Just Hyungwon and Minhyuk running away from reality for a day. Running away from the busy town.

Being in a relationship where both are working adults is not an easy task, especially when the other is just a whiny baby that needs attention 24/7. Of course, they do have time for themselves, at home, with lights turned off at night and just cuddles to sleep.
But it is not enough. It is never enough for their never ending affection to each other.
Getting tired from work didn't stop them and never stopped them from showering each other with love when the other one is home first. Though the first few months of them starting to live together was like a rocky path with ups and downs, even a small mistake could lead them to silent treatment for 3 days.
But they never do that anymore, at least they always sit down to talk it out when something goes wrong. No yelling, no silent treatment either.
Except that they are lacking dates.
When was the last time they went on a date? Not that one could remember, but it was already a while ago when they went on a date. Not the usual bed date, movie date at home, or cuddle date, but having fun outside is a rare moment for now. Especially since both of them are so busy nowadays.
That night, Minhyuk whines to Hyungwon for the never ending task of his work. Being a sales manager at a company was not an easy job, and never is. He often comes home late due to overtime and not once that he do overnight at the office. Especially when the year end hits, and he has to worry whether he could make it for Christmas or not.
Meanwhile, there is Hyungwon with his glasses, eyes focusing on his work on his iPad yet he is all ears to Minhyuk's rant about his job. It is not an easy task for him either. Being a CEO of his own company himself is never an easy job.
"Are you listening to me?" Minhyuk raises his voice when Hyungwon doesn't even bother to look at him. "I'm listening baby. You were having a hard time at work right? Your staff are all complaining about the overload of work yet they always pile the work and never get everything done on time, right?"
Minhyuk lets out a heavy sigh and pouts. He knows that Hyungwon is a very smart man and he can divide his focus into many things. Minhyuk is always impressed when his boyfriend does that but he also wished that Hyungwon would pay 100% his attention to his boyfriend only, peculiarly when he talks to him.
"Hyungwon '' Minhyuk grabs his boyfriend's arm to get his attention, which makes it shake and the iPad almost falls from his hand. But it doesn't matter to both of them. Hyungwon shifts his gaze to Minhyuk, staring at him with full adoration like he is the most precious person in the world, in his world.
"What is it, baby?" Hyungwon raises his eyebrow while his lips form a curve. He puts his iPad aside and gives Minhyuk the full attention he wants. "For Christmas, can we go somewhere? Like outside the town? To the beach maybe- well it's winter but whatever. Or maybe to a farm? Staying in the city makes me stressed."
Minhyuk puts his arms on Hyungwon's shoulder while his fingers tangle behind his neck. He lets out an inaudible giggle through his smile as he snuggles closer to Hyungwon, nuzzling his nose to Hyungwon's collar. Hyungwon could only chuckle from his boyfriend's behavior, planting a soft warm kiss on his temple and accepting his request for Christmas.
It is already a day before Christmas yet the intensity of his business has not died down. More load of work and more paper to check. Minhyuk throws his hand to the air as he leans back to his desk chair, taking off his glasses and rubbing the bridge of his nose as he looks at his subordinates wandering around the office.
He sits back straight again when someone approaches his desk, asking to check his work done. Minhyuk feels like his head almost explodes with all the papers that are handed to him, feeling like the words printed on the paper are mocking him.
Maybe it would be slightly better if Hyungwon would call him at this moment but he understands that his boyfriend is a busy man too. Probably even busier than him.
The clock displayed ten past ten when he finally finished all his work and the sky already turned dark obviously. At least he doesn't need to think about his work anymore while spending Christmas with his boyfriend.
Minhyuk comes home greeted with a dark hallway which once lit up when Minhyuk starts to walk inside. There is no sign of Hyungwon at the front door: his shoes are still not there.
But it is not too long after Minhyuk takes off his shoes that the front door opens so wide with Hyungwon inside the frame.
