her ditsy little sister can’t think shit about what to give to her and was quite happy that it was delivered on the nick of time since she got it overseas and with all the happenings recently, shipping is overly delayed. She was utterly surprise that they hit the jackpot with that as she feigns innocence looking at the girl in front of her.

SY: Wow. That’s amazing. I’m so happy to see that you are happy about her gift. I asked you last time what you like about Jeongyeon and your answer last time was so great that I was touched.

Mina leans back as she nods to Seungyeon.

SY: I wish your relationship with her will last a long time.

Mina smiles as she agrees with Seungyeon.

MN: Yes. Jeongyeon is so kind to me.

Seungyeon saw that sparkling smile that Mina has when she is talking about Jeongyeon.

SY: I really like the kind and warm ambience when the two of you are together.

Just when Seungyeon thought that Mina smile can’t be brighter, she was proven wrong.

MN: Thank you.

Seungyeon thinks for a bit and Jeongyeon might kill her for it but she just has to fan the flames to make it stronger.

SY: By the way, I talk to Jeongyeon and she told me that she loves everything about Mina.

Mina leans back as she held her chest in shock on what she just heard.

MN: Oh gosh.

Seungyeon can see the redness on Mina’s face.

MN: My heart skipped a beat.

Seungyeon jumps in joy as she got the perfect response from the younger girl as she can’t help herself from smiling earnestly seeing the blushing mess in front of her and wonders on what Mina is thinking about saying all this things to a total stranger. Guess she was able to be on Mina’s good side that the young girl can say these things to her.

They looked at each other, smiling slyly and can’t seem to move on from their previous topic but were surprised when the sound of the timer alarmed the two.

SY: I’m happy to see you two like this. I hope to talk to you again in the future Mina.

MN: Thank you. I’m really happy to talk to you again.

Mina ponders for a moment that she’s been talking to this girl for a while but didn’t get her name but the screen changes when she was about to ask the girl for her name. Mina made a mental note to ask her next time.

Mina was so happy after her talk to Seungyeon that she was still on bliss and didn’t notice the time has passed for the day and they are done with all the fan interactions.

As the girls thanked everyone for their help today, they gathered around to talk on what to do afterwards. Mina is quietly listening to the girls as they are on their usual banters and chit chats during off work time.

JH: Good job girls. I hope you had fun. Do you have any plans tonight?

Nayeon quickly went to Mina as the younger girl looks at her.

NY: I’ll be with Mina. We will be strolling somewhere later.

Momo’s eyes looks at the two then focused her sights on Nayeon.

MM: Can I go with you? I don’t have any plans today.

Nayeon looks at Momo and smiles.

NY: Sorry, no can do. It’s just me and Mina today.

Mina was surprise that Nayeon doesn’t want Momo to come so she stood up and talked to Nayeon.

MN: Why don’t we bring Momo along Nayeon, the more, the merrier right?

Momo eagerly looks at the two as Nayeon looks at Momo for a bit then looks back at Mina.

NY: Nope. It’s just you and me tonight. I already have too much Momo as it is so it’s a breath of fresh air for me as well.

Momo puts her hands on her hips as she looks at Nayeon as she is not pleased about what the older girl said.

MM: I hate you Nayeon.

Nayeon smugs as she looks at Momo.

NY: I know you love me.

Momo’s expression softens as she moves next to Nayeon and grabs her hand.

MM: Of course I love you Nayeon so let me go with you and Mina please.

Nayeon smiles at Momo and she taps the younger girl on her shoulder.

NY: Sorry Momo, not today ok? I’ll make it up to you promise.

Momo looks at Nayeon and tries to give her best impression of puppy eyes but Nayeon didn’t faze at all so she gave up.

MM: Fine. I’ll take you up to your promise Nayeon.

Nayeon smiles as she hugs the younger girl.

NY: I promise Momo. Thank you.

Momo leaves Nayeon and Mina as the latter talks to her.

MN: Where are we going Nayeon that Momo can’t come?

Nayeon looks at her for a bit then checks her phone.

NY: It’s a surprise. Are you done already?

MN: Yes, I am.

Nayeon grabs Mina by the shoulder as she moves the younger girl forward.

NY: On we go. Let’s just say goodbye to the girls.

Nayeon pushed Mina to the group as a whining Momo can be heard.

MM: Did I do anything wrong? Why doesn’t anyone want to be with me?

Nayeon looks puzzled at what is going on so she talked to the one who is not really a big fan of seeing her older members being whiny, their youngest Tzuyu.

NY: What’s going on Tzuyu? Why is Momo being to overly dramatic.

Tzuyu looks at Momo then shift her sight to Nayeon.

TZ: As if you are not overly dramatic yourself Nayeon.

NY: Not my question but go ahead Tzuyu.

TZ: She just told us that you don’t want to bring her with you so she asked Sana if she can come with her but was rejected as well.

Nayeon breaks her heart to leave Momo behind but she needs to be firm this time. She ponders for a bit if she wants to reconsider but was stopped when something happened. Dahyun went ahead and quickly went in front of Momo and looks at the older girl.

DH: I’m really not going anywhere Momo but I can keep you company if you want.

Momo’s mood quickly shifts as she hugs Dahyun and rubs her cheeks on the younger girl’s cheeks.

MM: I know my Dahyun won’t let me down.

Nayeon was happy to see that Dahyun will keep Momo Company and made a mental note to thank her later.

Nayeon and Mina said their goodbye to the girls as they rode their van.

Mina checks her phone to see if Jeongyeon messaged her but there is none so she just went ahead and tapped her phone to do some idle chit chat while on their way to their destination which she was not informed where for some reason.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) Hi Jeongyeon. Hope I’m not bothering you. We just ended the fan event and I’m with Nayeon right now, already on our way to the place that she told me we’ll go to. I hope you already have your dinner.

Mina pressed send as she checks youtube for some videos to kill time since Nayeon is doing something as of the moment. She was about to watch a video but was interrupted by a notification which she quickly opens and smiles seeing the sender’s name on her notification.

JY: (To Mina) Hi Mina. You are not bothering me at all. I’m just helping my dad cook dinner. How was the fan event, did you have fun?

Mina remembers her conversation with Seungyeon as she quickly taps her phone to respond.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) I had fun. The fans are pleasant as always. They made me smile today.

Mina pressed send as she looks around and doesn’t recognize the place that they are at but didn’t bother to ask Nayeon as she is currently on a call with her mom.

As she was in the middle of her video, she got another message from Jeongyeon which she opens right away.

JY: (To Mina) I’m glad to hear that you happy after the event. Did you eat already? Did Nayeon mentioned where you guys are going?

MN: (To Jeongyeon) she didn’t tell me anything. She just told me that it will be a surprise. And I checked the surrounding and I’m not really familiar about this area.

As Mina sent her response, she didn’t get a chance to switch back to youtube as she got a reply right away.

JY: (To Mina) well, if it’s Nayeon we’re talking about here, most probably it’s a new place that she discovered online. Is Momo with you as well?

MN: (To Jeongyeon) that the weird part to be honest, it’s just me and Nayeon. Momo asked earlier if she can go with us but Nayeon didn’t let her.

Mina didn’t even switch back to youtube as Jeongyeon might respond right away which it did so she checks the message.

JY: (To Mina) well that’s definitely weird. It’s always Momo and Nayeon going about looking for new food places. Do you want me to ask for you?

Mina taps her phone to respond.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) don’t worry about it~

Mina recalls the reason that they are together right now since she opened up to Nayeon about her longing for Jeongyeon so she didn’t want to let Jeongyeon know about it.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) she just told me that she wants a breath of fresh air. Maybe she wants to have a different companion for her adventures for a change I guess.

Mina pressed send as she checks the outside again and the area is still unfamiliar with her. She got a response a couple of minutes later.

JY: (To Mina) if it’s Nayeon, don’t ponder with it too much. I’ve known that girl for the longest time and I still can’t figure out what going on that old hag’s head.

