Chapter Text
It was a pretty quiet early morning after the chaos that just happened the night before. Though at the moment, TommyInnit & Ranboo laid on the floor of Ranboo’s sky building with some pillows and blankets from Techno’s house. The two laid, hand in hand, comforting the other while thinking of their consequences later and how everyone is doing at the moment. Ranboo had brought Tommy to the sky building for the boy’s safety and recovered, plus his own. Being revived for a second time was still taking a toll on Tommy but it was better to be in a place of silence and someone to comfort him than being overwhelmed by yelling and plotting. It was much different from when he was revived in Prison by his abuser. He was in a safe area with a friend. It was more welcoming and provided him with a place of peace from what might happen once they go back to ground level. They thought of what their friends were doing. Tubbo was probably stressed the fuck out while Quackity was tearing everything & everyone a new ass. Michael & Shroud have no clue since they were left in the care of Connor & Eret. There was a small memory of arguing back at Techno’s house. The smoke and heat had gotten to him and really messed up his breathing & tears screwed with his vision. He was glad it was all over but the aftermath awaited in the faltering hours as the sky started turning to an orange hue. The skies slowly faded as the sun climbed to the sky. The two teens still laid sleeping, as the light shined through the window. So soon the sky turned from orange to blue and the dark clouds faded into white. This was when a blonde teenager slowly opened his grey eyes. He yawned and stretched out his muscles. They felt heavy and weak but he had to get the stiffness of sleep out of him. Once he had done that, Tommy looked over to Ranboo. The ender hybrid’s face and arms was covered in bandages and unattended burns but he had a stoic look of sleep on his face. He still held the blonde’s hand in his and barely faltered in its grasp. Tommy let out a heavy huff, as he shifted to look around. The sky building had a strange shape to it but it was wide enough that it didn’t make Tommy feel trapped and it didn’t make him feel exposed. The blonde laid back down and looked over to his companion. He reached over and squeezed the hybrid’s cheek with his free hand.
“Wake up, boo” whispered Tommy.
Ranboo let out a sound but seemed to refuse to wake up. Tommy squeezed his cheek a bit harder.
“Wake up, boob boy,” said Tommy.
He got an annoyed groan, leaning his face back to avoid the pinch of Tommy. The blonde smirked and squeezed the ender hybrid’s nose.
“Bitch” hummed Tommy, drawing out the ‘b’.
Ranboo’s heterochromia eyes slowly opened and glared at the blonde’s smug face.
“Morning boob” smiled Tommy.
“Good Morning, Tommy” sighed Ranboo, as they pushed away Tommy's hand.
“You sleep alright?” he asked.
“As best as you can on a stone floor” retorted Tommy, as he rolled over into Ranboo’s side.
“Yeah, I was gonna put a bed in here but didn’t have time to work on it” huffed Ranboo, as he rested his head on his arms.
“Getting a bed in here isn’t that hard” stated Tommy.
“I know but I was busy doing other things, '' mumbled Ranboo, as he pressed his face into his arms.
'Do you atleast have food here?’ questioned Tommy, curling his tail around Ranboo’s leg.
The ender hybrid was quiet for a moment and began looking around. The blonde teen followed his gaze. Ranboo then pointed towards a corner.
“I think I have some apples and bread in that chest,” replied Ranboo.
Tommy nodded and slowly sat up. He stretched his legs & tail out once again as he got to his feet. He opened up the chest and looked around in it. He found exactly what he and Ranboo needed and a bit more. He grabbed a small box that was filled with apples & small loaves of bread.
“Heck yeah, a jack pot” whispered Tommy, as he made his way back towards Ranboo.
The ender hybrid seemed to be dozing again if the blonde teen hadn’t placed himself back beside them. He gently nudged Ranboo.
“Sit up boss man, we gotta eat” said Tommy, as he waved a bread in Ranboo’s face
The ender hybrid let out another tired sound as they moved into a sitting position. Tommy wrapped his tail around their thigh as he passed the food over. Ranboo nodded in thanks as he bit into the bread. Tommy returned it as he began to eat the apples. It was a simple and nice breakfast. There was no worry of someone barging in or ringing communicators for a favor.Tommy had no witty jokes and Ranboo didn’t have any facts about flowers to share. It was just a quiet breakfast between freshly damaged & traumatized friends who really needed each other. It was just peaceful.
The two teens didn’t know what time it was, but it seemed they dozed off after their breakfast. The sun was high in the blue sky and the only sounds were the wind and distant chattering of people below. This time it was Ranboo who woke up first. He stretched out his own limbs and sat up. His body was pretty sore from his wounds and tight bandages. He loosened them a bit around his wrist and neck. Most of the night before was a blur so it was probably rushed to patch them up. Though he hoped they would have time before confrontation just to get their thoughts together. The two teens talked a bit about what had happened last night but it became an off & on comfort for each other. They were to fault for everything that had happened. Ranboo took part in both Las Nevadas & Syndicate affairs. Tommy was just following them & Wilbur around most of the time but just happened to rekindle a bond with people who were a part of Las Nevadas. Tubbo had also joined forces with Las Nevadas which made things difficult between the trio. The past months have been filled with tension between everyone which was the opposite of what everyone wished for. Everything was fine but it seemed certain events began to cause everything to spiral. It was just a matter of time & planning for things to collapse.
Tubbo probably hated him for helping the enemy. He might end up ending their friendship because of it, since they had been on the rocks since the fast food war. What would happen with Michael if they split up? Techno & Wilbur still had no clue about the younger piglin hybrid so bringing the kid to the Antarctic Empire wouldn’t work, Tubbo might not even let the kid go with him. Just with these thoughts in his head, the ender hybrid could feel his breathing quicken. Their face was starting to sting from tears stinging from his old burns . As he tried to rub them away with the blanket, Tommy seemed to shift and sit up beside him. His grey eyes met with Ranboo’s two toned ones.
“What's wrong, boss man?” questioned the blonde, pressing face against the ender hybrid’s shoulder.
“Just thinking about Tubs & Michael” confessed Ranboo, between sniffles.
“My judgment was wrong from the start and Tubbo probably hates me once we leave this place” he added, pressing the blanket into his face.
Tommy moved to where their shoulders were together. The demon blonde wrapped the blanket around the ender hybrid & himself. There was a silence that hung in the air. Tommy then started speaking.
“Not entirely, you never meant any harm to anyone and communication with certain folks is difficult” retorted Tommy.
“Especially when faced with looming threats & misunderstandings” he added, pressing closer to Ranboo’s side.
“Communication hasn’t always been my thing though since jumping to conclusions happens so often around here” sighed Ranboo.
“Yeah, but planning ahead can help, like how someone writes a speech before giving it” suggested Tommy.
“Are you saying we should come up with an essay of some sort?” questioned the ender hybrid.
“No but actually yes” stated Tommy.
Ranboo gave the blonde boy a confused look.
“I don’t know man, but it seems like it could work since im guessing everyone is probably too tired to put up a fight” huffed Tommy.
“I know I am,” he added, as a yawn escaped.
“Same, we can figure this out once we have enough energy to do something” laughed Ranboo, as he placed an arm around the blonde.
“Not now then, I'm just hungry and tired again” declared Tommy, as he laid back down.
“Hope we don’t run out of food, because of you” jokes Ranboo.
“Bitch!” scoffed Tommy, before grabbing an apple from the box.
The ender hybrid smirked before taking some bread.
Once again, the two teens ate in peace, with occasional remarks from Ranboo and Tommy insulting him in response. They were getting a little better yet still waited for when they felt ready to confront their friends.
