2:34am-
You loaded your suitcases into the cab.The rainy season of Japan had already started, it was warm but cold at the same time.
‘The airport please’
‘Yes ma’am’
Looking out of the window wasn’t the same, before there were dreams and hopes, now…. There was only an urge to leave.Looking at the familiar streets of your childhood angered you.
High school was a messy topic. After taking your final exams (with the highest marks ever recorded) you were excluded….details arent important,neither was high school anymore.
You were leaving Japan behind, what else. Friends? Family? No friend or family was worth enough to make you stay. But still… tears fell from your eyes in silence.
There was no one to rely on in Japan, everything was fake, but still there was a looming sadness in your heart.
After nodding of multiple times you were a mere 15 minutes from the airport. That’s weird, there’s a mall.It wasn’t there before.You had enough time to loiter around the mall and then walk to the airport in time for you flight.
‘My final hours in Japan, might aswell’
The mall had a vintage style, it was small and homely?
There was a courtyard in the middle with beautiful scenery.You sat on the empty benches trying to figure what was causing the ache in your heart, what was causing the hesitation to not leave.
Deep in your thoughts was a comforting place.
‘Y/N!’
A voice shouted out from far behind you.The voice sounded like it was from deep in your thoughts.
‘Bokuto kotaro’
It was real.
You walked to him and he ran to you.

Bokuto stood in front of you, his eyes staring at your face.
‘why are you doing this to me’ his voice was small.
‘I’m not doing anything’ you spoke with an edge.
He took a step forward.
‘Where are you going?’
You gulped knowing you were trapped. Tears began to form in your eyes, his plan was working.
‘To college you know’
‘Please don’t go’
Silence.
Giving in to the silence he collapsed onto your shoulder, sobbing.
He held onto you with a tight grip.
‘I told you everything…’ he tried to say through sobs
You stood up straight still trying not to show any emotion.He hung onto your body like it was his last hope.
Silence.
You didn’t want to say anything to ruin it even more.
‘DONT YOU GET IT Y/N? I LOVE YOU’
Hearing those words, it was relieving, the last three words sounded like they could fix the ache in your heart.
Eventually you gave in.
Was this really how weak you were?
At that moment the rain started pouring down onto you both.
Breaking out into tears you held him in your arms.
‘YOU THINK I WANT TO GO?’
At this point you were both clinging onto each other in tears.
‘They why? Why are you leaving me. Don’t go y/n.I love you, so much’
Those words, those were the words that cured the pain in your heart. Those words made you realise, what’s the point of living in sorrow, living in regret and sadness, when you can…. Love someone.
You held both of his hands,
‘I love you too.So much, I always have.’
You looked into his eyes, they glistened, there was little to no light outside but they still glistened.
You wanted to stay. So bad. Just so you could be with him.But you had to go..
Staying for longer in Japan at a time like this was lethal.
You were running late for your flight,Bokuto was still sniffling on your shoulder.
You hoisted him up onto is feet by pushing his shoulders back.
He stared with hopefull eyes.
‘I’m going to be late…. I have to go’
Bokuto wasn’t mad.
‘I’ll let you go… on one condition. You have to promise, promise you’ll come back.’
A smile grew on your face,
Before you could say anything, Bokuto pressed his lips onto yours. You shared a sweet kiss. Is this what you had been looking forward to for you while life?
He pulled away and smiled awaiting your response.
At this point happy and sad tears started streaming from your eyes, happy that you had found the man that could fix any ache or void in your heart, sad that you now had to leave him for a while.
But it was inevitable (Like thanos)
It had to happen, so get it over with and leave him, but promise to come back soon.
‘I promise……..’