As if she felt that she was being talked about, Nayeon suddenly loudly coughs as she looks around and then at Mina and smiles at her which she smiles back as the older girl goes back to her video call. Mina giggles silently as she taps on her phone.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) something funny just happened. Nayeon suddenly looked at me as if she knew that we are talking about her.

Mina continues to giggle as she pressed send as she still can’t believe of what has just happened earlier.

While waiting for Jeongyeon’s response, Nayeon ended her video call and looked at Mina.

NY: Why are you giggling Mina, something funny you saw online?

Mina keeps giggling upon looking at Nayeon making the latter looked at her weirdly.

MN: Nothing Nayeon, just remembered something funny. By the way, where are we going?

Nayeon looked around and also checks her phone as she then moves her attention back to Mina.

NY: It’s a surprise. Just get yourself ready, we’re almost there.

Nayeon smiles at Mina then moves back to her seat and taps on her phone. Mina was about to ask further but she receives the response from Jeongyeon.

JY: (To Mina) well, that was definitely funny. I’ll stop now or else, she might notice that we are talking to her and most probably get one of her hellish slaps again.

Mina calms herself down as she taps on her phone.

MN: (To Jeongyeon) I think so too. By the way, she told me that we are near our destination so I’m really excited on where will Nayeon bring me.

Mina taps send as Nayeon looks around again then looks at Mina.

NY: We’ll be there if a few minutes Mina. Get yourself ready.

Mina nods as she looks around as well.

MN: Ok Nayeon. I’m not seeing any malls nearby. Is this like a secluded place that you saw online for good food?

Nayeon smiles at her as she leans on her seat.

NY: It’s the best food that I know and I bet that you will like it too.

Mina looks at the smug Nayeon as she looks at her phone, waiting for Jeongyeon’s response. Her phone got a notification but before she can open it, Nayeon suddenly leans forward and checks the surroundings and then looks at Mina.

NY: We are here. Get yourself ready.

Mina wears her jacket as she checks the area and she sees no commercial areas around, only a house in front of them. She was about to ask Nayeon where they were but Nayeon quickly stood up and gets out of the vehicle which she follows afterwards. Upon leaving the vehicle, Mina was able to see the house better.

It’s a big house, almost mansion like with aesthetically cool colors painted on its walls. Nayeon grabs her by the shoulder as she was dragged in front of the house as she looks the intercom in front of the house. Nayeon buzzed in and Mina just observes as she waits for the person on the other end to show up.

After a few seconds after Nayeon buzzed, some rambling sounds can be heard on the other side of the intercom as someone finally answered.

??: Who is it?

Mina was surprised upon hearing the voice on the other line as it seems very familiar.

NY: Turn on the camera quickly. Its cold out here you know.

??: What? Who are.. Nayeon?!

Mina was shocked once she saw the face on the intercom, it was Jeongyeon.

JY: Nayeon, what are you ~

Jeongyeon suddenly stops as she noticed the girl beside Nayeon.

JY: Mina? What are ~

Before Jeongyeon can continue, Nayeon interrupts her.

NY: For crying out loud Jeong, open the door. We’re freezing here.

Jeongyeon is on a daze upon seeing Mina but she was quickly awoken from it by an angry Nayeon.

NY: Yoo Jeongyeon! Get your butt out here right now or I’ll call uncle!

Jeongyeon jumps in surprise as she quickly was gone on the intercom as the video quickly turned off.

Mina looks at Nayeon nervously.

MN: Why are we here Nayeon? Is this Jeongyeon’s house?

Nayeon smiles at Mina.

NY: Yes, this is Jeongyeon’s family house.

Mina quickly panics as she looks at Nayeon.

MN: Why didn’t you tell me that we are going here Nayeon. Oh God.

Nayeon laughs at the panic stricken penguin.

NY: Why are you so nervous about? You miss her right?

Mina’s cheeks flared up as she looks at Nayeon.

MN: I do miss her but this is too sudden. I’m not ready.

Nayeon taps Mina’s shoulders as she enjoys the flustered mess in front of her.

NY: Why do you need to be ready to see her? You see her almost every day for the past 6 years, what difference does it make?

Mina quickly grabs her back and checks her face.

MN: I look tired Nayeon. I don’t ~

Mina is mumbling so Nayeon held her shoulders and looked in her eyes.

NY: Mina. Breathe.

Mina breathes deeply as she looks at Nayeon.

NY: Now, calm down. You are always pretty, second to me of course but pretty nonetheless. 

Mina finally calms down but her nervousness is still evident on her face.

NY: You miss her right?

The flustered Mina nods as she rubs her hands together.

MN: I do.

Mina looks at Nayeon seriously.

MN: This is just too sudden Nayeon. Earlier you just told me to contact her but I didn’t expect that we will be seeing her today.

NY: You don’t want to see her then?

Mina quickly shakes her head as the trembles on her hand disappear.

MN: I want to. I eagerly want to Nayeon. I just didn’t it to be this sudden.

Nayeon noticed the glimmer on Mina’s eyes. She can definitely see that after that minor panic attack earlier, the younger girl is quite giddy to see Jeongyeon.

MN: I do appreciate this Nayeon but please next time, don’t surprise me like this.

Nayeon laughs as she saw the pouty penguin in front of her. Before she can respond, the gate opens and a panic stricken Jeongyeon opens the door for them.

JY: I’m sorry I took too long. Come on in guys.

Nayeon taps the shoulder of Jeongyeon as she hurriedly went inside, leaving the two by the gate.

Jeongyeon is still huffing as the two are just staring at each other. It’s been a few weeks since they last seen each other as smiles are evident on both the girl’s faces. Jeongyeon was awoken from her daze when she felt the cold air on her nape which reminded her that Mina gets cold really quick so she absent mindedly grabs the younger girl’s hands and places it on her jacket’s pockets as she was also shocked on what she did. She looks at Mina as the younger girl is smiling with hues of red on her cheeks. Jeongyeon can’t think straight (well she isn’t really. LOL) but they need to get inside right away so she clears her throat as she looks at Mina.

JY: Sorry about that. I know you get cold real quick.

Mina hesitantly looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: It’s fine. Thank you.

JY: Let’s go inside, it’s getting cold.

MN: Ok.

Jeongyeon quickly pulls Mina in as she closes the gate then quickly pulls Mina by the hand as the two playfully ran towards the house, hand in hand.

Mina was awed by what she saw once inside Jeongyeon’s family residence. Even though the house is big and exudes extravagant feels for its exterior, the interior is simple and clean. All the walls are on a simple light brown color as well as majority of the furniture. Mina checks further as she was amazed by the place being so spacious. They just entered the house and the living room is the same or even much bigger than their dorm room.

As Jeongyeon took Mina’s jacket and hanged it on the rack, Mina was surprised when a bunch of dogs ran towards them. Mina froze for a bit but being a dog owner herself, she calms herself down and tries to get a feel for the dogs to check if they are wary of strangers. Mina observes as the dogs run around her and sniffs her. The dogs turn around when Mina kneels down to pet them.

Jeongyeon is seeing the event unfold in front of her as she was amazed that their dogs are already letting Mina pet them even though it was their first meeting as they are not usually that comfortable with strangers. Even though Nayeon is a usual face on their house, there are still times that the dogs bark at her. Jeongyeon chuckles as she thinks that maybe her dogs are not a big fan of Nayeon.

As Jeongyeon walk towards Mina, she noticed the happiness the young girl shows. She knows that Mina is a dog lover and it’s been a while since she saw her dog so it’s not a surprise that the girl is happy surrounded by dogs.

Jeongyeon puts her hand in front for Mina to grab on as she looks at her.

JY: Come on Mina. Let’s go inside where it’s warm. You can still play with them there.

Mina smiles as she grabs Jeongyeon’s hand as the latter gently pulls her up as the two walks towards the living room with the dogs following Mina’s footsteps.

JY: You know, it’s quite unusual for them to be this welcoming when meeting new people.

MN: Really? I think they are a pleasant bunch.

They arrived at the living room where Jeongyeon guided Mina to the sofa.

JY: You can sit here Mina. The fireplace is nearby here so it’s toasty. Do you want a hot tea or any drinks?