"Oh, Minhyuk, did you just come back too?"
What is it that makes Hyungwon look so beautiful even with his stoic expression looking so dead tired after work? Minhyuk's face immediately lit up at the sight of Hyungwon, running towards him and throwing himself to hug the taller build.
"Hyungwon I miss you!"
"I miss you too, baby. Let's wash up now and go to sleep since we are going to go out tomorrow."
Minhyuk only nods in Hyungwon's chest now releasing his hug to cup Hyungwon's small face with his big hands. "Let's take a warm bath." He smiles so wide that his eyes crinkle while he shows his cute front teeth before leaning in to steal a kiss from Hyungwon's plush lips.
Morning comes and neither of them wants to wake up. Hyungwon hugs his boyfriend tighter every time he shifts while pressing his lips to his crown.
"Hyungwon.. wake up.." Minhyuk groans to Hyungwon's chest trying to free himself from Hyungwon's tight hug. "Mm five minutes more baby."
The plan was almost canceled when they woke up late. Rushing to the bathroom to get shower together is really a messy process when they hit their heads together while trying to enter the bathroom. Minhyuk is fake crying in the warm shower and Hyungwon only rolls his eyes at his boyfriend, but still handles him with care.
All preparations are set and now they are walking together to the parking lot. Bad things that Hyungwon forgot where he parked the car when they got into the wrong floor section and thought that his car had been stolen. Minhyuk can't help either since he wasn't coming home together with his boyfriend last night so they ended up walking around the parking lot for almost one hour to search for his car.
The car is found, yet Minhyuk's mood has dropped since. He pouts as he opens the door and enters the car with cheeks puffed. "Stupid Hyungwonie." No matter how smart his boyfriend is, he always hates it when he gets forgetful.
Hyungwon can only mumble an apology to his boyfriend, leaning toward him and kissing his cheek while trying to get the seatbelt from his side.
"Don't ever forget your seatbelt, honey. It's important." He said, then kissing his boyfriend again. Minhyuk can only melt from that.
Hyungwon starts the engine, fixing the side mirrors first before shifting the gear stick to drive off. Driving with one hand is never a problem to Hyungwon so he can hold his needy boyfriend's hand.
The weather is cold like usual in the winter except that the sun seems to have appeared today. The street was not too packed as they drove to the outskirts of the city.
Going to the farm for Christmas is not a problem yet they don't know if the farm will open for visitors or not. Considering that it is a holiday and who else would visit a farm for Christmas if not Minhyuk?
Hyungwon is focusing his gaze on the street when he could feel his boyfriend's hot gaze directed at him. He smiles softly as he takes a quick glance at his boyfriend while still focusing on the street. "What is it baby?"
"You are so handsome like this." Hyungwon lets out a soft chuckle. "Is there a time when I'm not handsome to you?"
"There is!" He said yet he's having a hard time thinking when Hyungwon is not handsome to him while placing his index finger to his lips. "I give up. You are always handsome to me."
Hyungwon gives Minhyuk a content smile, doesn't talk much and pays attention to his surroundings as the car enters the highway.
Though it is not a long ride, Hyungwon decides to stop in the rest area. He looks to his right side and sees Minhyuk sleeping soundly. Hyungwon giggles at the sight of Minhyuk, looking so adorable with his fisting habit when sleeping.
"Baby, we are in the rest area. Do you want to get a drink? Or snack?" Minhyuk groans as he stretches his arms while trying to wake up. He rubs his eyes with his palms before looking at Hyungwon with his still blurry vision. "I want hot fish cake soup... and cheese tteokbokki.."
Hyungwon nods, "What about the drinks?"
"Just a hot latte is fine."
They continue to drive off and Minhyuk is wide awake with a cup of cheese tteokbokki in his hands. Hyungwon drives slowly so Minhyuk will get comfortable while eating and Minhyuk picks one rice cake with a lot of cheese with his chopstick blowing the heat away and feeds it to Hyungwon.
