An almost inaudible, squishy sound that resounded around the room. The scent of rice powder and red bean paste had drifted about. And the very hand that made something was covered with a thin layer of white dust.
Leonard hummed in delight, admiring the entirety of it as he kept on making sticky rice balls. One after the other in complete tranquility. He scooped a portion of that dark brown yet almost reddish-colored sticky substance, shaped them with ease into a ball, gently placing it down on a wooden plate among the rest and then repeat.
As he got to last one, he felt another hand touching his waist, one that was far smaller than his own.
“Leo, is it done?”
And with a nod to his head, he replied in a low merry tone, “mhm, here’s yours, Princess.”
It wasn’t even a second later did the Princess took one sticky rice ball and had a small bite out of it. While chewing on, her face gave away that look of satisfaction she always had when accomplishing today’s quest for a good night’s sleep.
Leonard never felt much happier at this moment, smiling softly as he looked at her eating away with much gusto.