Mina sat down as she looks around for a bit then moves her attention to Jeongyeon.

MN: I’m fine Jeongyeon., thank you. 

The dogs jump on the sofa and are running on her laps which made Mina giddy.

MN: Oh gosh, they are so energetic.

Jeongyeon was still in awe as their dogs are already comfortable with Mina to be this playful.

JY: Would it be ok if I leave you here for a bit with the dogs? I was helping dad earlier with dinner when you guys showed up. I’ll just tell him that we have visitors.

Mina looks at Jeongyeon while rubbing the belly of one of the dogs.

MN: I’m fine here Jeongyeon. We did go here uninvited.

JY: That’s fine Mina. You are always welcome to go here anytime. Maybe just next time, let me know so that I can prepare.

MN: Thank you Jeongyeon. You know it was Nayeon’s idea to go here. Even I was surprised.

JY: Yeah, that old hag. I’m gonna give her a piece of my mind. Let’s talk later?

Mina smiles as she looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: I would love that.

Jeongyeon felt that her world stopped when she gets the full display of Mina’s gummy smile. She has seen it multiple times through the years that they are together but it never fails to make her fall more in love with the girl.

JY: I’ll go now.

Jeongyeon walks backwards as she observes Mina as she plays with their dogs that she didn’t notice that she bumped on a chair and she almost trips which alarmed Mina.

MN: Are you ok Jeongyeon?

Jeongyeon hastily moves the chair out of her way as she nervously laughs as she tries to hide her embarrassment from Mina.

JY: I’m good Mina don’t worry. I’ll go now.

Jeongyeon dashed away before Mina can respond but she chuckles as she witnessed the goofy Jeongyeon in action.

As Jeongyeon tries to collect the remaining bits of her pride from the incident earlier, she walks towards the kitchen where his dad is. She forgot to get back to him since she got side tracked with the surprise visit from Nayeon and Mina. As she enters the kitchen, she saw her dad talking to Nayeon as the latter is observing what Jeongyeon’s father is doing so she approached the two.

JY: Hi dad. Sorry I wasn’t able to get back right away. This old hag here just popped out of nowhere.

Without batting an eye, a loud slapping sound was heard as a shrieking Jeongyeon is massaging her arm. Jeongyeon’s dad is just laughing at the two since he is already used to the banter of the two girls.

JY: What the heck. Dad! Nayeon slapped me!

Jeongyeon’s dad just continued laughing as he prepares their dinner.

JY: Sometimes I wonder who your daughter between me and Nayeon is.

NY: Even if I’m not uncle’s daughter, I just can’t help myself being so loved by everyone.  

JY: Oh God Nayeon, you are too full of yourself.

Jeongyeon panics as she saw that familiar motion from Nayeon’s hand.

JY: Dad! She’s gonna hit me again!

Mr. Yoo: Ok girls, you can stop now. I need to get this done so we can all eat.

Jeongyeon washes her hands so that she can continue helping her dad with cooking dinner.

JY: By the way dad, do we have enough food? I can run to the grocery real quick if we need more.

Mr. Yoo: No worries, I actually bought extras since Nayeon told me earlier that she’ll be coming to visit with some of your group members.

Jeongyeon jaw drops as she looks at her father and then Nayeon as the older girl is smiling at her smugly.

JY: You knew about this dad and you didn’t tell me?

Mr. Yoo: Well, she mentioned that it will be a surprise and it won’t be a surprise if you knew right?

Jeongyeon can’t believe what’s she’s seeing right now as she hears Nayeon laughing on her back.

NY: Told you, your dad loves me.

Jeongyeon whines as she looks at her dad.

JY: Daaaaaaad…

Jeongyeon’s father laughs as she kisses Jeongyeon on her forehead.

Mr: Yoo: Of course I love you too sweetie.

NY: Uncle just loves me more.

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon as she sticks her tongue out to the older girl.

Seungyeon just ended her shoot when she checks her phone and saw the notification from her dad that he is preparing dinner and asks on what time she will be going home. She has initial plans for the night but she can’t say no when it’s her father doing the cooking. She checks her phone and its past 6pm so she sends a response that she will be home at around 7pm if the traffic is not that bad.

She recalls that she is supposed to meet someone tonight but because of the sudden invitation, she has to cancel. She taps her phone and looks up her messages.

SY: (To ?) Hey. I just finished shooting. I’m sorry but it seems we won’t be able to go shopping today since dad is making us dinner tonight. Do you want to tag along instead?

Seungyeon pressed send as she goes to her car and starts the engine. She got a response as she puts her seatbelt on.

?: (To Seungyeon) If uncle would be cooking, I would definitely want to come. Do you think they have enough food though? I don’t want to be a burden.

Seungyeon smiles as she taps her phone to respond.

SY: (To ?)  We can drop by a nearby store to grab some food so that you will be at ease though I doubt that we’ll run out of food since it’s dad that we are talking about here. Whenever he feels like cooking at home, it takes us at least 2 days to finish everything that he makes. Besides, he likes it when you are there that sometimes, he asks for you. Where are you anyway? I brought my car so I can just get you and we’ll go home together.

Seungyeon started the heater as she waits for a response. It didn’t take too long for her to get a response.

?: (To Seungyeon) I sent you my location. Since it might take you a couple of minutes, I’ll buy some food here while waiting for you. Should I buy some wine for uncle? Do you know if he likes anything particular? How about you, do you want me to buy you anything like snacks or munchies?

Seungyeon checks the location that was sent to her then taps her phone to respond.

SY: (To ?) I’ll be there around 20 minutes or so depends if the traffic is bad so move your butt right now so that we can go as soon as I arrive. I don’t think dad favors any specific drinks to be honest and you know he doesn’t like it when you call him uncle right? And as for me, I’ll just be getting what you are getting. I’ll message you later once I find a parking spot near your location so I can help you bring what you brought.

Seungyeon was about to shift the gear of her car to drive when she receives a notification.

?: (To Seungyeon) You don’t need to look for a parking spot. That might make the trip longer. Just call me when you are nearby so we can just meet somewhere where I can hop on. It’s just you and me talking so it’s fine. I have my earpiece with me so you can contact me anytime. See you soon. (Kissy emoji) (Kissy emoji)

Seungyeon smiles as she puts her earpiece on and starts driving. It didn’t take her too long to go to their meeting place and were able to meet up with her companion real quick.

Once they got home with her companion, she parked her car and quickly noticed that there some unfamiliar jackets and shoes on the front door and like usual, she was welcomed with their dogs but and laughs at the normal commotion whenever her companion goes with her. As she shooed their dogs, she froze when she turns around and saw who was in front of her.

Mina didn’t notice the time pass by as she enjoys playing with the dogs when she suddenly felt thirsty. She’s wondering if it’s rude to wander around on someone else’s house so she thought of messaging Jeongyeon so that the older girl can accompany her. As she was looking for her phone, she heard the front door open and the dogs ran to the entrance. As she is getting her phone, she heard the dogs bark loudly and a shriek was heard from the door. Mina jumps in surprise as she heard the shriek and she somehow felt that it’s oddly familiar so she quickly stood up and went to the front door and froze when she saw who was on the front door.

Mina looked at the person as it she tries to decipher what the hell is going on. She’s so focused that she didn’t notice that there are two persons in front of her. She jumps in surprise when she felt a hand on her shoulder and it was Jeongyeon and then Nayeon behind her. She looks back and forth at the person and Jeongyeon then she finally noticed the 2^nd person which shocked her. She gulps heavily as she tries to speak while her brain is going overdrive.

MN: You.. Sana?

The second person went in front as she absent mindedly drops the bags that she was holding.

SN: Mina? What a surprise. What are you doing here?

Mina is still processing why is Sana with that person and why is she being like her usual self on somebody else’s house. She tries to shake her thoughts away for the mean time to get a grasp of the situation. She was about to say something but Nayeon waves her hand behind Mina as she moves forward.

NY: I brought her here.

Sana smiles as she saw Nayeon.

SN: Hi Nayeon. I see. Now it makes sense. So this is where you two are going.