Minhyuk is satisfied with Hyungwon's expression that he eats the rest for himself. Just then an image of their first date flashed in Minhyuk's memory and he couldn't help but to laugh.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Do you remember our first date?"
It was when the two of them were not as busy as today. Hyungwon was in the beginning of starting his business while Minhyuk was still in his last year of college. They met for the very first time at a convenience store. It seems funny how it leads to a happy relationship, but it is indeed funny.
It all started when Minhyuk was looking through the aisles to get a honey jam. He was not attentive of his surroundings so he bumped into Hyungwon, who at that time was holding a bottle of beer. It fell and broke right in front of them and Minhyuk felt guilty about it, convinced Hyungwon that he will pay for the broken beer. But instead, Hyungwon grabbed Minhyuk's hand, asking him to pay it with a date and they both ended up only driving around the city with Hyungwon's newly bought car.
"That was embarrassing, Minhyuk. I didn't know why I did that."
"But we won't be dating if you didn't do that!"
They finally arrived at the farm and as expected it is so quiet with only a few people. But they are relieved that it is not closed for today.
Hyungwon takes off his seat belt and looks at Minhyuk with some sauce smeared on his lips. Hyungwon chuckles, earning a confused look from his boyfriend, he takes a tissue pack from the backseat and wipes Minhyuk's lips. "You are such a baby." Continuing with a soft warm kiss on his lips.
They both exit the car at the same time. Minhyuk shivers from the breeze that hits his face right after he comes out from the car and runs to Hyungwon’s side to hug him, even when he wears a thick hoodie layered with a padded jacket that is not as warm as when he is near Hyungwon.
How can a grown up man be this adorable and looks so tiny? Maybe, just maybe, Hyungwon never sees Minhyuk as an adult, because he is his adorable baby that needs attention and love.
“Oh Hyungwon- Look!” Minhyuk points at a stall around the entrance or the farm. It is a hot corn stall and Minhyuk immediately pulls Hyungwon to rush there.
Hyungwon was about to reach for his wallet inside his pocket when Minhyuk held his hand back. “It’s on me.” He shows his thousand watt smile at his boyfriend before shifting his gaze toward the vendor. “Two hot corn please!” He said with enthusiasm. Minhyuk’s eyes sparkling as he waited for his corn, following the hand movement of the vendor taking the corn out the cooker to put it into a wrapping paper. The little jumps he makes to fight the cold makes him double the cuteness than he already has.
Minhyuk hands the first corn to Hyungwon and receives his own corn right after but he gives it to Hyungwon to hold it first as he gets his wallet inside his bag. He pays the vendor the right amount and turns his attention back to Hyungwon.
“Yummy?” Minhyuk asks Hyungwon when he sees that the taller one is already biting into his corn and Hyungwon only hums and nods to the question earning a satisfied smile from Minhyuk. When it comes to food, Hyungwon is always the baby. Often then Minhyuk would feed Hyungwon to finish his food since he was busy with his work and he is not the type of guy with a big appetite.
Minhyuk begins to bite his corn but as he is not very good with hot food, he burns his lips and tongue. He feels embarrassed when Hyungwon happily laughs at him for being so clumsy.
Minhyuk throws his fist at Hyungwon, and the latter exaggeratedly throws himself away as if Minhyuk’s punch is really strong. Minhyuk frowns at his boyfriend's behavior and whines at him but the latter returns him with the warmest hug he ever gives. “Aww did you burn your tongue baby? Come here, let me heals it.” Hyungwon cups Minhyuk's cheek with one hand as he leans forward to kiss the pout.
“Hyungwon! People are watching!” Minhyuk tries to break free from Hyungwon’s grasp but to no avail. “Let them.”
“Their eyes are blessed since we are a lovely couple”
“Cringe!” Minhyuk gives a kitty punch to Hyungwon’s shoulder.
