Work Text:
He's laying there with his spouse on their king sized bed, covered with soft and silky sheets coloured a beautiful blue, a duvet matching the same shade decorated with gold accents. Said duvet is barely covering both bodies on the bed, resting halfway up on their sleeping forms, but provided warmth for them during the colder evenings. Teshima had just woken up from the sunlight coming in through the curtains hanging, closed fully but the blinding light had peeked in somehow. Now he has his head resting on his hand, with elbow digging into the mattress below him. Aoyagi's laying beside him, fast asleep, with shoulder length blond locks laying across the pillow and some hanging on his shoulder.
It's been years since they had gotten into a relationship, and it's only been about ten months after they graduated from Sohoku that they had gotten a place of their own. It was a small, but cozy apartment, something that Tadokoro had paid the first and second months rent on for them as a graduation present. As well as a congratulatory present for their relationship having had held tight since their first year of high school. It took two and a half months to get everything set up, make sure they had jobs to support the expenses, and a few other things, as well. But as soon as they were finished, they threw a small party.
Halfway through that party, Aoyagi was the one to propose to Teshima, which he hadn't expected but should have when he and the blond had the conversation of whom should propose to whom if they ever got married. Teshima's response was simple then: “Whoever gets to it first. I don't mind if you propose to me; I'll be ready.”
Three and a half months after that, they had their wedding; simple but beautiful all the same. It may have been a while since Aoyagi proposed and even sooner for when they got married, but Teshima still couldn't get over it. His face often heated up from the images flooding his mind, where he covered up his rosy cheeks and wanted to roll on the bed or the floor out of embarrassment though filled with much joy. There were times Aoyagi would look at him funny, then there were times where Aoyagi would smile out of amusement.
Teshima raises the arm resting at his side, fingers spreading as he looks at the back of his hand. The sun hits the small diamond in the middle of his silver band of his wedding ring, making it look so beautiful that morning. He feels his cheeks heating up and he whimpers silently through his lips, wanting to roll on the bed and just scream about how happy he is but then again..
His eyes dart to Aoyagi and his lips curl upwards into a small smile. He mustn't wake up his sleeping spouse – he's too beautiful to be woken up right now.
Teshima lets out a content sigh and moves closer on the bed, bringing his hand to the blond locks hanging on Aoyagi's shoulder. He brings some strands between his index and middle fingers, twirling the strands but being careful as to not pull. Aoyagi's hair feels so smooth in his fingers, as always. He just loves it.
“Then again,” he says out loud, but quietly, to make sure he doesn't awaken his partner. “I love everything about you.. Hajime.”
Teshima feels his body going stuff when Aoyagi stir, and eyes open. The blond blinks a few times to regain his vision, ending up staring at Teshima before letting out a tired hum, stretching out his legs from having them curled up under their shared duvet.
“Did you say something, Junta..?” Aoyagi asks, drowsiness filling his tone. He raises a hand, rubbing at an eye. “I swear I heard you speak.”
“It's nothing, Hajime,” Teshima insists and Aoyagi hums in question at this though he accepts it as a response. If Teshima wanted to talk, they would talk. It went for Aoyagi, as well, and it wasn't often they would share how they'd feel, but they would when they couldn't hold it back anymore.
“Go back to sleep.” Teshima adds in, bringing his arm around the others waist, pulling him closer. His other arm falls, hand going to Aoyagi's hand, the one resting on the bed. “I just.. love you.”
“Love you, too, Junta.” Aoyagi tells him, a smile going on his own lips as he shifts closer, the hand that curled to rub at an eye going to Teshima's waist, as well.
Honestly, Teshima's just so happy to have Aoyagi even closer to him now, and he's sure that Aoyagi feels the same way.