Nayeon smirks as she puts her hands on her hips.

NY: And you? Care to explain why you are with Seungyeon?

Mina is still overwhelmed by all that is happening and the barking of the dogs is not helping at all. Jeongyeon noticed the confusion on Mina’s face as well as Seungyeon as the two are looking at each other for a while now and as much as a she is a drama enthusiast, she doesn’t enjoy those stare downs that’s just there to kill time before the ending song comes in so she moved Nayeon behind her and welcomed her sister and the not so unexpected guess on her eyes.

JY: I don’t know what’s going on between you sis and Mina but would it be ok if we move to a much comfortable place to talk and it irks me that miss clumsy pants here is loitering on our front door with the stuff that you brought.

Jeongyeon quickly grabs the bags that Sana is carrying earlier as she escorts everyone on the living room as she brings the bags on the kitchen to sort out and then went back shortly with some hot tea and water as she noticed that Seungyeon and Mina are still staring at each other since earlier.

Mina’s head is in shambles as she is seated on the living room sofa beside Nayeon and seated on the opposite side of the coffee table is Sana and the mysterious person that she got comfortable talking for a while about her feelings with Jeongyeon and after all this time, she finally got her name, Seungyeon.

She’s been trying for a while now to talk to her but she’s still pretty shaken with the sudden introduction of Seungyeon to her and her thoughts are overloading her to her breaking point. Thoughts of “why of all people in the world, it has to be her sister” or “why did her sister do that”. She’s been thinking too hard that she didn’t notice that Jeongyeon has been calling her until moments later. She looks at Jeongyeon as the latter has a confused face looking at her with a glass of water on hand. She took the water and chugs it in an instant. Jeongyeon gets the glass from her as Jeongyeon refills the glass as she seats beside Mina and looks at her and then at her sister.

JY: Ok. Thanks for waiting. So can anybody tell me what’s going on here?

Everyone looked at each other as Mina looks at Jeongyeon and at Nayeon with a defeated expression.

MN: Nayeon, do you recall the person that we discussed before, that one fan that you got curious about?

Nayeon thinks for a bit then it hits her.

NY: Oh yeah, I remember that.

Nayeon looks at Jeongyeon which startled the latter as she looks back to Mina.

NY: What about that fan?

Mina gulps as she looks at Seungyeon who’s also looking at her with a bothered expression.

MN: It was her.

Mina pointed to Seungyeon which shocks Nayeon and Jeongyeon and leaving Sana clueless.

Upon hearing what Mina said, gears grind on Seungyeon’s mind as she saw the shocked expression from Nayeon and Jeongyeon as she was reminded of the talk that she had with Jeongyeon way back about that fan that Nayeon mentioned that Mina might be falling for is her.

Seungyeon looks at Nayeon angrily as she is already thinking of 10 ways to kill her and Sana is getting quite annoyed as she can’t understand anything that’s going on so she raised her arm as the girls’ looks at her.

SN: I don’t understand shit on what’s going on. Can you let me in? This sounds juicy.

Seungyeon rubs her temples as she sighs as Nayeon is laughing nervously as both Seungyeon and Jeongyeon is looking at her like they want to take her head off or something.

NY: Let me explain.

Jeongyeon and Seungyeon stood up as they pointed their fingers at Nayeon almost simultaneously.

JY and SY: Shut up Nayeon!

Nayeon closes her mouth as she leans back on the sofa as everyone is already tensed as it is and Sana is not really helping with her blazing curiosity that annoyed Seungyeon. Jeongyeon had enough so she downs a glass of water and hopes that she still has a face to show after what she will say.

JY: Ok Sana. I will say everything but please, don’t tell anyone about this ok?

Seungyeon looked at Jeongyeon worriedly as she is afraid that this might harm her sister.

SY: Are you sure Jeongyeon? You know we can discuss this on a later time.

Jeongyeon looks at Seungyeon then holds Mina’s hand which surprised the latter as she looks at her.

JY: Mina. Whatever we discuss here, I hope you don’t hate me for it.

Mina didn’t answer as she just held tightly on Jeongyeon’s hand.

Jeongyeon explained about her feelings for Mina as well as the stress that Nayeon gave her when the older girl mentioned about that fan that Mina is quite fond of talking to which is Seungyeon. It was really a small thing that was blown up by a certain bunny toothed loudmouth. Seungyeon also explained everything that she did since her first conversation with Mina which shocked Jeongyeon.

After the sister’s explanation, Sana looks around then back at Jeongyeon.

SN: So you like Mina is that right?

Jeongyeon nods as she is having difficulties looking at Mina but was somewhat relieved that the young girl is still holding on to her.

SN: And why would I be shocked about that? I mean, it’s totally obvious that you like her. All the girls know that you like her so I don’t know what the fuss is about. What I’m more curious is that ~

She moves her vision to the girl beside her as she looks at her with an annoyed expression.

SN: Why did you do that to Mina? What’s your point talking to her like that and not minding your own business? And you went out of your way to even use me to talk to her?

Nayeon, Mina and Jeongyeon looks at Sana as Jeongyeon got curious about Sana’s last statement.

JY: What do you mean use Sana? What did my sister do?

Sana leans back as she sighs in annoyance as she looks at Jeongyeon.

SN: You know that we have that special pass for our events that needs permission to be used right?

Mina, Nayeon and Jeongyeon nods as they continue to listen to Sana.

SN: She asked me yesterday if she can join the event today and I wondered at first on why she didn’t ask Jeongyeon for it but I gave her mine as I thought she will be talking to me but instead she used it to talk to Mina. I was even scolded by the management after the event earlier so I was in a very foul mood so I want to be alone and drink, to think that my girlfriend used me to talk to another girl, the audacity.

Seungyeon rubs her temples as Nayeon, Mina and Jeongyeon were shocked by what they heard as Sana realized what she just absentmindedly said because of her anger. She looks at the three and she chuckles nervously as she rubs her hair.  

SN: Well, cat’s out of the bag I guess.

Jeongyeon gasps as she looks at Sana and then at Seungyeon.

JY: What the hell sis? Where the hell is “no secrets”?

Seungyeon moves closely to Sana and starts pinching her cheeks as she looks at Jeongyeon.

SY: I don’t mean to keep it a secret Jeongyeon, I do want to tell you about it but I don’t want to stress you as you are already stressed at it is.

Sana slaps Seungyeon’s hands off her cheeks as she rubs it to ease the pain as the older girl looks at Sana.

SY: And why do you have to act all jealous of Mina of all people?

Sana moves forward as she looks at Seungyeon trying to imitate puppy eyes as she pouts.

SN: I thought you want to talk to me babe.

Jeongyeon felt shivers run on her spine upon hearing Sana calling her sister babe.

JY: So this is why you’ve basically lived here all this time. Why didn’t I notice it earlier, am I too dumb?

Nayeon looks at her as she was about to say something but Jeongyeon stops her.

JY: Don’t even think about saying anything Nayeon, I’m still mad at you.

Nayeon leans back on the sofa as Jeongyeon finally had the courage to look at Mina and were surprised that the younger girl smiled at her. Seungyeon noticed the staring contest from Mina and Jeongyeon so she clears her throat which took the attention of everyone.

SY: Now that we got things cleared up, I think you two~

Seungyeon pointed at Mina and Jeongyeon.

SY: You need to talk things out.

Seungyeon stood up as she grabs Sana by the hand and looks at Nayeon.

SY: You blasted bunny. We need to talk. Get your butt off the couch now.

Nayeon whines as she stood up and looks at Jeongyeon and Mina.

NY: Can’t I be like a witness or something?

Sana stood up as she puts her arm around Seungyeon’s.

SN: You did enough already Nayeon. If you have the energy, you can maybe help dad with the cooking or you can hang out with me on our room.

Seungyeon looks at Sana as the latter smiled at her.

SY: Since when did my room become ours?

SN: Since the first day that we slept together.

Seungyeon’s cheeks suddenly flared up as she saw Jeongyeon’s disgusted expression.

