Chapter Text
"Ah shoot, this is no good." Beidou hummed, her hand on her chin as she examined the damage. People crowded the surrounding area, to gander at the flaming ship on the docks. "I could write a letter to Ningguang, and ask about the expenses for repairs..." Beidou hummed. Kazuha remained close to Beidou, not taking a liking to the crowd.
"My, my," Ayato said, Thoma standing beside him as they stood a distance from the wreck. "that's quite the eyesore," Ayato said. "Thoma, do me a favor and get that flaming heap of garbage off the docks before I have more paperwork." He said. The blonde beside him nodded, "Right away, my Lord." Thoma rushed to the scene. "Ahoy there!" Thoma chirped, making both Beidou and Kazuha turn to him. "Thoma! Just the man I wanted to see!" Beidou snickered, wrapping an arm about the lad. "Aha, well you see...the man of the clan sent me over. His words weren't so kind about your ship here." Thoma chuckled. "He wants it off the docks immediately, Captain." He said. "well tell him to cover the repairs and I'll get to it!" Beidou said. "if that ain't the case than ol' Alcor ain't moving anytime soon." She said.
"I see," Thoma placed a hand on his chin. "You need some quick mora...but Master Ayato won't just give it to you." He said. But his posture quickly perked as an idea popped up, "The Kamisato Clan is currently looking for someone to care for the Young Lady of the Clan while Ayato and I attend a festival in Fontaine." Thoma said. "So a babysitter is what you need..." Beidou said. "Why can't the Lady of the Clan attend the festival?" Kazuha spoke up, truly curious. "Ah, well you see, both me and Ayato have tried to pull as many strings as we could to get her to join us but Ayato was the only one invited, and on top of that, someone needs to take care of the paperwork here in Inazuma." Thoma said. "And that's not a job we can simply request someone to fill because of the strict confidentiality between clans." He further explain.
"Kazuha and I have got this! Don't worry! In the mean time however," Beidou smirked. "You got a water hose or something?" She asked, pointing to the still-flaming ship behind her. "Ah... sure?" Thoma shrugged, a nervous smile on his face.

"Aha! Excellent! This will do nicely!" Ayato clapped his hands with joy, the deal was settled. "Consider this a settlement," Ayato said, snapping his fingers as a guard brought forth a large chest. "Inside this chest you will find Fifty-million mora," Ayato said. "fifty...million?" Kazuha uttered. "This alone could repair the Alcor! We should set shore by tomorrow!" Beidou said. "Hahahahahahahaha," Ayato's forced laughter caused the surrounding two to be a bit startled. "You humor me, Captain Beidou. But don't go back on our deal now, it wouldn't be for the best~" he cooed, his cold blue eyes were intimidating enough with his small smirk.
Kamisato Ayato - The Head of the Kamisato Clan in Inazuma's Yashiro Commission. He takes care of the governmental affairs for the Shogunate. His personality may seem childish, but he is a known trickster, along with his outstanding skill with a polearm and sword. His high status and sense of justice is topped off with his Hydro vision.
"Ayaka, you have guests. Wouldn't like to introduce yourself?" Ayato asked, calling for his sister. "Ah...yes." Ayaka's voice peeped from behind a screen used for changing clothes. Kazuha's eyes widened slightly at the sound of the Shirasagi Himegimi's voice, it was soft and sweet, almost timid. But of course, he should have expected nothing less. The petite girl was dressed in royal blue cloths, a large bow at her back where her cryo vision was, pieces of armor to compliment it and the Kamisato crest on her chest plate. Her hair was long, a color between white and lavender, and was tied to top of her head along with a small hairpiece that was gold and black. "Thank you for helping out the Kamisato Clan in this dire need." She said, with a gentle bow. Kazuha bowed in return, rather quick with it as well. He even took longer to stand, perhaps it was because he'd already glanced into the girl's eyes once...and was too nervous to do it again.
"It's nothing really," Beidou said. "Say, Ayato, was it?" Beidou said, making the male turn his head. "Are there any other perks to this?" She asked. "My, my, aren't you a greedy one?" Ayato sighed, adjusting his posture as he sat with his legs crossed. "I could put in any requests before I take my leave, just let me know what services you need." Ayato said, snapping his fingers once again as this time, a maiden appeared at his side with a pen and paper. "Could you get me some drinks? Like anything alcoholic?" Beidou asked. "We have Liyue and Mondstadt wines, and Inazuma itself has a selection of alcoholic beverages." Ayato said. The maiden beside him took notes. "Also put in tailoring, I wouldn't want them to present themselves are they are, going about the city and such." Ayato said to the maiden. "gee, thanks." Beidou said monotonously.
"You also have an allowance for extracurricular activities, things that you'll do outside of the clan's chores." Ayato said. "wha-- CHORES?" Beidou yelled. "Of course, you don't get free alcohol, you perky little leeches." Ayato snickered. "Ahaha, ah, well, Kazuha you've got that handled, don't you?" Beidou laughed, wrapping an arm around Kazuha, patting his shoulder as she obnoxiously continued laughing. "Master Ayato," Kazuha spoke up. "Just what is the duration of our job?" Kazuha asked. "Oh! Hehe, I almost forgot." Ayato chirped. "Our vacation will last about a month." He said. "Wait...Vacation?" Beidou hissed quietly. "Thoma said it was invitation to a festival." Kazuha hummed. "Well let's get packing then, shall we, Thoma?" Ayato said, standing up. "R-Right away, my Lord.." Thoma bowed. Ayato walked over to Beidou's patting her shoulder. "I'm counting on you, Captain. Do not disappoint me." He said. Beidou went stiff, "Right..."
