You woke up to the cold wind blowing through the cracks in your house walls, shivering from the winter’s breath. During this claimant, the only thing on your mind was to keep your small garden alive as long as possible. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem that you would be successful at this.
After waking yourself up and getting dressed, you heard a knock on the door. You opened it to find a letter on the doorstep, but nobody was there at the entrance.
“Okay, not weird at all,” you mumbled sarcastically. You were too tired for this ding dong ditch shit. As you read the letter, you smiled.
‘I have no plans this afternoon. If you don’t either, may I pay a visit for some more tea? -Xiao’
“Of course you can,” you grinned and put the letter on your table for now.
——
As the sun began to set, you began to worry. Or maybe it was excitement? You couldn’t really tell at the moment. To pass the time, you began to brew some water for the tea then cleaned up the small house a little bit. Though you were keeping yourself busy, you couldn’t stop thinking about when he would show up.
That was until you heard another knock on the door and stopped what you were doing to answer it.
“I was wondering when you’d show up!” You grinned.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Xiao rubbed his neck as if he was embarrassed to see you. “I’m right on time.”
“Whatever, just come on in. The tea should be ready in just a bit!”
As you sat him down, you noticed a mark of dirt on his cheek. Maybe he was handling some business before coming over? Nonetheless, you wiped it off with your hand so it wouldn’t be dirty while you guys drank.
Xiao’s face got red immediately, “Who gave you permission to touch me!?“ he looked away.
“This dirt on your face.” You said, wiping more off of his chin then washing yours hands. “You know, you can say thank you every once in a while.”
“Thanks-“ he mumbled.
“You’re welcome, my little devil boy~” you said jokingly.
“Don’t call me that..” Xiao frowned up at you.
You rolled your eyes and went to get the tea, pouring both you and him a cup before sitting next to him at the table.
“So who’d you beat up?” You asked.
“Huh? I didn’t beat anyone up?” Xiao looked at you, confused by such a question.
“Well you had dirt on your face, so I just assumed you beat up someone.” You shrugged, taking a sip from your cup.
“Oh, I forgot-“ He stood up, going outside for a moment before coming back in with some flowers in his hands. “I was going to give you these later, but I guess now’s okay.”
“Aww, you’re being so nice, my little devil boy,” you smiled, accepting the flowers.
“I said don’t call me that!“ his face got red again.
——
After you two talked and talked, the sky became darker and darker.
“I suppose I should get going; I don’t want to be a disturbance for you.” Xiao sighed, going to the door.
“Wait, I forgot to return the favor for your flowers!” You ran over to him.
“You don’t have to—“
You shut him up with another kiss, not really caring much for what he was going to say.
“Have a goodnight, Xiao,” you grinned at his tomato face as he quickly waved goodbye and left.
“Man, he’s so funny when he blushes like that-“ you laughed a little.