SY: For crying out loud Sana, don’t give them the wrong idea.

SN: What’s wrong with us sleeping together?

Jeongyeon sighs deeply up as she looks at Sana.

JY: I don’t even know what to think at this time but please, no mentioning of anyone sleeping with anyone please.

Sana didn’t bat an eye on what Jeongyeon said as she puts her hand on her hips.

SN: I don’t see anything wrong with me sleeping with my girlfriend.

Seungyeon sighs as she puts her hand on Sana’s mouth to stop her from saying anything.

SY: Ok babe. Nothing wrong with that just please don’t talk about it out loud ok?

Sana nods as Seungyeon moves her hand away.

Nayeon felt her spine tingling from the exchange.

NY: With that, I’m going to help uncle with the cooking.

Seungyeon quickly grabs Nayeon before the latter can leave.

SY: Oh no you don’t, we still have things to discuss.

Before Nayeon can say anything, she’s already being dragged by Seungyeon and Sana as Seungyeon looks at Jeongyeon and winks before they were out of site. Jeongyeon waited until Nayeon’s whines aren’t audible anymore so she can start her important conversation.

Jeongyeon felt that the living room is not the most appropriate place for what she is about to do so she stood up and looks at Mina.

JY: Is it ok if we go to my room so we can talk?

MN: Ok.

Jeongyeon stood up as she brings Mina to her bedroom.

Since it was Mina’s first time visiting Jeongyeon’s room, she can’t help but be curious as her eyes roam the room as they are walking towards Jeongyeon’s couch. She notices the awards that she got previously as well as some photos with her sisters, some pictures with the members but the one that caught her attention is a small picture frame with random pictures of her and Jeongyeon together that goes way back to their trainee days, their debut and throughout their career.

Jeongyeon stops as she looks at Mina as she pointed on the couch.

JY: Is it ok if we talk here?

Mina shyly nods as both of them sat side by side, facing each other.

They stayed quiet for a couple of minutes until Jeongyeon sighs deeply and clears her throat.

Jeongyeon panics as she looks at the blushing penguin in front of her. She quickly grabs her hand which startled Mina as she looks at her.

JY: So. Uhm. This is really not how I imagined the way that you will know about my feelings for you but yeah, I like you Mina. I really do, and maybe even more than that.

Jeongyeon observes as Mina looks at her then shyly looks down as she doesn’t want to force the poor girl. She knows that this might take a toll from their friendship but since everything was laid out already, she’ll go all in.

JY: I know this is too much to handle so I will understand if you want some space to think about this or hate me after this.

Jeongyeon felt Mina’s hand holding hers tighter as she waits patiently for the young girl as thoughts run through her mind. As the moments pass by, she can only give assurance by holding the girl’s hand as she knows that everything will take time to process as she closes her eyes and pray.  

At this time, all she wishes is that Mina won’t be stressed about this as the last thing that she wants is to hurt the younger girl or stress her out. Just the thought of Mina going through again with what she went through before already makes Jeongyeon tear up. As the silence continues, negative thoughts started running on her head. What ifs, what will happen to the group, will she lose Mina. She was on the verge of breaking down but she was pulled out of her thoughts with the soft voice that she yearns to hear every day.

MN: Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon opens her eyes and saw Mina looking at her dearly. Her tears fell as her feelings are getting the best out of her. She was preparing for the worse but looking at Mina’s eyes, she saw hope that maybe, just maybe, things will work out.

Mina was surprised when Jeongyeon’s tears fell so she quickly cleans it with her finger as she looks closely at Jeongyeon.

MN: I’m sorry ~

Jeongyeon felt an ache as her heart is already racing as it is and she starts shaking. Mina panics as she might have been misunderstood so without hesitation, she kissed Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon’s froze as she looks at Mina kissing her. She’s trying to process everything as she thinks that it’s not making any sense. Mina pulls back and saw the shocked expression on Jeongyeon’s face as her face started to flare up.

MN: I shouldn’t have started my statement with that.

Jeongyeon blinks as her mind went numb as she gave up thinking at this time and only was able to utter the first thing on her mind.

JY: What does that mean Mina?

Mina’s face is beet red as she tries to collect her thoughts. She breathes deeply then looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: I love you Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon is still on shock as her facial expression is a mashup of smiling stupidly and just plain stupid. Mina looks confused at first but started laughing at Jeongyeon’s facial expression which snapped the older girl back to sanity.

JY: Did you just say that you love me Mina?

Without answering, Mina kissed Jeongyeon again and this time, Jeongyeon unconsciously closed her eyes as she was drowned with the warm feeling of Mina’s lips. Jeongyeon felt that time stopped as she felt every breath that they share, every second feels like an eternity and she wished to stay there but was awoken from her trance when Mina pulls back which also pulls her back to reality.

Jeongyeon wants more as she tries to get the taste of the sweet nectar that was Mina’s lips but she stops herself when she saw tears running on her angel’s eyes. She quickly moves her hands to wipe Mina’s tears but the tears continue to run as she panics and tries to look for some tissues to wipe it off but her Mina’s hand holding hers stops her from her tracks as their eyes meet.

MN: Please don’t misunderstand Jeongyeon. I’m happy. I’m really happy right now. I’ve kept it all this time and I was afraid that you might not have the same feelings that I have for you. I’ve loved you since I’ve known you.

Mina places Jeongyeon’s hands on her cheeks as the warmth on the older girl’s hand gives her strength to push through the cold path of her self-doubt and restraints.

MN: I tried to stop it as I know that you are a very kind person that makes anyone feel special by just being themselves so I don’t want to misinterpret your kindness but ~

Jeongyeon felt that Mina’s hands are shaking.

MN: I just can’t. I always yearn to always be with you. I just don’t want to force my feelings for you as I felt that I don’t deserve it since your love is too big for just one person. You’ve been with me for all this time and never once did you made me feel anything but loved. Even when I was on break and miles away from you, you made me feel that everything will be ok. Whenever I can’t eat and my legs are shaking from my own weakness, your voice gives me assurance that everything will be alright as I beat my own weak self to get better to be with you. And after I came back, you treated me like nothing happened and I even got more love from you with made me fall so madly in love with you that it’s making me crazy. I ~

Mina’s speech was interrupted when that familiar warm feeling is back as the embers on her heart burn asunder with all the feelings that she kept inside all this time. She never felt this type of ecstasy all her life and her mind is going blank as comprehension is already out of the window as the shackles that holds her heart hostage breaks free and flew like Icarus but instead of falling violently because she aimed too high, she used the heat to strengthen her will to glide and fall gently into the arms of the one that she loves.

Jeongyeon gently moves back as she needs to breathe and a heavily breathing Mina welcomes her sight as they both gasp for air but the tension is definitely making the air thin as they desperately wants to get their lungs filled again for another jab of the electricity that they feel when their lips collide.

Mina, albeit heaving, moves forward as she wants to taste that sweet nectar that is Jeongyeon’s lips but before the collision occurred, Jeongyeon moved so close that their lips are not touching but can easily feel each other’s breathe. Mina was stunned as she saw Jeongyeon’s eyes looking through her soul. Jeongyeon smiles as she looks at the dazed Mina.

JY: Mina.

Jeongyeon is still gasping for air but she needs to say something first.

JY: Breathe.

Mina was awoken from her daze upon hearing Jeongyeon as the latter moves a bit closer that their foreheads are touching each other as they still gasps for air.

Jeongyeon saw that Mina heeds to her request as the younger girl tries to steady her breathing.

JY: I ~

Jeongyeon moves her hand to Mina’s face which the latter holds dearly without losing eye contact.

JY: I love you. I was so afraid earlier that ~

Tears start to form on Jeongyeon’s eyes.

JY: I thought that saying my feelings for you will make you hate me. I was so afraid that I might lose you. I don’t want to lose you ever again Mina.

The tears fell but Mina saw that Jeongyeon is smiling albeit sadly.

JY: When you kissed me and you said that you love me, I can’t believe it. I don’t think I deserve your love. Why didn’t I notice it earlier? I should’ve done better. I should’ve taken care of you better. I~

Mina placed her finger on Jeongyeon’s lips to stop the older girl from blaming herself.

