Asahi knows it and he can feel that Jaehyuk knows it too.
As he lay next to his boyfriend of 3 years, he looks back to how they all began.
They met at a party. When Asahi saw Jaehyuk looking at him across the room, he felt a strong attraction and Jaehyuk felt the same too. They asked for each others phone numbers, spent hours of late night talks over the phone and shared peaceful afternoon walks along the Han River. It didn't take long for them to start dating.
They shared too many wonderful memories. One year into the relationship when Jaehyuk casually asked him if he likes the idea of living with him and Asahi said yes with much excitement. Everything was fun and beautiful. They're young and in love.
"We love each other. Nothing could go wrong."
"We can work things out because we have each other."
"We will never fall apart."
But they're both wrong.
A year after, that's when something changed. Arguments is normal in a relationship but when they start arguing over small petty things that lead to either one of them shouting or insulting the other one, that's where every thing goes wrong.
The fights became constant that it became tiring to the point that Jaehyuk is walking on eggshells when he's around Asahi and the younger would avoid talking to Jaehyuk coz he's scared that it will only lead to another argument, another fight.
They're not the same Asahi and Jaehyuk anymore.
They built a relationship from the fire they had for each other the first time their eyes met. And now, it pains him that Jaehyuk can't even look in his eyes anymore.
They're like riding a bus together but just waiting for who will be the one to get off first.
This is it. Their teaser. Their break up teaser.
Asahi close his eyes, praying that there will be a plot twist to their story. He snuggled closer to Jaehyuk. He started kissing him.
And he responded.
Jaehyuk moved and changed their position. He is now on top of Asahi, deepening the kiss. All Asahi can do is whimper under his touch and moan by the way Jaehyuk is worshipping his body. They gave each other pleasure after pleasure until they're both spent.
The sex is the same. Hot, raw and wild. But the feelings, it's not the same as before.
And when their backs hit the sheets, nothing has changed. There's no plot twist. Asahi wants to cry but he tried to hold the tears by staring at the ceilings.
Asahi finally decided that this is it. He needs to get off the bus now. He needs to let him go.
"Jae.."
Jaehyuk hummed in response.
"Let's break up."
