Hey guys, welcome to my BNHA x OC story. I’ve been wanting to do one for a while now and I drew it as well hah. (You can check that out on my Wattpad account Junsachi14)
This first page is mostly just describing my character on her quirk, name, and all that jazz. I know the facts I’m about to describe below are probably inaccurate as hell but for the sake of my character just ignore it.
Full Name: Kinu Nakano (Kinu is her first name)
Age: 15
Birthday: May 14th
Quirk: Moth
Quirk Details:
Kinu’s quirk is based on moths. She has large moth wings that are inspired by the Cecropia moth. She has white feather-like antennas that also enhance her sense of smell, as well as a white fluffy neckpiece. Like moths, Kinu also has the ability of night vision. Her wings are not like feathers obviously, so her wings are more delicate and more susceptible to damage. To help prevent this, Kinu needs a diet that contains a high amount of Keratin, therefore she eats fabric such as silk, wool, cotton, etc. along with her daily diet of normal foods. Keratin is a protein that makes up skin, hair, etc, so it would be the same for her wings. In addition to strengthening her delicate wings, keratin also helps prevent scratching & tearing. Even though Kinu has wings, she can’t fly for hours. Her wings would eventually get weak from carrying her weight.
Fun fact: The reason why I decided to give her the need to eat cloth is mostly because I wanted something fun but also because some moths actually eat clothes for the Keratin in them. I know there is normal food we eat that contains this protein, but again I thought it be neat and original. I also believe Cecropia moths, the one Kinu is based off on doesn't actually eat fabric so please ignore real-life facts here lol.
Also, Kinu means silk in Japanese and is an actual name so I thought it was too good to not use for my fabric-eating friend.