MN: You deserve everything the world has to offer Jeongyeon.

Mina smiles as she wipes the tears from Jeongyeon.

MN: Please don’t blame yourself for what happened before. It’s my fault for not reaching out. We are all at edge and I don’t want to bother anyone but ~

Mina recalls her discussion with Nayeon earlier on the event.

MN: I’m so lucky to meet a very loving group of people and along with them is the one who now is the love of my life.

Jeongyeon can’t be happier when she saw the signature gummy smile that Mina is known for.

MN: I love you Yoo Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon smiles with glee as she looks dearly at Mina.

JY: I love you too Myoui Mina.

Without hesitation, Jeongyeon moves forward to kiss Mina as the latter smiles as they share the intimate moment together until after a few moments later when both heard a muffled scream close by which startled the two. They both looked at the door and just noticed 3 sets of prying eyes looking at them which made Mina’s face flare up as she covers her face and Jeongyeon quickly running to the door and saw that Sana, Nayeon and Seungyeon with Seungyeon behind it with Seungyeon’s hands are covering Nayeon’s mouth.

JY: What the hell!

Sana stood up and quickly ran past Jeongyeon and hugs Mina as Seungyeon and Nayeon are left with a very angry Jeongyeon in front of her. Both girls stood up as they look at Jeongyeon.

SY: Sorry Jeongyeon, I tried to stop her but with Sana here, I can only do so much.

Jeongyeon looks at Nayeon as the latter removes Seungyeon’s hands off her.

NY: Well in my defense, I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly one way or another.

Jeongyeon’s raised an eyebrow upon hearing what Nayeon said.

JY: Well yeah, it went smoothly alright. You just have to ruin everything you hag.

Nayeon looks behind Jeongyeon and saw Sana hugging Mina as she then shifts her attention to the girl in front of her as she fixes her hair.

NY: So, are you officially girlfriends now?

Jeongyeon looks puzzled as she looks at Seungyeon and then back to Nayeon.

JY: I mean, we kissed and we said we love each other. Isn’t that enough?

Nayeon sighs as looks at Jeongyeon disappointedly.

NY: Stupid ostrich. I could say I love you and kiss you right now but that doesn’t mean that we are girlfriends or anything.

Jeongyeon barfs as she felt a cold sensation running on her spine.

JY: Oh God no. Please don’t. I’d rather kill myself.

Nayeon without hesitation slaps Jeongyeon’s shoulder as the latter winces in pain.

NY: You wish Jeongyeon. I’d rather be with Sana than with you.

SY: Hey, get yourself a different girl you stupid bunny.

Seungyeon shifts her attention to Jeongyeon.

SY: I hate to say this but I agree with Nayeon on this one. You need to make it official or else, it will make things hazier in the long run. I had that with Sana and oh boy, I didn’t even realize that I have a girlfriend in the first place until we talked and made it official.

Before Jeongyeon can respond, they heard their dad calling them.

Mr. Yoo: Seungyeon, Jeongyeon, where are you? Dinner is almost ready.

The sisters looked at each other as Seungyeon frantically runs near the stairs.

SY: We’re upstairs dad but we’ll be down there shortly.

Mr. Yoo nods at Seungyeon and once that he’s out of sight, Seungyeon rushes into Jeongyeon’s room dragging Jeongyeon and Nayeon with her as she shuts the door startling Mina and Sana inside. Everyone looks at her.

SY: Dinner is almost ready so I need you~

Seungyeon points to Nayeon

SY: and you

As she points at Sana

SY: get your asses up and help me prepare the dining table.

Sana smiles as she kissed Mina on the cheek then stood up and went beside Seungyeon dragging Nayeon with her.

SY: Babe, can you take Nayeon downstairs first?

Sana looks at Seungyeon and nods understanding what Seungyeon wants to do.

SY: Thanks babe, you’re the best.

Sana grabs Nayeon as she kisses Seungyeon’s cheek before the two are outside the room leaving Seungyeon, Jeongyeon and Mina alone.

Seungyeon looks at Mina as the later looks at her shyly as she smiles and quickly hugs the younger girl. She lets go of the hug as she looks at Mina again then at Jeongyeon.

SY: I’ll give you some time Jeongyeon. Make it quick.

Jeongyeon nods as Mina is puzzled at what the sisters are talking about.

JY: Thank you sis. We’ll be there shortly.

Seungyeon smiles at Mina again then she quickly left the room leaving the two behind.

Jeongyeon quickly sat beside Mina as the younger girl is looking at her.

JY: So. You love me and I love you and we kissed.

Mina blushes as she looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: Yes. We did.

Jeongyeon clears her throat as she gathers herself and looks at Mina.

JY: Will you be my girlfriend Mina?

Mina looks at her with a puzzled expression but chuckles afterwards.

MN: Isn’t my answer obvious already Jeongyeon?

Jeongyeon scratches her hair as she looks at the laughing Mina.

JY: I thought so too but sis said that I need to make it official or something.

Mina stopped laughing as she grabs Jeongyeon’s face and moves it in front of her.

MN: Yes Jeongyeon. I do. I would love to be your girlfriend.

Both smiled as they looked at each other as Jeongyeon then went ahead and kissed Mina’s lips as they continued smiling. Mina pulls back as she stood up and looks at Jeongyeon.

MN: I think we need to go Jeongyeon, dinner is ready and ~

Mina hesitates for a bit then looks back at Jeongyeon.

MN: I don’t want for dad to wait for too long.

Jeongyeon chuckles as she stood up and holds Mina’s hand.

JY: Why is my princess so cute?

Mina slaps Jeongyeon’s shoulder as she pout at her.

MN: Don’t tease me Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon noticed that Mina’s hand is shaking so she held Mina’s hands and looks at her.

JY: Don’t be pressured Mina ok? We’ll take all the time that we need so don’t rush yourself on things ok?

Mina smiles as she nods at Jeongyeon.

JY: Now, let’s freshen up first as I don’t want for us to face my dad looking like a sobbing mess.

Mina chuckles as she also noticed their faces.

MN: I guess you’re right.

The pair moves to the bathroom as they clean their faces like what they usually do ever since they started working together. Both looked at each other as they stupidly chuckles every time their eyes meet.

As Jeongyeon checks herself to make sure that she is presentable, she can’t help but steal glances at the beautiful girl beside her. She was almost about to get away with it until her last glance when Mina caught her eye but instead of shyly avoiding her like what she was always used to, she was welcomed with her signature gummy smile.

MN: Why are you looking at me Jeongyeon? Is there anything in my face?

Jeongyeon doesn’t know what got into her as she observes Mina’s face.

JY: Yes, there is.

Jeongyeon pointed at Mina’s lips as the latter checks the mirror to see what Jeongyeon is pointing at and wasn’t able to see a thing. She looks back at Jeongyeon with a puzzled expression.

MN: I don’t see anything Jeongyeon, where is it again?

JY: You don’t see it? Let me get it for you.

Mina nods and Jeongyeon quickly steals a kiss on her lips that surprised the younger girl as her cheeks flare up. She leans on Jeongyeon’s shoulder to hide the redness of her cheeks as the latter laughs on her small victory.

MN: Why you sneaky ~

Before Jeongyeon can run, Mina’s arms are already around her and it was now Jeongyeon’s turn to blush as her face is on a collision course with Mina’s. It’s not that she doesn’t like it or anything (which of course is not the case) but it’s just a new thing so she’s still not used to being this intimate with Mina. Jeongyeon’s tries her best to move back as they need to go but she can’t escape from Mina which surprised her as the girl is not known for being strong. Jeongyeon panics as she saw in Mina’s eyes that she is being seen as food like a lion about to jump on her prey. Mina is leaning forward and as Jeongyeon closes her eyes, she heard a knock on the door which made her open her eyes again and saw a frozen Mina in front of her.

SY: Jeongyeon. Mina. Dinner is ready. Dad is looking for you.

Mina let’s go as she quickly pecks on Jeongyeon’s cheek.

