Chapter Text
On the wall opposite the window, on the thirtieth story of a particular school, there are six photographs.
The first, strangely, is of an apple.
The next photograph is of a woman. From looking at her, you'd guess that she was very kind. You would guess correctly.
Next to the kind woman is a man with three nostrils. Then there is a woman with a blue journal. Then there is a woman with an ear on top of her head.
The last photograph is of the kind woman again. This time, she is holding a baby.
Beneath the wall opposite the window is a teacher's desk. A young woman with short hair and a regular number of features is sitting in the chair, unpacking spare pencils, rubber bands, red pens, a stapler, and all the other things a young woman needs to become a teacher. Tomorrow is her first day of school.
If you're the type of person who pays attention to babies, you just might recognize her.