MN: You’re lucky your sister saved you. We’ll continue with this later.

Mina smirks as she left the bathroom and a dazed Jeongyeon was left standing still as she was shocked with the sudden boldness of her girlfriend which is so out of character from the usually shy timid girl that she knew and wonders who was the girl that was staring at her as if she is a piece of steak.

Jeongyeon was still deep in her thoughts when she felt a hand on her shoulder that made her jump in surprise. As she looks behind her, it was Mina looking at her and Jeongyeon felt at ease that for somewhat reason, the usual calm and kind eyes of Mina is back like her usual self.  

Mina looks at Jeongyeon and wonders what terrified the latter.

MN: You ok Jeongyeon? They are waiting for us on the dining table. Let’s go?

Jeongyeon just nods as Mina grabs her hand as she was dragged out of the bathroom.

As they are seated on the dining table, Mina and Jeongyeon and Mrs.Yoo are beside each other facing Sana, Seungyeon and Nayeon on the opposite side of the table and Mr. Yoo at the center aisle.

Jeongyeon looks around as Seungyeon is also eyeing her as they look at their parents. She grabs Mina’s hand underneath the table which caught the attention of the younger girl as she looks at her and she responds with a smile. Jeongyeon nods as Mina looks at her, puzzled.

JY: Ma, Pa. This is Mina by the way.

Mr. and Mrs. Yoo looked at Mina as the younger girl smiles to both of them and then bows in respect.

JY: She’s one of our group members.

Mr. Yoo: So you are Mina. It’s nice to finally meet you.

MN: Nice to meet you too ~

Mina froze as she can’t think of a way to address Jeongyeon’s dad as she wants to be formal as much as possible and Mr.Yoo noticed the predicament of the young girl.

Mr. Yoo: Uncle will do. You are Jeongyeon’s friend so that will be fine.

Jeongyeon clears her throat as Mina took notice and looks at her.

JY: Actually ~

Mina internally panics as she felt Jeongyeon’s hand is shaking. They made eye contact and Jeongyeon nods at her as her hands finally stops shaking.

JY: She is my girlfriend.

Mina froze as she didn’t expect Jeongyeon to introduce her right away as her girlfriend.

Seungyeon was shocked by the sudden boldness of Jeongyeon when earlier, she was a nervous wreck. She observes her parents to see their reaction and prepares for the worse as she is afraid that their parents might not accept this kind of relationship since it’s not the norm. Scenarios started to run on her mind but were brushed away when Mrs. Yoo hugs Jeongyeon and Mr. Yoo stood up as she moves to Mina and gave her a hug then moved to Jeongyeon and hugs her as well.

Seungyeon felt at ease as she smiles seeing the genuine happiness from her sister.

As the family is having an intimate moment, Seungyeon felt a hand holding hers as she looks at a pouty Sana looking at her with puppy eyes. She quickly knew what Sana wants as she moves near her and whispers.

SY: Can’t we do this on a different time? I don’t want to ruin the moment you know.

Sana didn’t respond as she moves closer to Seungyeon as her pouting intensifies. Seungyeon scratches her head as she knows that Sana doesn’t stand down when she wants something. She sighs deeply and looks at her parents.

SY: Dad, Mom.

Mr. and Mrs. Yoo looks at her.

SY: Sana is my girlfriend.

Seungyeon again checks her parents but unlike Jeongyeon’s, her parents didn’t flinch on what she said.

Mr. Yoo: About time dear.

Seungyeon’s mouth widen as she was shocked at her parents.

SY: You knew?

Mrs. Yoo laughs as she looks at Seungyeon.

Mrs. Yoo: Well, I already have a feeling since you don’t even let you closest friend stay here and besides, Sana is a sweet girl and I love her.

Sana’s eyes widen as she stood up and smiles in glee.

SN: I love you too Mom!

Mrs. Yoo opens her arms as Sana quickly runs and hugs her and Mr. Yoo looks at Seungyeon and also opens her arms to her as she stood up and hugs her dad.

As Mr. Yoo is hugging her daughters, Seungyeon looks at her.

SY: Are you ok with this dad? I mean ~

Mr. Yoo kisses Seungyeon’s forehead as he smiles dearly to her.

Mr. Yoo: Why wouldn’t I be? Love is love. It’s not something that can be bound by anything. As long as I see my daughters happy then that makes me happy.

Seungyeon’s eyes started to tear up as she leans on her dad’s shoulder.

SY: You’re the best Dad. I love you.

Mr. Yoo: I love you too sweetie.

Mr. Yoo rubs both Jeongyeon and Seungyeon’s heads as she looks dearly at her daughters.

Mr. Yoo: I just didn’t imagine that my daughters have a thing for Japanese ladies.

Mr. Yoo laughs with her daughters as Mrs. Yoo kisses both Mina and Sana’s forehead.

Mrs. Yoo: Please be patient with my daughters girls, they are quite a handful.

Sana gleefully smiles at Mrs. Yoo.

SN: Of course Mom!

Sana hugs Mrs. Yoo tighter as Mina shyly looks at Mrs. Yoo as the latter smiles at her.

MN: Don’t worry about Jeongyeon. I know her well uhm ~

Mina hesitates for a bit as she looks at Mrs. Yoo.

MN: Aunt ~

Mrs. Yoo quickly shakes her head, stopping Mina from what she was about to say as she smiles at the young girl.

Mrs. Yoo: Mom.

Mina smiles as she nods at Mrs. Yoo

MN: Yes. Mom.

Mrs. Yoo smiles as she leans her head on Mina’s.

Mrs. Yoo: You’re such a cutie dear.

Sana quickly looks up as she looks at Mrs. Yoo with hopeful eyes.

SN: How about me mom, am I cute?

Mrs. Yoo stroked Sana’s head as she looks at her dearly.

Mrs. Yoo: Of course you are too sweetie.

Sana smiles as she leans and hugs Mrs. Yoo tighter.

Mina was so happy to be part of another family as she misses her family dearly and Jeongyeon opened the door for her to be part of theirs. She looks at Jeongyeon as the latter noticed her as they smiled at each other.

As the happy event is unfolding in front of her, Nayeon can’t help but be happy for Jeongyeon since she knew the struggles of the younger girl and having Mina by her side will be the needed support that Jeongyeon needs. She doesn’t say it but she adores Jeongyeon as her little sister as Seungyeon adores her even if she mostly wants to kill Nayeon from all of her shenanigans.

Nayeon stood up and she crosses her arms and looks at everyone.

NY: Now I’m jealous. I’m supposed to be the favorite here but now I have competition.

Mr. Yoo laughs as she looks at Nayeon.

Mr. Yoo: Sorry dear, I don’t have any more daughters to offer you but we still love you nonetheless.

Nayeon shrieks in joy as Jeongyeon, Seungyeon, Mina and Sana looks at her.

JY/MN/SY/SN: You’re too loud Nayeon!

Everyone laughs as they let go of each other’s hugs and went back to their seats.

As Jeongyeon sat on her chair, Mina quickly pinched her shoulder grabbing her attention.

MN: So much for taking it slow. You literally introduced me to your parents on our 1^st day.

Mina pouts as Jeongyeon chuckles as she looks tenderly at the pouting penguin in front of her.

JY: Sorry Mina. I’m just happy and I don’t want to keep it from my parents and sis.

Mina smiles as she holds Jeongyeon’s hand.

MN: No worries love, just don’t be rash next time.

Jeongyeon smiles as she rubs circles on Mina’s hand.

JY: I promise.

Nayeon rolls her eyes as she just witness what will be the start of the never ending sappiness that these two will be moving forward.

NY: For God’s sake Jeongyeon. No flirting when we’re eating.

Jeongyeon eyes her then kisses Mina on the cheeks which made the younger girl blush.

NY: Oh God. I didn’t sign up for this.

Everyone laughs at the usual banter of the two as Seungyeon and Jeongyeon see eye to eye and smiles at each other.

As the piano rendition of Crazier by Taylor Swift started playing, Seungyeon looks at the piano and was amazed at how talented Dahyun is as she masterfully plays the song in just a couple of days’ notice. Jeongyeon initially hired a professional so that she can make sure that the guest will have a good time on the ceremony but had a last minute cancellation and discussed what other options they have with so little time. The young girl didn’t hesitate to volunteer as she kept her musicality intact and she was a godsend to her.

Seungyeon shifts her attention in front of her as the people around stood up as she tries herself to not laugh at how adorable Chaeyoung is with her cute little stature dropping flower petals, walking towards her as she can hear Jeongyeon beside her, struggling to contain her laughter as she knows that all the pleading that Jeongyeon did to make Chaeyoung do this is all worth it and even if it’s partly for making fun of the younger girl, she wants to have her no jam brother be part of this nonetheless. Even if they tease each other all the time, Jeongyeon loves Chaeyoung with all her heart. Jeongyeon smiles at Chaeyoung as the latter smiled back at her and at Seungyeon and walks past them.  

Shortly after Chaeyoung (LOL), Tzuyu was the next one walking towards them. The towering beauty doesn’t disappoint as even with just a single sundress, Seungyeon can see that some of the people around are stealing glances and she can’t blame them. Seungyeon was happy that it didn’t take them too much convincing as the young girl was eager to attend to the extent that she hired a private plane to do a last minute trip from Taiwan to Korea which is just a simple task for someone who supports 5 public schools and 3 public hospitals.

As Tzuyu walks past them, next was Momo and Nayeon walking together and Jeongyeon sighs as she saw Nayeon wearing a bit too much for the occasion as she recalls telling her to wear “something comfortable”. After all these years, the girl still makes sure that she stands out from the crowd. Maybe it’s just normal for her which was opposite from her companion Momo who is literally wearing a 2 piece mini dress with a cover up dress covering it. She knows Momo can rock any attire as she kept herself on tip top shape.  

As Nayeon and Momo walks past the sisters, the volume of the piano was lessened as words are sung by a powerful voice. Seungyeon looks beside the piano and Jihyo is standing there, teary eyed but she still stable as usual. She volunteered once she knew that Dahyun will be playing the piano and being Jeongyeon’s best friend, she won’t let anyone else sing on her best friend’s special day. It was supposed to be her and Nayeon but the latter kept crying during rehearsals so she was delegated to be with Momo instead.

Jeongyeon’s hands are shaking in anticipation and when Jihyo started singing, her world stopped as she looks in front of her as a lady in a blue sundress started walking towards her.

As Jihyo masterfully sings in the background, Jeongyeon’s eyes teared up as she saw the most beautiful woman that ever existed in front of her. As Mina walks towards her, she thinks that everything was still surreal as she never thought in a thousand years that this epitome of beauty and kindness is in love with her. There were doubts and struggles and a lot of challenges were tackled to be at this point in their life and nothing was easy as she was dragged from cloud nine to rock bottom but they powered through it all, hand in hand. She knows that all the hardships are worth it, she was worth it.

Standing in front of her is Mina accompanied by her dad. As Mr. Myoui gives Mina’s hand to Jeongyeon, he hugs both of them and then looks at Jeongyeon.

Mr. Myoui: Please take good care of my daughter Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon nods at Mr. Myoui as she holds Mina’s hand.

JY: I will Pa, for the rest of my life.

Mr. Myoui smiles at the pair as he moves past them as they look at each other.  

JY: You’re so beautiful Mina.

Mina’s cheeks flares up yet again. Even if this might be the thousandth time that Jeongyeon complimented her, her heart still flutters each time.

MN: Don’t tease me Jeong. We might get off track if you keep this up.

Jeongyeon smiles as their eyes locked at each other, trapped in their own world.

Seungyeon wonders what’s keeping the two but remembering how sappy they are, she needs to do something or else, they will be here all day. Seungyeon clears her throat getting the attention of the couple as they look at her.

SY: Sorry to interrupt guys but we need to get this going.

Jeongyeon frantically moves to Mina’s side as the pair look at Seungyeon.

MN: Sorry sis. We’ll get going now.

Seungyeon smiles as the two walks past her.

As she was left alone, Seungyeon hands started to shake as she breathes deeply to collect herself. She closed her eyes for a bit to calm down but once she  opens her eyes, her hands shakes intensely as tears started to form from her eyes. As Jihyo resumes singing, Seungyeon eyes blurred as the lady wearing an orange shirtdress started walking towards her as the lady took her breath away.

It only started when she got worried for her sister as she never imagined that someone can be so kind even to a complete stranger. She only knew Nayeon and Jihyo before as she gave Jeongyeon her space but when things went bad, she was surprised when a random person started contacting her and diligently giving her real time updates if ever something is up. Eventually, the random person introduced herself as Sana and Seungyeon was so touched by how Sana is genuinely concerned for her sister’s welfare and always goes the extra mile just to make sure that Jeongyeon is properly taken cared off as if she was the one taking care of Jeongyeon herself and shortly started to have feeling for the Japanese lady.  

Their relationship was rocky as both are busy with their own careers and communication was definitely the bane of their existence when Seungyeon started to film internationally as Twice was also doing world tours. It went to the point that they broke up even if they love each other so much as they agreed to first pursue their careers and if ever that they meet again and feel the same way to each other then they’ll try again. Seungyeon went back to her buy and sell account to discreetly be aware of the girl’s activities but mostly to catch a glimpse of Sana.

After a couple of years apart and both are established in their careers, they met unexpectedly in an event and the first thing that Seungyeon did was to propose to Sana. Sana was surprised that Seungyeon has a ring with her but later learned that Seungyeon was holding on to that ring way back before they broke up as she already has plans of marrying Sana. Seungyeon held that ring every day ever since they parted ways hoping to see Sana again. She was being eaten by regret but she worked hard so in case that she and Sana will meet again, she will be worthy of her love.

Seungyeon expected the worse but her doubt was blown away when Sana immediately agrees to marry her as the latter hold dear for her feelings for Seungyeon. Sana struggled after the break up that she almost left the group but with the girl’s intervention and Jeongyeon always being there for her, she was able to pull through as it made her relationship with her members stronger.  

Seungyeon still can’t believe that after all this time, the love that they have for each other never left and still continues to flourish day by day and low and behold, Sana is walking towards her as she is being escorted by her dad. The wind blew loosening the sundress on the tummy area where a bump was seen as evidence of their love for one another.

Sana’s dad smiled at Seungyeon as she gives her daughter’s hand to Seungyeon.

Mr. Minatozaki: Thank you for making my daughter happy and I wish you both all the best.

Mr. Minatozaki kisses Sana’s forehead and hugs the couple before leaving.

Seungyeon wipes her eyes as she sees Sana is also teary eyed.

SY: Don’t cry yet babe. We haven’t even started yet.

Sana chuckles as she wipes her tears.

SN: Oh please. I saw you bawling your eyes when you saw me.

Seungyeon smiles as she looks at Sana.

SY: I can’t help it. I’m getting married to the loveliest and kindest girl in the world.

Sana smiles as she holds on Seungyeon’s hand.

SN: No need to smooth talk me, I’m already marrying you for your information.

Seungyeon snorts as she moves on the side of Sana, not losing eye contact to her wife to be.

SY: Guess there’s no turning back now.

Sana lightly slaps Seungyeon’s arm as she chuckles.

SN: You should have thought about that before knocking me up.

Seungyeon laughs as she looks tenderly at Sana.

SY: Nah. I would marry you either way.

Sana smiles as the couple walks towards Jeongyeon and Mina.

“Baby, you showed me what living is for
I don't wanna hide anymore”

As Seungyeon and Sana moves beside Jeongyeon and Mina, the couples looked at each other as they walk towards the altar. It was a struggle when the news came out as each one of them faced their own hardships as it was not accepted in their society but they persist and fought through it all as they  move forward having the love of their lives by their side.

As Jihyo sang the last line of the song and Dahyun’s piano went silent, Jeongyeon and Seungyeon looks at each other and smiles as Seungyeon faced Sana and Jeongyeon faced Mina as they start a new chapter in their lives.
